yea, still sad
also, i found this site which archived flash games here. Maybe it could work
assuming what OP of this post recalls is true, and that stevestartup.com is the shoddy “indie dev” website, it still doesnt fill the criteria of “not a flash game” (if i remember correctly)
I'd highly recommend releasing the source code under the GNU GPLv3 (only), everything else under the CC BY-SA 4.0 Int (only) license, and self-hosting a web interface for git, or maybe using notabug if that's not feasible.
Adobe with stop support for flash in December. The most popular browsers will then stop supporting flash however some will keep it. As long as you can download the swf or flv file, the flash animation is still there and playable with flash. And yeah, you will still be able to download flash player. Idk if adobe will keep it available (probably not) but you will still be able to download it through another website.
If you’re searching for a game you think may be lost, run a search through this list: https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/datahub/Game_Master_List If it’s there, you can download blue Maximas flashpoint and play it.
If you know about this shit already, that’s great! If you don’t, let me know if you need a hand with anything.
