Alcohol can cover up anxiety, which is probably what it's doing to you. There are other treatments for anxiety that do not have the negative health impacts that alcohol does.
I found this book very helpful, and only £1.50 for the kindle edition
You can reduce your anxiety without medication - work on that.
Make a big bucket of Mai Tai. Pretty straight forward:
One bottle (750 mL) of light rum.
One bottle (750 mL) of dark rum.
One bottle (750 mL) of triple sec.
One cup (250 mL) of lime juice
One cup (250 mL) of simple syrup
One cup (250 mL) of Orgeat syrup (order online from Amazon)
Either add lots of ice, or stretch it out with soda water.
If you want to really make an impact, make the punch the night before, and add about 750 mL of water, and then put the bucket in the freezer so that it turns into a slushie overnight. (Throw pre-frozen servings from the bucket into a blender at the party to soften it up and break up the ice crystals.)
Do this instead. Buy the following:
In a pitcher, fill the lower 8th with booze. Fill the rest with juice. Pour into the Zipzicles and freeze in the back of your freezer for 2 days. Serve in a small cooler full of Ice.
Keep in mind: If you make these too strong, they will not freeze. This are fun and oddly strong. You end up with a shot or so per freeze pop. ENJOY!

It was really easy to install. We removed the integrated soap pump in our sink and put this bad boy in. It comes with a water line splitter that just hooks up to either the hot or cold water under your sink. (We used hot.) It's super convenient, especially for getting remnants of powdered drink mixes out of water bottles.
It's technically a liquor that originated from Sweden, but Jeppson's Malort is made in Chicago. The taste is akin to gasoline, grass trimmings, and lava. Its taste is repulsive to the point that it gained fame due to the face people make after they try it for the first time: Malort Face
If you're in the US or Canada and want to help me test the beta:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ScratCap.QuickerLiquor
There is a max of 1000 testers right now.
Sorry. I actually always measure by weight, not volume, but just assumed that OP was in the US and that he/she wouldn't have a nice gram scale handy.
So, op, if you're making your own simple syrup, get a gram scale or - if you want to do it like your great, great, great, great grandfather did it then use a measuring cup and maybe just do 1 & 1/3rd of sugar and 1 of water. Or just get a gram scale off've amazon, they're cheap as hell. Plus you can make sure you're not getting cheated on your weed.
BTW, /u/Shibs33, you got my upvote for being technically correct. Cause that's the best kind of correct.
No need to get those ridiculous (and sometimes expensive) martini shakers. Get a basic mixing set of a large shaker, small shaker, bar spoon, strainer, and jigger (here's a good one from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/2dayShip-Stainless-Professional-Cocktail-Corkscrew/dp/B00VCBL8GQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1457808252&sr=8-3&keywords=bar+mixing+set) and learn to use it. It's basic and inexpensive but it's far better, faster, and easier to clean than fancy crap.
As for bottles, I always make sure I have grenadine, bitters, vermouth, and triple sec. (yup, I would group this in as being equipment, lol). These are extremely common mixers and incredibly inexpensive, so it makes no sense to not have them. If you want, I would even add two more also cheap mixers: amaretto and blackberry brandy.
Try to have fruit (obviously) likes oranges, cherries, and limes, but since one doesn't always have these things fresh at hand, at least keep a small bottle of lime juice and/or lemon juice too.
Base liquors are where I would really spend the money for quality. Always get the cheapest non-brand name mixers, liquors, glasses, and accessories you can. People are impressed by your base liquors.
Check out this article. Grand Marnier is utterly delicious. Hornitos is a great price to quality tequila. Cognac is a good (martel blue). My favorite warm shot is a Quickie: .75oz Disaronno, .75oz Crown Royal neat.
You can open it cleanly using one of these https://www.amazon.com/Decdeal-Two-Prong-Damaged-Corkscrew-Remover/dp/B07FYXQ7WQ or just carefully with a normal cork screw. The stuff itself is probably fine to drink, it just might have some unwanted tastes from exposure. Im not sure if the cork is actually completely rotten, sometimes they break anyway
Order what you like. If you want to flex, learn a little more about the wine regions you like and awe them with your wine knowledge.
I’ve spent like 40 minutes trailing through the internet. Google Translates description from Kirins website
An authentic Kome shochu with a gorgeous aroma and a deep taste, using Koshihikari's original sake from Uonuma.
Product name: Shiramizu Kome Uonuma Koshihikari raw materials: Rice / Jiuqu Alcohol content: twenty five% Internal capacity: 720ml bottle
I tried searching the translated product name, but nothing. So I searched the original Japanese characters, came up with this on Amazon, 2100 JPY so like 18 bucks in Japan. Found on another Japanese site for 1100.
I’ve spent another 20-30 minutes trying to find it on a non Japanese site and I have failed, but hey you might get lucky!
A preview of what I've done already. I like the formatting, I just am not sure about which cocktails i should/n't be listing
While the recipe is officially secret, I found a quote from a former company employee that it included "grain neutral spirit, sugar, and a fruit concentrate in which the dominant fruit is apricot". https://www.huffpost.com/entry/southern-comfort-soco_n_5958814

So, yes it contains sugar.
I'm also based in Europe, so it could be that the colored ones were handed out here. I found an Amazon link for the clear glasses here.
ICE gang haha
There is a plastic cubes for ice. You should pour it and freeze. When you put it in the booze, you will not ruin it with water at all.

It’s just raspberry purée with rocks or frozen mix. You can purchase the same purée on Amazon. Here is the link

Since you like whiskey, gotta have picklebacks. Rather than buying jars of pickles, you can buy mock pickle juice. Van Holten's Pickle Brine
the problem is to attach a spigot you need access to both side of the hole that you'd be drilling into it. You would be able to drill the hole and insert a spigot, but there would be no way for you to attached it to the coupling needed on the inside of the bottle.
You would need to invent or create something that you could squeeze through and expand like an umbrella.
it would be easier to attach a spigot to a modified screw top and create holder to keep the bottle on its side.,
Another option would be to get a pump like this that dispenses 1oz per pump. https://www.amazon.ca/Gallon-Bottle-Dispensing-Pump-Standard/dp/B00E8GGJUM/ref=pd_lpo_86_t_0/136-3134008-1058459?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00E8GGJUM&pd_rd_r=b8f8efe9-72d0-4a65-b1db-32e10f78e505&pd_rd_w=KZkZ9&pd_rd_wg=5C3Xt&pf_rd_...

Also, I don’t want to intrude but you should probably search for rehab treatment or something for your husband if your not gonna leave, that child might have some bad memories of his drunk dad if your not careful
Let me begin by apologizing for the snarky remark.
Nearly anything can be given the flavor, actually the scent, of anything else by using the flavor concentrates used in making hard candies.
If you wanted to make root beer hard candy you would use this stuff. This sort of flavor extract is very strong so a single drop might be way too much in a shot.
Okey-dokey. I also found these 1oz blue bottles on Amazon.
Try one of these:
Nothing will come out when you have it properly in place.
Don't butt chug too much the first time!
What are you chugging? Beer? Wine?
BAC depends on a lot of factors, sex, weight, how many drinks you've had total and what size drinks you've had.
Remember that an average shot is 1.5oz, 1 beer is 12oz and a glass of wine is 5oz. All of these count as "1 drink". Your liver can process 1 drink per hour.
Provided you haven't had anything more to drink in the last 12 hours, what you would need to do is tally how many "drinks" (use provided measurements) you've had in total, and what time you started drinking.
Use this online calculator to get an average and add in all the time from your last drink all the way until you have to blow.
https://www.alcohol.org/bac-calculator/
Also, if you're going to make it a habit of drinking the night before a test, (not shaming you) you might want to invest in a portable breathalyzer, since it'll give you a more accurate reading before you go blow somewhere else. But don't use having a breathalyzer as an excuse for drinking just because you can "test it". https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079XXNBF3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_748ZCbB8N5SN3
Not sure if this is what they're talking about but I found this on amazon by searching plastic hip flask. Though I gotta reccomend you just go with a classic metal flask. Like others have mentioned, keeping alcohol in there keeps it pretty clean, plus you can't beat the durability, especially if you're doing a high intensity sport like skiing.
A Cornelius Keg might work. I’ve used it to carbonate large batches of cocktails. If you pressurized it with nitrogen it won’t carbonate but you should be able to infuse something.
That said, depending on what you’re infusing with, I’d probably just drain it from the main hatch (after bleeding pressure.) I don’t think they’re designed to dispense with any solids inside.
I'll assume you are talking about wine, with an alcohol content of less than 18%. Above that level bacterial oxidation is not much of an issue. Yes it is posssible, and not all that expensive
A few cotton balls or a sponge wet with an ethanol solution tucked inside a chemist's plastic wash bottle ought to do the trick.
Or you could set up glassware to operate like a bong or hookah (pardon me assuming you know about such things) in reverse. You blow your breath into one end and it bubbles up through an ethanol solution via an aquarium airstone to deliver your now ethanol enriched breath to your machine. You might even take this rig to the local police to test your results against their calibrated breathalyzer.
No problem at all. Get him some Glencairn glasses, IMHO totally the best glass to drink/taste whisky (or indeed, pretty much any spirit) from. If you really want to splurge, they are available in cut crystal as well, but the regular ones are more than fine - I actually prefer them, the lip is thinner. You can also get them custom engraved from numerous sources online.
Just make sure to get the official/real ones - lots of copies out there, most of which aren't as nice. There is also a larger "Canadian glencairn," which is appropriate if he prefers to use any ice.
Those are a very good price, and they look pretty good...my only concern is that the base seems both a little lighter and a little narrower than the pricier Glencairns. But they have great reviews, so I'd probably go for it if I needed any!
I also like whisky tots (sometimes called whisky bowl glasses or Canadian whisky glasses), like these, but it's harder to find bargains on these (which is why I didn't even mention them at first): http://www.amazon.com/Glencairn-Crystal-Canadian-Whisky-Glass/dp/B005LSA4GQ
I disagree.
The juicer in the kit (I have it) is all but useless. It can't handle anything other than a lime, or a small lemon (seriously, large lemons don't work in it). Additionally, the lack of a hinge makes it quite a poor juicer. You are better off dispensing with the juicer entirely, muddling in the glass, then straining.
In re: bottles, I disagree. You will use these tools many times over, and most of those in the kit will break with even moderate home use. It's more frugal to buy the right thing once, than the wrong thing twice.
Upgrading bottles - most bottle upgrades are worthless. Get Castillo rum, get Luksusowa vodka, get Maker's Mark, get Old Overholt Rye, get a bitters sampler to start, then upgrade bottles, and try different things to see if it's worth it. There's no worse feeling than buying a $100 bottle of spirits and going "meh."
There are very few bottles that should actually be pricey for your home bar. Especially as a beginner, further, when learning mixology. I think good tequila is worth it. Other than that, among all the big liquors, there's so much variety (and quality for the price) that you can save your money there. Having shitty tools never made anyone happy.
Also: if you're making a big buy at a liquor store for this stuff, ask if they have any promo bartending supplies. Sometimes they'll just give you the cheap stuff for free.
My Cocktail Bar will do that. You also need to enter other ingredients too. What I like is that it'll show you drinks you are one or two ingredients off from being able to make. The list of recipes isn't very long though.
