No, the database wasn't compromised. On that note, all passwords are hashed in the database and can't be retrieved even if somebody somehow gained access to it. Hashing is a one-way function that's practically impossible to be reversed - you can read more about hash functions here.
He's likely just brute forcing the accounts. Though, if you're still concerned about your account's safety, here's some ways to beef up security:
Another thing to note is that if your account is compromised, you're always welcome to shoot us a message at - we can help you get your Toons back if they're deleted.
> No Executive Office, no Doodles, no TT Retextured, no renovated website, no Secret Friends, etc. Not even any tiny miscellaneous features to at least say they've implemented something.
As much as I'd like to say that what you're saying is absolutely true, there's some things you need to keep in mind of.
As for the new website and the Executive Office Tower? Unfortunately they delayed the release of the new website simply because they keep adding onto it and changing it up. And I honestly wish the storyline would continue so that the Executive Office Tower and Operation: Duck Hunt will finally come, but they've been slacking down on that as well. Not sure what is holding them up for any of this really.
Lo and behold, they've made this blog post analyzing their plan for 2017. Only time will tell if they'll truly keep to their word. I'm bored of this game as well.
>EVERYTHING is now bannable.
According to the Terms of Service, everything is allowed to be used as grounds for account termination. You agreed to these Terms when you signed up to play.
> Toontown Rewritten and its staff may, at their discretion, terminate your access to our services at any time for any reason.
The moderation team's job is to ensure that the game is safe and fun for the community as a whole. If they see anybody causing trouble for any reason, they will take whatever action they deem necessary to protect the game and its community.
I'm sorry if the rules are too strict for your liking. But don't forget that you're under no obligation to play Toontown Rewritten, so you are free to spend your time elsewhere.
I don't believe we touched the textures from what they are on TTO. We are recreating every texture to make it HD. Project Toontown Retextured! https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/191/backstage-toontown-retextured
Hey there! Welcome to the Toontown Community. As you may know, this community is a reboot of the original game: Disney's Toontown Online. Unlike having one original game, there are multiple servers that host a different version of Toontown.
Toontown Rewritten stays to the idea of staying original to the true Disney game while also making tweaks that enhance the game even more. Their server is the most populated. Read more about the server here:
https://www.toontownrewritten.com/
Toontown Infinite is another server. Their goal is to break away from the original game and continue to innovate providing new updates. This is the second most well known server. Read more about their server here:
https://toontowninfinite.com/
There are other servers like Toontown Apex and random servers that people made. You should go check them out and see what they're all about. Anyways, welcome to the community!
I didn't say that they prevent brute forcing - I gave them as general security tips.
Though, two-factor authentication does help protect against brute forcing because even in the event that they're able to get your password, they're unable to log in to your account due to needing a code that you can only get from your smartphone. The code changes every 30 seconds as well. That's where the account activity page comes in - if you notice an unusual location signing into your account but being unable to get past two-factor authentication, that's a sign that you should probably change your password.
Cattleogs are coming this week, too!
> The 6 hour sessions and doubled slot limits are sticking around, and it's now easier than ever to get into Toontown. My heart goes out to those of you who stuck with us during those 300 hour PlayLine waits, but no longer will you need to be leaving your computer on overnight to get in game. The average PlayLine wait time seems to be somewhere around 3 hours, and you'll get to enjoy the game twice as long by continuing to play with your Quadrupled Access. > > Oh, and by the way: If any of you new Toons are looking for a job around town, I've heard that Clarabelle Cow is going to be needing a lot of deliveries this week.
This was actually fixed a while back in Panda3D 1.10.9 https://www.panda3d.org/blog/sdk-1-10-9-release/ , TTR just needs to update their panda3D. Corporate Clash does not have this issue since we updated when this was released.
[fixed, as in, the developer rdb worked around a bug in AMD’s drivers]
Not still up from disney, no. There are several servers. If you would want one like the old one with a few improvements you should play Toontown Rewritten. If you want to play ones with a few more changes you could play the other servers, Project Altis, and Operation: Dessert Storm, I dont have their links though. There are a few ones to play on private servers such as Toontowns Funny Farm and Toontown Offline.
First of all, TTR has had many mega invasions, the most recent one being a mega Cold Caller invasion. Second of all, pretty sure the calendar in the book is still the same as TTO and is not updated with TTR. Third of all, why the heck are you back in 1992?
I addressed this here, and there's also a blog post about it here -- we've been slacking on some of our promises, and we have a goal to fulfill every single one of them before we move on. If you look at that blog post, we've actually hit our plan so far and even gotten a little bit ahead of schedule.
Just hang in there. We're working to fix things up, but it takes time!
The old surprise animation from Toontown Online was actually a few frames of the "conked" animation that Toons play when hit by a Cog. We added our version based on the 2003 commercial as a demonstration of Toontown Rerigged!
Welcome to Toontown Rewritten!
I'm not sure about the option of moving your toon with the mouse, but we do look at all suggestions and improve things with time. There is a limit of how far you can get with the way the game was originally built, so not everything is possible, but we do improve things we can, if they are not hurting the feeling of the game in general (a lot of the players like the nostalgia feeling).
We are also working on an HD option for the far future to improve the graphics (here is a sneak peak if you wanna check: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/191/backstage-toontown-retextured), though this will take a long time to finish. :P
As for taking more tasks while at TTC, this playground is really quick to finish as is, and I assume that's why disney didn't have this option so soon in first place.
The meaning on TTR is to keep the game style as close to the original as possible, but do improve the gameplay to match it into the current year we live in, as well as adding new content. So it's pretty much the same toontown, but just a version of toontown that gets updated, and that includes technical things as well (such as wide screen support for example). So it's not "as old school as possible", but more like a balance between keeping the game as we know it, and still matching it to 2016. This is what we assume would happen in the original game if it wouldn't close.
I've known that they did the New Years Top Toons in the beginning of 2015. I think something like that should happen again!
Actually, we know where the fish go, as it was mentioned in an old TTR blog post (Alpha)
It mentions:
>Alright, so all of those fish you have been catching the past few days? Normally they go straight to the Pet Shop for studying, then dumped back into the pond. (Which is a bit strange, don't you think? They're studying the same fish over and over again. Heh, scientists.)
Source: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/12/daily-alpha-update-ice-sink
The game is completely the same as when Disney owned it, except with improvements and a couple features that are missing (for now).
The team has made a large amount of tweaks to the game, those of which can be found in the patch notes on this blog post
The game is currently missing a couple features, such as parties, golf, and doodles. The reason doodles are not yet available is because the way they are written makes them very server-intensive, so the team would like to rewrite them in a way that will make them easier on the game. Golf was released over a year ago, but was removed due to crashing and issues with the physics (those golf balls were evil I tell you!)
Bossbot HQ received a massive redesign, making it larger and more cog-like than ever before. There is also a new area at Bossbot HQ called the "Executive Office", however you'll have to stay tooned to figure out what lies inside.
Other than that, the game is completely identical to the game Disney had, and there is still more to come. New content is in the works, as well as all of those old features that still need to make a return.
If you're going to get back into the game, it would be good to start now and try to work your way through a bit, the reason being that sometime this month will be "Operation: Storm Sellbot", which you wont want to miss for sure!
The game shut down. You are a little late. But remakes, like Toontown Rewritten ( https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news ) are currently being worked on. I've noticed ages 10-25 that usually play Toontown. In the game, you kill business robots that just want to make money to support their families (Jk, they are evil robots)
Let me start off with this: nothing is impossible to exploit.
That being said, we're trying our best to make it extremely hard to do, and we've made tremendous progress since Toontown Online. Not only have we safeguarded the client from malicious code injection from day one, but we've also been fixing up other exploits that Disney being left behind.
Let me reiterate... true hacking is gone for the time being. You can no longer inject your own code into the game and run off of that. If we didn't, you'd be seeing a lot more disruptions, and old Toontown Online injectors would be mostly compatible with Toontown Rewritten. However, they're not -- we've patched that up.
What's currently happening is an exploitation of the original client code that we borrowed from Disney, and that's perfectly plausible. Although we've tried our best to get most of the exploitable stuff out, we could've easily missed something that others could have found, and that's what those "hackers" are relying on -- finding that code.
That being said, your information, toon's data, and account information are safe and secure. All that's going on right now is some silly code by Disney that allows clients to see and edit too much data, which can ultimately result in other clients seeing what one client wants them to see -- which is where this whispers with profanity is coming from. It's also most likely why you're seeing toons doing weird animations that they wouldn't be doing otherwise.
So no worries, nothing's truly being hacked or injected, but there are exploits in every system, and it's good we're finding them now and fixing them in a Beta rather than later. Remember -- we care about this game as much as you do, and we'll be fixing up the problems we find! :)
Never use toonter. They don't save their passwords effectively. It already happened one time before this, too.
Never use the same password for everything. Use a website like Random.org to generate random ones.
>Protect Your Privacy!
>On the internet, nobody knows you're not a Toon! Don't share any personal details about your stuff with others - especially your username, password, or phone number. If your friends ever ask, just give them a polite "Sorry, I can't."
Try Open Broadcaster. Has no watermarks and its open source free.
Not sure how to work with it though, since ive been using fraps for the longest. But I hear great quality videos can be made from it.
Well, there are reasons. Here is the reason that 'Sir Max' provided on TTR's blog post
Now on a technical level, Doodles are hard. Servers have tried implementing them but they normally backfire or they take it out of their game. Take Toontown Infinite for example. They had Doodles released and eventually, it was taken away from the game.
The major drawback Doodles has is really lagging the server. The server takes a massive dump whenever Doodles are implemented into the game which caused constant crashing and district resets in Toontown Infinite. This is why Toontown Rewritten is taking them time with Doodles to make sure none of this happens on their game so it'll be smooth sailing when the feature comes out. Doodles can be implemented easily. I feel like Toontown Rewritten could launch Doodles right now as a feature, but the problem is if the server can handle it.
Are you on Windows XP? Windows XP does not support newer versions of SSL and is, in fact, considered abandoned by Microsoft.
EDIT: Oh, you're running an outdated version of the launcher. Try upgrading to launcher v1.2.1 at https://www.toontownrewritten.com/update

Reading https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/141/the-end-of-an-alpha-era this post got me so pumped. It's becoming a reality here soon for us non-alpha testers. I'm especially pumped for this:
> One of the main points of Beta is to give our servers and game technology a massive overhaul in preparation for the public release to ensure that everyone has a chance to play smoothly without interruption - and hopefully even more smoothly than ever before.
Another great tool that I really love is lastpass. They have a similar random password generator but the added convenience of automatically saving it for you and auto-filling it when you login to the sites through a browser plugin. They also support two-factor authentication for added security and strongly recommend it for some extra protection.
It's also not stored locally in a plain text file so you are a little more protected assuming you use a strong master password.
> I doubt that hackers would try hard enough to hack a children's game if they'd add layers that would be hard for them to get around
Heh, I used to think the same thing three years ago until I joined TTR. Curse thee, Murphy's Law!
no, that data is old and from the end of 2014. the only thing of any value was email addresses, but most people in the toontown community aren't interested in setting up email scams anyways
> $2y$10$2345235245245.252452453425345345
that's how passwords would have appeared to us on the site, back when it still ran on php. the password_hash function was used (src), which is generally considered the safest option.
the site backend was eventually completely rewritten and all users were required to set new passwords, so these values aren't the same even if they used the same password.
i forget what cost factor was used but still with about 60 thousand accounts at that time it would take a very long time to crack the passwords, if it's even possible
still, if you're paranoid you can always change your password here: https://toontowninfinite.com/accounts/password/
I've been dying to know the answer to this, I tried to E-mail staff but nobody would reply despite the fact I resent the E-mail multiple times, so I really want to ask here while the time is ripe-
The rules of the Election specifically stated "Nothing too similar to Dogs, Cats, or anything we already have. No Wolves."
So, as we all know, Fox is a canine. Fox is like a wolf. Put a Fox and a Wolf side by side and you can see the similarity. Even in cartoon Foxes and Wolves, you can see the similarity.
But the rules stated "no dog clones, no canines"
Also, Fox has a slight resemblance to Cat, but the rules also stated "no cat clones, no felines"
So this leads me to ask, why is Fox being allowed to compete in this competition? It seems very contradictory to the rules, as if the rules are literally being broken.
"No Wolves" yet there's a Fox? It seems questionable. And I'd hate to say it, but it's actually made me very suspicious.
It's mostly being worked on one at a time, but the problem is that they keep making announcements and updates to a feature that has been long overdue. They promised a new website and that it's "almost done" when it's last blog post was August 2015.
Instead, the main issue that people are having nowadays is that they have the potential for all these projects, but they don't plan to hire any new developers. There's LOTS of people who applied to become a programmer because Toontown Rewritten has such a lack of programmers in that department that actually code and make features for the game. If other servers like Stride, Infinite and Fellowship can create new features with even a lesser staff team than Rewritten -- then why is it taking so long for Toontown Rewritten to actually fix bugs and make features that people have already done. People have submitted emails on how to fix a certain bug, but yet on Rewritten it still hasn't been fixed yet. That's the main issue that's going on right now.
There is a way to enable Anti Aliasing. You can learn how here
As for the other graphics, the TTR devs have already started working on completely re-texturing the game with much higher quality textures. You can find out about it and view some pictures with this link

Hello. I do think that this is my first time imposing a greeting upon a few of you, so some would say that an introduction would be in order. However, I need no introductions. I will give you one anyway: I am The Blizzard Wizard. Bah, let's get on with this.
The Toon Council is a smart band of Toons - perhaps even as smart as I. Though I do not plan to bother with the atrocities of toonocracy, I am simply a messenger. I do think that the Toon Council has been into my Lumpy Cheese, as they've gone mad with the announcement I have been sent to announce.
Back in my day, Toons would train 36 hours a day, 9 days a week, 14 months per year to exceed our gag limits. Even now, when I sit old and maxed, I still travel the cold streets of The Brrrgh to train my gags and discover more. Maybe only during Mr. Hollywood invasions. They have excellent caviar.
Nonetheless, I am now announcing the reason I have been sent to announce in which the announcement is Double Experience Weekend from Friday to Monday. Go to the streets my children, (Do not think you are actually mine. I am merely a polite rabbit.) and train the gags you have been given. The experience returned will be twice as much, and quadrupled over the invasions.
What's that, toad? Ah yes.
It is time to feast. Remember: You do not truly earn a gag with points, but with experience. Do not ask me what this means. I do not know.
Release Notes: Here
Toontown Rewritten is taking a different approach with this, and it is smart. The team stated here:
"All of our Alpha Testers, as a thanks for helping us, will be given extra keys as well so that they can play with their friends throughout Beta. As Beta goes on, those friends will be given keys to invite their friends, and so on."
They will continuously release key after key to beta testers and so-fourth. Toontown Rewritten will slowly grow larger and larger until it can hardly be called a closed-beta anymore- and soon any toon will be able to join in. They have a large team of talented developers who know Toontown in and out, and dedicated alpha testers who helped with bugs in the past.
Releasing it to the public could cause trouble, and constant downtime would be bad on their part. Be patient, the game is growing fast- and it's only a matter of time until everyone can join in on the fun.
Originally the cogs were supposed to be real business men instead of robots, so if this was from alpha, that might be the reason to the skyscrapers at the background.
Also, I think that dog with the overall is actually flippy! I think he was used on other places on the websites later and was called flippy on them.
I also have some other old pictures from beta and some had him, here is one, notice the weird mickey as well: https://gyazo.com/7fe15e3560a49996657e7485bffc4af7
A person on YouTube named CaptainTTI who is notorious for exploiting and flaming various servers took over his accounts after Otaku accidentally gave out his password in the IRC while attempting to use a command.
OtakuSRL: ~authserv (censored)
OtakuSRL: (censored)
You were kicked by ChanServ, reason: Bad language
First censor was the password and second censor was the foul language OtakuSRL said after accidentally giving it out.
He used this password on almost everything he had and according to How Secure is My Password it would take a desktop PC 7 hours to brute force his account.
Captain ended up hijacking the Reddit for the 2nd time and not only taking off most of the moderators, but making Otaku decide to step down.
Things were fixed within minutes due to Reddit adminstrators quickly getting on the problem, and Otaku's account was temporarily locked.
Otaku has a bad reputation for being incredibly biased and has been accused of other things such as lying, this has caused him to receive lots of hate from some people in the community.
That's basically the story, if you have any more questions, ask.
I pretty much took your guys poorly coded source -
https://ghostbin.com/paste/3u5h9
I've tried with a password list full of hundreds and added my real password to the bottom. Not once did I experience a delay.
Heyo!
self-promo incoming
I’m actually working on something that is similar to what you are asking about, but it’s an Android app rather than a website.
If you’re interested in checking it out, I’ll paste the link below:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.heyitsmedz.toontracker
It’s not really polished as of now, which is why I’ve kept it in Beta at this point, but I am working towards adding features people would like to see.
Right now it lets you keep track of toontasks, cog suits (with a facility calculator), fish, racing & golf trophies, and flowers planted. And it can also save multiple toons.
Would really appreciate it if anybody could check it out and tell me what they think and if there’s anything that should be added :)
Thanks
I'm sorry that I worded that wrong. We've had ideas of a color picker since April: https://gyazo.com/25d7b4b9f523bcca2adb6c8dd3fd4bb3
However, they did implement a color picker before us. We did have an advanced color picker (slider for hue, saturation and value) but we then said we wanted to finally implement a color picker into Toontown Infinite.
It was changed in this update a little over a year ago: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/340/the-sos-card-tweak-peek Lots of SOS details were changed in that update, though the post doesn't go into all of them.
Previously, all three lure SOS did the exact same thing (lure lasting four turns) despite Lil Oldman being 5 star and Ned and Nancy being 3. TTR changed it so Oldman uses presentation (15 turns), Nancy uses hypnos (4 turns), and Ned uses big magnet (3 turns). It was sort of a controversial change, with a lot of people thinking it was too overpowered, but it makes more sense than the Disney way.
Posted by: 'Doctor Surlee' || December 6, 2015 02:15 PM
Greetings. For those who don't know me, I'm Doctor Surlee of Loony Labs. You may have heard some news from my co-worker, Professor Prepostera, a few days back. Today I'm here to bring you another exciting discovery from the labs - a proposed solution to an activity us Toons like to call Minigolf.
Ever since the April Toons Gravity Mishap, and even sometime before, I've been dedicating my work to studying the silly surge anomalies in Toontown. One that peaked my interest was an issue with Golf Balls disobeying the laws of physics.
It's taken me months to find the cause, but with the data we received from the quantum silly gravitations combined with a dose of reorganizing the punny particle structure of the golf ball's molecular field (Luckily some of those moles moved from our golf courses over to the Bossbot's) -- I was finally able to come up with my own Theory of Golfitivity to put an end to the physics-breaking calamities!
Oh. I lost you. Let me put it simply: The Golf Balls are ready to go, and after a bit of preparation, they will be ready for all to use. Chip and Dale's Minigolf will be open to all of Toontown later this week!
I'm sure one of the Toon Troopers will have plenty to tell you about the courses upon their release. Check up in the next few days - the golf shipments are almost over with.
Now, back to my experiments. Since that I've solved that dilemma, it's time to finalize the work on another experiment of mine relating to Silly Surges...
Release Notes: Here
The last phase of Operation Storm Sellbot. It will add Sellbot HQ toontasks from Resistance Rangers, new SOS cards, and even more. Not sure when TTR is releasing it, but it's been a week since Phase 1.
Edit: here's some more info
There is a release note API:
https://www.toontownrewritten.com/api/releasenotes to grab an index of all release notes, similar to /api/news. https://www.toontownrewritten.com/api/releasenotes/172 to grab the details for a particular release note.
Also note that the "server status" API is only just a "login state" API; that is, if the servers exploded, it will still say "open: true". However, if we post a banner like "Shockley knocked over the Jenga tower!" or if we close logins, then that API will tell you the current state.
Welcome to Toontown Rewritten! KingAcorn85 already said gave a really good answer. I'll just add that TTR does have a lot of new content coming (a few small things already happened in the game, such as new clothes and accessorie, and new events, the best things are yet to come though), however our main focus is quality>time. We prefer taking our time with things to make sure they are perfect, instead of releasing things too fast and just say "hey we added new things". Our developers are also busy rewriting the code for most of the game by themselves. :)
As an artist I can also tell you about one of our projects in progress - toontown retextured. You can read about it and see some screenshots of HD toontown on my backstage post: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/191/backstage-toontown-retextured
We had two main original events, elections and toonfest. I have a good recording of the elections here, with the whole npc chat for the storyline: https://youtu.be/QZRvG-As8bE It has our original models, textures and music. It's a bit laggy due to being ages ago when we just finished alpha, game is way more stable now.
We are available if you have any questions or want to hear more. :)
Here is the original blog post: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/190/backstage-translating-the-tooniverse
The idea was that everyone would be on one server, but the text would change depending on what language you had the game set to. SpeedChat would be translated, so you could communicate with people in different languages, and they would see what you said in their language.
I hope it will come out eventually, since it seems like a really cool idea!
Hey, I'd like to see this and help you.
You should sign up for Digital Ocean, you get your own dedicated VPS. If you click on this link, you'll get a $10 credit, which is up to two months free: https://www.digitalocean.com/?refcode=6f72f9ac1e87
Best of all, your site can't be shut off due to high traffic. If you decide to do this and need some help (since there's no cpanel, built in FTP, etc.) feel free to send me a PM and I'll be glad to help you.
And iirc, hostinger takes your site out for the rest of the month now. :(
Hi OP, /r/OtakuSRL, are you talking about keysticks? Just found it by searching for an Xbox 360 controller keybinds program. Trying to find one for Mac, but if OP has a PC this might be able to work.
edit: punctuation
We don't send them out to every player since we don't have your addresses, but you can request one with Toontown Rewritten too! (on a slightly smaller scale, since we pay for these out of pocket)
Check out the Member Mailers -- however we only send them out a couple times a year due to supply & demand.
What, for the adderall?? no! haha in all seriousness sure, it requires Windows 10 with bash on ubuntu on windows. It's pretty cool, I even managed to install xfce on it
but put this in notepad and save it as a bat file. Make sure to change your username and password in the curl line
:start bash -c "curl -H 'Content-type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded' --data 'username=YOURUSERNAME&password=YOURPASSWORD' https://www.toontownrewritten.com/api/login" TIMEOUT 1 GOTO START
now I'm sure you could probably write a shell script that does this same thing, but waiting time takes more lines so this is how I'm doing it
EDIT: The auth servers are now up but the game doesn't launch yet, so this script won't do you much anymore. also looks like phase files were updated
EDIT 2: LIVE
I know about that leak I can't find it either but I did find an allusion perhaps in a blog post way back when - https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/104/dont-be-wacky-jumping-for-jellybeans
Slappy said he wanted to build a black and white playground so that may mean something. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Just in case /u/purrawful isn't aware, SlateBlueRabbit is part of the TTR development team, she's an artist who has done some of the designs for Toonfest as well as accessories and clothing. She regularly comes here on the subreddit so keep an eye out (you can tell any other staff members by their flair, for all the respective servers).
-Gardening and gifting have been implemented.
-You can now opt out of SC+ (so there are chatless players in the game, though they're rare).
-The ignore button works.
-BBHQ was totally redone, with a whole story line to go alone with it, and a mystery tower that's not opened yet (the Executive Tower).
-Bugs like the TP bug and crashing while going through doors are gone.
If I were you I'd read this blog post, which lists a lot of the other changes. (It says that you get TP access at level 50, but that was later changed to level 12.)
Also, while new updates always bring new bugs, a lot of the issues the game had around last year at this time are long gone.
We did add a canon explanation for the gray a while back, so who knows, maybe we'll see something silly come out of it.
Gardening was introduced. There was all sorts of holiday stuff which is now over, though people made permanent polar bears you see around. The biggest was the Toontown Tweaks update you can read about here.
Also, the servers have been pretty terrible lately. :( Tons of random crashes, disconnects, and district resets.
Hello! All the stories and news updates can be found HEREEEEEEEEE. This will bring you back to the VERY beginning, and there are little small arrows on the bottom of each "page" to bring you back even further. I hope this helps you, man! Enjoy! You won't miss out on anything from not playing beta besides what seems to just be a shirt / accessory, unless you're into tons of rage and server resets.
laugh that turns into a deep long sob
Toontown House hasn't been available for a loooong time. Fortunately Toontown Infinite is own open beta and Toontown Rewritten while in Semi-Open beta (meaning you have to schedule a time to play) it is opening on September 19.

"What will happen to my Toon when Toontown opens?
Whatever you want to happen! We aren't touching a hair on any of your Toons created during Beta. You're certainly free to create a new one, but any Toons created during Beta will be sticking around for the launch. If the Toon was created before September 19th, you'll even get a couple of complimentary Tester Toon items!"

Yes. It most certainly is a bad time. They don't pay me to write blog post past 5:00PM, you know. (Mostly because they don't pay me at all.) Yet here I am at 7:53PM, writing this very post to inform you that the Telemarketers have started a Mega-Invasion.
I don't know if it's some sort of tracking beacon, or if they have a radar in their metal heads, or what -- but ever since those Telemarketers caught wind that we all have phones now, they've always called at the wrong times. First it was during dinner, then while I was in the bathroom, and now they've interrupted Aladdin and my "Goodbye Genie" party with this madness! I am literally bawling my eyes out as I write this post. I should probably see a therapist -- but that's beside the point.
I've hung up on them, pressed "8" to remove us from the mailing list (And then "4", "7", and "13" respectively to confirm that I wanted to do this), and everything else under the moon you could think of, but these Telemarketers just won't stop calling! With this invasion, Toons, it's time for us to do what we do best -- fill up the seltzers, grab some pies, and restock your gags. It's time to take back Toontown once again!
Release Notes: Here
1) https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news or a thread on MMO Central Forums, I think there is one there, but I am not sure. I don't visit there, very much.
2) https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news
3) Probably they will be. If not, in time they will be, of course, man!
4) Probably would be controlled by the players.
5) "Medic". Although, it is totally up to you, man!
Have fun, man! :). <3.
Lol.
Please note im not 100% sure on this BUT they have toontasks 100% done. Cog HQ's are on the way, but im not quite sure about doodles/golfing/estates.
But your question might be perfectly timed. This next week TTR will be releasing their patch/release notes (whole bunch of info on thier progress) and also beta keys!
So I would stay tooned on https://www.toontownrewritten.com/ and then we can say for sure what they have done/ what they are close on finishing :)
They don't accept donations.
From the website FAQ: >Toontown Rewritten is completely free to play. We make absolutely no profits whatsoever and will refuse any donations given. We're not in this for money or fame. We're in this because of kids like Charlie and their parents who genuinely loved this game and want it to continue. Disney was unable to sustain Toontown as a business venture, that's why we want to sustain it as a gift to the Toontown community.
That's because the source is like intermediate to expert level stuff, depending on what exactly you want to change and write or whatever. Nothing easy, and you need to understand what you need to change if you want to change it, hence there being no "easy" level to it no matter how little you want to change in the actual code and not just swapping the logo. I would suggest starting with a Toontown "landwalker" (really terrible single-player walking simulator but keep reading) and tweak it until you learn. One of those was the 300 line code thing I mentioned. Start with adding cog actors, then animations to them. This is the easiest stuff besides setting position (setPos) and setting rotation (setHpr).
https://www.panda3d.org/manual/index.php/Loading_Actors_and_Animations
I cannot change any TTR code to add, change, or remove anything. I understood what you meant but what I'm doing is basically adding a layer between your keyboard and the game without touching the game at all. This means that I can't add anything to the options menu.
If you want to learn more about how I made this program visit: https://autohotkey.com/
The community is actually rather alive.
If you have an android device you can play ODS
Depends how long you've been away we have gotten a few more private servers such as TTOff (offline version of Toontown) mentioned before TTCC and ODS
My pc name is adams109, and my username is craigy109 This has nothing to do with us The kid cant even provide proof when asked to https://gyazo.com/ea5f0a44a659a188cf452979f9552095 https://gyazo.com/9122bacc35f4a8d0ded1cbd27254e254 Link ip addresses proof? Prove get stament from @Jawhnl5 go on
If Stride was such a sketchy server, why would we have famous people like Buster Daschund- Creator of the DIP content pack, a REDDIT MOD /u/Startomas, and 2 former ttr members such as Blurryface and Jorah? And why would /u/TheRandomDog even KNOW Stride is trustworthy?
Alright... time to roll this out sigh The quickscopes TTI videos I used to make but I took down because they were hurting peoples feelings, but in the first place they were meant to be humerous and even TTI staff admitted they were funny and wanted me to make more. The Toontown House post was actually a post to get my reputation and credit down, and there was no evidence that I did anything but I was falsely accused because on the twitter there was "Henry Dotson" mentioned when that isn't even close to my real name. I could've changed my alias yes, but did I lie to the community about who I was? No. I am a different person now and I hope people have seen that I have grown to make a community based server regardless of random drama that spits out like this. If you are going to make this argument though let me post logs between me and Joshsora
Dont know who posted this, and I'm not fighting fire with fire. If Infinite didn't want their source out there in which we based off of, why were they the ones to publically release it? I assure you that Stride has put so much effort into making their own code
FYI: DenialMC's name is Daniel. Not Johnathon.
Lots of experimentation. However, you would probably have a better time using Code Academy. They are a great site that has a plethora of different tutorials for different programming languages. Also, when learning any new language, Google is your best friend.
The Playground Skipper will likely not be added back into the game, however, we are seeing higher and higher population counts as more people start learning of the game (Just last night, I saw the highest at 125 toons, it could've been even higher!).
We have a discord which can be found here and there are plenty of players and staff (including me!) that would more than glad to help you out with those playgrounds. :)
Thanks for your support! While we can't accept donations from players, you can certainly donate to Panda3D, the game engine that powers all Toontown servers. Your donation helps them make the game engine better, which will benefit all Toontown servers!

Currently depends on what level the lure gags are/attack order. If gags are the same level (hypno and nancy gas) the rightmost toons attack is evaluated first. Lower level gags are evaulated first.
So in the case the normal lure is lower or is the same level and comes first in the attack order, the most it can be is 95. The second attack evaluated inherits the result of the previous since it targets the same cogs. if it is an sos, it just inherits it, and that special modifier that makes SOS accuracy 100% is not considered.
The other case is if you use a higher level normal lure and a lower level sos lure (Normal presentation and sos Nancy gas who uses hypno), or same level sos and normal lure and the toon who uses the sos comes earlier in the attack order (rightmost/more early toon to enter the battle). The sos lure would be evaluted first, and be 100%. The second normal lure would inherit the result and be 100%.
But obviously it would be best to just use the SOS lure by itself to guarantee 100% accuracy. This is also contingent on TTR not having changed the way lure works like they did for drop, see this post here from TTR saying they changed SOS drop.

Seems as though the link was sabotaged by those pesky cogs. Luckily, I've found the page that provides solutions to most of the issues experienced Also, here is a screenshot of the particular text pertaining to macs
You know, you probably should make another post about this on the r/toontownrewritten sub-reddit, as they've recently developed the tools to remedy these animation complications.
It's thanks to concerned Toons such as yourself that make it possible for these issues to be acknowledged and remedied!
The reason there's a Head Hunter mega invasion is because of this. I think it was meant to be a one time thing, but they probably forgot to remove the invasion from the code.
Ummmm... Wut.
I'm pretty sure that entire letter (albiet a less butchered version) was already put out on the TTR website in the link from this post. Anything after that is a bunch of guessing. Real big reveal here.
Well, last year on November 26th, this post happened.
I'm not saying anything will happen, and I doubt anything will happen, but today has a high certainty (even though its a small one), of something happening, with the last blog post mentioning Surlee, and the events that happened exactly a year ago.
Or maybe they will pull a TTR on us and not do anything. Who knows. :^)
It was a contest a while back based on whoever destroyed the most cogs and building floors. It will likely come around again sometime but pretty much requires you to play 24 hours in one day to even have a chance at it because there are plenty of people who will and did do that.
Link to blog post: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/233/the-new-years-top-toons-marathon-is-on
And link to winners post: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/235/the-new-years-top-toons-marathon-winners
I'm assuming it has something to do with this quote from the phase 2 blog post: > Those Mover and Shakers are stomping as some would call swiftly, but they've decreased in diversity
Maybe this means the invasion has simmered down enough to initiate phase 2.
The other playgrounds were under attack too - that's how gags were made! Toontown Central discovered throw. The shopkeepers of other playgrounds defended in other ways, which we hinted at here but never got a chance to explore too much.
Donald's Dock used squirt, Minnie's Melodyland dropped the first piano, The Brrrgh lured them into an icy trap, and so forth.
The others weren't nearly as overwhelmed as Toontown Central, of course. They wanted Slappy and Toon Hall.
If you can login to the game, the login API is not down.
You must make a POST request to https://www.toontownrewritten.com/api/login along with the Content-Type header set to "application/x-www-form-urlencoded" with whatever details it wants in order to get a proper response.
If you need some help with submitting data or knowing how the API works, /u/jjkoletar wrote a little guide here.
The launcher news is less impressive than you think, trust me. It's just a WebView of this page: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/launcher
Additionally, the code that we use to generate a news post synopsis is incredibly unimaginative. It literally uses the content of the post up until the first <br/> tag. That's it. :P
Not sure exactly. In rewritten it's somewhere on the outskirts of Toontown, wherever Dr. Surlee's lab is. We hear in these notes that the Cogs turned the lab into their "nation".

A sense of fear and urgency is on the mind of Toons all around Toontown today as the hilariously heroic explorers of Team LHAAFBBHQ have been confirmed missing by the Toon Resistance.
The team was last sighted on their way to retrieve the final piece of the picture from Sellbots, and based off of their last location: They did.
Toon Resistance scouts picked up the final picture from the ground outside of Sellbot Headquarters, however the letter itself and attached memo were completely gone. There were, however, some strange phrases written in Remington on the back of the picture.
We can only wonder where our team has been taken to, and their mysterious fates. Stay strong, everyone, as we await further updates from the Toon Resistance. Now, more than ever, we shout with pride: Toons of the World, UNITE!

They once were, by entering a code for a limited time. I got my gardening kit by this manner, and so far I have had no problems with gardening at all.
No. Third-party programs and/or macros are not allowed as stated in our Terms of Service, and we've been enforcing this rule pretty strictly lately. That being said, we're open to suggestions and even hope to make these tedious tasks less grindy in the future -- but in the meantime, you'll have to do it yourself. After all, we don't want you turning into a robot!

It's been just a few hours since Double Experience Weekend started up, and the Cogs are already getting their cans kicked! Toons everywhere have been piling up on their experience, and it's about to get a whole lot sillier with the Toon Resistance Marathon that starts up at 3:00PM PST (Just an hour away from when this post was made!)
Aside from the great gagwork, you may have noticed something even more exciting coming in to Toontown. As always, us folks over on the team are are not only working on making Toontown better than ever, but also continuing to improve the game's performance and safety. Just today, in addition to Double Experience Weekend, we launched a BIG update to fix plenty of the issues you Toons warned us about!
As you run through the streets to take down those buildings, hopefully you'll notice that you're running smooth as butter with our various tweaks and fixes. We encourage you to check out high-population areas to see just how much it works for you, and what we have left to patch up.
Throughout the week we've also released a bunch of updates to address the Periwinkle issues that you have been emailing us. If you're still having issues -- we haven't forgotten! We're still working on the last batch of muck-ups (A lot of which have been fixed in the last update!), and we'll keep fixing them as you report them to us.
Thanks for keeping up to date on the news of all things Rewritten -- and have fun with Double Experience Weekend!

A wise Toon once said, "Let the wild rumpus start!"
And with that, he was driven insane with a celebration so great and so loud that he ended up leaving it entirely. He did have a celebration, however, and it was a pretty great one!
ToonFest will be closing it's doors in just under 24 hours now, and we're ending it with a BANG -- literally, as usual! Starting right now, a Grand Finale Fireworks show will launch in all playgrounds across Toontown. Unlike Fireworks of the past, this show is a whopping 3 minutes long and takes you through an entire journey of Toontown Through Time!
Don't forget to stop by Alec Tinn in the ToonFest area for a ride to the top of the ToonFest tower, which has the best view of the Fireworks in all of Toontown. (Careful, though -- I hear he has a fear of heights.)
We want to thank everyone for stopping by ToonFest and having fun with it while it lasted. It's been tons of fun, and it's going to be even better next year! We're up for one more day of partying, then it's back to the cream pies and cog fights for us. Besides, rumor has it that Lord Lowden Clear has something big brewing for us. We're going to need all the Laff we can get.
See you at the show!

It's TIME! But really, do we need to tell you that? I'm sure you already know. Grab your gags, your friends, and every Toon in town: Because it's time for ToonFest!
Upon logging in, you'll find yourself with a fancy new button in the top-right to take you straight to ToonFest anytime you want -- even if you're already there! (The new iPhone has absolutely nothing on our button technology.) You can also head over to Acorn Acres and enter the tunnel with the big "TOONFEST" Banner over it.
I could sit here all day and tell you about Picnic Games, ToonFest Tower, Target practice Flippy's new pet, and the Grand Finale Fireworks Show on Sunday -- but why tell you when you can see for yourself?
Us Toon Troopers over at the TTR Team are just as busy and excited as you, so we're going to have to keep this post short while we go to greet you at the doors. Remember, today is ToonFest Test Day, which means there may be a few road bumps here and there that we'll fix up along the way. We'll fill you in on all of the juicy details of the Fireworks and the new outfits soon -- but we think you'll find it pretty easy to find something to occupy yourself with in the meantime!
Toons of the world, it's PARTY time!

Remember that big housing project that us Toon Troopers started a few months ago? Ah, that was fun. The back-breaking manual labor, the countless bottles of glue, the lack of water-proof furniture... Those were good times. We ran into a few problems though, between the Cog Invasions and the fact that there are a lot, lot, lot, LOT more of you than there were in January. That didn't stop us, though!
Let's be frank, here: Our houses are unacceptable! Bland furniture, white walls, tile flooring, it just doesn't work. We needed to clean up our houses, and we needed to do it quick. Luckily, us Toon Troopers snuck into every single one of your houses last night, peeled off the wallpaper, scraped up the floorboards, dismantled the furniture, and completely redesigned it. You can pretty much call us the Santa Claus of interior design! We're kind of a big deal.
Woah, woah! Hang on. Put the private property permits and restraining orders away (Hi Becky!) -- our intentions were strictly good. Look, we even installed some pretty nifty new things for you: A Jellybean Bank, a Wardrobe, and a state-of-the-art Crank-Phone! You know, I could stick around and tell you all about your new house, but I think it's better for you to give Clarabelle a call yourself. Besides, I hear some sirens outside and I'm pretty sure I might have burned the wrong restraining order.
See you soon, everyone! Or in a few years. Depends on if my escape route works.

That person seems to have given you a modified program that contains adware / malware, or your PC is already infected which does not seem to be the case. Up to date downloads for all platforms (if existing) can be found here, officially. (Sign in / register, first). These files shouldn't be downloaded from anywhere else to ensure file integrity / safety. Enjoy, man! :)
You don't "apply" for semi-open beta. There are three ways to play. You can either get in a line, and when your time is up you have 3 hours of playtime, you can schedule a time to play (usually a week in advance), or if someone you know has a beta key, they can give it to you. See here for more information, you will have to create an account if you haven't already.
Personally, I don't have any strong feelings on the matter. I would prefer no reset because I don't want to look for teleport keys from minglers again, but a reset won't make me crestfallen.
I think most of this confusion and disappointment would've been avoided if the Help page mentioned toon stats not being kept. The page still says the game is in a closed beta, too!
> Just in case we do have stability issues again, we went ahead and increased the PlayLine timeout to 15 minutes -- meaning you can leave the page for 15 minutes before it stops holding your place in line
https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/165/a-little-extra-playtime
this was the first and only change made to length allowed out of queue.
For a second I was extremely confused, so I looked it up. The Brrrgh was released on November 13, 2013. At least, that was when they made this daily post about it being officially open.
