I personally just acquired the Yamaha RXV683BL about a week ago along with my Vizio P659-G1. The 683 is on Amazon for $330 and I think it's only a 1 or 2 year old model. It's got all the bells and whistles, including: 7.2 SS, HDR10/Dolby Vision, DTS-X/Dolby Atmos, etc. It supports eARC once you update the firmware on it. If you have Amazon Prime you can actually buy the receiver, as well as other Yamahas (and probably other brands) using their 5-month installment plan. You pay ~$60+total tax = ~$90 for the first month -- receiver is delivered, and then it's ~$60 for the next 4 months. It's quite a deal. You can also get the newer generation models: the 685, 585, and 485 (the 48x series only supports 5.1 or lower and has everything else except for Atmos and DTS-X) the same way on Amazon. I went with the Yamaha brand based on some reviews. I think a couple of sites claimed that its one of the best budget AVRs with the all the 4K goods.
Yeah. I use it more than my remote alot of times since I can get to all the menus faster. But it has all the remote functions/controls built in as well.

Amazon says buy this. I don't think the tuner itself matters much so long as it has a hookup that's capable of delivering the needed resolution. Just make sure to get an antenna if you don't have one.

PS: there's a smaller one that just sits in the HDMI port but it's $20 more.
If it doesn't work you could get this goes between the wall mount and TV and turns a regular wall mount into tv/soundbar wall mount.
Yeah I looked at the manual and weirdly only one size mentioned composite shared a port with component, still worth a shot though (hell I'd try it in each of the 3 non-audio jacks to be 100% sure)

That said a cheap $10 component cable is going to look way better than composite, so if OP wants to use the extensively I'd get one of those or maybe look at the Wii HDMI adapters (I haven't used one so I can't vouch for them I'm sure there are some good ones out there though and maybe some less good models)

To add to this, sometimes manufacturers don’t implement the CEC disable properly (cough Roku Express 4K+ 2021 cough). For those situations, use an inline HDMI “CEC less” or “CEC blocker” adapter that physically cuts the conductor used for CEC, like this one on Amazon.

3 year warranty for 10.99. In which they will give you the amount paid in amazon giftcard if issue occur within 3 years
Thanks for this. Before I saw your reply I tried some tests myself. I use software called VidCoder. It's based on handbrake. I was cool to see the h265 worked at the same resolution. I use the quicksync setting because I have Intel and that speeds things up a ton.
I bought this one (reviews were better from the page I actually bought from :)) as I needed the swivel, and, the base was a little bigger than the other look-a-likes. Works perfect and allowed the TV to both sit high enough for my center speaker and still swivel.
There are many same stands with different names on Amazon
Logitech Harmony Companion All in One Remote Control for Smart Home and Entertainment Devices, Hub & App, Works With Alexa - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N3RFC4G/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_0H6
I bought this same Hub and remote control about 3 years ago, factory refurbished. I love it. Refurb was $20 cheaper than new. Mine came in original box. No scratches.
Yes, the remote changes inputs based on how you program it. You need to set up a Logitech Harmony Hub account online, then you use the Harmony cell phone app to configure the buttons on your remote. You can connect up to 8 components, and you can set up 6 different configurations/routines. I have routines for streaming music, Blu-ray player, Roku puck, cable TV, and smart TV set up. It all just worked once I added my components and set up my routines. Took maybe 2 or 3 hours to read the manual and set everything up the first time.
I also have a smart light bulb linked to the remote.
I also linked my Logitech Harmony Hub account to Amazon Alexa for voice control. I use Alexa to turn on/off my set-up and change routines (which changes inputs).
2 minor rants.
My refurbished hub still had someone else's email address linked to it. I had to do a factory reset. One would have thought this would have been done as part of the refurbish process.
There is 1 button on my TV remote for smart TV back function that I have not been able to program, either automatically or manually. Can't figure it out. Have to occasionally use cell phone app or TV remote when trying to go back with Harmony remote when streaming from built-in smart TV.
The SmartCast remote on Amazon should work. The app may still have access to the more advanced settings. My E series came with a simpler remote and they shipped a remote like the one I linked to me for free. I still need the app for more the more advanced settings though.
Depends on the model of you set but I have several Vizio TV's ranging in age from 2011 to present the remotes from all them work on each other.
This one should do the trick: https://smile.amazon.com/XRT136-Control-D24F-F1-D43F-F1-E55U-D0/dp/B0788PN3VS/ref=sr_1_4?crid=30IBE9VXRUPCR&dchild=1&keywords=vizio+remote&qid=1600222613&sprefix=Vizio%2Caps%2C148&sr=8-4
It’s probably this one, but you can just search Amazon for VESA TV stand, there’s a to. Of different styles. If you have a sound bar you might want to look into one of the Harvey center stack options instead of the two feet like this.

Here's the exact Vizio remote used by many TVs for the past couple of years. It's the XRT136 and it's $6-7 on Amazon.
I bought this one in 2017 for $199 and it's been great. Expensive but great.
Klipsch R-10SWi 10" Wireless Subwoofer - Brushed Black Vinyl https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MQFIP9F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_S7E9CbNQXC6HG
That TV doesn't have a tuner. Also you can't convert coax into HDMI, you need a digital tuner box if and the coax would plug into that. You can get a box like this one to accomplish this.
The converters are for running hdmi over coax. I am not shocked that everything is mad cause it's probably getting weird signals.
Does that all make sense?
There are so many and they all look the same... I think they are probably manufactured by the same factory. Anyway I went with this one, the 65" w/ remote control: HAMLITE. It ends up being a little too long for my 65" but at least I can trim it.
You just need a learning remote. or you could buy a new vizio remote. Hope this helps! Happy holidays!
Edit: dead... yes. So you can’t learn from a dead remote. But you can buy a new one. I was tired. It was late.
I have had static issues with the same tv and the Apple tv4k. The tv will randomly every other day cut to static. The only thing that works is unplugging and plugging back in the hdmi cord or restarting entirely. I am not having any of the other issues though. I purchased a belkin hdmi cord (Belkin UltraHD Premium HDMI Cable (2 Meters / 6.6 Feet) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZ2Z4UF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_A3K7zbS153X8V) but it made no difference from my previous hdmi cord that I purchased from Apple with my Apple TV 4.
Couldn’t find any information either, but since you like to tinker, get one of these:
Eversame USB Digital Power Meter Tester Multimeter Current and Voltage Monitor, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D9Y6ZFW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_k0iVzb205TD52
I have one and it rocks.
