Hey GreenArrowCZ,
Thanks for sharing these concerns. I understand your doubts and would like to address a few of them. We, the developers, do in fact spend a lot of time paying attention to our players. Not only do we watch how players are behaving by tracking impersonal things like stats and game logs, but we more importantly spend a lot of time reading what they have to say. This includes all of the negative reviews and the criticism. We try to respond when we can.
We would have loved to have kept the Full Collection available if it were something that was possible. We truly aimed to make the CCG experience something different in terms of financial model, but we hit a wall. We discovered that launching Faeria as a F2P game and still providing the Full collection wasn't compatible. In the end, we realized we did not have a choice in the matter if we wanted to continue (you can read more here https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/84-a-new-dawn), but it remains our main goal to keep the experience as fair as possible for non-spenders. If you look at the positive reviews, you'll also see that a lot of people are finding the game extremely generous. There is nothing left but for you to make your own judgement call here.
Why should you play Faeria? Well, we hope the game speaks for itself. Faeria is unique. It is our strong belief that it is one of the most innovative CCG's out there, and the gameplay is incredibly solid. Despite Faeria being really different from other games available, we wanted players to feel as if they're playing a true classic, and not just any clunky game. As we're getting closer to release, we're definitely looking forward to making Faeria a world wide success, and we can't wait to make every of our early adopters proud.
Note: we are reworking the outgame UI and will make it possible to craft while editing your deck.
I think it's important to read this post they wrote as a response to these concerns (which I also had) and keep in mind that they are trying to focus on gold gain in other ways other than winning. Although winning is what we want in general for a game, being matched against high level players and always being defeated (no rewards) will not let players progress and they'll probably quit eventually.
Here is that post. https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/136-faeria-friday-war-war-always-changes
try this control list, it's working realy well for me around rank 5 to legend. https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/deck/1117-ry-event-control
i should be about 15:4 against blue jump now with the deck. the 4 losses were before i added the firestorm, that helps a lot (5:0 against blue today).
I lost twice against luuu (one of those was due to a huge missplay at the end), once against teddy and imperia. teddy and luuu90 were both tryharding into top 10 godrank (luuu's matches were close, but he had some inaccuracies; teddy stomped me :P). beaten a couple of godranks and the rest was between rank 5 and 1.
but yeah.. i think the mobility coupled with jump and frogify for big threats makes it realy punishing to play against.
Blue has everything you want from shaman. Frogify is a lot like Hex, they have a Master of Evolution type legendary, and they even have a 4 Mana 7/7!
no it's not that bad.
look at this: https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/deck/2904-aurora-open-2-blue-jump
a quite recent bjump version that should do fairly well in the current meta, it is not the easiest deck to pilot but usually quite fun to play.
and i cant remember a time in faeria when people didnt complain about Yrush and some draws are unbeatable but right now i think it is well balanced and still strong but depending on the meta not always the best choice of ranked ladder.
I made a blue jump counter deck. I've won around six matches against blue jump with it and only lost one.
It uses taunts and Imperial Drain to stop blue jump from collecting any faeria, while using combat creatures to get extra faeria.
Taunts are good against jump, since they can stop jumpers from double collecting. If you prevent blue jump from collecting from your well, they can't reduce the cost of their colossi.
You must own a DLC in order to unlock the cards from it. The only way to obtain a DLC is to purchase it from the Steam store. Once you purchase Fall of Everlife DLC, you'll get 5 chests right away that contain cards from the expansion.
20 more cards will become available August 21st. You'll get 5 more chests at this time.
You can collect the rest of the cards through gameplay by earning more Battle Chests, or by crafting any non-legendary every 12 hours.
"Don’t worry, if you’re an existing player we won’t be asking you to pay to continue playing, we will have a process in place for current and previous players to keep your accounts active with all your current progression, completely free of charge."
-Faeria Friday under Becoming Buy-to-Play
Like I don't want to be rude but it's really hard not to point out how easy it is to just read the faeria friday before making wild claims like "Abrakam totally might make us all buy the game we're already playing"
So you're saying that: Deck strategy that my opponent uses shouldn't affect on my gameplay strategy at all.
As far as I can tell. In every cardgame/strategy game, aggro strategies are cheapest and best for new players to have. Cards are cheap to buy and easy to get used to. Denying aggro would be same as turning game into pure P2W due the fact that people don't want to spend money on expensive cards to play good control decks.
How to deal with Aggro: https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/guide/1-defending-against-rush-for-beginners
This article explains pretty well. You are suppose to stall your own game options when aggro comes. Aggro's strenght is suppose to be early game. If you could just ignore it and do whatever you want. Then there wouldn't even be any point of having any aggro decks in this game.
Also don't worry about stalling your game. Aggro players generally surrender when they notice that they failed to make early impact great enough.
Unfortunately, after our last update, mobile support for Android and iOS has ended. Our reasons for discontinuing mobile support will allow us to focus on PC versions going into the future.
You can find a more detailed explanation here: https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/221-faeria-friday-forward-to-the-future
Btw, if you already have the game before the B2P model, you won't need to pay for the base game. I guess you need to play at least the tutorials.
[EDIT]
About rush meta, it is not really the case. The ladder is very nicely diverse, I thing it's been like that since the Skywhales nerf. Take a look at this recent meta analysis by Minocaro: https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/guide/296-ladder-s-meta
You get 1 practice pandora coin per day, if you don't have one already. It's free but you can't buy more practice coin.
Standard pandora coin costs 2000 gold each. Breakeven/profit threshold is average 3 wins per run (50% win rate).
For reroll decisions, check out the new legendary tier list
https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/guide/239-legendary-tierlist-updated-for-oversky
Generally it's good to reroll early on if you get a average or bad legendary. There is no pity timer but iirc you get 1 legendary every 20 chests or so. Epics are the hardest to accumulate actually because there are not many Legendary.
We actually have the release date, it's July 18th.
So basically you're absolutely right, if there is no urge to craft specific cards before 18th of July, just save memoria. It will net you 3 epics and 1 legendary per 65.
Tethra is not a very commonly played Legendary (and neither is Tarum). If you're a beginner, I would suggest you disenchant both of those in order to craft cards that you would like.
Some notes I tell all new Faeria players:
Find a deck that you would enjoy playing and climbing ranked with, because as a new player, resources are fairly hard to come by. I suggest Red Combat or Beastmaster Green.
Make sure to disenchant ALL your mythic cards! Even a few mythic rares will give a deceptively large amount of memoria to work with when crafting a new deck.
Make sure you join the Discord, it's the easiest place to ask questions and share decklists (the Faeria subreddit is not as active because most of the active players are already on Discord).
I wouldn't worry about pull rates if I were you, since the game is changing their economy model soon. If you want more information on the new economy model, read this announcement. Every Friday, the players get some updates on what is going on behind the scenes in the form of weekly announcements/blog posts.
Some of the top-players in Faeria figured out a way to play a Dream deck fairly consistant and it was incredibly powerfull and felt pretty hopeless to play against sometimes. Auroras Dream has for a long time been considered a "Fun" card that wasnt competitively viable, but some brilliant minds managed to cook up a good deck with it https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/deck/179-live-the-dream-by-sonneillon
Ranking in Pandora mode, is just for matchmaking, so it actually is somehow bad to get good ranks, because it becomes harder. Nothing else.
The ranks are reset at the first Monday of each month and you get a ranked rewards.
The available cards are actually only the core set, mythic cards are cards from the core set with golden borders. They can only be crafted and dropped from pretty high pandora runs, as far as i know.
Welcome to Faeria! Flash Salmon is unlocked with the Pirate's Aerie island of the Oversky. Here is a list of all the Oversky cards and which island they relate to. Oversky cards cannot be crafted or disenchanted. There are some major changes coming to Faeria's currency model next month, so be sure to check those posts, too.
Welcome back! Definitely check out Minocaro's recent Archetype guide here on the Hub. It's a thoughtful and comprehensive guide from an incredibly skilled competitive player. https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/guide/291-archetypes
> I don't believe we've seen a Faeria Friday about it yet, or maybe we did and I missed it.
I know this isn't the depth of information you're looking for, but we touched on this a few weeks ago in a Faeria Friday:
https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/188-faeria-friday-monkey-cup-recap >>> What is next? The Oversky is now completely released, and we're very proud of our work over this summer. Of course, our work is never done.
>>>"What's next?" doesn't take very long to be on the tip of everyone's lips - and we don't fault anyone for that. The human hunger for more information can rarely be fully sated.
>>>Our answer is that we will continue to work on improving the overall quality of Faeria, as always. This includes bug fixing, balance adjusting, and yes - creating new content to enjoy.
>>>It's a bit too early to be asking us when the "next" expansion is, but we'd for now like to say we have absolutely no plans to stop or slow down. Thanks for sticking along for the ride.
As soon as we have more exact details to share, we definitely will.
This used to work as you thought was expected, but was changed to make it more consistent. if you were to summon ninja toad in a turn before, then you would be able to transform it and trade.
You can read the patch note here https://www.faeria.com/news/patch-notes/57-patch-notes-june-30th-2016
Its not a bug. Well, it may not be the bug you think it is. Its actually just a UI interaction. When you play a creature, it falls onto the board from above. And there is a split second while its moving in which you can click that creature you just played if you aren't careful. Doing so will cause the effect to target the creature if possible, or cancel it if not possible (assuming the effect is cancellable)
Its really annoying. You should probably file a bug report, though I'm confident the devs are already aware of the issue and its probably on some to-do list somewhere. https://www.faeria.com/bugs
SuperToad. There aren't any decks quite like it in the game. Closest is GY haste, but that deck is far less greedy and far less likely to OTK, and where is the fun in that.
Well, if you're ever unsure of a link in a post, but you know the email domain is correct (we do, after all, own faeria.com) then type it directly into your To: field.
Alternatively, you can send details via https://www.faeria.com/bugs.
I can see that you, I presume, have also stated your issue on the Faeria boards so I'll ask the devs to check those details.
Just to be clear, we've recently updated Pandora rewards and I'd like to know if you're referring to either the rewards at release of Fall of Everlife, or the patch last week.
You can find a list of updated Pandora rewards here: https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/guide/3-what-is-pandora
The Shards you get are geared more towards purchasing Cosmetic upgrades. Once you have a complete card collection, you can use them to either:
A) Buy Mythic Chests for a shot at Mythic cards (same rule applies, once you have 3 of a given Mythic card, you will never get another copy of said card) and other cosmetic upgrades.
B) Save them up to buy the Cosmetics you REALLY want (I'm eyeing Magda's Set for instance).
C) Wager 2400 in another Mythic Pandora Run. The same principle applies as in Hearthstone's Arena here in that once you hit the 3-win mark, you've broken even in terms of investment vs. reward (plus a little extra, of course). Every win you get after 3 is pure profit.
Since you're new to the game, Shards certainly don't mean as much to you as they do to people who've been playing a long time. As a newcomer, you want regular Battle Chests, easily attainable in a myriad of different ways, to fill up your collection (that is, assuming you don't play Pandora exclusively).
In essence, when you're using Shards, it's because you've reached Faeria's endgame from a Collection standpoint. You're not working your way towards a solid card collection anymore. You're gold-plating your cards and decking out your Avatar. And as with any aspect of any game, there are multiple ways of going about that. In this case, the ways I listed above. Buying Mythic Chests provides the most instant gratification, but is certainly the least efficient way to go about it long-term.
And yeah, the 40 little eye tokens are Pandora Points. At the end of the season (the first Monday of the next month) you will receive greater rewards the more of these points you accumulate. These rewards are usually card backs, mythic chests, regular chests, or standalone regular or mythic cards.
Link to Season Rewards guide here: https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/guide/11-season-rewards
I have no idea about the playerbase, as I have not played in a long time, but this post from March 30th announced that they will be discontinuing support for the mobile clients: https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/221-faeria-friday-forward-to-the-future Sorry about that!
looks like you've been posting a lot recently about the new upcoming changes. please read through the links provided on this comprehensive summer content guide and it should answer most, if not all, your questions!
No, it is not difficult to get the cards you want. No, a lot of grinding is not required. The pricing got released today (oops, 4 days ago). $25 for the all of the cards currently released, $14 for the next expansion (2 months worth of new cards, released in July and Aug). $14 for a "premium" upgrade that gets you some cosmetics, gems, double xp, and other goodies.
https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/238-faeria-friday-have-a-question
Yes, though it's unclear to me if new players will have to buy the base game. Anyway, as an existing player, you won't have to buy anything to continue playing as now and your current in-game currencies will be converted to the new ones.
Basically, gold and memoria disappear, gems stay and work the same, and battle chests become the main currency (they'll be used to buy Pandora tickets and you'll get some by completing quests instead of gold).
If you open Battle chests to complete your collection, they'll now contain only four cards but no more duplicates, so you can get the cards you miss faster. If you have all commons, they'll give you rares, if you have all commons & rares, they'll give you epics, and if you have all of those, they'll give you legendaries. That's why people suggest crafting all the commons if you have enough memoria, and eventually rares too. I'd add that you should craft the important legendaries you miss if you can (see just below why).
Crafting cards will now be free but limited to one per 12 hours. You won't be able to craft legendaries, only get them in chests. Also, the rarities you can craft will depend on your level.
The future expansions will be released as DLC on Steam (that you can buy with real money only) and you can only get their new cards (from chests or craft) if you bought the related DLC.
The Oversky (the first expansion, released last year) will become free but you'll have to earn the cards by beating the bosses. So, if you want them quickly and have a ton of gold or gems, it's still time to buy the islands before the switch.
The switch from f2p to b2p will happen in june, with the release of the first DLC.
For more details, check the blog on faeria.com, especially The New Economy and Questions and Answers.
Faeria is dropping the free2play model to switch to a buy2play one. It will happen along the release of the next expansion, during june.
I'm not sure the base game will have to be bought (if you already have an account, it'll be free in any case, from what I've understood) but the upcoming expansions will be sold as DLC.
The current in-game currencies are dropped too, except for gems. Battle chests will become the main in-game currency for secondary content (quests will reward chests, you'll buy Pandora tickets with chests and so on) and won't be buyable anymore. The content of chests will change too: you'll only have 4 cards in them but no more duplicates, so people are suggesting crafting all the commons so that you only get rares when you open one (or epics if you have all commons & rares, or legendaries if you have all commons & rares & epics).
Crafting will change too, as you'll only be able to craft one card every 12 hours. But it'll be free. You won't be able to craft legendaries, so I'd suggest crafting the good ones you miss while it's possible if you have enough memoria.
For more details, check the blog on faeria.com, especially The New Economy and Questions and Answers.
Make sure to follow us on https://www.twitch.tv/faeriatv to be notified when we go live.
Everyone watching will have a chance to win prizes just by watching and linking their Twitch account to Faeria. And yes, Eggs will be one of those prizes, with a hatching period scheduled for this weekend.
Link your Twitch account to Faeria by going here: https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/user
The English stream will be hosted by Aquablad, skorch, Atmaz, Zorni, zaldinfox, Cappuccino, and Luuu. Korean and Italian streams will also be available.
It's not exactly a bug if the UI for it hasn't even appeared yet and you click. Obviously it would be better for the UI to appear faster, but calling it a bug isn't really correct.
If you really care that much though, file a bug report.
I think most of the responders covered things well. Pandora is where the best value is. I think crafting cards is pretty fair as well. I would focus on a deck or play style and work towards building that to start.
There are lots of good, competitive decks to target through building your collection and crafting. To start I think a budget green, a burn red, or a yellow rush deck are good targets. All can be made relatively cheaply and somewhat competitive. Hell, Alvar just won the monthly cup with a pretty straight forward green deck.
https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/article/68-monthly-cup-recap-xv
May the good yak smile upon you! GL, have fun!
Cool, I added you in game.
I don't think they have released an expansion schedule, other than the expansion that they have already started rolling out as of this week with the introduction of world bosses (solo challenge content). Each week we get a new world boss, which increase in difficulty each week.
They will also be rolling out cooperative adventure and boss modes as well as 30 new cards this summer. You can read more here: https://www.faeria.com/adventure-pouch/pre-order/
Also, an unrelated fyi that if you haven't assigned a recruiter yet, make sure you do so before you hit level 15 so you can get some free packs, pandora coins, etc. as you level up. Feel free to use me (then I get rewards too :)

A wrote a guide on the doomgate sac list I took to godrank a couple of seasons ago.
Little outdated but most of the principles remain the same.
You get it right away, I stumbled across it yesterday. You have to go to this link and log in with your account: https://www.faeria.com/adventure-pouch/pre-order/buy/
Go to bottom there should be a tab to adopt your yak. Pick the one you want and it will show up in your game. May take about 10mins or so.
They'll implement a discount later on. It's mentioned here: https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/90-the-journey-continues
>Please note: Right now, anyone who buys a Set will be charged the full price. In the future we plan to modify this so that if you already own an item in a set (for example, you own the avatar but nothing else) you will see a price for the Set which removes 80% of the cost of any already-owned item. We won’t be able to retroactively provide this discount - so make sure to wait for it if that’s what you desire.
Absolutely, we wanted to get a clear message out about our direction intention for Pandora. Jiem took the time today to write up a lot of the philosophy behind Pandora and why a lot of the designs exist. Please take the time to read it here: https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/45-faeria-friday-may-27th-2016-artifacts-and-you
You're welcome! :) Regarding your Legendaries: I already thought so. And I'm pretty sure I did the exact same thing when I started playing Faeria, including Legendary cards just because I got them recently and thought that they are cool. Many of them only fit into very specific decks, though.
I also agree about how bad it feels to get lore pages from Mythic Chests. Maybe they should be a randomized bonus to the 4 items every once in awhile.
About building the deck I posted: This is neither the best, nor the easiest deck to play. It was just an example. If you really want to keep playing green and have a competetively viable deck, go for something like this: https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/deck/3618-pure-nature
The only cards I think a F2P player could be upset about is Havoc and Baldurion because red has answers to even Mono Green now and Hammer burst damage is easy mode. https://www.faeria.com/news/patch-notes/239-fall-of-everlife-cards I expect Faeria to be healthier than ever.
Prices are out already. Expansion will be 13.99, base game 24.99 (local prices apply). You can check the latest Faeria Friday for that.
For cards, takes a while in the current system. Not too grindy tho, and will be much easier after 18th with the economy overhaul.
This is a list of decks, which are pretty strong right now imo: Yellow Rush, Yellow Tempo, Red Combat, Green Yellow Sacrifice, Blue Red Gemshell, Green Midrange
You can search for variations of these decks here: https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/decks
For a beginner I'd recommend Green Midrange or Red Combat because they are pretty straight forward. Although Yellow Rush is cheap to craft and might be worth playing too as you will face it alot and you learn how to play against it by playing it yourself.
Khalim used to be really popular in a yellow tempo lists. It has fallen out of the meta a bit as a result of oversky making a 3/6 body a lot worse. Its still playable though.
Do a Google search for the card name like this:
Azure Skywhale site:www.faeria.com/the-hub/card
And you'll get a hit like this: https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/card/505-azure-skywhale
Take the number right before the name (505 in this case) and then go to: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/abrakam/Faeria_Cards/master/CardExport/English/505.png
Just substitute 505
with whatever number you got for the card you wanted to see the highres art for.
Hey Spiral! Glad you found Faeria :)
I'll start with the end of your OP - Pandora mode is indeed the best way to move ahead in terms of gold and packs. It will not teach you how to play like casual/ranked would since the treasure cards have a big random effect and tend to skew games where skill isn't as important as top decking. Check this page for anything related to Pandora - https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/guide/3-what-is-pandora
If you have the time my advice is doing Pandora practice runs, they don't cost anything and can get you a full coin to play the regular draft after you've won 3 runs.
I've had an explosive start like other veterans because in the past, Abrakam gave dozens of chests to everyone at one point and there were 2-3 active coupons (that aren't usable now) that gave a bunch of more chests - so I've never struggled with getting cards just because of that. But I would say this - I don't think there's a dead zone in Faeria. Game is very generous, it's easy to level up and you get a card (that you don't have full set of) each 10 levels, some of the best cards I've got were from this feature alone. You can also get extra packs and cosmetics from adding a recruiter - learn about recruitment (if you want you can add me - Amorphism in-game). Goki has already been suggested so +1 on that - best deal in the game imo.
Lastly, I don't think buying the Oversky islands is a good way for a beginner to get ahead. There are very powerful cards there for sure, some staples now, but they compliment the core cards more than standing on their own. You'll find it difficult running a multi-colored deck - which is what OS push towards - without the basic essential cards. And if you watch some tournaments you'll see that the best decks have much more core cards than Oversky. Try getting some essentials cards (which ones is a topic of its own) before working on buying the highly expensive islands.
Use gold to buy the islands for the new Oversky cards. You need 38k gold in total.
Information regarding which islands give which card:
https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/174-treasures-of-the-oversky
Crystal Flower and probably Frog Tosser are the best new ones. Some of them have been nerfed so the numbers and descriptions here are not entirely correct.
For current meta, look at the latest monthly cup decks. Search for "MC" on the hub deck section. Or look here:
https://boards.faeria.com/t/monthly-cup-recap-xv/9142
Yellow (blue splash) Tempo and Red Combat are the best decks in the game right now. Yellow rush is really strong too.
"Does the future look bright for this game?"
I think so. They just had an expansion, and from what I can tell, people seem happy.
"Does it have a healthy metagame? Have the devs been pretty good at addressing problems/concerns that the community has?"
The meta is usually great, the devs are amazing. Basically every time the community has concerns about a card, the devs address it well.
"On a similar note, what are the biggest problems with the game right now?"
Crystal Flower. Nerfed twice in the past month or 2, and it's STILL in most decks. I expect another nerf soon, though at least it's more tolerable right now than it was prenerf.
I hope these answers are satisfactory, and that you enjoy the game. :)
Looks like we DON'T actually know the exact number. Now it's saying "over 30 cards" here https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/174-treasures-of-the-oversky
SO, I wonder if that means the nine that are revealed are not part of the 30 count. Anyway we'll see! But that's exciting to know that we'll be getting over 30, when originally I just thought it was exactly 30.
Just to confirm, this is correct. From the March 24th reveal and news post:
>>>Those 30 new cards will be obtainable from the upcoming co-op campaign that will consist of 6 quests packs. This campaign will be unlockable with in-game gold or gems, but you don't have to do that - it is entirely included in the Supporter's Adventure Pouch!
And our Adventure Pouch FAQ located here:
>>>Is the Co-op Campaign pre-order exclusive?
>>>The Co-op Campaign is neither pre-order, nor Adventure pouch exclusive. Players will have the opportunity to purchase it when it launches through in-game gold and gems. However, the Co-op Limited Boss Battle that will take place throughout the Adventure Pouch is exclusive to the owners of the Adventure Pouch.
Although the "Pioneer Pouch" reads "Get ... access to the Oversky’s exciting new content", the 30 cards are marked by the tiny blue line indicating that they are not part of the Pioneer Pouch.
https://www.faeria.com/adventure-pouch/pre-order/
Abrakam's announcements are confusing.
Super T1 has to be lvl 10 now, it changed Friday.
https://www.faeria.com/news/patch-notes/138-patch-notes-march-15th-2017-preparing-for-the-reveal
They wanted to make it a little harder and more rewarding.
Also how do I see my recruits and their lvls? I didn't know that was a thing.
We wrote a bit about this a few weeks ago in a news post. You can find it here: https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/124-preparing-to-launch
Scroll down to "Rolling out the iPad version."
In short, we plan to have full iOS availability on the day 1.0 is released in March.
All the information is there: https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/96-how-to-egg
To sum it up, you can get an egg avatar through various promotions and giveaways, e.g. by watching the monthly Faeria tournament that is broadcasting right now on Twitch. You can get various rewards but there's no guarantee you'll get an egg, or even any reward besides one blue chest that is automatically awarded after watching the stream for a certain time. Be sure to read the article for the giveaway requirements, don't just go on Twitch and watch the stream.
Once you have an egg, it will eventually hatch during the monthly cup week-end and give you a Yak avatar. There are currently three of them (the farmer, the gentleman and the hippie). Be aware that you'll lose the egg avatar in the process.
https://www.twitch.tv/heyitsdross/v/61201361 Here is the VOD of the other stream. We took some of the feedback that we got and started discussing decks between the matches and also had a great interview with MrCubez about his team "Draco-Deus" (who got 3 members in the finale next week) That Vod will be uploaded seperatly aswell, so keep an eye out for that.
Ofcourse, also for us, feedback is still important, so for those few who did watch the stream, we would love to know what you thought.
Both Luuu and DeVouwer were quite dominant in all of their games that I watched. Luuu just seemed to casually stride through the entire thing, and DeVouwer's Blue vs Sweety's Blue/Green match was an amazing watch. It felt fitting that they end up in the finals.
Grats again to Luuu. Can't wait for the next one!
Hi homanh! Thanks for reporting this. I sent the link to Atmaz the community manager. If you encounter other bugs in the future, you can post it here https://www.faeria.com/bugs :)
If you have any additional information you can share about how this bug appears, that would be great!
What OS are you using? Thanks!
Yes, I think this is right, according to this article. https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/289-faeria-friday-treasures-of-gagana
I actually thought that it was one, originally, without reading that article. Now thinking about it... I feel like discover isn't the best word for this ability, because technically you are discovering three cards, but only choosing one... Anyway.
For example, with the card Barter you'll discover three cards from your opponent's deck and then you choose just one of them to add to your hand.
You get a free battle chest every time you level up so it shouldn't take too long, another way to farm chests is to play wild missions.
The new yaks for foe actually have not been released yet, they come on 21st. So that's expected.
https://www.faeria.com/news/patch-notes/239-fall-of-everlife-cards
I think some of those reviews are sarcastic as I believe they know that it’s not longer available but still say that the “update” isn’t working.
Anyway, I found the article that mobile was being cancelled. https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/221-faeria-friday-forward-to-the-future
March 30th. This was also the same article that said they’d be transitioning. Although I think the cancel of it came a little before the actual transition, you’re right, it’s around the same time. For some reason, I thought that it was much longer ago.
Standard and mythic pandora are the same thing really. If you have all the cards already, what else can you get, other than mythics? You can still play solo pandora and breakeven on 1 win/run
https://www.faeria.com/bugs If you could report the issue here with a screenshot of the error message that would be really helpfull! Support generally does not work on the weekend though so it might take untill monday that you get your ticket answered.

Definitely check out Minocaro's recent Archetype Guide as a framework to build beginner decks from. Mid-range mono-green is a great starting point, while Yellow Rush is fairly budget, too, if you prefer aggressive decks. I showcase some decks on my channel MatrienMaru, though most of my recent ones have been... unconventional, ha. Once the expansion hits, I'll be sharing my attempts at more competitive decks. Have fun and welcome (back?) to Faeria!
The meta feels pretty good to me, if a bit stale. The game isn't really changing much, because we're at the end of the expansion cycle (I can't wait for the new expansion this month!). But overall, I think things are doing well.
As for common decks, I don't really know, I haven't been keeping track recently. I've seen quite a bit of Red Combat.
By the way you should probably use this new deck tracker.
Taken from the Faeria Friday post about the transition:
"The Oversky will now come completely free with the base version of Faeria.
Cards are now unlocked by proceeding through the missions rather than by purchasing islands.
The first island begins unlocked, the other islands unlock when you complete the first island."
Definitely better to keep your gold since you'll get the islands unlocked after the changes.
Here's the full post for all the info https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/228-faeria-friday-the-new-economy
> It looks like I still have the core set (except I don't recognize a lot of the art anymore)
>If I buy all of the Oversky islands with gold, would that complete my collection or are there other expansions?
if you bought the core set of cards previously, you need to buy the oversky islands (~36k gold) only. it will complete your collection.
>but I keep hearing about Adventure Pouch and Oversky
oversky is an expansion consisting of some cards and co-op missions. pouch was a time limited promotion, you cant buy it anymore.
>0 purple
not sure what you mean by that
>I also randomly have 8 chests. Any point in opening these if I already have a full core set?
not really unless if any of them are mythic chests. mythic chests usually contains cosmetics along with mythic cards. also, you can open those chests and disenchant the extra cards for crafting mythic versions of your favorite cards.
>I also have an egg. Did they ever reveal what eggs do? It was weirdly cryptic when I last played.
yak avatar
>Finally, what is the rainbow symbol under card costs?
The Oversky introduced a new type of land requirement: Wild. Wild land requirements appear as a ‘rainbow colored’ requirement where land costs normally appear on a card. Wild land requirements can be satisfied by possessing any one of the four existing special lands: Mountain, Lake, Desert, or Forest.
There are no active codes that still work, I think....
Otherwise, there was the release of the first expansion, Oversky. It is associated with a series of co-operative (friend or AI) challenges against an AI with different board configurations and special conditions/challenges. The first island is free and you need to beat the challenges to get the cards. Otherwise, the rest of the islands (2-5) cost 9500 gold each and instantly unlock a group of cards. These expansion cards are pretty prominent in the Meta atm so you probably want to spend some gold to get them.
The faeria hub (https://www.faeria.com/the-hub) is where most people post their decks and is the best place to see what current meta decks look like. Aquablad has been doing deck doctors that review current meta decks as well (also posted to the hub). There was a recent balance patch and they announced a regular schedule for balance adjustments and that they are also working on the next set of new cards.
Cool list you got there. I also don't netdeck. But looking at others' decks, especially the good ones, do help me in brewing better. I started out as a red/neutral rush budget player, then moved to budget Crackthorn, then to non-Wish 4-color Control, and then to my own take of yellow rush.
Blue-yellow really is a fun archetype to play, so I see where you're coming from. I recently made a list with Leaping Fugu and Manta Rider. It's fun and can be pretty skill extensive especially when playing against rush.
https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/deck/2047-by-fugu-midrange-ms-7
As far as I know, that specific feature is not available. If you are looking to netdeck something cheap to craft and powerful, you can try this deck: (here)[https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/deck/236-beginner-yellow-rush]
https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/deck/2108-mcxiv-4th-choke-gb-tempo
Crystal flower and Wood elemental have both been nerfed since this list was played in the monthly cup but this is a good place to start.
https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/deck/2150-curious-sky-yak
Here is a link to the hub entry I made for the deck. I'm not confidant the current list is optimal so feel free to play around with the numbers. You can message me on discord or reddit if you have any suggestions for the list you want to talk about.
https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/article/60-metashaker-deckbuilding-contest-7-oversky-week-3 this will be the next one for island #4
just submit your deck to the link in that post, most people build the decks on the hub, but it would be appreciated to add a screenshot for when I review since we don't have all cards yet on the hub
From our update earlier this year: https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/158-faeria-friday-quest-for-fluff
> When will the Plush Yak Pillows arrive at my door? >>If you've ordered the Collector's Pouch, your plushie will ship within 3 to 4 weeks of when the Adventure Pouch launches this summer. While having them walk to your door would save on shipping, we're going to use more conventional means in order to ensure they arrive in one piece.
We know it comes as a surprise. However, today only the Emperor's Challenge becomes available and the Adventure Pouch opens. The first new cards and islands begin next Tuesday.

Regarding Memoria, I think you misunderstand: All Oversky cards come from the islands themselves, which are purchasable in gold or gems. You cannot craft them or find them in Battle Chests.
You can find this and more in the FAQ:
https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/177-adventure-pouch-oversky-faq
Would't the picture on this site be the biggest there is of it? (and best quality)
https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/172-faeria-friday-when-yaks-fly
Can't find anything other tbh, you might have to wait till the expansion it out....and even then it might never come in 4k.
congrats on hitting godrank. My most recent tested version of SuperToad is https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/deck/172-supertoad
Regarding our differences...
Earthcraft : Earthcraft is almost as important to draw as ninja toad in a lot of matchups. Its true that the second/third earthcraft is much worse than the first, but the first is often the difference between winning a race and losing a race.
Frogify : You should not need this card. Shifting tides and toads should be plenty to push through if your opponent is turtling as long as you are skilled enough to find the lines.
Gaeas Grace : I'm skeptical that this inefficient buff is actually worth playing. It might be though. It doesn't work with the typical otk of two oakling + two gain 4 health buff + toad + enchant.
Windfall : It is a bad card now. Its just straight up worse than ruunin's shrine. I run 1 in my list to support wisdom cycling. (and 3 shrine)
All in all, glad you had fun with the deck.
Depends whether you want to be competitive and climb to god rank now. If not, I would wait on crafting and just learn the cards. Don't craft anything until you are sure what decks you like to play. Memoria are very hard to come by and epics are expensive, and there are so many of them.
What rank are you now? Do you like pandora? Save up gold to do solo missions and pandora. That's most efficient in building up your card collection. If you are good at pandora already, do as many normal runs as possible to take advantage of the easy matchmaking initially. Othewise, do a practice run everyday to learn.
https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/guide/114-beginners-guide-what-to-craft
This is good for what to craft. Blue Jump and Yellow Events/Tempo are relatively cheap in memoria if you want to climb to god rank straightaway, they are also the strongest decks around. Crackthorn is easy to play but more expensive to craft.
Check out youtube and twitch videos to learn and see some amazing plays from top players. luuu90's stuff are great.
Read this too, general advice for beginners
https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/guide/93-getting-started-in-faeria-what-should-i-do-faq
https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/deck/1200-aurora-s-mill Rebuilt it online for you. This is all blue and the Emperors command isnt up yet so i put healing song in its place. Radiance is really good though if you have one. That and a reaver can really swing things. Running windfall is a good options besides the expiriments and then you can swap the plaguebearers with mochi. if you keep up the red mill just grab the Radiance and maybe stick some creation instead of the ogres and water ele to get you the lakes faster maybe. Frogify is always strong too.
Well there is this https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/deck/339-red-ranged ... though personally I would find a Shedim Brute, Gift of Steel/Barracks and Cannon Carrier combo more interesting. Possibly with a bit of yellow mobility. Not sure how competitive that would be though :D
I understand the frustration, especially if, as a "new player" you encounter a series of opponents rushing at you one way or another. Still, if the problem seems to be really just facing a rushing opponent, then you are not the only one, nor the first, to face it... Did you check The Hub and its guides?
Depending on what deck you are playing, of course, you have some options to deal with an aggro opponent... What are you playing? Perhaps the redditors here can provide some hints on how they would start a match with your deck (or your deck archetype)
There is a pinned thread on top of the Steam forum:
"Bug Reporting
If you wish to report a bug, please do not do so in the Steam Community Hub. Report it via the official bug reporting page on our website https://www.faeria.com/bugs remembering to include the following information in the description:
Thanks for your help with this, it helps us manage bugs, issues, and suggestions better."
Hey There!
Here is a guide about eggs and how to get them and hatch them! Those are you main ways to get Yaks, I'm pretty sure.
I'm not sure about mythic chests. They might have Yak avatars as well, but I'm not certain. They may only have the regular avatars that you can purchase from the store. Maybe. Good luck getting them :)
I am not sure how it is now, but it used to be that buying the solo content with gems was more efficient then gold. Also maybe invest some gems in Goki, he's worth it over time.
If you enjoy playing Pandora that's a good place to spend gold. Packs are also good to be purchased with gold.
Cosmetics are better bought with gems (the sets are purely cosmetic), I wouldn't disenchant too aggressively. You can find decks and guides on the Faeria Hub.
If you want to be max efficient you should disenchant all cards that currently give full dust refund, since they were recently nerfed.
Short to remember: Buy packs and pandora with gold | Buy solo content and cosmetics with gems | Hire Goki to get more gold for little gems
The Warstorm champion decks struggle really hard against huge creatures (Apex, Voice of Hunger) so try to play one of those against it :) I think VoH is easier to pull off than Apex, Apex are usually not big enough.
But I suppose its only a matter of time until they start teching deathtouch into the decks :) https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/deck/185-voice-of-hunger-anti-warstorm-video
https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/deck/185-voice-of-hunger-anti-warstorm-video
We all remember the shadows uprising caused by the balance patch the third of February 2017.
From all this chaos, the tier one Warstorm Champion deck was born.
The red green terror has since dominated the ladder..
But today we will stop the oppression! We wont go quietly anymore, we are THE VOICE OF HUNGER!
It's been a long time since the kickstarter.
I can't tell you very much about why they changed the business system (no paying for cards), as these decisions were made by experts.
(here you see what actually changed: https://www.faeria.com/KS_Rewards_Update.pdf)
Further, all the elements that made the game hard - and as others might say - deep, like gold, the day cycle and the bigger board didn't quite fit into the system of Faeria being "easy to learn, hard to master", since it was obviously not easy to learn.
If you read through the steam reviews, most are positive, but those that are negative are negative mostly because of that.
I do think the decision that the team made was correct and we actually had a great start on steam. You have to form yourself and opinion, but personally, I think Faeria turned out better than it was while having the kickstarter. :)
> because I really don't think the last balance patch skewed things that horribly.
You might enjoy checking out Kripp's first match, after the patch hit.
What's the first thing he does after he realizes Red/Yellow got nerfed?.. He builds a Green/Blue deck of course! ;3
Hey, here are the two Vods of the other stream: https://www.twitch.tv/sho7gun/v/60969273 https://www.twitch.tv/sho7gun/v/61066299 (apparently I got a short disconnect in between there, but I didn't really notice it as I was too busy casting)
And of course me and Dross would also love some constructive feedback, as it will only help us improve on the casting.
Keep at it, this game rewards you the more you play it. And it’ll teach you strategy and critical thinking far better than any classroom could.
As for decks that would be easy to understand, I would recommend Red Burn.
They did come every two months, but not anymore: https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/263-faeria-friday-november-and-onward
I sincerely recommend you buying both DLCs, almost every archetype has gotten something in them (no love for red burn though).
And yes, welcome back indeed :)
That's right, it needs a small buff first, the card is mentioned on this page: https://www.faeria.com/news/patch-notes/248-patch-notes-fall-of-everlife-part-2
"Lion Fish has the power of Deathtouch, but Deathtouch won't work if it doesn't do any damage. It's up to you to decide how you'd like to give it a little venom."
Since some people in the comments don't seem to know it yet; the Pandora rewards were recently changed.
The current rewards are the following (PP = Pandora Points):
With the new update, you'll get lots of cards just by playing, crafting is only done over time (craft any 2 cards per day). To learn try playing ranked and see what cards and strats work well against you, other players are the best resource to learn from, and first hand experience is the best.
It's hard to give you specific tips without knowing your skill, playstyles, flaws, decks.
You can find decks here: https://www.faeria.com/the-hub/decks
If you want to learn from pros, search for the tournaments/finals on youtube.
> “What about missions packs? What will they cost?”
>
>Mission packs will now be completely free, with slightly lower rewards to compensate for this.

As of this official Faeria Friday blog post the base game "Faeria Classic Edition" will launch with a discount of 10\%, lowering the price to $22.49 until August 21st.
You should also check out Minocaro's Archetype Guide. I also play some fun meme decks on my channel if you're interested. I'll be ramping up content when the expansion hits, too. Either way, welcome back to Faeria!
As was mentioned, they've discontinued the mobile support unfortunately so no newer updates will be pushed to the mobile versions. You can read more about it in this post https://www.faeria.com/news/announcements/221-faeria-friday-forward-to-the-future
None besides personal w/l spreadsheets that players have. Even decklists are rarely an exact match for Faeria. People often swap around tech cards.
As for pointers, twitch and discord are better bets. The reddit is not the best place for this, it's mostly new player queries and bug reports.
General deck types, there are no stats but mino (who wrote this) raced from 10 to god with path to face yesterday. He absolutely crushed it
