Jumping on to the ear plugs comment - tinnitus isn't fun. Wish I had worn some from the get-go when I started going to shows... checks calendar back in the 90s.
I now wear a generic pair of concert ear plugs that I typically forget I'm wearing about 5 min. after putting them in. Sound wise, I notice nearly zero acoustic difference. But holy shit the post-show difference is incredible, no more underwater sound for the next day or two.
I have a feeling the past year is going to give them some real inspiration for a new record! I wouldn't bet against another coming out soon.

Great compilation on Fat cat's 130701 indeed. Next to the usual suspects also awesome tracks by up-and-comers Olivier Alary, Resina and of course Ian William Craig, who is releasing 'Centres' in a few weeks.
But 'Barn Levitate' is the best thing on it, and the very last track we aired last Friday, just before summer break, as a 'bonus' to some of our favourite music from the first half of this year. Uploaded the radio show this morning (in Dutch): https://www.mixcloud.com/Sterrenplaten/sterrenplaten-24-juni-2016-mid-year-roundup-2016/
Also I don't mean literally the first press, I was hoping it would be this one. Any chance it is?
I was centre and about 10ft from front and these kept my ears in top form all night. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00AL2UH0U/ref=pe_27063361_487055811_TE_dp_1?th=1 even the warm-up drummer was a bit uncomfortable without some ear protection so hope all those around me without any are OK this morning.
Ending the night on World Police going into BBF3 was amazing.
Hi,
if you need a stage plot app, I suggest you to try this app for ANDROID:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pelix.stageplot
It is totally FREE and NO-ADS, helps you to build clear, readable stage plots in order to communicate your band's technical requirements to a sound engineer. You can build a collection of stage plots for different kinds of situations, then print or send them by email/whatsapp/other, directly from your mobile device.
I'm the author of this app, so if you have questions and/or suggestion, write me:

I get what you mean about more padding. Do you think this would help?

Also, what’s that one you have on the far right?
I’ve been to a couple of their shows now - all with earplugs except one (when I just forgot). I actually found it less enjoyable without the earplugs cause I could feel my ears just kinda hurting and it’s all I could think about. But yeah the other shows I had them it all sounded fantastic and could still hear the solos beautifully.
I would say at least bring them and if you really hate it, you can take them out. But at least give yourself the option to have them or not, than to not at all.
I use music specific earplugs where they are designed to protect your ears without necessarily losing the quality of sound. Might be something you’re interested in. I bring them to any show and it’s worth it IMO https://www.amazon.com/Hearprotek-Reduction-Protection-Musicians-Nightclub/dp/B08PBQFQH6/
the hardest to find would probably be the first pressing of "f#a#". the artwork is ever-so-slightly different from all subsequent pressings. it was limited to 500 copies (which were numbered). the sleeves were all hand cut and the envelope that has all the inserts has an acetone transfer print on it whereas subsequent pressings were usually blank. the photo glued to the cover was also an original dark-room print as opposed to a mass digital copy.
examples can be found here: https://www.discogs.com/Godspeed-You-Black-Emperor-F-A-/release/84955
all of the releases are kept in print to keep down "collector's pricing". which is also why you don't see them doing colored vinyl variants like a lot of post rock bands.
