From my experience the difference between the Sena headsets and anything else at a similar price point is a pretty huge gap. I've used the generic headsets from various manufacturers and seldom would they make it more than 6 months before they failed.
Sena makes an SMH-05 dual pack which is on Amazon at $190, which hits your price point at $95/headset. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0087NB23Q/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_XNLiwbHXGH8T2
Thanks for the info! My girlfriend bought me this last night on Amazon. I got plenty more to buy too but the helm is a good start 😃

I got one of those (for Texas summer riding). It's very light and breathable, also has a rain lining that you can zip in and out. If it's 80+ outside, it's perfect. 70's, I'll throw a hoodie underneath. Below 60 I usually switch to leather.

Right now it has an aftermarket exhaust (You can see it in the last picture with the saddlebags on it, probably took 40 pounds off the bike just changing those). It has also been remapped which made an unbelievable difference. I know bikes tend to come lean from the manufacturer but this one seemed way lean. Can't say how much changing that map made a difference. A couple weeks ago what they call the "pod" kit came in. I'll probably do it over the winter but when it's done it will look something like this guys. Then I'll remap it again. http://imgur.com/DrVyCkr
With this app, my phone and a 12 buck cable I can do just about anything with the bikes computer I want. Change the rev limiter, uncap the manufacturers top end speed, change when radiator fan kicks on. Things like that. Also, there are guys much smarter then me who make custom maps on the triumph boards with that program. They pretty much have any map already made for whatever you can or would change on the bike. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tuneecu&hl=en
Get yourself a good textile jacket with armor at the back, shoulders, and elbows. Make sure you get one that has a removable liner for those chilly mornings and unzippable vents for those hot afternoons.
I bought this one for myself last summer.
These mods have made the most difference in the feel of my bike.
Everything else should fit your taste :)
Depends on what you want out of the bike. If you want a small cruiser that performs, it's the Bolt hands down. It outperforms the sportster in every department. But if you're looking to join the HD club, the Sportster is your ticket. Another positive with the Sportster would be the millions of 3rd party add-ons and hardware to upgrade with. I'm seeing some cool aftermarket gear for the Bolt these days, but it's not even in the same realm as the Sportster where that aspect is concerned.
I've been seeing some great deals on used Bolt's of late. It seems to me that it's a buyer's market for used bikes right now. I'm seeing a lot of good deals on everything just about - HD's included. It really pays to thoroughly search for used bikes. You can find some lightly used, pristine bikes for half as much as a new bike, sometimes less. I'd advise you to keep looking before you put down hard-earned dough on a new bike.

Fantastic choice! Looks great man!
As for the tarnished exhaust, a little of this stuff and some elbow grease should knock it out in no time.
I would take a look with a endoscope and see if you can see it. https://www.amazon.com/Seesi-Endoscope-Waterproof-Inspection-Semi-Rigid/dp/B07PBF6DX5
I can’t honestly say for certain because I don’t know you. But what I can tell you is that I took about 20 years off to help my wife raise our boys and my first bike back was a big Yamaha 1900 Raider. I don’t live in a city but this particular bike handles wonderfully at low speeds and I’ve heard good things about the big Suzuki as well. Training, practice and just don’t push yourself. Those mini floorboards replace standard pegs, I've got them on my shadow and they make a massive difference in comfort. Not insane priced, although you probably want to add the mount kit for your specific bike. I got lucky and could reuse the mounts from my pegs.
go in with both eyes open, and expect some need for ongoing repair and maintenance.
Perhaps a copy of Zen and Motorcycle Maintenance might be a good idea?
I recently upgraded from falling apart $20 gloves to these: brown wrist length gloves from amazon and they’re spectacular. I usually wear a large, but was looking for a tighter fit, so I ordered a medium and they’re very snug. After about a month of riding they’re fitting perfectly.
I have an integrated tail light from CustomLED, they make the BlasterX model to fit the Stryker and I have this rear license plate bracket on my Raider, it may fit the Stryker but you’ll have to contact them to find out.

You may be able to find one cheaper. If you’re in no rush they’re on amazon for about $50 direct from China.
You can get a sissy bar for the back seat that has a luggage rack off the back. Like this
Heck if you’re in the Bay Area or willing to pay for shipping I’ll give you one just like the link.
Good luck
Thanks! These are the bags. Not the greatest but they’ve got about 5k miles and still holding up. Only annoying thing is since they aren’t bike specific the backs are soft, so despite the cheap metal frames inside, over time they’ve indented from the saddle bag fairings and it can be a struggle getting things in and out. Definitely better than a backpack for stuff you need to keep handy like rain gear, tools, and whatnot tho. I like the way they look on my bike too!
Just got these a couple of days ago since I don't ride with anyone to talk to:

work great! and useful off the bike, too.
I just finished (literally got back this afternoon) a two week tour on a largely stock 1994 Virago 750. I added saddlebags, a sissy bar bag and tossed on a tent, sleeping bag and a $8 inflatable mattress from Walmart. The tent, bag and mattress played a bigger part in comfort as a backrest than anything else I've done. No highway pegs or windshield and still has the original seat.

Apparently they went up a bit since I bought it. Still cheap though.
They are actually pretty good size, I initially thought they would be small resistors like in car remote start use, but they are much larger :-)
These are what I used, about the size of a thumb with decent size wire attached, very easy to solder, harder to hide on the bike lol.
Yes I like the more compact looking, is very attractive and functional.
I bought the brackets from Amazon (HTT Group Black 1" 25mm Motorcycle HandleBar 10mm Mirror Thread Mount Holder Clamp Adaptor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HHRV28C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_cUaSAbA2CEB6C)
and I had to buy the adapter for the thread, RH to LH as one of the mirror has inverted thread. I bought the adapter at www.mikesxs.net, I bought 2 so that the final length will match, look for part# 16-4662 and 16-4660.
Or you can buy a new set of mirrors on Amazon without the need of adapters, just make sure you match the thread size on the brackets and the mirrors...
Use Rustoleum Ultra High Heat. I did a set of pipes on a Suzuki SV500. I put about 150 miles on the bike after the restoration was complete before selling it. The pipes seemed to be fine, and they get much hotter than the cylinder head.

Nice solid bag! Ultimately I was looking more for a trunk type bag, so I went with the Dowco Iron Rider main bag. I figured I could get the extra bags if ever i needed more, and its pretty sizeable. I can fit my helmet in the main compartment when im off bike, or toss some clothes and spare shoes/necessities in there.

Went down a couple weekends ago and these were the least damaged out of everything, just a bit scuffed up. Feet and ankles and calves were 100% okay thanks to these, and they still look good to go. Super comfortable for big boots too, flexible in the right way but definitely heavy protection.
I felt silly wearing these every time I ride but in the end I'm so glad I did.
Hey, out of curiousity what kind of plugs do you use? I have an HJC helmet and im looking at getting hte 20S to go with it until I get a new helmet, but i need some plugs to help dull the sound of my new exhaust. Any recommendations? Im currently looking at these:
Im really paranoid on it just being walked away so, I just got this on Amazon till my wallet can recover from Christmas. Any thoughts?

Well, I just spent the time from my last message to now doing a ton of research. I went ahead and ordered some stuff from amazon. The rear sprocket and the front sprocket.
Ill let you know how it goes once theyre received and installed. May as well get the most of the bike, regardless of how long I have it :)
I've had this one with this pressure indicator for 3 years. Not too expensive, and durable so far.
I've also used it to do most of the hardwood floors in my house.
Woot has the compressor every few weeks at a good price, but it often comes with nail guns, which you probably won't need for your motorcycle. :-)
I can think of a pretty simple solution, attach your key to something like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Heavy-Duty-Retractable-Chain-Stainless-Cable/dp/B00416DLOQ
And clip that to your belt loops on your left, that way your key is attached to you and you can't walk away from the bike without it. Simple and effective
Chromed Sabre wheels. Best thing ever. Expensive, but I figured I am making my bike my own rather than flipping it later on for another. I don't have to worry about the aluminum water spots and aluminum corrosion over time and they are simple to wipe down and clean while keeping with the Sabre styling, the reason why I picked my bike to begin with after riding the Shadow Spirit of my dad's in the past.
Also, the removal of my big windshield of the previous owner and the leather tank pocket, giving the bike a sleeker look. I am liking my Sabre's handling after the removal, as the windshield makes the front end for me seem heavier. And while some people call it sacrilege to replace the stock 2000 Shadow Sabre decal and color scheme, I had the fenders, tool and battery cover, and tank repainted to a brighter red than the dark maroon of before.
And I also added the Easy Bracket for my Sabre, giving it capabilities of the cargo of saddle side bags (any bag of my choosing, hard or soft as long as I can use the brackets), but ease of removal keeping the Sabre sleek when I want to with it's pegs, in place of the rear fender bolts.
I also added a tachometer. It helps gauge my shifting and idle at times.
Lastly, I replaced the aftermarket straight through pipes of the previous owner and re-jetted back to the stock Shadow Sabre pipes. The previous ones were TOO LOUD for my liking as I rode with her over time. Enough for me and my neighborhood surroundings to appreciate that I went back to the default stock pipes.
Definitely would recommend a pair of saddlebags. Especially if you pair those with a set of the Easy Bracket mounting system like the one offered for the Shadow 1100s, but there are other makes available.
Removing the bags would return your cruiser to the sleeker look, and it is easy to remount them, with a key locking system.
The look like these . If so repaint the suckers pretty fast with something UV protecting. I had some on my shadow and ripped them back off a few weeks ago. After two years they faded something horrible.
