There's some really good books on there and they all redeem on amazon, it might be smart to list out some of the better ones either in this thread or as their own posts.
Alan Dean Foster has a trilogy for just a couple bucks: https://www.amazon.com/Damned-Trilogy-False-Mirror-Spoils-ebook/dp/B06XRRMTKD
I haven't read Saga yet, but Saga Compendium is only $40.90 now, which contains all the issues. As each volume (there are 9) is sold at around $10, unless you buy all of them at $3.99, it would be (much) cheaper to buy the Compendium. Also, FWIW, the Compendium was on sale at $23.99 from 17 December 2019 to 7 January 2020.
It should be noted that all of Wells' works are out of copyright and available in every ebook format for free and forever from Project Gutenberg.
Happy reading!
It never fails that Amazon offers this a day or two after I've bought a bunch of books, lol.
I could always get The Belgariad books, which are finally on Kindle after years. I believe they were briefly on Kindle before and then got pulled.
I remember reading the first one in paperback and enjoying it, but never any of the others.
I am weighing between waiting for a price drop and just getting it now. I would hate for them to disappear again. $5.99 each isn't an unreasonable price.
Just FYI, for $2.99 you can get all the public domain works by D H Lawrence (11,352 pages), which includes this poetry collection. (It does not yet include Lady Chatterley's Lover, but as soon as it goes into the public domain, the ebook will be updated to include it.) Anyway, link:
https://www.amazon.com/Collected-Works-Lawrence-Delphi-Classics-ebook/dp/B0050SQLMS
And here's the Amazon US link for American readers.
The company selling this version of Lolita does not have the copyright. Random House is the owner of the copyright for the US. Yes, Amazon does allow third parties to sell bootlegs of popular e-books on their service. I have confronted them in the past and they did not care. Don't bother consulting customer service, they choose not to know or care. These are the only legitimate digital versions on Amazon US: https://www.amazon.com/Lolita-Vintage-International-Vladimir-Nabokov-ebook/dp/B003WUYRB8 https://www.amazon.com/Annotated-Lolita-Revised-Updated-ebook/dp/B004KABE2Y
This has never been at this price before according to ebook deals
https://www.ereaderiq.com/dp/B003WUYR8Q/portnoys-complaint/
Hard one to get your hands on.
That seems like a good price to me.
For others with Nooks, The same edition is also available from Barnes and Noble for the Nook at the same price.
She Who Became The Sun also on sale
https://www.amazon.com/She-Who-Became-Shelley-Parker-Chan-ebook/dp/B08GZXND63
These two were the two I was waiting for to finish up this year's Hugo nominees
This book was on sale also briefly earlier in June... maybe it will come again soon.
Do you know about ereaderiq, you can set up to get email when kindle books go on sale (it doesn't do any other publisher, but most of the time Kobo and Google Play have same sales)
https://www.ereaderiq.com/dp/B008RZKPFA/wish-you-were-here-a-novel-emily-maxwell-book-1/
Other books in the series also costs $3,99 (or $6,21). The series on Amazon is borked, just search for the "30th Anniversary Edition".

https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07JHX4H9V?binding=kindle\_edition
This was out since 2017 ;) https://www.amazon.com/Robe-Story-Soldier-Tossed-Christs-ebook/dp/B06XCR1HSJ/ I only know this because I kinda remembering liking this book, but never had a chance to re-read
So searching Barnes & Nobel for "Best of Tor" has these volumes as well. 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021 are free there as well. (Older volumes from 2011-2015 are not free.)
There's also Rocket Fuel: Some of the Best From Tor.com Non-Fiction which is free as well. Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F68QPCF
The reviews on Amazon look alright. May not be a bad pickup for the price. If it ends up not so great you could always put it down little money lost.
Thanks for the heads up! One day I'll have the whole series.
There are a few more on sale too, like MOSCOW and HAVANA, including others. Just keep scrolling for deals:

Remembered your comment and thought you might be interested in this...

https://www.amazon.com/Translating-Great-Russian-Literature-Routledge-ebook/dp/B08QTJQBKL

It's a free academic study of Penguin's post-war russian classics, from the first few pages looks like good stuff to me (author isn't a great stylist but the subject is tasty if your interested in translations)
I have been wanting to get this when it went on sale, but on sale for me is below $5. According to https://www.ereaderiq.com/dp/B07H492V8M/the-cloud-roads-volume-one-of-the-books-of-the-rak/ this book hasn't been cheaper than $5.69
Note that the second book is cheaper than the first book right now.
Martha Wells is the author of the murderbot series which I have really enjoyed and the latest book got a Hugo award this year.
I got this version years ago: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B000FC0V3E/ (Also $1.99 right now)
Oddly enough, this one has a print length of 256 pages, while the version in the OP has a print length of only 98 pages even though it includes extras like an introduction and bonus materials.
I wonder why the large disparity?
Print length on Amazon seems to be inexact and wonky, especially when calculated from the Kindle versions. On the actual corresponding hardcover edition page for this, it says 320 pages.
Anyway, the “Hemingway Library” seems to be a label for authorized by the literary estate as the preferred manuscript, etc. (Hemingway is already public domain in my country, so there are tonnes of ebooks for sale floating around). The other, older version you have (which I also picked up because why not?) has an introduction by Irish author Colm Tóibín, whereas this new one omits that but has brief intro by Patrick Hemingway and a longer intro by Seán Hemingway. The UK Scribner edition has an introduction by novelist Philipp Meyer if anyone else wants to complete the set.

I stole this from a customer who asked on the Amazon site:
Yes but it involves a few steps. I do this for my Kobo Aura H20 for Kindle books. First, install Calibre (https://calibre-ebook.com). Second, install the DeDRM plugin (https://apprenticealf.wordpress.com/2012/09/10/calibre-plugins-the-simplest-option-for-removing-most-ebook-drm). Third, install the Kindle for PC app and use it to download your Kindle books. Then use the Add Books function in Calibre to add them to your Calibre library. The DRM will be removed during import. The Kindle books are in your Kindle Content directory. Plug the Kobo into your computer and use Calibre to add the books to your Kobo; they'll be automatically converted to ePub before they're transferred.

Great. So you'll stop then? You wouldn't want to be leaking your personally identifiable information all over the place, would you? Your ID is all over the Internet.
You wouldn't want to dox yourself right?
In this case you would only post:

I hope that is helpful in the future and allows you to post in this and other subreddits without violating the rules.
BTW Dune Collection is $8.99 now on amazon.com. Contains all six canonical books.
Currently reading, just finished "Heretics", and wow, what a read. But some books are better than other.
Thank you. It's worth reading and a good addition to his best short stories collection: https://www.amazon.com/Selected-Stories-Philip-K-Dick-ebook/dp/B008P96TI0/

I don't know what that version posted that was $2 something was. I might have been a bootleg version. You can also search sale history here: https://www.ereaderiq.com/dp/B001C4NXKM/the-stand/
Judging by that, it doesn't seem the normal ebook version of The Stand has been on sale recently.
Note that this "Complete" Newsflesh Collection is just (most) of the short stories/novellas and not the novels.
Still a great deal tho.
The books are in this collection (also on sale): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DHJNKW2/ref=kinw_myk_ro_title
Looks interesting at first look I was misled thinking it was by a fantasy with a similar name, I look forward to checking this one out tho after the 1st, Thanks for the recommendation https://www.amazon.com/Iron-Tower-Mithgar-Tale-ebook/dp/B07W9B24X8/ref=sr\_1\_2?crid=1SIYL0USV9FZS&dchild=1&keywords=iron+tower+trilogy&qid=1624728696&s=books&sprefix=iron+tower%2Cstripbooks%2C182&sr=1-2
Searching for "Tim Dorsey Collection #1" brings up nothing, but this is presumably it:
Unfortunately, it's not on sale.
The first four books of A Court of Thorns and Roses are all on sale for either $2.99 or $1.99 for Amazon Kindle.
Weird, I posted this and two other deals this morning and they both now just show [Removed]. Has anyone had this issue? Sorry, I was worried that if I made a post to ask it would also be removed, so I'm jumping on here. The other two books I posted are:
Fevre Dream by George R. R. Martin ($4.99: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000FC29J8)
New York: The Novel by Edward Rutherfurd ($4.99: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002PMVY3I)
Turns out I wrongly posted the link for the Hardcover version of the book (oops). Here’s the link to the kindle version :)
Since 10 July the price has never been higher than $3.99, and was at its lowest price of $1.99 during 16 Sep to 29 Sep. See eReaderIQ for price history.
Sorry to say this, but it's a good but not great deal. It IS a great book though.
I don't think you can--it's protected by Google's DRM. You can read them through the Play Books app.
Or you could just buy the book from Amazon for the same price: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EMXBDMA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_cqltBbNV7QGQ8
In an England full of zombies something much worse rises from the death and decay. And it's hunting a teenage girl.
Also £0.99 on Amazon UK for same time period:
I'd be lying if I didn't have the same impulse most of my life;-)
in all seriousness though, the sparrow sequel is the cure for that.
Now if you've never read the sparrow, it's an award-winning sci-fi novel. It deserves every single award. it's got a monkey's paw type of ending that will make you question your soul if your religious even in the slightest.
The main character is a priest if it helps to clarify that last part. We see the story through his experiences.
Now everybody warned me," NEVER EVER READ THE SEQUEL! It's an affront and undoing to everything that was important in the first book . Beyond unacceptable, and what's more so is you actually get charged money for the horror unfold on the pages!"
Yep, these were paperbacks. The kind of books made from trees and not electronic signals. We used to have those;-)
So, sucker for a warning that I am, I ignored it.
I mean, the first book is damn near perfect for what it is. Surely more of the same couldn't be bad....
https://www.amazon.com/Sparrow-Novel-Book-ebook/dp/B000SEIFGO
Amazon lists these is a series now. They call it the sparrow series to draw attention away from the horror of the second book by using only the name of the first in the title, but it doesn't confuse the second book's victims any--we warn people:
Don't read the second book!
It's an affront and undoing to everything that was important in the first book!
Beyond unacceptable, and what's more so is you actually get charged money for the horror unfold on the pages!
Reading it as an e-book electronically does not make the the blow any less heavy!
Grammatically correct is not enough!
Run!!!!!
Yep, you're not going to listen, because did menomaminx listen? Did anyone ever listen to this morning who didn't end up buying the book and suffering for it?
After you get back from reading the second book, I look forward to your review warning people,
Run!!!!!!!!
And then we'll see who listens;-)
Free version on Amazon. Or Project Gutenberg is always free.
There's no need to pay money for anything written before 1924 unless you want a particular modern translation.
It shows US$1.07 for me. Meanwhile The Player of Games is US$7 instead of US$2.99. I live in Hong Kong though. I would like to buy The Player of Games at US$2.99. Sigh...
thanks for this one.... looks like only 2nd time in 10 years it's been this price per:

https://www.ereaderiq.com/dp/B004H1U288/the-crimson-petal-and-the-white-a-novel/

Now make stuff by John Crowley go on sale :)
Pay $9 more for JFK and the Unspeakable (or wait for it to go on sale) if you want to find out what actually happened. Fuck this book.
Feels like I've been waiting literally a decade for a price-drop.
Ereaderiq.com says it's been $1.99 once before (since they started tracking the book in 2012), but the previous $1.99 drop doesn't show on their graph and I don't remember it ever dropping this low until now.
Stoked to finally pick it up! Been hearing great things about this for so long.
You really don't want to use that translation, it is known to be deficient. The modern one is much better. https://www.amazon.com/Autumn-Middle-Ages-Johan-Huizinga-ebook-dp-B0892PR52J/dp/B0892PR52J/ref=mt_other?_encoding=UTF8&me=&qid=
I bought this the time it was on sale, expecting it to be the novel that the movie was based on, but this is not that book though that looks to be on sale for $3 as well.
I wouldn't have minded, but after the story was done, there was a sort of book club question prompt section in which they really made it clear they knew there was going to be confusion about the names of the books and slyly asked if you would have read it if you didn't have the expectations from the title.
Volume 3 went on sale today .. . . no guarantee the rest will, I think Amazon devls will often put vol 3 and 1 of trilogy on sale and do vol 2 very rarely

If you want to get it cheaper (for Kindle) you can set a price tracker on it on ereaderiq.com. Here is its page: https://www.ereaderiq.com/dp/B01675AB28/the-house-of-the-spirits-a-novel/
It was last on sale in January/February so it might not be on sale again for a while. Alternatively, if you are ok with getting it as a loan from a library rather than owning it, you can try to get it from Libby/Overdrive from a library near you/that you have a membership with. Although, these usually have long wait times but not for all books. Worth checking out though.
And ebooks as pdfs are not sold by Amazon, and I am not sure about any of the other books selling websites. Most sell as epub, mobi, or Amazon as some azw3 or something.
Same at Amazon Canada
Yes, books like these sell for 12 USD and more. I lowered the price to 10 USD. It is a good deal. Take a look at this book 24 USD >> https://www.amazon.com/Spiritual-Warfare-WorkBook-James-Monteria/dp/0989770478/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=spiritual+warfare+workbook&qid=1562489326&s=gateway&sr=8-5
Does this today's deal, for example, work for you? https://www.amazon.com/Area-51-Uncensored-Americas-Military-ebook/dp/B004THU68Q
In US the price should be 2.99 while in the EU it probably won't work at all (instead of price, there should be "This title is not currently available for purchase")
I downloaded a treatise on a 19th photographer who took photos of the Pueblo Indians which looks fascinating (it's less about Pueblos than an anthropological investigation of photography).
Aha, you must be talking about that Blobaum book, which also looks excellent. BTW, it's not on sale, but I stumbled upon another Cornell title which I absolutely have to read: Paradox of Ukrainian Lviv: A Borderland City between Stalinists, Nazis, and Nationalists by Tarik Cyril Amar . I lived in Ukraine for a while, and found Lviv a subject of endless fascination...
Read the story of a red-haired girl as she learns how to be noticed in a busy world. You will feel inspired by the ending of this beautifully illustrated, modern picture book.
Not that there's anything wrong with this edition (it's the version I read in high school in the 1980s), but here's another more recent translation that errs on the side of being literal. Also, it contains illustrations, which is a nice touch -- and only costs 99 cents! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M707E6R/
How to Travel with a Salmon & Other Essays
are also on sale. Got all three, thanks for the heads up!
It's the same price on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Color-Purple-Collection-Familiar-Possessing-ebook/dp/B0090WRZMA/
I don't have much use for either Google or Apple's book store though because they try to lock you into a specific device. At least with Amazon, I can use it with all of their devices, and more.

My latest novel, Dying Paradigm, is out.
> Streets or suites, it’s all the same. Everyone has problems. They’re all too busy with theirs to care about yours.
> Aramenta Nimi is one more forgotten face, lost in a sea of thirty-five million souls struggling to sink or swim in the Rotten Apple. Digital is sexy, and cybernetics can rebuild you better than before, but mostly everyone’s just looking to get by and get ahead. Whatever it takes, whoever has to die, that’s how it is. As much as it all costs, life is still cheap.
> When corps can turn money into nation-state power, they don’t have to sulk when their market share isn’t what they want it to be. Money buys bodies, weapons, armor, tanks, and everything else needed to boost stock prices, profits, and juicy quarterly bonuses. It also stops any yelling that might come from what’s left of the government. Tired of competing for shelf space and patent rights? Redefine what speed of business means. To something that includes firepower.
> After a greedy megacorp looking to lock down their market space hands the wrong delivery job to Aramenta, her whole life gets turned upside down and shot apart in a nanosecond. There’s a bounty on her head that’ll boost any squatter gutter punk into a 5th Avenue penthouse. She was just one dirty face in the endless crowds, now she’s a paycheck with a name. One that’s being blasted across the net a hundred times a second. Because she’s bad for business. A blip on the balance sheet.
> If running from everything you ever wanted, all you ever had, keeps you breathing … do you run or fight?
> Sometimes dreams die.
There is a different Kindle edition of this title, available under this link: https://www.amazon.com/Sixth-Extinction-Unnatural-History-ebook/dp/B00EGJE4G2/ - and maybe that's the default search result. Normally you should see the other version (the one for 2 bucks) under the "All versions" tab, but it's indeed not there
Hello. This book is also on sale at Amazon.co.uk. I have other books on sale, too. You can buy Butcher Road and Sinister Syndromes for $0.99 during the same period. (Sinister Syndromes is also on sale in the UK.) Thank you for checking these deals out. I appreciate it!
It appeared beyond the orbit of Neptune. An alien space station, a threat to the Sol System and a gateway to the galactic civilization.
For the last hundred years, humanity has sent a champion to fight for our future. Every one has lost.
Now, monstrous aliens have designs on the Sol System itself. The winner of a single bout of deadly combat inside the Orb Station will be granted the rights to conquer Earth and all of her fledgling colonies. This is the final chance for victory before humanity is destroyed.
Rama Seti is a professional gamer, a hero of the virtual world. He has not left his apartment in years, he is morbidly obese and has no real world combat experience. But, when the tactical surgeon from the United Nations Orb Project breaks into his home and cuts off his head, Rama is transplanted onto a giant, genetically engineered body designed to be the perfect weapon.
Success in this mission means humanity will finally take its place as a member of the galactic network of alien empires. Failure will mean our destruction.
If you enjoyed Ender's Game, Starship Troopers, The Forever War, and Old Man's War, you'll love Orb Station Zero, the first in a new military science fiction series.

Hello all!
I would greatly appreciate it if you would download and review my first installment in my Transcendental Synergy serial.
The first installment is titled Jacob & Maria - The Beginning and it is free till the 27th on Amazon.com.
I am looking forward to reading your reviews! :)
When her mother takes her own life after her father leaves, therapist Marcy Jordan vows to open a clinic aiding the broken-hearted. Although helping her clients proves therapeutic, Marcy quickly becomes embroiled in their lives: Harry and Grace have been left by cheating spouses and Amanda has lost her husband to a motorcycle accident. In Karen Woods' ninth novel, she weaves a tale of lost love, deception and betrayal. But will the characters finally be able to move on with their lives? Just 99c this week http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00GACAJ6C
I finished this novel, <em>Awakened</em>, a year ago. During rewrites there were considerable changes made to the story, which I loved and know will make the story better, but I was bummed that the original Awakened would never get out there. So I've decided to publish it!
Included at the end of Awakened is a one chapter excerpt of the new edition, which should be out in 2016 if not earlier.
Here's the Amazon.com link for US/ Canada, if you're having trouble otherwise.
The hardcopy book version can be bought here https://www.createspace.com/5281040
Please do leave a review once you've read it. It helps spread the word!
We will be having FREE on Kindle our new eBook “Why is the moon following us?” !!! It will be free for 3 days, from Friday 15/05/2015 until Sunday 17/05/2015. Check it out at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00W8BY8AW (ASIN: B00W8BY8AW). The author is María Escobedo Cubas (http://www.amazon.com/Mar%C3%ADa-Escobedo-Cubas/e/B00WFGWJ4W).
It is a short book for children, all 26 pages beautifully illustrated, about a curious and joyful girl called Lucy and her faithful friend Lulo, her magic rabbit, which starts an amazing adventure while travelling to grandma´s house.
Well this is a little messed up. Amazon overcharged me. Twice.
I saw this post the other day, followed the link and verified on the Amazon page that the sale price was still active (because we all know they can fluctuate quickly), and made the purchase at $3.64.
Then I was clearing out my email inbox today and happened to see the receipt email from Amazon -- and I had been charged $11.04! wtf?
Not only that but they'd done the same thing on a second ebook purchase on the same day: Burning Chrome, which I bought at the $4.99 sale price but I realized they'd charged me $10.39!
If it was just one book I could almost believe I'd goofed and missed a reverted price on the product page. But (a) I specifically remember looking at the $4.99 on Burning Chrome and debating whether it was worth it, right up to the point I click the 1-Click Buy button; and (b) there is categorically no way I made the same mistake twice in a single day, after 4 years and a couple of hundred Kindle purchases of never having made that mistake before.
The eReaderIQ tracker addin for Chrome shows a bunch of price fluctuations for these two books over the past several days, so I'd recommend anyone who purchased either book take a quick look at your receipt to confirm what you were actually charged.
Edit: Fortunately Amazon's digital refund policy is very good: no questions asked within 7 days of purchase at the click of a button.
