Wait fam, wtf is this?
Ace Stream is a decentralized P2P streaming protocol built on Bitorrent. That makes it perfect streaming stuff that normally gets shut down (like live sports).
How do I use these links?
You need an Ace Stream player. The official one is ghetto af, don't use it. Download Soda Player.
This is cool, what else can it do?
It definitely breaks their Privacy Policy if this is the case. They explicitly mention what data the collect. https://www.sodaplayer.com/privacy
what's happening could be similar to the Transmission hacks.
For those on a Mac, Soda Player is a client that handles these links without a problem. Just paste the "d32697a1eb5cf958fb7451ae46f05edce066611a" part in and let it work.
Just adding to the point said above, Ace Stream isn't available for Mac, soda player is an amazing alternative which can play Ace Stream streams (can also be used on windows).
Also sopcast is a good option but most of the streams I can find are in Russian.
More info (from /r/soccerstreams): https://www.reddit.com/r/soccerstreams/wiki/index#button
Is installed, but none of the links work. and shouldn't they be working now, OP said they will work after it starts? i thought it started 7 mins ago?
Edit: just use the acestream link: acestream://99e4657478e7b768ace5281ece419f9899e663e2
If you're on mac install sodaplayer: https://www.sodaplayer.com/
Otherwise get plexus: https://seo-michael.co.uk/tutorial-how-to-install-plexus-program-add-on-kodi/
Edit 2: above acestream link is down, look for latest here: https://www.reddit.com/r/BoxingStreams/comments/6w8euz/main_thread_mayweather_vs_mcgregor/?sort=new
Acestream source + guide: 1) Go here and download and install: https://ace-stream.en.uptodown.com/windows 2) Once installed open and go to media > open ace stream content id id: 99e4657478e7b768ace5281ece419f9899e663e2
It will install one adware program (Mbam took it off for me)
Working well downloaded and installed quickly but keep the above in mind.
Edit: Sodaplayer was recommended by /u/subarutim as an option with no adware. I have not tested it. https://www.sodaplayer.com/
Hi reddit!
We are releasing the first beta version of our app: Soda Player (for Mac and Windows).
We’re a bunch of internet geeks that were getting tired of how hard (and how many different apps it takes) to do one very simple thing, playing videos in a modern way.
Here is what it can do:
The app can play local, web and Bittorrent video files in all formats instantly.
The app embeds its own custom VPN that is used to protect your privacy when playing non-local files.
The app will automatically find subtitles in many languages for whatever you are playing (we’re very proud of our matching algorithm, from our tests it works better than current subtitles tools out there).
Best part for the end, all of the above works on Chromecast and Airplay, just one-click away!
We’ve worked pretty hard and we would love to hear your feedback and suggestions (and bug reports!).
You can download the app at https://www.sodaplayer.com (it’s in open beta at the moment, but we may temporarily put the beta on hold if we get too many users, so get it fast!).
Cheers (and happy new year to everyone!)
You must be using ATV3 or 2, as PT.sh doesn't work with the ATV4 any more (it shows up, but PT.sh doesn't support its device verification)? And you've lost DLNA as well? I assume your router is seeing both in it's device list?
You've reinstalled ... did you use the latest dev build (https://ci.popcorntime.sh/view/All/job/Popcorn-Time-Desktop/281/): It's got a few improvements. Was it a clean install ... did you delete the Popcorn-Time support folder (from ~/Library/Appliction Support/) and got the T&C's again?
Maybe a local network change ... PT.sh can be a bit tardy to reconnect sometimes after a network glitch. Try <strong>SodaPlayer</strong> (with a magnet link from PT). Does your ATV icon show up as a playback option ... test network connection? Occasionally I just open ATV (manually or using another app) and it appears after rebooting PT, once or twice (a "kick-start").
DNLA is a particularly unstable connection for me (won't bore you with the details). Coincidently, I've been trying to reconnect it today ... eventually got it back (hours later!). Once I get the DLNA Wifi connection back up, it takes a while .... eventually showing back up in PT (https://i.imgur.com/dBaXO08.jpg).
Hey man sorry for the delay. Copying in /u/matt11_25 as well. Here's what you need to do;
That's it! The first time you fire it up it'll take about 5 minutes to actually get going but don't worry that's normal. Goodluck and God Bless the Cleveland Browns!!
You can also use Soda Player to stream the link while you download, but you should also have a VPN for this. But it's a bit neater than using a BitTorrent client if you aren't experienced with torrents.
Only works in the US.
Try finding a Acestream link. Usually they are available for matches of PSG and similar. Acestream is usually very good.
I recommend using sodaplayer for Acestreams as it is much better than the official client: https://www.sodaplayer.com/
Choose your "default subtitles" in Popcorntime "Settings". https://i.imgur.com/AwTNTSb.jpg
When you playback through VLC it should show the subs.
If that's not working and you can't fix it - download <strong>Soda Player</strong> and use the magnet link from the download page (right hand side - by green health dot) ... and edit>paste into soda player. You'll see multiple subs for Español. https://i.imgur.com/Y7BdK7w.jpg
You need some sort of program capable of playing them. My personal favourite is Soda Player, which is a decent video player by itself and has built in, easy-to-use support for AceStreams.
Simply open the player, click the button for AceStream links and paste in the code.
You've used a playable torrent? Options (chromecast and dlna) should have shown up (bottom right) below the movie during playback? I've always had Webtorrent working with CC and DLNA - except when it was a problem with my network.
Google Chrome, Netflix, etc. are browser based (chromecast's "own") - the third party chromecast api's are implemented differently? IF more than one third-party app can't see your device or TV ........ I'd suspect an issue with your network (either router or settings).
Try one more (for luck) https://www.sodaplayer.com: fail and then it must be in your network - not the app?
2 things are needed 1) Indian VPN 2) Sodaplayer v1.2.1
step1: Go to hotstar and get the url
step2: open soda player and paste the link
step3 : press ctrl+i to open the console
step4: There would be a line "[ffprobe] Probing: http://localhost:PORT/web-file?url=AAAAAAAAAAAA". The AAAAAAAA part is the vlc URL.
I have looked everywhere for a good solution to cast from my PC to chromecast. Finally, I came across sodaplayer (https://www.sodaplayer.com/) and bingo! You just have to refer to it as your kodi player in the added playercorefactory.xml file. I'm pretty sure you came across this file when looking for solutions. I didn't even bother renaming the player name... I just changed the player location to the sodaplayer one. Here is a tutorial for launching video to chrome http://kodichromecast.com/stream-kodi-xbmc-from-windows-pc-to-the-chromecast/ Baby woke me up at 5:30 for the 4th day in a row, so this might not be the clearest post ever... I think I had to restart kodi after for the changes to take effect. Good luck!
You can contact them directly & ask them why their proxy isn't working, their contact email is at the bottom of their homepage https://www.sodaplayer.com/
Doubt you'll get much of a response, the devs stopped responding to queries after they were caught accessing personal files & many people stopped using that software
https://www.reddit.com/r/Piracy/comments/8q2pg3/anyone_who_can_explain_why_soda_player_is/
this fixed all my issues on windows; apparently it also comes in Mac flavor.
Unfortunately now that I use linux for my daily driver, I'm back to looking for a solution to this vlc issue.
I’m not sure tbh.
On their site it says this though:
“The smart TV engine will pass-through the video and/or audio tracks without transcoding when the codec is supported by your device.
Hardware encoding on both Windows and Mac (used only when trancoding is absolutely required).”
https://www.sodaplayer.com/ is pretty good for Mac and has Chromecast built in. VLC also has the capability of streaming to Chromecast - https://www.howtogeek.com/269272/how-to-stream-from-vlc-to-your-chromecast/
Samo streaming. Soda player koristim, loadaš torrent file i streama ti ga plus player automatski povuce sve moguće titlove na svim jezicima i samo si izabereš iz menija ako želiš. Sučelje minimalno baš kako mi se sviđa. Možeš i ace stream preko toga gledat.
Naravno ova opcija i nije neka ako imaš net brzinu od 5 mbita.
check out soda player which is a client which lets you paste in a magnet link (like the one above) and stream the video. I use it for these links and it's HD and fast. I'm not paid by soda player.
Try this - just to see if it's unique to PT.sh?
Download a copy of Soda Player: https://www.sodaplayer.com/
Copy/paste a magnet link from a PT movie/show into Soda Player and use its Chromecast playback .... does that work?
Edit: you said "shows" in your original post - I missed that nuance on the first read. Is the issue just with TV shows then .... not movies?
If it was just TVshows give a couple of (freezes) examples.
If you need a workaround because PT won't stream to Apple TV 4th Gen ... https://www.sodaplayer.com/. Just copy/paste the magnet link from PT (Obviously, you could use a magnet from anywhere). Does Chromecast as well.
It'll also look for subtitles.
> Only "local" and "searching...".
If you are using latest VLC, that is strange ... if the Chromecast icon is showing up in PT.sh - it definitely should do in VLC? https://i.imgur.com/5A9xtoM.jpg.
>i have the DLNA option for the sony tv but only works sometimes.
I had no dlna for a while ... it's been ok since doing a firmware update to my LG TV.
>Try the latest dev build ( it has some improvements).https://ci.popcorntime.sh/view/All/job/Popcorn-Time-Desktop/279/ Make sure you delete the old Popcorn-Time support folders from AppData\Local\ ... for a clean install.
Did you try this?
Just to test your CC - try SodaPlayer https://www.sodaplayer.com (it's a torrent client download/player with Chromecast/Apple TV streaming). It's always worked for me .... see if it successfully casts a torrent file from PT? Just copy a magnet link (icon) from the PT download window and paste it into Soda?
> Both on OSX 10.10 and 10.13.2 from a clean installation
Gosh! ... You've been busy.
VLC works (no problem) for me. And as I said: PT works with CC as well - apart from files containing E-AC3 audio. Something must be amiss there somewhere? You're not running any antivirus, third party firewalls or network apps (like little snitch)?
PT torrent playback is ok on your computer .... it's just casting that's inoperable?
Looks like it's a network problem but I wouldn't know how to troubleshoot it! As you've covered most things - did you try resetting your router (factory default)?
>EDIT: it seems a buffering issue.
Looks more like a blocking issue?
Try https://www.sodaplayer.com (use a magnet link from PT) ... does CC work?
>That's why i did say that VLC wasn't really working..
Just to confirm .... VLC can cast normally to CC using a local file on your Mac?
>does not apear an icon which shows i can connect with my tv.
It doesn't appear when you click on the pop-up (playback options) menu - next to the 'Watch Now' button? https://i.imgur.com/VfJaFWM.jpg
If not, it must be a Discovery problem between Wind Vision and your PT apps. It's happened before with certain TV's with built-in Chromecast. PT appears to work best with the OEM Chromecast dongle. I think Android TV devices (like Wind Vision) have a different implementation of Chromecast?
You could try the <strong>VLC Player</strong> (latest versions have a cast option). On my Mac it's: Playback>Renderer>Lounge TV(Chromecast). If that works - you could playback through VLC.
PT.sh will show VLC in the playback option menu (as you can see in my screenshot)? PT looks for supported players in your PC's "default location" for downloaded apps (make sure it's there!).
But this workaround may make your CPU/GPU work a bit harder!
Only other thing - is yours a smart-TV (does it have DLNA)? As you can see in the screenshot - my LG webOS TV shows up as a playback option. Or does Wind Vision have DLNA - many media devices have it these days? My TV's DLNA disappears sometimes, but an LG blu-ray I use has a "solid" DLNA Discovery with PT.
Edit:. Just a thought - some third party Firewall's and occasionally VPN's can interfere with "Discovery"?
Try https://www.sodaplayer.com to test Discovery (it's always worked 100% with CC for me)?
Make sure your Wind Vision (or Google Cast Receiver) is on the latest firmware update?
> The download is a compressed/archive file (osx64.tar.xz).
When I open this file, there is another compressed file named "Popcorn-Time-0.3.10_osx64.tar.xz.cpgz".... Is it secure? Should I unpack that file?
> Can you open the movie web-site: YTS.ag (YTS.am) in your browser? Just want to see if your set-up is blocking all torrenting? Download https://www.sodaplayer.com - it's a torrent client/video player. Pick a movie from YTS and use the magnet link to open it in SodaPlayer ..... Does it work?
Yes, it works perfectly!!
My friend uninstalled Kaspersky, I don't know if he did as you said so! And he tried to help me, and he gave me his .zip PT and nothing... :( Maybe Kaspersky has deleted something from PT , but what I don't understand is why so suddenly, because one day I was watching PT (then I turned off my Mac) and the other day I opened PT and puf!!! :(
That's sad!
Now it gets harder! - it's not your ISP (your friend used the PT app with your internet connection). Any chance he can help you with troubleshooting, seeing as he's a fellow Mac user?
You've finally done a clean install .... you got/accepted the T&C's this time around - so it's not your PT app? Don't think it will change things, but I'll give you a link to the latest Dev build from the sidebar. Has updates and fixes, not yet pushed out to the PT.sh web-site version (It's the one I use): https://ci.popcorntime.sh/view/All/job/Popcorn-Time-Desktop/281/.
The download is a compressed/archive file (osx64.tar.xz). If you do use it - delete the support file again, before opening the app? If you have problems unpacking the file - there are several third party apps that help.
My best guess is Kaspersky is somehow responsible. Did you delete it with their uninstaller, turn it off, or just throw the app away? Are you still using it? As I said before - even after doing a "proper" uninstall, it may have left something behind, or changed something in your MacBook that hasn't been undone?
You won't like the "ultimate solution!" - delete and reinstall your MacOS High Sierra! Not something you'll want to do, as all your "personal stuff" (and passwords) has to be saved somewhere and then put back .... just when you've got everything how you want it! :(
Edit: Can you open the movie web-site: YTS.ag (YTS.am) in your browser? Just want to see if your set-up is blocking all torrenting? Download https://www.sodaplayer.com - it's a torrent client/video player. Pick a movie from YTS and use the magnet link to open it in SodaPlayer ..... Does it work?
You'll get ads popping up clicking in YTS - just close them if you see another tab opening.
Download Sodaplayer and use acestreams which are usually posted in the r/soccerstreams match threads. I used this for a while before I got Optus. I use Optus sport now just for the convenience really.
EDIT: Do not use Sodaplayer as it has been found that it steals personal information. There's a couple threads in r/soccerstreams with info on how to use other streaming clients for acestreams.
If you want a much more dependable stream..
Download this: https://www.sodaplayer.com/
And put this link in when it opens up.

I downlaoded Soda player last night to use with acestream links, works great! - stream didn't stop to buffer once and no obnoxious chat!!
Just go to soccerstreams and get the acestream link, paste it in and boom, your on!
Acestrem player: https://www.sodaplayer.com/
Acestream link:
Sky Sports Football | acestream://9eba690be925a98e8aecfc758070b874e19260c6
Sky Sports Football | acestream://66b5a81430e83fe3d4273e2b7b3dc1e15d4cc6ed
You can also supposedly use Sodaplayer to run it, as Acestream apparently gives you an adware. You just copy the same link you would for Acestream.
EDIT: Thanks so much for the link by the way, its the only one I've managed to get to work.
I think they only have it for Mac and PC if I'm not mistaken. I thought there were a lot of apps to control a Chromecast from an Android phone but I don't use Android so I can't help there.
Its from the parent comment. From the website:
>Watch on your Chromecast and Apple TV
Easiest set up I've ever done. Clicked on the link to play an acestream, downloads an extra extension, and its done.
