There are a few regiments in the imperial armour siege of Vraks book, I’m currently painting the 5th Keith regiment (black) but there grey brown green etc schemes. Try this link https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=748691
I still don't get why people just don't pick up a few of these:
My fellow commander, the tank is easier to paint then the troops let me tell you =)
Guardsman are small and without some of those $20 magnifying glasses from eBay, Its not easy to paint them cleanly
Like these, HIGHLY recommend:
The tank is easier because its straight large panels you slap paint all over it, use a shade everywhere that isn't a flat panel and then easy highlighting on the edges and a little dry brush to bring out the rivets.
Although I would have left the tank in a few more pieces to paint it before putting it together to make it easier to paint into corners. I usually leave the treads on the sprue and paint them on the sprue because its so much easy slapping lead belcher then nuln oil and then maybe agrax earthshade then a drybrush of runefang steel when they are flat and arranged onthe sprue , THEN you snip them off and glue them onto the tank sides after the tank is already painted. Treads come out perfect. When they are already attached its difficult not to hit them with the tank color while painting but since they are attached I would paint the tank, ignore the trends at first, as in let them get hit with tank color, then when the tank paint is finished you can carefully paint the treads which is really just one good coat of leadbelcher.
Used to play Tallarn and what I did was I would use the Cadian chest and arms then use mad robot desert raider heads and wood elf archer legs, they're pretty much just rags and the end result is fantastic
I may have some heads and legs left over from my Tallarn days I no longer need, since wood elf archers are hard to find and Mad Robot production has slowed down significantly. If you're interested PM me.
I would check if it is an 8th edition codex. My suspicion is it may be older especially if stuff is "missing". The front of it should have a large image of a commisar with a sword, with a boarder around the entire image.
If the ISBN-13 number is 978-1782532590 then you have a 7th edition codex. It should look like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Games-Workshop-Codex-Militarum-French/dp/B076CN4BYX/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=codex+astra+militarum&qid=1629365348&sprefix=codex+astra+mi&sr=8-3
Fliers are good fun, but really only work in larger armies.
