The first of these tracks, An Encounter, works really well if played at the same time as /u/asilvermtzion's response to a quadcopter drone video posted to this sub a couple of weeks ago.
hello. wanted to let you know that your answer inspired me to learn more about the Apophthegmata Patrum. I purchased this book from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0879079592/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I was blown away by your answer. Thanks for taking the time to write all that out to me. I also wanted to let you know that i relate to you on a deep level with regards to travel and immigrating to new places. I spent 20 years of my life traveling and living in different cities around the world. The initial isolation is indeed scary and full of possibilities. The more I did it the better I got at dealing with the many issues associated with it... would not change my experiences for the world.
It's interesting that you've taken what you learned from the Apophthegmata Patrum and channeled that through you own experiences to create music. I am moved by both what you wrote, the piece itself and how you came to create it.
I have been studying some things in the hopes that i may one day start making some drone music, and this post and our little conversation has inspired me and taught me that perhaps i should draw upon my experiences in my creativity.
I think it would be interesting to talk to you more about these topics some day. maybe. we'll see :)
