Rogue fitness has random restocks - your best bet is checking here periodically: https://www.roguefitness.com/black-concept-2-model-d-rower-pm5 if no one has a link to share.
I picked up one from there today instead of sitting on the waiting list - it was in stock for 4 hours today.

Not sure what phone platform you're on but I saw an app a while back called Form first
I've never tried it so I can't attest to how good it is though!
This is what I'm using for my butt. It really supports my bones well however after a while, foam is getting thinner and I feel the portion of my bottom which is in question in original post. Every single timme when I'm seeing those seats and price tag is going above $50 my eyes roll. But apparently they're really important and they're doing what they're supposed to be doing. Question is for how long ... all those plastic materials will lose their elasticity one day and we'll be brushing our bones against the uncomfortable Concept2 seat all over again :-)
I've never had this, but I also do heavy weight training. When I'm lifting heavy I always use wrist straps. Maybe you could try something like this

I'll be the heretic... On my second pair of Hornet gloves from Amazon. The first pair lasted almost 3M meters.
If it's coming from the crank area, then you had a similar issue as I had, which was a 'thunk / click' every revolution. This was caused by a binding bearing(s) due to the thin oil dripping or drying out.
I was able to fix this with the following:
The benefit of using dielectric grease /silicone lube here is it will not dry out, and it is hydrophobic, so dripping sweat will not wash away the lube while biking.
Hopefully this resolves your issue. I'm going to post this to the Concept 2 Bikerg forum as well since this seems to be a widespread issue.
If it does not resolve the issue, I believe you can contact support and they will send you new bearings to try. I'd still grease them up with the Permatex tune-up grease for the aforementioned reasons.
Good luck!
Like this one?
I've been using the Vapor Fitness silicone seat cover for two months and I like it a lot. Much more comfortable than the bare seat, not too high and squishy, and keeps me stable.
I have been using this since March and have been pleased with it. It grips rather well. I was getting blisters with the stock pads and do not with these.

Can confirm Amazon does sell them for regular price ($945*, took delivery of mine last week); this was the page it's came from. I think I just got exceedingly lucky in my timing https://www.amazon.com/Concept2-Model-Indoor-Rowing-Machine/dp/B00OUGNUO8
I bought this one and it works great
