I just left nwa a few weeks ago and visited about 7 hiking spots. That's said, my favorite hike there was Lost Valley Trail by Kingston, roughly an hour and more drive from Fayetteville. On mobile but here's the alltrails link
https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/arkansas/lost-valley-trail
When you reach the end, crawl into the cave about 20 yards and it'll spit you into a good size 60ft tall cavern with a waterfall. It's magnificent. Take a headlight or flashlight
Hijacking this since its at the top - sorry.
But OZG is AMAZING, I've had it for nearly 6mo and never had an outage. I have my router & modem hooked up to a UPS and even when my power goes out, the internet is still up and working. With COX I was having weekly outages and high packet-loss.
With COX I was going over my 1TB limit every month, with OZG I'm using nearly 5TB monthly and they dont have any issue with it, I love them. They also dont have any restrictions on what you can host from your home (At least that I know of)
OZG is peered to Dallas, KC, and Chicago meaning you'll get some awesome pings to any data-centers in those areas. I get ~15ms ping to any data-center in Dallas and 30ms to Chicago. It's amazing. I couldn't recommend then enough
I pine for H-Mart.
And for everyone grumbling about public transpo, here's a survey from regional planning where you can tell them what you want:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3QQRW8Z
(yeah it's surveymonkey, but it's linked in the sidebar from nwarpc.)

It probably won't stick, it was almost 60 today. Roads are too warm. Maybe a good little dusting.
I think changing up zoning codes and allowing more (as well as denser) housing construction and more walkable elements in neighborhoods would help alleviate housing prices. With more affordable housing built as well you drive down homelessness.
Not to say that taxation isn’t an appropriate method in many cases, but the issue isn’t that the county doesn’t have enough to operate.
The problem is that the correct remedy for bringing down housing costs hasn’t been implemented.
In Rogers near the Dixieland Mall, there's this family owned Mexican bakery called Panaderia Vega or Vega's Bakery. They make fresh stuff each morning, it's delicious, and it's stupidly cheap. Once, I went with a friend to grab a bakery-based dinner for the two of us, spent $2.50 total, and we were so full we had to try giving away what was left over. (just keep in mind that it's a Mexican bakery, not an American bakery; don't expect it to be what you're used to getting from bakeries)
In downtown Rogers, there's a little car hop called Susie-Q Malt Shop. They're stuff is absolutely delicious and perfect for any time you're in the area and want to check out other places downtown.
The first Friday each month in Bentonville, there's always a big event called First Friday. I'm not entirely sure how that goes down, but apparently it runs all day and it's really popular.
Bentonville and Rogers are also great places to go Geocaching! If you're not familiar with it, geocaching is essentially modern-day treasure hunting. It's great fun, and there's a ton of them in the area. I would recommend waiting until cooler weather, though.
And if you're a real adventurer, go to the Bentonville library. There's a certain small, old book near the back that lists out and describes locations of urban legends of hidden treasures around Northwest Arkansas. There's some that are rumored to be hidden in different locations around Beaver Lake, left by people like Jesse James (who did have a history of storing money in different, odd locations, and was known to be in Northwest Arkansas (one of his sweethearts was in Siloam Springs)). The book has more specifics on that. It's doubtful you'll find anything at all (even if there really is hidden treasure in the bluffs), but it could be a fun day trip with a couple of friends. Find the book, search for legendary treasure for a while, and go swimming/fishing/boating.
My gf recommends the Find Me Gluten Free app. They have a map that will let you search for specific types of food. She personally likes Pei Wei. She also said she thinks Wagyu has a GF menu.

Feel free to DM me and I can give you some of our recipes for different homemade GF dishes that we like!
Not Fayetteville but I'm going to a comedy show at The Grove up in Rogers, it's David Gborie, he's on the podcast All Fantasy Everything and is really funny.
Piggybacking my own comment:
If you're savvy enough, you might be able to get away with replacing your home internet and TV with an unlimited data plan from T-Mobile $70, Sprint $60, MetroPCS $60, Cricket $60, or some other provider. From your cellular device, you'd Miracast or AirPlay to a TV with whatever TV/video streaming services you want (including TV such as Sling and Vue) and use wired/wireless tethering to your computer if supported- as in the case of T-Mobile at least.
This is something of a workaround but it can save some people a lot of money or free you from land-based ISPs if you're really sick of Cox/ATT. It's got caveats but it's a workable solution for some.
Well, I went the traditional route, I guess, in that I took French all through high school and college, so my education was formal. That said, what helped me outside the classroom was turning on the French audio track for movies I was already very familiar with. Watching French news also helped.
I have no experience with Rosetta Stone, so I can't offer any advice there. However, the public library has a partnership with Mango Languages, which offers free, guided lessons in many languages (I hope to learn Gaelic this way). There are other free online resources like DuoLinguo, and some schools offer free online courses in core subjects.
Either way, getting a tutor wouldn't be a bad idea. After all, not only can that person provide instruction, but he/she could converse with you, and conversations are critical to learning not only the language but the nuances of things like cadence and intonation.
Edit: I think Mango Languages is only free if you access it through your library, and that only requires a library card/account (which is free or cheap, depending on which one you get).
Hopefully, some of the comments are from people who haven't used T-mobile in a while. They have added a ton of Band 71 antenna arrays all over NWA and elsewhere. Band 71 is in the 600mhz band - formerly used for TV stations, which had to vacate that band recently to allow mobile providers to use it; namely, T-mobile, who won the Band 71 auctions. Band 71 is more robust than other mobile phone bands and can travel much farther. I switched to it recently and get service where friends on vzw do not. I also love the wi-fi calling.
Of course, it all depends on where the towers are that you need to use.
Get a Mint Mobile Starter Kit. It has a SIM good for about a week of mobile service and uses the T-mobile network. If you like it, sign up for Mint or directly with T-mobile. https://www.amazon.com/Mint-Mobile-Starter-Verify-Compatibility/dp/B0786RD524
So my hitch is actually 1.25in. The bike rack I got was this one. I wish I would have bought the 4 bike rack so I could take more friends.

You're the one in here saying you don't see any evidence of racism, and debating random internet people under the guise of trying to learn.
Simply put, I don't believe you.
But if you really do want to learn and see why racism actually still does exist - start here. I predict you'll either not read up on it or debate their expertise with your lack of expertise. But here you go - https://pulitzercenter.org/sites/default/files/full_issue_of_the_1619_project.pdf
I have Keens, best $200 I spent. But, mine are specialized, EH with composite.
Here
What happens when you plug them in? Do they make any noise at all, do they spin up, do the lights come one? You might just need to pull the drives and plug them into something like this and recover your files. Its also possible the drives are toast and you'll have to send the platters off for recovery but that cost thousands of dollars.
Yeah, it was insane. It didn't get above twenty-five degrees for like 10 days in a row and we had three or four snow storms with zero daytime melting to the point that some places had three feet of snow, never mind the snowdrifts. Don't worry about it getting that cold ever though, it's really an anomaly. But we do get cold snaps down into the teens and even single digits every couple of years or so.
Oh, another thing I recommend is a decent pair of hiking or work boots, and removable ice grippers for the soles. Something like this: Yaktrax Pro Traction Cleats for Snow and Ice, Black, Medium https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0094GO6ZG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_JHFRxbX28F63W
You may not need them this winter or on campus at all (they're pretty good about snow and ice removal), but in four years they'll definitely come in handy. With all of the hills and the low winter time sun, there are patches of thick ice all over town for awhile after every snow and/or ice event.
Here.1 in back, 3 up front. I doubt it's a heat issue though as I haven't had any problems with overheating with this case. I'll try and explain how it shuts off a little further. I'll launch CSGO and be in the menus and all that just fine, no problems. Find a match and the second the load screen is done, it shuts off. I hope that makes sense. So I figure either the GPU is failing, even though Powercolor tested this one for 3 hours and said it was fine, or the PSU is failing.
E: Really it's the fact that it seems to be so random that I find so odd. I just launched CSGO and got into a match and it didn't crash. If it was the GPU I would think it would the crashing would be consistent.
