8 cups is 1.9 litres -- unless the water coming out of your tap is already 60C, there's no way it's heating it up to 100C in 2-3 minutes. Normal cold tap water is about 7 degrees. You could also use the preheated water first from your hot water system, but that generally tastes foul.
Assuming a 100% efficient kettle, 3 minutes at 1500W is going to heat water by 32C. 3 minutes at 3000W would heat water by 65C. See https://www.omnicalculator.com/physics/specific-heat for details.
My apologies if you don't like the term decent. In Europe, a 1.5kW kettle would be thought of as a travel kettle, not one that would be used for everyday use, as they simply take too long, or have insufficient capacity. Kettles in the US take twice as long to boil water as kettles in Europe - because they don't have enough power to boil things quickly. It isn't intended to offend, it's just different priorities cause different approaches.
>now it seems to be a show where you laugh AT the nerds.
Absolutely. And that whole premise could have been much funnier if the research team had realized there's a smaller gauge. Sheldon should have shown up carrying a briefcase in addition to his messenger bag. When asked, he could open it up and display a fully decorated Z-Scale train he could carry around.
I found this notebook on Amazon for £39.19; however, I do not have any access to the real thing. If it helps, you could write your own personal relationship agreement by visiting contract writing websites and using their contracts as a template. If you were to do the latter, it would be wise to remember that the original Relationship Agreement is 31 pages long.
All the best.
There is a lot of information on this in the Bing Bang Theory Definitive Inside Story coming out next month. When I went to pre-order the book on Amazon, you can actually read the first 4 chapters and the decision to go with Kaley over Amanda was discussed in detail:
To make a long story, Kaley read for the role of Kate but went to Amanda because she was older. Well it didn't test well and they reworked the female character and Kaley was called in to because she was younger and perky.
They made the right call
Wouldn't it be a counter trajectory? Since it's moving in the polar opposite direction instead of continuing on the exact same path? http://www.thefreedictionary.com/trajectory I don't know the exact word for it, but your nomenclature seem off.
This website helps me a lot: https://www.justwatch.com, it shows where can you find a series or movie, and it let's you choose by SD/HD/4K quality or Best Price.
I watch them all on my phone, so it doesn't matter what they show.
Do you know how to torrent? Then you can watch on your pc and/or phone anytime anywhere, haha.
Season 1 safe (won't get dmca notice): https://thepiratebay.org/torrent/16705283/The.Big.Bang.Theory.Season.1.S01.Complete.BRRip.720p.x265.2Ch.HA
Actually, I've never got a dmca notice from any big bang episode, I'm thinking they know its for techie people, and they don't care if you torrent the episodes. (I've torrent bob's burgers without VPN and got 3 dmca notices, so I know bobs burgers you can't but BBT without VPN i've had no issues.

Here's another Penny on Amazon. Expensive!
Get a VPN. I have NordVPN and I think it’s $11/month. If you connect to the United Kingdom server or Australia (probably more countries too) they have Big Bang Theory on their Netflix if you have that. Every season!
I move around the world frequently so I use a VPN. I have an account with NordVPN for $11/month (which I renew every month, it’s not a recurring automatic charge which is nice for me) and then I have a Netflix account. I have access to every Netflix in most countries. I am in Australia at the moment and they have Big Bang Theory on their Netflix. When I want to watch How I met your mother, I connect to USA VPN and I can watch it there. Highly recommend.
It wasn't beer, it was "Henry Weinhards Orange Cream" soda. You can find it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Henry-Weinhards-Orange-Cream-Bottles/dp/B00K0Q6LTI?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_2
Please see /u/AgentElman's original post to which you replied originally.
> Right, so you can either define quality as something that a self appointed group of people get to determine inspite of the opinions of everyone else, or you can view quality as how the people at large view the thing.
"Quality" can mean many things (ever read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance? In that book, the main character, in a way, goes crazy thinking about what "quality" truly is. Read this Wiki article if you're interested: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirsig%27s_metaphysics_of_Quality ) In order to have a discussion, we must define what it means. Because we are talking about something that can be objectively measured and something for which that measurement can define the future prospects of said "thing", it makes sense to use "Ratings = Quality" rather than some subjective, based-in-opinion, anecdotal analysis of your friends, idea as equal to Quality. If you subscribe to the latter definition for this thread's discussion (i.e. in the style of how Time chose The Wire as the "Best TV Show"), there is no point in talking about it (except for a philosophical discussion on esthetics) because it then, truly, is 100% subjective and cannot be measured -- IMHO, at least ( which doesn't mean much in this regard, mind you.)
May I ask how old you are?
