One thing that might work if you have a phone with USB Type C is a USB-B to USB-C cable. Then you can connect the 'brute to your phone and use whatever app can send CC codes.

Get a good pair of tweezers, that might have enough grip to pull them out. You can use tweezers for many other things as well, like pulling out tics or thorns if need bee.
Or get a par of these, they have a very good locking mechanism and great grip. If there is any part of the plug that you think you can get them to grip on, they should work. You can use them for many other applications as well. They are surgical tool. :

Hook the 1/4 plug into MB Output port and 1/8 plug into your computers Line In. This will allow audio to get to Ableton. From here you will need to Youtube some 'how to connect external hardware to Ableton'. You will be able to use Filters and record audio coming from MB. With USB you can only use it as a midi controller in Ableton.
