While Docky is nice, I've always found it a bit resource intensive, and less stable. (Though, I haven't tried it in about a year.)
AWN is really light weight, and super easy to configure. I've never had an issue with it.

Don't even bother with the instructions past the placing of the theme files inside C:\Windows\Resources\Themes cause it'll concern truly useless details that requires you to modify system files. Trust me, don't modify them. Or prepare yourself with back up files and a third party explorer to navigate and put your shit back up without an operational system.
By the way the orb is a custom one. Here https://www.mediafire.com/?6yr856d4tf3hcyb
I liked your taskbar, so I looked into "Bins".
Unfortunately, it costs $20.
Here's a free alternative for folks I found -- I'm going to try it out and see if it "clicks".
http://alastria.com/software/7stacks/
EDIT: it's not bad. Probably not as polished as Bins, but it fits my price range ($0).
Windows 10 is considerably less customizable because the pool of 3rd party themes is so tiny, you can probably find a couple on DeviantArt but it's going to take a long time to build up a comparable number to Windows 7 or even 8/8.1
You might also want to look into Rainmeter and maybe even custom shells like bblean?
Install and update Xcode (the mac osx development and unix tools) from your install disk. Then install Homebrew (it ports a lot of Linux/Unix packages to OSX) then install/run Cmatrix from the command line.
I don't have time to explain homebrew and other cool OSX tips right now, but here is a good blog post on how to use homebrew. http://www.engineyard.com/blog/2010/homebrew-os-xs-missing-package-manager/
If you would like i could make a more in depth guide on how to customize/get the most out of OSX (maybe some of you other OSX users can help me?)
EDIT: the terminal i use is called iTerm2 its far more useful the the standard osx terminal (split screen, Tabs, Easy color management ect)

When done:
It's a brilliant program it can rename files using various formulas from hex to replacing a string with another. I suspect there are alternatives but it's what I've used for years.
I've heard good things about SharpKeys too, but I haven't used it much at all. Have you tried Auto Hotkey? It's super simple and there's a HUGE helpful community. Here's an example: https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/97822-how-can-i-make-printscreen-macro/
Try this software. I've used it for years and it works great. I'm using the purchased version, but you can use the 30-day trial version and then uninstall it once you don't need it anymore.
If you can't make icons work right, contact me please. I'll be more than glad to convert your images into icons since I'm experienced with icons and cursors.
You're going to have to include that in your original post.
What you want to look for in the Love2D documentation is for something like; "Always on Bottom" or "Use as desktop wallpaper"
In C# it can be handled like this: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/527950/how-to-make-always-on-bottom-window
A way i've used for years to find the "best" of something, that could be better.

Not everything is linked to one application, but as you view alternatives for the alternatives you really begin to get a complete picture.
I used Rocket Dock on XP/W7 but in terms of performance, tweaking and options that one is unrivalled.
Lots have issues with games and fullscreen exclusive, auto-hide causing overlay issues with performance, graphics being rendered by something demanding, etc. TLB can be heavy-weight when in use, and lightweight when not, perfect.
I have a program that's fairly new to me. It's called XLaunchpad and it basically just mimicks the OSX launchpad. Some people might not like it, but I do for now at least. http://download.cnet.com/XLaunchpad/3000-2344_4-75680966.html
yah I had a hard time searching for results other than right click>rename. I found one video that was interesting but it's soooo blurry i can't see what they were doing in the registry
I've personally run in to this problem a few times. Basically, you're going to have change the icon of the exe file itself. You can do this with a free program called "reshacker".
Here is a guide on exactly what it is you'll need to do: http://www.howtogeek.com/75983/stupid-geek-tricks-how-to-modify-the-icon-of-an-.exe-file/
Edit: I forgot you'll need to clear the windows icon cache after you change the icon to see its effects on the taskbar.

Just run the batch file they have a link to.
First off, Why the Hell would you pay money for something you can get for free?
Something I use at home on my 3monitor setup is Ultramon
Super easy to setup and install, and it allows you to control each monitor as its own desktop if you want it to.
It also allows for amazing custom wallpapers like The One I Have

Looks like those older versions aren't old enough.
Set your taskbar transparent or translucent with this free thing, it's great & free to use :
https://github.com/TranslucentTB/TranslucentTB
for dock, i suggest Nexus dock from winstep :
Sorry it was 3am when I wrote that and I missed something. You'll also need a commandline tool call NirCmd you can call it to change system volume, or a specific devices volume.
For example I have: sc130::Run nircmd.exe changesysvolume 655
where sc130 is my volume key found from Autohotkey.
As far as I know, the themes that these creators make must be adjusted to support any changes with latest patches. I've been on 1703 for awhile and haven't had issues. My recommendation is to apply the default Windows 10 theme, do a reboot. Apply the theme you want, if it still looks strange then do another reboot or logout and check again. Alternatively, do a complete uninstall of UltraUX and apply stock theme and reboot - try to remove left over files from UltraUX beforehand, if any. Then try again.
Looking at some of the themes that guy has on DA for Windows 10 - I don't see anything that mentions they support Build version 1703. 1703 is the Creators update. His descriptions only mention last year's November update and the before Anniversary update. You can test this by applying a theme that actually calls out supporting build 1703: https://niivu.deviantart.com/art/BIB-676860381
If borders are the only thing you care about - you can simply use Winareo Tweaker and change the size of borders... https://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.1836
Fences from Stardock sounds like it would work for you:
http://www.stardock.com/products/fences/
This is what I use. You can put those 2 icons inside a "fence" on your desktop, then set them to fade out when your mouse isn't on them.
For Temp, Folders, Programs, Music, and Games... I used another program called Fences. It's a desktop organisation tool that makes it really easy to organize items on your desktop. It's really cool, you can put plenty of items inside each box and scroll down inside it. You can also make the boxes any size you want. You can get that here.
For the Weather, I downloaded a weather skin for Rainmeter here. Hope that helped!

As for your post, it's a touch confusing.
> but when I am using the monitor my monitor is my primary display.
This part lost me. Is it just a monitor alone that's connected to the laptop simply to provide more desktop space or is the laptop connected to like a desktop computer and using that monitor/system?
> have the wallpaper image that is on Screen 2 on Screen 1 when I do not have the external monitor connected
Screen 2 as in the external monitor and have that wallpaper move to Screen 1 as in the laptop screen when the external monitor is disconnected, correct?
As I know nothing about the program you mentioned, I can't say anything related to it, however I believe DisplayFusion has a 'wallpaper profile' option that will do this.
I just finished my desktop customization and organizing my backgrounds so I thought I could share it with you. So here it is!

If you have any questions, just ask me and I'll try to answer them.
oh, and this is my first post on reddit.
As you can see there are many options. I'm coming from using Directory Opus for years, and I got tired of waiting for active development, and the price is quite expensive imho. I've used various tabbed-type like Clover which is good in many ways, but I was looking for something full-functioned like Total Commander, but with a slick interface with all the bells and whistles, and a very attentive developer who listens to the community (something DOpus lost imho). The final decision was an easy choice for me to switch to XYplorer! Fantastic! Great price, and excellent (flexible) licensing options. I am very impressed so far.
You might want to check out some alternative to the "biggie" Total Commander as it and many of the alternative are excellent: https://alternativeto.net/software/total-commander/
You'll find there are quite a few (tons!) of options!
One that always looked interesting to me, and if you were looking for a freebie, was "Q-Dir" - pretty slick. It has a portable version as well.
https://alternativeto.net/software/q-dir/
But for me, XYplorer has EVERYTHING I am looking for in a file manager! Highly recommended.
