This thing is a miracle. I never realized such a simple recipe could produce something so good. At first I tried the basic chaffle recipe which is:
That basic chaffle recipe was very tasty. it had some saltiness from the cheese and tasted like a nice crispy cheesy waffle. Slight hint of egg but not overbearing at all. These would be great if you let them cool and used them to make a sandwich or as a burger bun.
Then I decided to try adding 2tbsp of Salted Caramel Keto Chow to that same mix above... and wow. No egg taste at all, and the cheese flavor was reduced a lot also. It came out as a fluffy, sweet waffle. This would be great for breakfast with some sugar free syrup. These taste WAY better than carbquick wafles, and much simpler to make. These are the waffles i'll be making for breakfast from now on whenever I want a treat.
Total macros for this whole recipe (Two 4" waffles):
*Edit: Here's the waffle maker I used. It's the perfect size for chaffles. Only $9.99 on amazon too (depending on which color you get) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018QROXLK/
I made some Keto Chow Banana Bread! It was pretty easy to make too:
Total macros for 3x Keto Chow bread: 1600 Calories | 110g fat | 14.31g net carb | 129.48g prot -- Funny note, I ate the whole thing at once in attempt to do an OMAD (one meal a day) and WOW that is filling. I could almost FEEL the Leptin rising in my body hahaha. It took me almost an hour and a half to eat. Super, super filing!
The only other cool thing that I absolutely LOVE is if you notice in the pictures the purple baking strip. I got it on a whim to test (based on this video) but it really does make a difference. You soak this fabric strip thing in water, wrap it around your preferred baking dish, and it makes things bake perfectly evenly. This is because it prevents the sides of the baking dish from heating up and causing the edges to bake faster than the middle (which makes it rise). It is the "Wilton Bake Strip" off Amazon. Non-affiliate link here in case anyone is interested. P.S. I got my cheapo mixer off Amazon, and the silly red silicone loaf pan off Amazon too. Yes I like Amazon! :)

I used /u/chrisbair's recipe from the website as a guide, and tweaked things as I went along. Let's call it semi-improvised.
I baked the muffins at 350° F for 15 minutes, and then turned the oven off and left them in for another 5 minutes. I opened the oven at 10 minutes to see how they were doing, then took the muffins out to test them at 15. That may have affected the baking speed. The muffins got SUPER puffy while they baked, then collapsed as they cooled.
Anyway, I would not describe these brownies as an unequivocal success. Not a total failure either! One of the flaws is a slightly-too-moist texture — next time I won't use so much liquid in the recipe. While they were still warm, the muffins were almost like pudding in the middle.
The other big flaw probably came from using sucralose as the sweetener (I didn't have Swerve on hand). That fake sugar taste... blegh. Still edible, and better when refrigerated.
I will try again in the future and see if I can nail a fudgey brownie recipe!
Edit: I forgot to add that whipped cream improves many substandard desserts.
a) Try avocado oil instead. This is what I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RBTKRA6 Obviously find a smaller bottle either on Amazon or your local store for a smaller investment
b) Try Keto Chow + water + eat some other fat source, such as a real avocado, a steak, bacon, cheese, or a stick of butter if you really want to. This will let you know if it's the heavy cream or not.
This is what I use. Truly is flavorless. You can order it through amazon or pick it up at a Vitamin Shoppe.
I built my own recipe, including my own base powder, and it worked out well, I lost about 20 kg since April and am down to my ideal weight, now I'm just trying to get the last little bit off so I have abs.
My main ingredients were Almonds, Avocado, and Whey Protein, and I added Salt, Potassium Citrate, Xanthan Gum, Calcium Phosphate, Choline L-Bitartrate to it and took fish oil, vitamin K-2, and a multivitamin. Worked out to under $5 a day.
I used cronometer.com to build the macros, and the diy keto chow 1 recipe as a starting point.
It was cheap and filling, but not all that tasty, so it might have been harder to stick to than keto chow. I kept it pretty strict for 3 months, and since then have been mostly off of it, but just watching my calories.

Exactly $49.99 for 1 gallon on Amazon, no tax, free shipping!
So that's 49.99 / 128 oz = 0.39 cents per oz.
Or to compare it to yours, 0.39 cents per oz * 9 oz = $3.51 per 9 oz! Almost $10 less, quite the savings!
I bought a gallon of it off amazon. Works good. Wish i bought one of those dispenser heads like lotion bottles have for easier pours.
Baja Precious - Avocado Oil, 1 Gallon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MNTRVPS?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

Again, I invested in this because I didn't want to do a lot of pre-freezing and clean up (it's 4 pieces you wash by hand each time) BUT that being said you don't have to have a digital one like this to make it work!
The heavy cream is really only for the fat and calories, right? I know that people want an all-in-one option, but its' not too hard, even on the road to have a couple of keto chow shakes without heavy cream and then add one meal with butter or something to make it up.
Here's the difference 150 ml of Heavy Cream vs 75 g of Butter
Couple cups of Brocolli + butter to end the evening? Not such a bad thing :)
I just got a big bag and I love mixing stuff in it! PB2 is my favorite but mint extract was really tasty. I've also used a few of the flavors like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00016V26E?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details and all have been pretty yummy. I also used the vanilla chow to make waffles using a recipe from the Keto Chow website last night and it was really good (I did not make the Cranberry syrup) https://www.ketochow.xyz/2018/12/keto-chow-eggnog-waffles-with-cranberry-syrup/
While it's shelf stable (irradiated, I'm assuming), it would need to be refrigerated after opening. So unless you use the whole carton at once it's just as perishable once opened.
Riffing off of your idea, I've seen heavy cream powder before. Not sure if the processing changes the nutritional content, but that's definitely something to look in to. First result on Amazon, for example: https://www.amazon.com/WillPowder-Heavy-Cream-Powder-16-Ounce/dp/B00250UD1Y
That's not frost, it's sunscreen residue from Disneyland. A kid put a spray bottle of sunscreen into my backpack. I discovered it after it was emptied. Made quite the mess and no amount of scrubbing has done anything to remove it.
That's a Costco Kirkland bar - they cost WAY less than quest bars but only come in 2 flavors.
Avocado oil is almost tasteless (it is totally tasteless to me but ymmv). Highly recommended as an alternative to heavy cream.
I thought the dairy aspect of whey was fairly low? Have you actually had an adverse reaction to keto chow powder? If so, I'd just go for egg or rice protein, whatever seems most appealing in terms of price and taste on Amazon.com.
[Edit]: If I type egg protein into Amazon, this is the first result. Seems like it'd do the job: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013OXDBU
Here 7.49 Amazon add on. Dash Mini Maker: The Mini Waffle Maker Machine for Individual Waffles, Paninis, Hash browns, & other on the go Breakfast, Lunch, or Snacks - Red https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010TCP3SC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_R2zdCbNMWHR9W
Instead of the hassle of having multiple bags open, and trying to mix/balance KC flavors I use a banana extract. I add 1/2 - 1 teaspoon to a chocolate peanut butter shake.
Best bet if you have an Amazon Prime sub:
https://www.amazon.com/Keto-Chow-Replacement-nutrition-Ketogenic/dp/B078CJSKY8/
You'll pay a premium but should be able to get it in a day or two.
I use this free app that refreshes tracking info automatically every 15 minutes on my phone:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.orrs.deliveries&hl=en
Highly recommended. And free!
Comes in incredibly handy with how often I buy from Amazon.
I prefer a coconut based MCT oil, only because I avoid palm oils for environmental reasons. I also prefer the carrington farms mct oil (below as I'm on mobile) because it's labeled as a food, and not a supplement. Food labeling is more strict in the US.
the brand you're using is likely fine - it's the entry you're using in Cron-o-meter. Specifically you want to use this one
> I was excited to find an entry already in CM for “Darigold, Whipping Cream, Heavy Classic 40%” which is the stuff I get from Costco in 2 quart packages. BUT the entry was missing a key element: the 0.48g of carbs per serving I know are in there. The solution was to find the USDA entry for “Cream, fluid, heavy whipping” and edit a copy with the specific values on the Darigold label (since the Darigold has more calories and fat at 40% fat instead of the standard 36%)
I use these containers for my KetoChow:
Rubbermaid Clear Brilliance Pantry Airtight Food Storage (12 Cup) (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07531HM8Q/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_MTB0DK7TD02QTHN6KHSF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)
A 21-meal bag fits in just fine (with a little wiggle room left over) and they’re thin enough I can get 4 on one kitchen cabinet shelf.
So much easier than messing with those bags all the time! 😊
If you have 3 keto chows a day, you should only need 2g more of salt per day.
I find these salt tablets really useful:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085VH1NM9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_olDaGbFAEDG7C
3x keto chow should be fine for all your potassium and magnesium.
It's possible /u/chrisbair might prefer people buy the flavor range for business purposes. Support your KC overlords, folks :)
But honest to god you only need the Vanilla, or Vanilla and Chicken if like me you benefit from not being sweet every single day.
Vanilla is almost a "sweet base".
Vanilla plus a glug of this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005IGWYU0/ is my go to. I've also tried their Orange syrup, which tastes like creamsicle or push pops, and Black Raspberry syrup which inexplicably tastes like Froot Loops.
You can make anything sweet out of vanilla with the right syrup. Torani I can buy local. It's just a sugar free syrup intended for coffee use.
I also have Chicken Soup, which I make with butter, a bit of salt, a small amount of garlic powder and a few dashes of hot sauce.
I'm not 100% KC, I cycle it in every few days as I transition back to full Keto.
Chocolate and Chocolate PB are probably the least sweet.
Chocolate is good, Chocolate Peanut Butter is great (Vanilla + PB2 peanut butter powder + Chocolate syrup will get me there I'd wager). Snicker Doodle was OK but not my style.
I picked up some from amazon initially. Can't beat the price and it was on prime. After that I just picked some up from whole foods (which was a bit more expensive, but at least i can tell the source).
I found some at Walmart (usually near the flour or the Hispanic foods section), and I ordered some on Amazon before: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077MSKB6H/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
I'll look out for Strawberry. I'm assuming you already tried Stevia/Erythritol combination too ?
Interesting comment about Chocolate flavor. I use the one below from Amazon w/ Monk fruit and it tastes great.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075FW7RH2/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
BTW, I wonder why ALL the flavors from everyone is always sweet. As someone from India, I wish for a spicy drink. Then, no need to worry about sweeteners & spices are naturally carb free.
I use Baja Precious avocado and almond oil in 1G quantities (purchased at amazon). The avocado oil has a very light hint of taste and the almond oil is pretty much tasteless. Both don't need to be refrigerated. I keep two 500ml dispensers with one of those little spout valves on them for KC prep since it makes it easier.
Costco sells very good quality avocado oil at reasonable price. Or you can get it online from Amazon. Here's two links to decent oil that is well priced:
https://www.amazon.com/Baja-Precious-Avocado-Oil-Gallon/dp/B00MNTRVPS
https://www.amazon.com/Kevala-Avocado-Oil-Fluid-Ounce/dp/B00ATAI4HC
Ahem. Who says you can't get whipping cream on Amazon?
It is, however, prohibitively expensive for my grocery budget. Is it cheaper at TJ's?
Seems to be really hard actually! (I'm in Canada.) I've tried Amazon.ca, GNC, and Bodybuilding.com.
All I found was a $140 3-pack on Amazon, and mixes like these where part of the blend is milk protein isolate.
Ok, I just remembered to look it up! Its 2 carbs per 4 oz Here's the amazon link. I just got it at the grocery store and it's pretty yummy :) https://www.amazon.com/Master-Mixes-Margarita-Mixer-Sugar/dp/B00H1BYC3C
It's the Dash My Pint ice cream maker, it's sold on Amazon, Kohls, Bed Bath & Beyond, Marshalls, and other stores. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BTQGBFT?pf_rd_p=183f5289-9dc0-416f-942e-e8f213ef368b&pf_rd_r=0GTQYN6H9Y7CDS9AGNX0
As others are saying, press through it, it'll get easier as your body adjusts! I'd agree with initially breaking your fast with something lighter.
To cut down on the dairy we consume, we do:
This typically ranges from 525-600 calories depending on the KC powder. I don't know where that count falls compared to other methods of prep but it works for us!
I used to scoop out of the bags, and then I got tired of messing with the little ziploc thing, so I ordered OXO brand POP storage. I get the 2.7qt semi-ceral box shaped ones, but the 2.8qt cube ish ones work well too, with a smidge more breathing room when you first open that bag.
They're a touch more expensive than some of the other storage containers, but every type I looked at eventually breaks, and the OXO ones were the only ones I found tutorials on how to fix the mechanism, plus I liked the aesthetics of them, so that's what I did. You can get them on Amazon, at Bed, Bath, & Beyond, or on the OXO website.
Here's the tall version that I use for KC:
https://www.amazon.com/OXO-Good-Grips-POP-Container/dp/B077VHT7H2/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=oxo+pop+2.7qt&qid=1602020319&s=home-garden&sr=1-2
I'm not an expert, but a 6 Quart container sounds like far too large for a 21-meal bag, but might be just right for 2 bags.
Once I realized that the original packaging would not work in the long run, I poured the remainder of my 21-m bag into a 2.3 quart container. (I've pulled around 5 servings out of it.)
I was looking at buying something like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005M8Y41Q
But I think 3.8 quarts is probably too large still.
Is the VPN with Private Internet Access? is hosted by Dreamhost, who blocks PIA's IP addresses. They might also block other VPN providers, but I know for a fact they block PIA. I have to shut down my PIA VPN to access the Keto Chow site too. Almost every time I can't access a site through the VPN, it turns out to be a Dreamhost site.
I just found that there is indeed an app (free) that allows you to speed up YouTube playback! It is "BS Player" (funny name I know). It works! Listening to the 3 hour episode at 1.5x speed. Ahhh. Not sure if interested, but just passing it along.
I keep mine in air-tight containers in central Ohio where consistent 60-80% humidity isn't uncommon during the non-winter seasons due to our clay keeping the soil from draining. Haven't had clumping issues.
I don't think the desiccant is really necessary.
I can't comment on the Walmart ones but theses ones work great. they hold a full bag plus a little bit more which makes it nice for dumping in a full bag to restock when you're down to just a few scoops left. Because of the tall and skinny design, they take very little space on the counter or in the pantry.
Sorry, but you're completely wrong here.
>"In 2010, Kansas State University professor Mark Haub went on a "convenience store" diet consisting mainly[citation needed] of Twinkies, Oreos, and Doritos in an attempt to demonstrate to his students "that in weight loss, pure calorie counting is what matters most, not the nutritional value of the food". He lost 27 pounds (12 kg) over a two-month period, returning his body mass index (BMI) to within normal range.[35][36] In addition to Twinkies, Haub ate Little Debbie snack cakes, cereals, cookies, brownies, Doritos, Oreos and other kinds of high calorie, low-nutrition foods that are usually found at convenience stores. However, despite calling it the "Twinkie Diet", Haub also consumed a multivitamin, a protein shake and fresh vegetables along with the Twinkies, Oreos, and Doritos."
It is a well proven fact that eating below your daily expenditure will cause you to lose weight, in fact, if it were any different it would break the laws of thermodynamics.
> IsoPure Zero Carb
Bulk Supplements makes a good one too. Tastes like poo-poo on it's own tho.
At the recommendation of my brother I picked up a package of http://www.costco.com/Nature's-Bounty-Ultra-Strength-Probiotic-10%2c-140-Capsules.product.100036528.html at minimum the placebo effect has made my tummy more happy
I usually just use a rounded scoopful after tapping the scoop on the side of the container I keep it in to settle it some. Comes out pretty close to the right weight that way.
Coconut milk in a can. Specifically -
http://www.fooducate.com/app#!page=product&id=569D8C76-98CB-67FC-420B-A1B8309F4BB8
I use a regular blender bottle and not noticed any clotting. I also like my shakes a little thicker (makes it feel like more of a meal) so I add in about 2 tablespoons of flaxseed meal.
> by the time you add enough cream to meet your fat macro, you've overshot the carbs
12 fluid ounces of HWC has less than 10 carbs.
Chris's experiment suggests that high-PUFA oils like canola aren't ideal with KC
> somehow it has 1g of carbs per Tbsp
That's a rounded number (notice that none of the numbers on the nutrition info have fractional components). Sometimes it says 0g, sometimes it says 1g. Both are incorrect. I think (though I've never really confirmed from a primary source) that a more accurate number is ~0.4g per tbsp. It certainly will vary depending on cows, their nutrition, location, and creamery.
My math says that you got ~5g of carbs, not 12.
Not so much the corrected base foods (like the heavy whipping cream), but the (non Chocolate Peanut Butter) KetoChow powder itself. The food and recipe links seem to only give me a view of the item, and no way to actually use it myself.
Looks like the cronometer FAQ mentions that anyone can publish their food and recipe items under the Data Sources -> CRON-O-Meter Community Database (CRDB) headings.
[](/dumbfabric) Would you mind publishing your items?
Add however much protein powder to each shake you need in order to hit your desired daily protein amount, while decreasing fat calories to compensate for the additional protein calories. 'Isopure unflavored' works well.
I recently did a cut using 3 Keto Chow shakes per day, and I wanted to get ~150g of protein per day. Here's an example of how to do that at two different calorie levels.
1200 calories and 150g protein per day (ingredients per shake):
1500 calories and 150g protein per day (ingredients per shake):
Here is a spreadsheet with a more detailed breakdown.
I bought a 6 bottle wine cooler bag and use that as my traveling cooler when I have multiple overnights. The blender bottles fit nicely in the sections. And one of the blue frozen things keeps it cold all day.
"MAZFORCE
Original Lunch Box Insulated Lunch Bag - Tough & Spacious Adult

lots of colors, this one shows gray...
Do you ever experience... "disaster pants" ? Haha. That was my experience a few years back when I used to consume MCT Oil. Inspired by your post, I'm going to give it a try again. I just ordered the least expensive bottle I could find on Amazon -- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SPFX1TZ/
I dunno if it was on sale... but https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TM7663M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_3AGXJWJA87JKSQ7GKF12?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I have a fridge when I get there, the insulation is just a booster. The bottle does say stays cold 24 hours, did it really not hold an hour?
This brand:
It is just the tea and spices, no sugar! Hope this helps 😊
Absolutely! There are the ones I use:
I love that they are clear. It makes it really easy to see which flavor is in the bottle. Plus, if someone sees me drinking it, especially the massive 50 oz bottle, it's a good conversation starter haha!
If I am not using that type of lecithin, and it doesn't have the amount of choline listed, then how would I enter the amount of lecithin into the recipe? For example, this lecithin granule available on Amazon Canada: Now Lecithin Granules - Non-Genetically Engineered 1 lbs https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0001TRQY8/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_SWyDxbE0YXFTN
Nevermind, just found the same 6 pack for $57.49 at Amazon. God I love Amazon. =) https://www.amazon.com/Chosen-Foods-Avocado-Fluid-Ounce/dp/B01KSE1XNK/ref=sr_1_5_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1533443491&sr=8-5&keywords=chosen%2Bfoods%2Bavocado%2Boil%2B6%2Bpack&th=1
I have been doing only avocado oil for more than a year after doing only HWC for nearly a year. Other than it not quite being as thick, I love it and for me its easier to track my macros. I also know I am not adding additional carbs, where with HWC, despite it showing 0 carbs, actually has carbs. I buy my avocado oil through amazon and never noticed a difference in taste.

I prepare my Keto Chow similarly. I make 2 days worth in a 1 gallon pitcher with an immersion stick. Here is a picture of my setup:
https://i.imgur.com/BU7kriR.png
The blender I'm using is KitchenAid 2-Speed Immersion Hand Blender- KHB1231. I bought mine from Target, but it's on Amazon for the same price $35.
https://www.amazon.com/KitchenAid-KHB1231-2-Speed-Blender-Electric/dp/B005GFXK1K
The handle is a little above the top of the pitcher. I usually do the majority of my mixing with the powder and fat source added and only about half water. Then I put the whole setup into my sink and continue mixing with a slow stream of water until it reaches the level I want. I've been doing this for 3-4 months without issue.
I have the blender, but I have noticed, when I use it, my shakes don't thicken as much.
I am going to try a few with the blender, and then just shaking them to see what the real difference is. I bought one from Amazon for like 16 bucks the other day. Now it's like 14. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K05AZQY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's not the best, but if you only use it for less than a minute at a time, and let it rest a bit, it seems to be really decent for the price.
I've tried this cheap $15 one off Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0124S0HIA
It never really froze, just stayed liquid. I didn't use rock salt though, so maybe that's the key. I wasn't willing to invest in rock salt to try it a second time so I gave it to family member who enjoys it with their kids and normal ice cream :)
Unfortunately, the one I use doesn't seem to be on Amazon anymore but it's similar to this. Mine holds three blender bottles with slim ice packs along the sides. It's good enough to keep in my air conditioned office, but there's not enough space for sufficient ice if you need to leave the bag in the car in summer.
So after a lack of great options given I went searching for a better cooler option. I found two that I’m very happy with. Both on amazon prime; both less than $16.
On the left is an insulated soft cooler by Mier. I can easily fit 6 full size shakers upright in it without cramming. I also was able to fit 5 standard height Rubbermaid Takealongs and two shakers. Both options had room for some ice packs. There large mesh pockets on either side large enough for a 40oz hydro flask, a zippered front pocket, and an internal lid flat pocket. This seems ideal for a quick trip or couples day away. 6 Shaker Cooler
On the Right is a smaller insulated soft cooler by Amersun. It easily holds two full-size shakers upright with room to spare. A third shaker was a bit too much for it, however clearly enough room for a ice pack and small snack. Designed to be kept upright, it does not easily tip when fully loaded and slips nicely into my backpack for walking. It also has a sling strap for carrying 2 shaker cooler
I use these (Amazon USA link: Rubbermaid Container, BPA-Free Plastic, Clear Brilliance Pantry Airtight Food Storage, Ope... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07531HM8Q/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_tai_J1bWDb...)
A whole bag fits in the container, making it very easy to measure out the amount you need. I don’t use the scoop (I weigh it out), but the scoop will also fit on top. Best purchase I’ve made; YMMV.
Glad to help. By the way, whatever container you use to store the butter, I recommend something that is easy to clean the entire inside. At first I was using Nalgene bottles, and completely removing the butter without a bottle-brush is a real pain in the butt. I could have used a brush but instead I just got these which have been great (it comes with 24 but I just use 2 for now): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HBV4WO0/
This Probiotic may help and has several strains of bacteria. If you take a probiotic, get one with a variety of strains, do it for the 30 days, then take a break from it. You don't want to overwhelm other strains of good bacteria already in your gut by overpopulating it with the same few types over and over again. Incorporate probiotic foods if you can, like kimchi, sauerkraut, low carb kefir, yogurt, or kombucha, and try different brands when you can, to get different bacteria. Get a variety of organic greens to feed your good bacteria - buy organic when you can, to avoid glyphosate which causes a number of problems in our bodies. It takes a while to change your gut flora, but it definitely helps.
I've been a full timer for almost 10 yrs and have "camped" my entire life. While campgrounds don't allow washing dishes in their bathrooms, I seriously doubt they'd have a problem with you washing a cup.
As far as RVs go I've owned everything from a truck camper, travel trailer, 5th wheel, and both class C and A motor homes in my lifetime. Other than car camping in an unconverted truck or van I've never, ever seen an RV of any kind that didn't have a sink.
As far as you're own unit - How do you wash your hands after going to the bathroom? Even Class B\CamperVans have small sinks. What are you camping in?
How many bottles are you washing at a time? Anyway this would be no bueno washing dishes in the shower is even more of a faux pas than using the bathroom sinks.
Paper towel can work in an emergency but i don’t think that method would last weeks of 2 kc a day.
I think i need a cheap disposable container I can mix the shakes in.
This is what i gave so far: Plastic Deli Food Storage Containers With Leak-Proof Lids 48 Pack, 32 Oz | Microwaveable Airtight Container For Soups, Snacks, Meal Prep, Salad, Ice Cream | BPA-Free Kitchen & Restaurant Supplies (48) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TG8JQNG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_j8AzFb51XZJTE
You’re on the right track at least. I found these but too small. Playtex Baby Nurser Pre-Sterilized Disposable Bottle Liners, Closer to Breastfeeding, 8 oz, 200 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XCP5RSF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_HVAzFb3C9ZBAD
Ziplock bags should work, but in moving vehicle they would be bounced around the fridge and likely break.
The ziplock bags can be contained in a larger (but not too large) rigid container that is re-usable because the container won’t get dirty.
This would keep them from bouncing around too much.
But I thank you for providing an actual solution.
> I feel this is going to be helpful for me considering I have an awfully aggressive sweet tooth.
Consider giving this a try: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072BC45L7/ I haven't tried it but I heard Chris mention it.
Back to the original question, KC OMAD with butter is roughly $8-10/day depending on sales and how many calories you need.
Sure, you could eat pasta, rice, and beans for pennies per day. But low-cost food like that will be missing a huge amount of nutrition. Over time, when you factor in the cost of cancer, diabetes, amputations, etc, resulting from the standard American diet (SAD), KC at $8-$10/day will save you thousands upon thousands of dollars. Not to mention, a drastically improved quality of life. Can't put a price on that!
Make sure you go through all the different samples at least once to figure out which flavors you like before you order bulk bags. A lot of the flavors are polarizing - some people absolutely can't get enough of the ones that other people can't stand.
Don't worry too much about hacking and customization right now. Just try the different flavors in the sample pack, pick the ones you like, try those with different fats to see what you like best in them, make sure you're within your macros, and KCKO (Keep Calm and Keto On!).
Get yourself a probiotic supplement for the first month or two. Acacia gum feeds some different bacteria than starch does, so you may find yourself with weird poops and gas unless you put the right organisms in with their preferred food. I recommend Hyperbiotics PRO-15.
Oh, and don't forget to check the underside of the bulk bags. =)
This may be more of a meal to you, but I eat a can of sardines almost every day.
Occasionally I will have a plate of pork rinds
They are the perfect size for one portion, are small, dishwasher safe, and cheap.
I use these. Nice wide opening, they stack well when time to take them back home for cleaning. They're great to keep around the house for general kitchen prep, too, so they're a good multitasker.

I’ve seen root beer extract before, I wonder if that would help to boost the flavor.

Please - we're women, not females. I specifically take Amazon's house brand ferrous bisglycinate because it's the most bioavailable non-heme iron out there, and the most gentle on the digestive system.
Thanks! I found the one that is around the price you said. Linking below to help others.
I order powdered heavy whipped cream on amazon. You can make baggies of dry mix, then use a shaker bottle.

Not the best, not the worst.
Huh, I haven't ever found a Calcium Phosphate that is as finely ground as the Freeda one. I tried several and had no luck
> 1.0.3 - reverted 1.0.1 change back to original calcium phosphate, that other one imparted a sandy texture.
"other one" refers to the BulkSupplements one
I can't digest the fish oil pills - even the 'burpless' kind. I got the vegan (kelp based) omega 3 pills and there's no taste and super easy to digest! The cheapest ones I found on Amazon were these (comparing for the same amount of DHA):
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GPXWLH9
After tracking nutrients with Cronometer, I find I only need 1 per day (200 mg DHA), so $18 is enough for 2 months ($9/month).
I bought a year ago based on the America's Test Kitchen review. That page has an annoying sign-up overlay but if you click "read more" you can read the whole review including the name of the winner (on amazon).
I occasionally nauseous after a shake, too. I use KC, 2oz AO and 14 oz water. I have a hard time digesting fat and my bathroom habits are not fun with KC and AO, but I deal with it. I started taking a digestive enzyme with added probiotics a month ago and it has really helped. This is what I'm using.
Looks like it is this one on Amazon -- link -- and the reviews are good! Yes please; let us know how it goes!!! Maybe even a video for the YouTube channel on making KC waffles?? (I know there is the text recipe, but video recipes are great too.)
Seriously, waffles are a game changer. Liquid KC for lunch and KC waffles for dinner hahaha. Add some eggs and bacon and I get perfect nutrition + not missing out on any "dinner" or "chewing" etc. Love it!!! Might eventually try making waffles for a road trip next time too!
So, legit question: Would something like this be a totally horrible idea? You could seal it and shake like crazy to recombine everything pre pour.
I'm on an organization kick. There's a post with other recommendations under my user name. I went with these. THETIS Homes Cereal Container,Watertight and Airtight Dispenser with 4 Locking Lids,4L ,135.2 Oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CPXDCWQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_rVXRBbXA8Y55N i don't empty the bag. I make the bag a bit flatter. I pull the top over. Put lid on. I do not pour. I just pull clips and pull scoops out. One's like it are in tjmaxx and Marshalls. There are many options to storing. I find I love 2 flavors. Others are seasonal. The only ones I don't like? Slider zippers from dollar tree or slider zippers. Reason is try it with some coffee. You'll know how well it works. If your whole house smells like coffee pick Something else.
There are waterproof labels of all kinds, often used for labeling kids' bottles or sippy cups at daycare. They stay on in the dishwasher, etc. Like these
> MCT oil, avocado oil, ANY oil has almost exactly the same amount of calories per ml so you can use them interchangeably.
This reminded me of something I've been wondering recently...
It might sound like it doesn't matter, but when I blend 8 meals together, I need to measure out 2200 calories of oil. Then that slight discrepancy makes a huge difference. If you were to measure the Baja Precious by weight, would you just assume 14g = 130 calories like Chosen Foods, or 15g =120 calories, or something else?
I have a hard time believing pure oil has a different caloric density based on brand......
It works a charm. I add 48 oz water 1.5 cups hwc, and three scoops of KC. turn on low for 30 seconds. no more power or time or you end up churning the hwc into butter.
Makes 3x 21oz shakes. There might be room in there for a 4th shake, but I only have 3 containers to pour into, so I haven't tried.
there's usually a tiny amount of paste on the side when I'm done. so I just scrape it off back into the drink with a knife and reblend for 3-5 seconds. I get a nice smooth wonderful shake out of it.
The quality does vary, mainly by the type of MCT used (I can't speak to manufacturing differences, etc.). By that I mean that there are 3 different acids that are ever included in MCT oil that may occur in greater or less amounts. The best variety is caprylic acid (C8), and this tends to cost the most, as it's the cleanest burning MCT that your body most easily converts into ketones. I would recommend a pure C8 oil, like this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078XHRG11/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
For reference, a C8/C10 (C10 is capric acid) blend is also acceptable, usually cheaper, but not quite as efficient, metabolically. I would stay away from anything containing lauric acid (C12) completely.
I do 2 ketochow servings with additional protein powder (Cellucor Molten Chocolate Whey) and food to meet protein/cal goals after workouts in one meal a day.
I don't have or use the blender bottles at the moment. I have this bottle https://www.amazon.com/TRIMR-Duo-24oz-Mint-Hydration/dp/B00J9XRIE0?th=1 and this bottle https://www.target.com/p/cool-gear-quorra-bottle-18oz/-/A-15266205 not exact as mine is 28 oz size. I use the trimr shaker before putting either in.
More, but different brand? I'm new to pretein powders and have no idea if that "Canadian Protein" one would be considered the equivalent for Keto Chow (are the carbs low?).
Here's what I bought (free shipping): https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00EACSEXO
The Baja Precious gallon bottle seems to be the best, although I have not tried it. I'm using their sweet almond oil gallon though, which is really great. A little cheaper.
