Starts as an overpriced Assassinate, but it isn't too hard to have 4-5 minions on the battlefield (your opponent's and your own) to have this only cost 2-3 mana.
First made it 9 mana, but then I realized that'd need 4 minions to be Assassinate, which doesn't see play. One mana cheaper is probably enough to be playable.
If ice block is "far from the best secret in the game", then surely you can name more than one secret that's better than it? :)
I think we need to set a definition for "better." So I googled it.
> adjective 1. of a more excellent or effective type or quality. "hoping for better weather" synonyms: superior, finer, of higher quality; preferable... (There is a full list of synonyms here.)
I think we need to find out which secret is better! So I googled "hearthstone card usage statistics". I found this cool website! If you choose the mage class, you can clearly see that........(drum roll please)...
Ice block is 4 times more popular than counterspell! In fact, both Ice barrier and mirror entity are more popular than counterspell.
So if counterspell is far better than Ice Block, like you say, why isn't counterspell played more?
Thanks for the detailed and quality writeup! It would certainly be ideal if everyone could read this and learn from it, understanding that good feedback does not necessarily have to be incredibly lengthy or in depth, but concise enough to justify your thoughts on the card and your suggestions on balance.

When asked about giving feedback, my number one recommendation is Mark Rosewater's (head designer of MTG)podcast on it. It talks about a lot of aspects of feedback including how to both give and receive it. One important part is understanding how to utilize feedback properly. Nowadays, there's so many ways to get feedback even beyond our subreddit and the discord, and you're bound to get a range of comments about your design from it. They'll range from helpful to unhelpful and may call your card well or poorly designed; but being able to determine which ones are actually useful is key.

It'll also be key to understand how and when to utilize the feedback. If one or two people call your design bad or overpowered, that doesn't mean you should immediately scrap your card or nerf it. Sometimes (even often times I find), people are wrong about such things and you need to stand your ground. You should have good reasoning for why your card is costed that way or why that effect does such as well as some existing precedent to compare it to; so explain that to them.
When making an HS card there is an amount of derivative cards unique to it, around 4 but more for simpler cards, after which a card goes from unique and interesting to cumbersome.
There are ways to circumvent this: Kazakus has 10(!) different options however only 2 are used per Kazakus played and the player gets to discover them, eliminating much randomness.
Ysera just barely avoids that by having 2 minions which are basically vanilla in her derivative card pool. The lich king is already rather cumbersome; how long does it take you to think of all 8 death knight cards?
Rin, the first disciple is an almost perfect example of how you can make a card with a lot of derivatives without making it overbearing.
And then you go around trying to make a card with 21 derivatives.
The cards themselves lack cohesion, in theme, power level, and seriousness for a lack of a better term. Their design itself shows a lack of understanding of game mechanics ("add one copy of EVERY CARD IN THE GAME to your deck") and of what makes a card interesting.
This card looks like it would make the game a clown fiesta but not a hearthstone-clown-fiesta, where the game is still HS in essence, but a clown fiesta of another game entirely.
I will not go into the design of each card, power level or otherwise, because that would distract you from the underlying problem - the question of what makes a card interesting.
If you like big Timmy cards I'd suggest you to look at the weekly card creation competition submissions from a related theme.
Not the person you asked, but I like the leper gnome because it makes it no longer an auto include in every aggro deck. Leper gnome was 1 mana deal 4-6 damage and remove an early game minion (unless it's zombie chow). Now argent squire and other aggressive neutrals have a chance to shine.
Kripparian had a video about how broken ancient of lore is/was. I kind of agree, but really do wish that they had kept it playable. Now it's worse than azure drake in most cercumstances. Maybe if they dropped it down to 6 mana, but obviously blizzard has more data than I do.
I kind of side with day9 when it comes to blade flurry, we only think of blade flurry as an okay card because we haven't noticed how insanely broken it is. I predict that we will get a rogue weapon or weapon buff in the next adventure that wouldn't have been possible before the nerf. It also means that rogue can have more minion focused combat.
Since Rafaam took Elise's Battlecry and amped it up, it's only fitting for someone else to do the same to his! Who else but everyone's favorite dashing-rogue-theorized-dragon, Reno Jackson?
Beautiful art created by taking a bronze dragon model from Warcraft 3 - Reborn, chopping Reno's hat and mustache off his original art, and gluing it on, touching him up, and throwing the whole thing in front of a Dalaran background.
It is a small thing, but English actually has a specific order to adjectives, and this would generally be "fat sgt. Igor"
ok so ive used some graphing (from https://www.desmos.com/calculator) and some grade 8 maths to find when this card would be most useful. the answer is on a 10 cost minion with only 3 spell damage (which would give you a value gain of 19.) with 0 spell damage it only get more than 6 value (mana cost + 1 for innate card cost) when you play it on a 5 cost minion.
the equasion i used was 6 + K = (y+2) * (x-(y+2))
where k = total value gain, y = spell damage and x = mana cost of minion targeted.
not exactly the most useful exercise but it was fun nonetheless .
Second Submission
So let's say your opponent has Mirror Entity up - you play this, and it gets destroyed before triggering. Same with something like Explosive or Noble Sacrifice or Freezing - or even cards like Avenge or Duplicate, if he's the one to kill the minion. Although I'm not sure how it would work if he dies from the attack - what would the order be? Either way, a counter to Secret dedicated decks, where just Kezan doesn't really cut it since they have multiple Secrets (cough Secret Paladin cough). Comments and feedback appreciated!
I think this un-set may need a bit of explanation to understand. First off, if you're new to my un-sets, welcome! These "expansions" were inspired by the Unglued and Unhinged sets in MTG and are made for a single purpose: to make the game more interesting to play. If you want to see more of my un-cards, you can look through them here: https://www.reddit.com/r/customhearthstone/search?q=author%3Acoolboypai&restrict_sr=on
Each of these un-sets are usually based around 2 themes and this time its parodies and common/rare cards. Most of my un-cards are epics and legendaries due to their very unique effects and I wanted to see what could be done with more basic cards. My apologies if it may seem a bit "tame" but I can assure you that my next un-set is quite the opposite so be ready for that!
There are other reasons for sharing Hearthstone ideas than just attention. I personally like to post as a form of creative expression for example. I get inspired by seeing the cards made by Blizzard and fans, coming up with my own ideas and takes on effects that I post here just for fun. If no one sees it, then I don't really care.
If you're really looking for people to see your cards, then I recommend posting to our discord. It'll be more prominently seen by people, but the feedback you get will be varied if you don't mind that.
Chicken Statue
1 mana 1/1
Immobile Enrage: Silence this minion
2 things: 1. Do the words ‘this minion’ disqualify this card? 2. This card is designed to be similar to [[Angry chicken]] and [[Gurubashi chicken]], although it is very similar to Angry.
When this card is enraged, it is silenced. This means if you were to heal it back to full health, it would not regain immobility.

Not sure I was able to design the token to my satisfaction. This is kind of a weird combination of effects since no "takes damage" or "survives damage" minion does 2 things, but it was really the only way to make the tokens be a secret. Originally didn't have Rush and I was stuck between changing its stats and giving it Rush. I ultimately felt giving it Rush would be more fun because it would enable it's effect consistently without being oppressive. It is worth noting though that the Phantom Images only appear to have Rush and are still 1/1s.
6 mana 6/9
Battlecry: Discard a weapon from your hand. If you don't have a weapon in your hand, your hero takes 6 damage.
"Oh? You found the very rare artifact Skull of the Man'ari from your latest expedition? Pay your taxes."
/u/Temp_eraturing's advice about imgur albums is a good way to get multiple cards onto a post, but for specifically combining multiple cards in an image, you need some sort of image editing software.
You technically could just do it on MS Paint honestly, but if you don't want to use that and don't own Photoshop, then a relatively nice free software is GIMP. Another one that's fairly popular is Paint.net.
The idea is at the beginning of each turn, Stitches consumes another minion, like the Gorge ability from HOTS. After one turn, that minion is digested and Stitches gains extra stats....or if he is destroyed the minion is returned to the other side of the board.
I'm no good at balancing things, so not sure how the stats look, but my idea in terms of overall balance would be that deathrattles are triggered at the time an enemy minion is consumed. It gives the potential for Stitches to ramp up if not managed, but for the opponent to play deathrattle minions opposite for some advantage.
I'm not sure how you'd explain all of this with the card info though :)
Any feedback would be awesome :)
"After the Blank Scroll incident, Druz decided to live a more peaceful life, hunting old gods and jade golems."
Just a silly idea on how to manipulate enemy spellcasting and hero power usage with the given tools in the game. I don't visit this sub a whole lot so I'm afraid this topic might've already been covered several times, but I want to share it for the small chance that the concept could be interesting.
The idea is that this minion can't be manually targeted by spells and hero powers yet when they are cast on something else they get redirected to Borja.
Mana cost and health are not thought through as I feel like this would need a whole lot of adjustment since it affects a big part of the game. My idea of health was 3 since most classes can deal 3 with spells easily and it will be hit by most AoE-spells too. Giving it 4 health and thus guaranteeing that it blocks at least two cheap damage spells if protected behind a taunt feels too strong to me. The mana cost should be fairly low so Borja can enter the board early if necessary.
Hero powers are a tough one, most classes would not be affected at all (Shaman, Rogue, Paladin, Warrior, Warlock) while some could easily be locked out of their game, like Priest. So limiting the effect of Borja to only spells could be possible, although I feel like giving it an upside against certain classes isn't too bad.
Art is from BorjaPindado (https://www.deviantart.com/art/Shaman-Goblin-497703396) who this minion is named after. Flavor idea was a Goblin shaman who tinkered with radioactivity in combination with elemental powers and is now elusive yet also a magnet to all magic at the same time.
Alright boys, that's enough. I have no idea what you're upset about, especially to the degree where you're insulting others. This art is easily found and was the 7th result when I searched 'archer' on Deviantart.
In our community, art is not restricted by who used it in their card first. Anyone is allowed to use whatever art they want. So unless you are the original artist of the art, there's really nothing to fight over.
Welcome to our subreddit! As your fellow members have already pointed out, you can create the cards over at hearthcards.net. We also have a discord! Hope to see you around!
