I would like to bring to everyone's attention that while this is funny, it is may be misleading to those who are unaware. AOE:DE will be released much sooner than the end of next year.
Here is what the website says about this date: > Please note that the Windows Store page for Age of Empires: Definitive Edition is currently listing the planned release date as 12/31/2018. This is a placeholder, and does not reflect our target release date.
Here is what they say about the actual release date: > We don’t have a final release date to share quite yet, but are targeting early 2018.
Everything from the closed beta is under NDA for now so I can't really comment further. Anyways, it'll be shown in a showmatch vs the Abbasids in October 8.
Rise Of The Abbasids is a fully-voiced 5-scenarios Campaign made by the Age Of Campaigns team.
the (Rise Of The Abbasids) Campaign will take you through an amazing journey to explore the 600 years long Abbasids history, the first 3 scenarios will allow you to play directly with the Abbasids and the last 2 allow you to play with their powerful vassal the, Seljuk empires

The (Rise Of The Abbasids) Campaign has many features including:
1- 5 Scenarios.
2- Fully-voiced Campaign.
3- Slideshows with voiced narration.
4- Everything in the Campaign including the battles, characters, maps, the environment is based on real history.
5- Three difficulties for all player levels.
I think you should be fine. The only thing to say honestly is that a dedicated graphic card is always better, expecially for gaming, but it's hard to find it on laptops.
Anyway, AOE2:DE is kinda heavy when you play team game matches. Expecially if you like to play large 4v4 team games against AI with 500 pop cap, and with max graphics.
Instead, if you prefer to play multiplayer with medium graphics, there shouldn't be too many problems. Maybe only when the game gets long and there are a lot of units on the screen (Arena, Black Forest, etc.).
Consider buying something to improve your laptop cooling, for example this: https://www.amazon.com/HV-F2056-15-6-17-Laptop-Cooler-Cooling/dp/B00NNMB3KS/
I think you may be confusing it with the old one I made

yeh that one was my first map and was getting to know how stuff worked.

I haven't uploaded the new one because I want to add some cool stuff like tribes that work like AOE3 native camps

There was an issue in the last patch but it should have been fixed with the latest hotfix. Do you have the latest update?
It is. >(Update 10/16/2017) Please note that the Windows Store page for Age of Empires: Definitive Edition is currently listing the planned release date as 12/31/2018. This is a placeholder, and does not reflect our target release date. We will update that page once the final release date has been announced. You can follow Age of Empires on Facebook and Twitter for the latest news.
/r/aoe2 is a significantly more active subreddit if seeking more specific information. I can tell you a bit about this version; most of the information below also applies to 1, 3 and Mythology which have Definitive Edition/regular versions on Steam, etc.
The versions of the game available on Steam (HD is older and easier to run with weaker hardware than DE) are the most user-friendly, you can check prices easily (here)[www.isthereanydeal.com]. If you do go this route, you'll need to buy a copy for each player and set up Steam accounts. DE can also be bought on the Microsoft Store through a similar set-up process though I think you can also play with a cheap and Game Pass subscription which you can cancel fairly easily, to my knowledge.
If you can find a copy of the original AoE2 game on Amazon or someplace similar, you ought to be able to install the game on multiple personal devices and either play over LAN or install Voobly, a substitute for the old MSN Online platforms.
I got Age of Empires: Collectors Edition and it works fine, needs a bit of messing around with Age of Empires II in the compatibility settings though. Here if you're in the UK.
