Console organizer. It's $9 and should've come with the truck. Don't know why they don't.
As far as the lift goes, I've got the Peak Summit 3" lift on mine and I think it's the perfect sweet spot.
Hell yeah, my guy! I just joined the club last month with a 17 Diesel as well. Absolutely love it so far. This weekend, going on a 3 hour road trip with my wife to pick up a pop-up camper in NJ. Never looked forward to a road trip this much before.

Amazon and I 3d printed the mounts for them. I made the wiring harness because paying for that is silly. I jumped off of fuse 54 which is for the trailer light running lights. That fuse is still operational as well.

Should be around $300. You can get the OEM ones on Amazon as well if you don’t have a dealership nearby. They’re relatively easy to install but it does require drilling into the metal of your truck.

Hey all, just wanted to show how bright a LED upgrade kit can make your reverse lights. I did this upgrade so I can see when backing up into my unlit driveway at night. There is some light bleed into the reverse camera which results in the image being bright but grainy. I also upgraded the cargo lights to LED and it doubles the light range.

I have to adjust my handle every so often because it becomes really difficult to open after a while. Seems to be a common problem with the 1st gens. To me it seems like any other handle other than OEM are junk, but even the OEM handles aren't built that great either.
As for getting the cable into the cab, I ran my video cable under the truck and zip tied it to the wiring harness on the driver side all the way down to the engine bay. Then I found a rubber grommet on the firewall in the driver's foot well that you can cut a small slit in and shove the wire through the grommet. You could seal it with some silicone or something if you feel the need to, but I didn't bother lol.
EDIT: btw I know you said you didn't want to use a license plate mounted camera, but I have this one that goes behind the plate and I love it. It doesn't stick out too much and the picture quality is excellent. Reverse camera

My experience is that most people having issue are holding it to the stem. Hold it to the tire just under the stem. This is because the transmitter is on the end of the stem inside the tire not outside.
BTW Amazon sells the OEM sensors for way way cheaper than the dealership or tire shop. I bought these and had them install them when the tires were mounted. They were charging $45 per TPMS for these. Amazon sells for $17 the exact OEM part. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072BK693N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_SAJwFbCKYN74Y

The only issue with 10+ years of use is sometimes there are changes to what codes are out there. Of course if you’re talking about on this vehicle then you’re pretty much golden.
This one seems to be pretty good bang for the buck without having extra bells and whistles.
I would second the high quality cable suggestion. I was having similar problems with my 2019, and purchasing new cables was required. This is what worked for me.
No problem at all. Not sure why yours is honking without being in the learn mode (through settings) though. And, if the tires are all reporting tire pressure (on the cluster's driver information center), the truck won't know which corner a tire is attached (than good to do a re-learn then) I wonder if they left out a sensor, or damaged one? Anyway, this reset tool ($10) worked like a charm on mine.
I run Auxitos. Never had any issues and they’ve been in for months. Massive upgrade over the halogens and didn’t require any additional mods. Stock dust caps and all. Here’s the link to the exact ones I bought.

Amazon. Fortunately my truck came with the black bowtie package, so those were already done. 😎 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MYC2QX4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
And, for full disclosure, you can see a tiny bit of gold on the sides of the bowtie, but directly head-on from the driver's seat, it covers perfectly. I'm happy since it was only $10 and for how easy it was to put on. 💯

Try theseFahren Ursprung. I did not have to modify anything on my headlight assembly. I was able to fit them in properly with room to spare. They have the canbus decoder/driver in-line so you’re able to have it off to the side. They are very bright and do not scatter or have any dark spots.

They're both amazon specials. I've had good luck with the 4wdking brand, I've applied a touch of silicon to both ends of both bars and haven't had any issues with water intrusion. The top bar is a 40" mounted on Prinsu roof rack brackets (slightly modified to lower the bar). The bottom bar is a 30" mounted on these brackets. The bottom bar is a bit tedious to install since you have to remove the bumper but it's not a terrible job.
I have a short bed personal as much as ir doesn't provide security I prefer thr roll up. The way I see it if they want it they are gonna find a way in and the roll up allows you to use the full bed. If you have thr money to dish out and are worried about security of thr bed cover go ahead and get a tri fold or bi-fold bur if that is not your biggest concern I would get a roll up. I got the roll up from gator and it has done me so far metal clamps and nice material also sits nice and flush with the bed if that is thr profile you are going for. For me it looks amazing has caused problems as I am looking to put a sports bar on it and there is only so many sports bar that don't go inside thr bed. But all and all I do really like thr roll up cover and it suits me well. For thr price to material it is not that bad. I have attached the one I got below.

So there's a few ways to go about it.
Simplest and easiest is just wire straight to the battery. You can turn the lights on at any time but run the risk of draining your battery if you forget to turn them off.
Adding another layer of complexity, you can install a low voltage disconnect. For example: https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Sea-Systems-Voltage-Disconnect/dp/B00GZOP53M It will automatically shut off when the voltage drops below a predetermined threshold.
Alternatively, using a relay, you can wire the lights to only be available when the ignition is on. Meaning they still have their own switch, but will shut off with the key regardless of that switch position. This is an ideal setup for accessories that you would only want to use with the engine running anyway.
And of course, the ultimate solution is to install a second battery. Isolated from the engine battery so that you can play all day without fear of being unable to start the engine. Redarc and Renogy are popular brands that sell battery isolators. This would be the most expensive and complex.
>but if you want to spend more on oil than you have to in order to buy stuff that meets the same standards i wont stop you.
Clearly you missed two points. First, there was much higher consumption with Mobil 1 than Penzoil. The Mobil-1 is apparently a lousy choice for the 2.8 Duramax due not to standards, but oil consumption. Second, the Mobil-1 for the Duramax is insanely expensive. Over $50 for 6 quarts.

These are pretty inexpensive and a huge improvement. There’s some pricier options out there too.
The day Baja designs does stock bulbs I’d be all over it.. lol
In that case, I'd just buy something like this (or a higher amperage version of the same thing):
I'd probably just wire it into the cigarette lighter circuit
Yeah that's probably a safe assumption. So, there's a usb hub that all the usb plugs in the cab go to before connecting to the radio. When I replaced my factory radio I bought an adapter to plug the new radio into the existing usbs.
https://www.amazon.com/Metra-AX-USB-MINIB-MINI-Adaptor-Cable/dp/B00I2ZIRVE
You would be adapting in the other direction, but depending on how the wireless charger plugs in, an adapter may not be necessary. I can't confirm as I haven't seen inside one of the newer center consoles. The usb hub is located behind the radio screen, so you may have to take that out to access it.
Ok hear me out.
At the advice of others here on the subreddit I bought Sealight LED’s off Amazon. They are bright white and a huge upgrade over stock.
You can’t beat the price. The ones I orderd are in the link and although I think these are plenty bright, sealight has offerings of brighter bulbs but those ones usually pull more watts and have built in cooling fans that have been known to interfere with stock electronics.

I absolutely love the android head units, as they run Android OS like a tablet. Google maps is an app, not a clone on your phone. Music is native. Backup camera works great (stock camera too), dash cam works great, can be viewed on the head unit, works with stock speakers, or amp, even stock speakers + sub amp. Works really well. Anyway, the one I got was this one.
No, mine have the fan. It's set inside the middle of the heatsink. Here's a link to ones I ordered
Just bought a set of Sealights in February. I like them so far. They've got a good beam pattern and a nice color, bright without being blinding. Hopefully I they last and I'm not having too swap them out every year. Also the passenger side is a pain the ass to swap, look up a video for that one.
I installed one. Works fine for light duty hauling, which is all I do. I used one of these rubber mats for the bed.
This is the one I have. Just a very basic WDH of a proven design that is over 50 years old.

No effect on mileage, AFAIK. They just help balance the weight of the truck back to the front and have a minimal impact on sway.

I've been using the Viofo A129 duo (front and rear) and it works great. It also has a parking mode. Install is fairly simple, you just need a couple of fuse taps (one for a constant power and one for accessory). The install kit comes with low voltage protection to prevent draining your battery when using parking mode.
I have the 2K version and it is clear as day, although I think they now have a 4K version as well.
