Not only are these not something you invented, but they’re grossly over priced since, according to your pictures, they are just Icy Docks with hard drives in them that you’ve set up.
You charge $2810 USD for a 4 hdd set up that would cost $660 to set up yourself. Thats absolutely absurd.
Anyone in this comment section giving you praise is either totally naive or stupid. Shitty products that are total ripoffs like this hurt the Burst community. No one should be encouraging this.
burst is listed on (in order of volume) poloniex, bittrex, c-cex (source https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/burst/#markets)
poloniex and bittrex are crypto currency only. c-cex (which i haven't used) seems to deal with fiat, see https://c-cex.com/?id=usdworks
to store burst, it is ill advised to use an exchange. so look into creating a wallet (there is local and web options) in order to send to from the exchange.
Sure, you could compile a miner and a plotter (or plot an SD card on a computer) for your phone if you wanted to.
It would be a bit pointless though, nothing more than a gimmick really (no reason not to try it if you want to though). Phones don't have much storage (and SD cards are more expensive than HDDs per GB), and you'll constantly run the battery down. Hence why probably nobody's done it.
A mobile Burst wallet on the other hand ~~would be useful.~~ already exists.
If you have an android mobile... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.icewave.burstcoinwallet&hl=en
MacOS installation - https://medium.com/@aclaytonscott/burst-part-2-macos-wallet-setup-tutorial-2822bb029f54
There is a monitor-only functionality in the mobile wallet: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.icewave.burstcoinwallet
so you can have your multi-billion BURST account mobile with you and need not fear loss of phone. ;-)

Yes, PoC is vulnerable to 51% attacks. Because - however - the mining equipment is commodity hardware, it's much harder to concentrate capacity as is possible with dedicated special PoW hardware (a.k.a warehouse full of ASICs). If we look at the capacities (and access possibilities) Amazon is able to provide and at what cost: https://aws.amazon.com/de/govcloud-us/pricing/s3/
It's already of little relevance today.
I would like to use ledger wallet as well. This would be nice and also good news for burst.
Some people places thier coin wishes on thier official trello board. Maybe we can achive something here in parallel? But i guess the integration wont be for free.
I followed this but some reason their online wallet address is messed up and it takes forever to get the local wallet synced. Probably more capable persons than myself can elaborate but that link is what got me going
It took me over 2 mins to try and get the .css which is above the fold, finally Chrome gave up and showed me the unstyled page.
So this is what happens to anyone that tries to access it:
The page stays on loading for 2 min and then the end result is a visually broken page.
here's how it looks like for someone without their CSS cached:
https://pasteboard.co/GNS1A5I.png
here's Google telling you the same thing and showing you on the right how the page looks without CSS
I think it requires both efforts of the devs and the company itself. However this link makes it clear that we still need some community building before we can go down that road. As the support fee needs to be payed entirely by a coin’s community.
https://trello.com/c/4Aa7Ug5a/20-altcoin-support-information
Yeah - right :-) And that is because? https://poloniex.com/press-releases/2017.08.17-Token-Listing-Policy-Reminder/ I cannot see there anything that would endanger Burst as of this moment.
Market volume? There are almost 30 other currencies on Polo below its volume!
MktCap? Same!
Security issues? Which security issues?
No community involvement? You're kidding - right?
BitTrex exchange Burstcoin but not BitSTAMP according to this list https://www.burst-team.us/index.php/exchanges/
Looks like BitTrex is doing a lot more trandactions than they did historically https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/burst/markets/BTC
Pretty sure you can pre-download the blockchain, and put those files in the designated folder to speed up the process. I am not sure which folder and these downloads are not particularly up to date, but 3 years of blockchain sure beats starting from scratch.
Since its Windows 7... do you have the latest .Net framework installed? https://www.microsoft.com/net/download/dotnet-framework-runtime

I've also read instances where using the portable java option resolved qbundle issues.
1- language - e.g.
"This article will focus on the current paths that could possibly be created. All of which are just my personal thoughts and should not be seen as financial advice. " - this should be one sentence, as the second sentence refers to the first - a comma instead of the full-stop.
" The purpose is to help create a debate from multiple view points. While trying to remain unbiased. " - this should also be one sentence.
...
2 - content: write about the things you know. clearly, nobody except the PoCC knows what path they will take, and you keep massaging the topic of the PoCC like there's no tomorrow.

3 - have an idea before you write it. make an introduction to the idea, present a problem you wish to analyze and propose solutions for, move to the analysis - present pros and cons, different points of view, different existing solutions, introduce your point of view/solution and draw conclusions. make sure you're providing information for the reader to be able to understand how you've reached your conclusions and offer them the option to draw their own conclusions. be the devil's advocate in the process - make sure your argumentation has no (obvious) contradictions or holes that make the entire piece worthless.

i can recommend this app for style exercises: http://www.hemingwayapp.com/

re. the article in question, i see no reason for writing in the first place.
Rico does, and for those who don't know who he is, it is public info. His name is Richard Jelinek and this is him: https://www.xing.com/image/f_2_9_6cd8f273e_3216167_2/richard-jelinek-foto.1024x1024.jpg
Please make sure you are using the correct wallet.

I would think this is a much better choice:

Ah ok. For some reason I was thinking you had a modular psu but forgot a store bought pc prob wouldn’t. You can always get more sata power splitter. My psu is modular but I’ve already run out of power options and need to get a splitter like this StarTech.com 4x SATA Power Splitter Adapter Cable (PYO4SATA) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0086OGN9E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_MmJLAbVG5R700.
You could buy an 8TB for $150 and make $9.61 a month with an ROI of 150/9.61 = 15.6 months.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HAPGEIE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Also, 10TB Seagate Ironwolfs are $320, not $410
Why not skip the raid enclosure. Seems like a waste of $70 to hold two drives. I got an LSI SAS/RAID controller for $80 which will handle the 8 8tb drives I plan to hook up to it. Does your tower not have space for the drives?
I only have a mid tower that can squeeze about 8 3.5” drives so I plan on using this server cage to hold more drives. At $15 it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than the enclosure you mention. Rosewill RSV 4 x 3.5-Inch HDD Cage RASA-11001 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005FHHOXE/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_BA8GAbMR9B9JJ
WD 6TB Elements only has a 1 Year warranty. WD 6TB MyBook (for $7 more) has a 3 Year warranty.
They both have a "blue drive".
Yes it would work to make plotting faster on SMR type drives that are normally painfully slow like seagates. Keep in mind copying over the plot still takes considerable time, its not going to be a quick copy and paste job like everything else.
I use this to stage the plot https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JKMZ6L6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
it writes incredibly fast with an SSD but a normal WD hdd will still be considerably quicker.
Thanks for the info! I’ll start that setup right when I get out of work later today. I do only have 1 plot per drive. Those other plots were from computer space. Would you recommend me upgrading my processor?
PCI-E card: Mailiya PCI-E to USB 3.0 5-Port PCI Express Expansion Card and 15-Pin Power Connector, Mini PCI-E USB 3.0 Hub Controller Adapter with Internal 20-Pin Connector - Expand Another Two USB 3.0 Ports https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LZWC7TL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_gmzHAbRE5VHQ2
Here is an example of what Amelnor is talking about: https://www.amazon.com/Express-SuperSpeed-Adapter-Dedicated-Channels/dp/B00HJZEA2S?th=1
While it is "only" PCIe 2.0 compliant, it is a 4 USB channel PCIe x4 card.
So something like this? https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-USB-PCI-Card-USB/dp/B071DFQ6TW/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1515649966&sr=8-7&keywords=pci+expansion+usb+card+3.1
The question i guess is does it make a noticable difference to justify the cost.
I’ll go for this drive. Seagate Backup Plus 8TB. What kind of usb3 hub you use? I saw this:
Orico® H10C1-U3 USB 3.0 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HSHN82K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Cr8wAbAVHKQBW
Do you have suggestion?
