Just a couple suggestions for you. Lay the brush on the floor and let her smell it and investigate it first. After she's comfortable with that... then move it around a bit. I'm sure you're aware that cats can be skittish and nervous about new things. Also maybe involve a couple treats. Put some treats next to the brush and on it and let her smell it and get used to it.
My fave brush has been a Kong Zoom Groom. It really gets loose hair out... I think in 3 years we've only had like 3-4 hairballs total out of 2 cats. The other brush I've gotten a lot of mileage out is an old boar bristle hair brush. I don't like most of the metal toothed "slicker" brushes. My cats come running when I get the brushes out and I brush them almost daily.
Good luck with your sweet girl!
Would recommend this: https://www.amazon.com/AikoPets-Massager-Scratcher-Grooming-Interactive/dp/B07BBLGMHR/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=cat+brush+stand&qid=1555118971&s=gateway&sr=8-3. My cat would do the same thing and this created a self service brush station.
This one! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L3K8GRM
She is modeling the Medium size in this video, she would probably fit just fine in a small though. She didn't love it at first of course, but she acclimated pretty quickly and is doing great with leash training. We are already working on shoulder training :o :o :o
P.S. Scorpio definitely chills out when she wears her harness, it works really well as a thundershirt type calming device
Hm. This looks like it.

Get your cat some of these corner brushes, then thank me later. Our cats love them. There's even a tiny built-in catnip holder to reallllly get them into it lmao.

It’s a rubber curry comb (idk if that’s how it’s spelt ) and toy should get them in most tack shops, or if not, online equestrian shops. Amazon have a selection too; here is one example: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Shires-Equestrian-Rubber-Curry-Royal/dp/B007WMB1FC/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=NN2TZTOV5RO0&keywords=rubber+curry+comb&qid=1557138103&s=gateway&sprefix=rubber+curry+c&sr=8-5
I get pretty much everything from Amazon.
He doesn't like it quite as much when it's on the wall, but he does still seem to like it somewhat! That's really all you can ask when you buy a cat something! :)
I got one of these from PetSmart and my cat uses is almost daily for her face brushies.
It’s called a “self groomer” and made by a company called CatIt. I couldn’t find a specific listing on the PetSmart site, but here’s a listing on Amazon for the one we have.
Update: I found the exact one from the video on Amazon, dubbed “2.0”. It seems really the only difference is the colour (grey instead of blue).
They have these things on Amazon you can attach to the corners of your walls. Basically the same thing, only they can do it standing up and the hoomins won't take the brush away. My parents swear by them for their cats.
They're face rollers made for skin care, popular in some Asian skin care. You can get them off Amazon or whatever.
I have the cat version of this. My cat loves to give himself cheek scritches.
The one I bought was marketed as a cat brush, but there are very similar models sold as scalp massagers for people. I'm afraid I haven't tried it on myself, lol.

Fluff kinda goes everywhere in my experience, so it's not the best for cat-grooming if you have allergies, but it does a good job of getting loose fur off the cat. And, importantly, the soft bristles mean she can press as hard as she wants without any danger of her skin getting scratched.
haha no thats not what i ment, the "milka kuh" is a cow on the branding of milka chocolate .
while on the package its purple in some tv ads the cow is brown and white, which looks somewhat like Maverick!
Okay... You need to say down beside her when she's laying down. Talk sweet to her in a very calming voice, get her purring and whenever she's looking at you, make sure you smile and slowly close and open your eyes. That will tell her that you intend to be gentle with her and she can let her guard down.
Gently and slowly run your fingertips down her back until she gets almost sleepy. Then ever so slightly, work them in closer to her tummy but remember; very lightly and slowly!
After a few episodes of doing that, you can introduce a small brush with very soft bristles with round plastic tips on each bristle, to take the place of your fingertips. Here's an example: https://www.chewy.com/conairpro-soft-slicker-cat-brush/dp/137037
She may be just one of these cats that doesn't like her tummy rubbed/touched. Regardless, you need to be careful with her. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

They have brush like things that you attach to a corner, down at their level, and they can do that for themselves when their alone. I got it on Amazon amazon
You can get back scratchers that might be a better option, depending on whether you're more concerned about scaring off dates or having enough conversation starters :-P
My senior cat always resisted brushing until I started using this brush. It was recommended on the All About Cats YouTube video about the best cat brushes. He loves it and lets me groom him for a while now!
It's like this Glove Love
Allow me to introduce you to this.
Both of my cats like them, one of them loves them much more than I ever dreamed. :) So worth it. I'm going to have to get more soon, one of them is starting to fall apart it's been used and abused so much. XD
Your cat would love the brush we have for our ginger. It’s mounted on the wall where he can rub his face on it. You have a beautiful kitty!

We got this de-shedding tool called the furminator on Amazon and it keeps my cat from shedding for weeks, but I really wish he'd let me get his belly like this. If anyone is interested, its phenomenal.

I looked around on amazon and this brush seems similar to the brush he likes. Alternatively, we have a pair of “hands on” brush gloves that he loves as well. I’m pretty sure we got them from amazon too
So I don't wanna sound like some god damn genius over here, but I typed "cat grooming brush" into Amazon and found it. Crazy.

Hi! Unfortunately, it’s off-brand from a German pet store, so I can’t find any link. But a search on amazon resulted in this similar one, would that be along the lines of what you’re looking for?

Thanks for the love y'all!
He loved rubbing against my beard so I picked this up on Amazon, if any one is interested:

Of course, he still goes for the beard :)
They are actually really soft af makeup brushes. Often called oval or paddle brushes. Here’s a set on amazon just so you know what the full brush looks like. They come much bigger than the one in the picture. :) They’re usually incredibly soft, I love them lol.
Thank you so much! We actually only adopted her alongside her brother last year but have always wanted to give an older cat a loving home ☺️
This is the comb in the video although I know the struggle, we have tried so many to find a fit for both her and her Persian brother. Hope this helps!

The FURminator it's around 25$.
I have one and seriously this is the best. If you have pets and still "try" to not having fur on you all the time this is the Shedding Tool you need.
That's a ferminator I think. Really good a defloofing fuzzy cats.
