I use Hermit in Android. It's basically a web wrapper but it has an adblocker integrated. Obviously this is not the solution for the problem, but it's a work-around.

It's still small, but it's more general than Hacker News and works REALLY well on mobile. There's a stickied post in r/tildes that you can post in if you want an invite to register, they always give them out in about a day.
