Hang all the pictures you want. If you use command hooks, follow directions of prep and taking them off. I have seen to often command hooks ripping off paint. You can avoid this by doing all the stretching then pulling. I prefer these types of picture hooks (found at any hw store) https://www.amazon.com/Pickily-Assorted-Sawtooth-Mounting-Mini-Gradient/dp/B08CSD1RH2/ref=sr\_1\_1\_sspa?crid=33RMH4ZKCRGZY&keywords=picture+hooks&qid=1667936570&sprefix=picture+hooks%2Caps%2C111&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1
I would not hang a tv on a rental wall. This is me but if u fail to put them up right they will tear big holes in the wall and even if u use all anchors property, they require a 1/4 inch hole each one and many landlords will want to charge u to repaint them entire room.
I am all together very distrustful of landlords, in champaign, IL ....(I AM STUCK IN ITALICS LOL) I am pretty sure more landlords look at that deposit as income already earned. I sued mty landlords 4 times for deposits and won each. If you notice any preexisting damages when you move in, take picture of it and mail it to the managers. Good luck
If none of that works, some privacy cling film.
Just go put some adhesive backed foam weatherstrpping around the inside of the door. Can make this quiet yourself with $10 and 5 minutes of your time!

This stuff is amazing for blocking heat through windows. It’s reflective to heat, and very insulative. You just have to understand, it will also block heat leaving through the window at night. This listing is expensive, because it’s such a big roll, but I’m sure that you can find smaller ones
What comes to mind for me is:
-Seal off the cooking area. If you can, put up curtains to seal off the kitchen from the living area. It doesn't have to be floor to ceiling, but the more coverage the better. Hanging up higher is better because smoke rises.
-An air filter/purifier. An effective one costs $100-$150, and filters cost $30-$60 a year (which you can stretch if you only use it during cooking). A frugal way to obtain one is through Craigslist/Facebook/Offerup. This one from Amazon is $141, and you can find it cheaper used.
If you have a window in the kitchen:
-Window fan blowing air out of the kitchen (if you have a window in the kitchen) and a fan blow air into the kitchen, so there is a flow keeping air out of the living areas.
I have ZERO experience with this product but I have been searching for ways to minimize the drying rack space and this came up: tension rod that stands up vertically with hooks? for hangers
Right now I use a very wide clothes rack and I have an oil filled radiator right underneath.
This is how apt managers scam you. Also there is the fact that there are many renters who do DIY and ruin things.
This would be helpful.

Also dont worry about deadbolt. The real issue is the door frame. No matter how strong is your dead bolt, if the door frame gives up, you are soup.
