Look at this graph. Every year lot of people immigrate to good countries and birthrate is decreasing.

Good history and big land does not mean bright future.
This post would be a lot cooler if you provided the link to the app.
Oh look, here it is: E-Police app on Google Play
Word to ma mama I'm snitching on errbody.
I suggest you to come during summer when weather is nice. Yah i think ulaanbaatar is kinda modern also it has a lot of eastern european style buildings. UB is not tourist attraction. Going to country side is best place to be in summer. I would suggest to go to Huvsgul nuur which is biggest lake. If you want to see more interesting "ethnically" diverse region it should be Bayan-oulgi. About naadams there are smaller naadams in smaller town but i can't say much because i rarely leave UB. Otgontenger is my favourite place(it is a highest mountain in mongolia) Because i was there(personal bias i guess) Make sure that you get good driver cause you will be travelling in empty steppe for the most part. For travel agencies i don't know much but just do extra research. the nature is the best part of mongolia, the endless sttepe, and the sunsets somethings they are really nice.
here also some info http://wikitravel.org/en/Mongolia
>Interestingly the folks at the horse camp told me it has already rained a couple of times. Hopefully they are not intentionally misleading us.
35 mm of rain in the past 2 months https://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/ZMUB/2017/4/1/CustomHistory.html?dayend=9&monthend=6&yearend=2017&req_city=&req_state=&req_statename=&reqdb.zip=&reqdb.magic=&reqdb.wmo=
so yeah, technically 'it has rained a couple of times' but in reality there is very much a draught, and the june rains havent arrived yet. The rivers are OK, as there is still a lot of melt off from the mountains.
We had a collegue do a 14day horse trek around Khuvsguul lake, at least there water provisions are less of an issue.
It might rain wednesday, though.
I haven't used it so I am not sure if this will help you, but there is an android app with recipes of variety of foods in Mongolian.
Thanks! I went to college to learn computer science, it was a good experience but I recommend against it. Check out http://www.codecademy.com/, it offers a lot of great tools for beginners. If you're passionate, you can learn by yourself for free.
Once you learn the basics, open source coding is a great way to get experience and feedback. https://github.com/ is slowly changing the world doing this - and probably offers the best practice skills.
I really love Seoul Street! They have the best foreigner-friendly restaurants there. Thanks for recommending meetup.com too. I've heard of it before but never thought of using it here in UB.
Here is the result of the audio analysis:
https://www.slideshare.net/slideshow/embed_code/key/xx2MPkrAo9pVwy
This is the strongest point of the analysis IMO:
> By identifying and examining the harmonic tones, I was able to locate any breaks, changes or edits by observing and reviewing their patterns. If there is a change or dropout in the tone this would indicate the presence of an unnatural shift in the environment and/or the recording. All three harmonics observed remained constant.
It would be fun to ask them which parts of the audio exactly have been tampered with for further in-depth analyis...
Edit: this and the environmental noise that the report mentioned. If the audio had been cut, you would hear elements in the background (cars, birds) suddenly appear or disappear.

Its a really bad book. Seriously really bad. The azeri have a complete different view of history
Not in real life but there is a fiction book about a serial killer set in Mongolia.

Hi, I've got a few advice.
First of all don't expect everyone being genuinely happy or welcoming, they'll use you and decieve you however they can especially people +30.
Here we use imperial metric system so try to get used to it fast.
1km in taxi is 1500₮ and some go with 2000₮. Anything other than that is scam so be wary. From my personal experience it's better to use the app called UbCabUbcab but during daytime it takes long time to find one near, it's super fast during nighttime though.
The girls here are beautiful but I must warn you they're mostly underage so be extra careful.
And always remember never start a fight anywhere under any circumstances.
Other than that it's beautiful so I hope you'll have a wonderful time and sorry for the gloomy advices but it's the truth so please be careful.
I work as a ICTO in a 4 star hotel near city center if you need anything you can ask
May I have my say? Not in accordance to convenience anybody, but just to express my current stand. It would be interesting because I've an unpopular opinion and I've crossed the line where I think conspiracy theories make more sense than the general media feeds.
Both AN and MAN are the puppets of the US dollar overlords, despite Russia and China both having huge influence over us. To support my say, 1 USD used to equal 800 MNT not so long ago, but it equals 3000 MNT today. This is an effortless proof. Big and unsound thinking, my guess is that after the cold wars put to an end, cautions and insecurities never vanished. It just laid out an another kind of race of authority like it does. The result was that the game has just changed to something else, a currency war. I think what happened to our country in the 90's was that we got introduced to a toyish kind of democracy. By the ones pushing every nation should've a democracy to join their alliance. Which is not really a democracy in good. And the gradual goal was to discredit MNT. By devaluing MNT, we get prone to currency laundering with loads of loan and bonds. By the time you get a loan USD equals 800 MNT, by the time you pay the loan USD equals 1600 MNT. And also get prone to selling our natural resources in form of some other currency. The trick here is that it's not in the price, but in the play where the said currency just gets hard to acquire with MNT as the days go by. So after all, I think, we can see that this very devalue the national currency schema and extract the natural resource ponzi has happened to many third world countries around globe in the span of last a half century, obviously not just to us of course.
So here you go. The ideas I got are from here and there. And some other things and such. Sorry for my blabbering.
not sure if you are familiar with this book

If you are using XL pack (100k pack), it shouldn't decrease the speed. I have been using that pack for three years straight, except last month internet got delayed for a day long. First of all, you may call Univision assistant service. if they say nothing wrong you may check the LAN cable, it may have broken somewhere. Lastly, if none of those work, check this site. You may have set data usage: https://winaero.com/set-data-limit-wi-fi-ethernet-windows-10/
You can listen to Mongolian online.
The Mormon church is very active in Mongolia, and presumably have excellent language-teaching materials. Doesn't hurt to ask if they will share ...
I just bought what the AirTrans agent said were the very last seats on the AeroMongolia flights to/from Ulgii for the Eagle Festival (departing 10/2, returning 10/4). They were quite expensive too ($600 USD per person roundtrip). But a friend who is driving up said it will take him 4 days driving each way(!!). It's two of us going (American dude and Italian bird) and we have not found any available lodging yet, all three of the ger camps listed at http://wikitravel.org/en/%C3%96lgii are fully booked. Any have any leads for somewhere warm to sleep at night?
Word you are looking for is "Polarized Mind". There is a book i saw someone recommend to someone.
Quick definition is: The polarized mind is the fixation on a single point of view to the utter exclusion of competing points of view.
I was in the same boat as you are in now and it was stressful af so to get out of that boat i changed my attitude to something like this to "yeah whatever you say, bye". You get cancelled if you accept the canceling look at Lil darkie and Dave chappelle. You giving a shit about them is the fuel they need so if you stop giving a shit about them next person will stop giving a shit about them and the domino effect continious.
This is an open source android app made for contributing to this project: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.commonvoice.saverio
Do you have access to the router control panel/settings/UI?
I'd suggest installing WiFi Analyzer to see if the wifi channel you're using is too crowded. If so, just move it to a different channel.
Some additions to:
> clothes here are expensive, so i suggest you buy winter clothes from where you are and bring em to mongolia...
Expect to pay at least a couple of 100$ for a good jacket.
This is a good benchmark for a jacket for seriously cold weather:
http://www.amazon.com/Canada-Goose-Mens-Expedition-Parka/dp/B00508HS52
There are similar jackets from other brands that might be a little less expensive, but still probably more than you ever payed for a piece of clothing.
I would say, bring at least a very good jacket, a very good pair of winter shoes, gloves, a bomber cap and multiple layers for your legs, and/or some ski pants. You can find some things like cashmere underwear in UB, but you need it from the first day.
If you want to be fancy, bring a gas mask that protects your face and filters air at the same time.
