I think you're using the deprecated version of Brave (termed Muon), you can download the latest version here: https://brave.com/brave/download

Feel free to reach out to the official support here: /r/brave_browser
I got a reply from Brave a while ago. They say: "Brave Ads is not implemented yet, we will do pilot programs first." So, that's it.
And this article may be helpful.
Could you (or someone else) please check his/her extension list?
I just did "Reset my pc" (i.e., deleting all files from my pc) and installed brave again from brave.com/download.
Try this:
Official support reddit is r/brave_browser
Just doing this works:

Download Let'sEncrypt ISRGRootX1 certificate:
https://letsencrypt.org/certs/isrgrootx1.der
Install the certificate by running the file, the KeychainApp opens it by default. Pick "login" for the one user or "system" for all the users on the machine to be affected by solution.
A window with a list of certificate opens, find "ISRG Root X1" and double click on it. Click on TRUST and change to ALWAYS TRUST.
Quit everything. Restarted the Mac and Chrome is now working for me like nothing happen.
When you look under rewards history do you see something like:
You’ve designated 18.6 BAT for creators who haven’t yet signed up to receive contributions. Your browser will keep trying to contribute until they verify, or until 90 days have passed.

Mine overlapped with my auto-donate day and so it seemingly skipped my wallet, when in reality it was going to creators.
I know it's not a lot of money... but, when it is... if ever.
This will be a problem. Had roughly $5 in there, transferred out like 2.20 to coinbase account.
I'm really really poor... and it'd be nice to have lil bits of money to cover small coinbase > paypal transfer fee's and... listen everyone needs money... do i need to explain?
maybe i dont understand the purple wallets relation to the orange wallet... are they not the same?
Didn't anyone think this convoluted system would discourage adoption of their already hard-sell of a product? Or is hold-up just there to uphold.com us? so everyone doesn't pull out?
Uphold is the worst thing. It's discouraging me from recommending this to people.
Brave won't win this fight to replace the ad model but, they're providing a good example of what not to do... just seems so GREASY.
sent ID front and back 4 times, 2 selfies, one with ID & one without.
Their help team is helpful if you can ignore the "PLEASE RESPOND UNDER THIS LINE." nonsense in their emails...
YEEEEESH!
I think Brave is the best. you can earn rewards from the brave browser. if you need more details here is the link
> Disable non-proxied UDP
This one. Then be sure to do a WebRTC leak test HERE. If all the results under "WebRTC IP Address Detection" are "n/a", that means you're not leaking any IP addresses via WebRTC.
I use https://adnauseam.io/ and the below filters for YouTube. Adnauseam can block ads, but still clicks the ads in the background. The custom filters below are just to make YouTube look nicer for me.

Probably not the response you want but... raindrop.io bookmark manager extension (the premium version) allows icons to be associated with bookmark folders (along with many more nifty features for bookmark aficionados). Not for those on a tight budget though.
Go into Settings, and enter 'torrent' into the search field. You should be able to then turn off WebTorrent.
(This works in Brave beta based on Chromium - https://brave.com/download-beta )
Brave was originally built in a fork of Electron called "Muon". New versions of Brave (you can currently try it out in Dev builds) are not built in this anymore, and are much better off for it. Brave is now built on top of Chromium. It has a nice new (dark themed!) UI, and is just so much better in general. Frankly, I thought the old UI was hideous, and I never considered it a major competitor on Windows. I'm now considering switching to it full time.
Chromium - the open-source project that Google Chrome is built on top of - generally speaking does not have the privacy problems that Google Chrome does to begin with.
In the future, Brave user will get ad-revenue. It will start working if Brave Ads already implement. Brave will blocks all bad ads and unwanted tracking and replace it with Brave Ads. See this article.
This isn’t a problem. The transaction will go through if your account has at least 90 % of the required funds. I think Brave’s dependency on BitCoin creates a bad user experience. It’s just too much work and confusion.
For what it's worth, I'm able to watch videos on the mobile YouTube site via Brave on iOS. No issues.
Do you use a VPN by chance? I use ProtonVPN on my mobile and occasionally run into sites that block it. At which point I just choose another Proton VPN server and everything works eh-ok.
>VPNs as extensions are a bad idea, run a VPN directly off your router with something like OpenWRT or DD-WRT or just run a VPN client on your machine, preferably OpenVPN
I was previously using OpenVPN but I run a Monero full node that way mobile (and desktop) users can transact with Monero without having to download the full Blockchain themselves.
Unfortunately my VPN provider, NordVPN, doesnt support port forwarding or split tunnling, so I have to run my Monero node in the clear, meaning I can't have my VPN running system wide (on the router, or the machine).
If I run my Monero node through the VPN, incoming connections are blocked and nobody can find my node on the network.
Broswer Extention VPN is a bandaid fix until I find a more flexable VPN provider I suppose.
I guess you would have to read the permissions of each each extension that you want to install. Some of them ask for basically full access to everything, which isn't safe for privacy.

But as you say, it would be nice to have a list of safe extensions.

Somewhat off topic, here is a list of privacy enhancing extensions that I use.
Here is the error: For your safety, Brave has blocked this site because it is distributing malware or stealing login credentials. Brave uses crowdsourced blacklists from Spam404 and to block dangerous domains. If you believe this domain should not be blocked, Please report the site at
You can access this site by clicking the Brave icon in the top right corner and temporarily disabling 'Block Phishing / Malware'. This is not recommended!
