The drath thing is actually a giant xianxia reference. Anyone who ever read chinese web novels will understand what Cultivators, Pills, and the 'refining' of body and soul means and why not only it makes sense that the old monks managed to push a god into the abyss , it would be strange if they werent capable of at least this much. I guess Pirate just assumed that most people who are willing to read 9 million words of a webnovel probably read some eastern ones.
I fully trust that pirateaba will eventually explain their take on the xianxia and 'cultivation' genre , but until then i can only tell you that you are missing the context. Pirate is a fan of the xianxia genre , they even congratulated a fellow author , Casualfarmer, on their novel Beware of Chicken (a parody of cultivation novels) reaching 1# place on patreon
This is good, I'd suggest adding a column for release date. Book 7 on Amazon shows 26 July but that might be a placeholder still since the turnaround between recording and publishing seems much quicker with this date.
And if we want to be really thorough, the table of contents leads to the 2.06 April fools day version which is obviously skipped in the audio book so there can be a footnote for that if people want to make sure they've read everything.
>Other than the audible comments section there's no one that has anything to say about the books.
You sure? Because the first review you see when you check the first book on Amazon is this:
>Main character is an Idiot
>
>I loved the writers world, the people are vibrant and interesting, the how and why was a bit vague, but the absolute killer was the main character was possibly one of the worst characters I've ever read. She's saved by miracles no less than 4 times before you're 30% of the way through the novel, she's brought to the brink of death 2 of those 4 times in the EXACT same manner both times created by her actions, the 4th time she gets miracled she ends up getting one of her 3 friends killed (who happens to be the Queen’s champion on a mission to bring his people into an era of social cooperation with other races (quite a noble character but alas he was doomed once he met the Inkeeper), alienates the other one, gets herself banished from town, causes the local militia to stop protecting the country side, and for what reason? She's trying to convince the world that her way (or her complete inability to learn from her mistakes) is the way that will save the world (or at least her inn, which she doesn't stay more than a 1 hour walk from). If someone wants a bleeding heart left-wing woe is me I'm the victim because the world just doesn't understand snowflake as a primary character in a book please by all means pick this one up you'll love it.
1/5 stars. Out of first five reviews three of them are 1/5 stars. That's plenty of negative to me.
I'll always recommend Mother of Learning
It's also available on Royal Road, and it's complete. The link above is for the edited version for publication instead of it being a web serial. There's also an audio book releasing in about 2 weeks for the first book which is around 26 chapters.
Hello everyone!
Sorry for the delay, free time is a resource I cruelly lacked the past month.
In any case, the artist poll for the community artwork A General Does Not Fall is ready!
The 4 artists figuring in the poll are the following:
- LeChatDemon
- Rio Kurnia
- Vagelio
- Stephen Nickel
The sketch you can see here shows ROUGHLY the idea of the artwork composition I have in mind. Thanks to Rio Kurnia for the preview.
The Poll allows you to rank the artists from your most to least favourite, or simply request me to look for other choices. Then it enquires about how much you'd participate for each artist.
With the results, I will check if we can afford to commission the top-ranked artist, and if we can't, I'll just move to the next choice and repeat the process.

Do not hesitate if you have any question
My assumption was Toren was made from the previous inn owner. I mean, Toren is male, which I think can be seen by the bone structure. Based on a cursory googling it looks like the differences are somewhat subtle in skeletal structure (http://www.toptenreviews.com/home/articles/the-difference-between-male-and-female-skeletons/), but it's the kind of thing that you'd think might have been mentioned at some point.
On a chrome I use Read Aloud. I haven't tried Speechify yet.
For Android I use @Voice Aloud Reader It has some nice features. There is a chrome plugin that saves pages to gdrive and then you can have the app pull them automatically.
I use it to queue up books off my hard drive as well. I've made a custom "Send To" option. Now I can right-click on a book in my file explore and send it to my gdrive folder. Then my app can just pull it down. No muss no fuss.

>The Wandering Inn, Volume 3 – Part 1 is now available on Amazon!

> The audiobook will hopefully begin work in January. Check it out, and thanks for reading!
Pack the whole novel as an epub using the WebToEpub extensions. Then use eReader Prestigio to read it. Just like every other reader you can adjust the text size, text color, font style, background color etc.
You can even use the text-to-speech built in the to listen to the epub. That is how I did my catching up. You won't even feel the difference between machine narration and human narration after a chapter.
