I have a framed, decorative art print just inside my front door that reads "Clothing Optional Beyond This Point." Guests who know I'm a naturist (including those who are into it themselves) see a subtle reminder of the "rules" in my home. Guests who don't know typically assume it's just for humor. Either way, it induces smiles!
The poster is only $10 on Amazon (without frame): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DMB8V8L/
Here is the type of towel I use on a daily, as well as to travel.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A4ZXXR2/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_Y5WXT39V3Z2K5W86G4C0
It is soft, dries fast, and absorbs enough water to dry me. Packs very well, as it is only as thick as a few (one or two) sheets of paper.
I will add that is tough as well.
> Also swinging is technically a fetish
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fetish
> an object or bodily part whose real or fantasied presence is psychologically necessary for sexual gratification and that is an object of fixation to the extent that it may interfere with complete sexual expression
Swinging is a kind of ethical non-monogamy. It's a practice, a hobby, a lifestyle. It's not a fetish. Calling it that, especially in the context of the linked facebook post, is absolutely dripping with judgmentalism and sex negativity.
Netnude.com is pretty good, though it doesn't get as much traffic as it deserves. That's probably because you have to sign in just to read it. Yes, it's free. There's also Dennis Kirkpatrick's group on Google, https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/naturists Again, it could use more business.
Truenudists is hopeless: the way it uses young women's pictures as illustrations just shows you what it's about, and that links up with the "Trueswingers" offshoot. The topic of faked identities seems to be a common one there.
But in general, I think we should all refuse to participate in any "nudist" discussion group that excludes young people, as Nudistclubhouse and Truenudists, and a great many others do (including Clothesfree, which hasn't been mentioned yet). If nudism is for adults only, does that mean that it's an "adult" activity? If the kids are being kept out, then maybe that's why, and anyone who sees it happen is likely to draw that conclusion. I'll be ready to believe that a nudist discussion group is what it claims to be if it lets everyone participate, and if it isn't overloaded with images of babes. The number of groups that can meet that standard is pretty small!
Ok -- your first resource is the AANR website.
As other's have mentioned, Meetup.com can be a great place.
There are other Online Forums you can use to make connections with people.
Another idea, if you are brave, and are truly interested in organizing a group, building community, as it were, is :
1) create a separate Gmail account,
2) create a craigslist account with that email account.
3) Place an ad, something like -- "In the greater <insert your region here> there should be <estimate 1% of the population> people interested in skinny dipping. If you are interested in skinny dipping, reach out. Looking to form a Non-landed AANR affiliated club in the greater <insert your region here> area. NON-sexual, not a hook-up zone. "
You will get some creepy people responding.
Create a Google form survey, and send it to them to fill out, to collect your database, of potential members, and vet to make sure they aren't creepy. Then start to organize. Schedule a non-nude meetup, somewhere like a park, or a coffee house, or something public, but private enough to have a conversation.

Begin planning, organizing, the start off with ideas of where you can have activities, who can host, etc.

When I walk in the water, I'm always concerned about rocks and smaller stones.
Although I'm not a photograph connoisseur and cannot comment competently on the artistic or technical merits of the photographs, it's good to see a book that depicts British naturism with some realism. From what the photographer, Amelia Allen, is quoted as saying in the Cosmopolitan article, it seems that she's gained some meaningul insight into naturism. She also deserves some kudos for 'immersing' herself into the scene, which at times, probably wasn't easy for her.
Had I known about the exhibition earlier I might have been able to make time to go to it. As it is, I'm on call and have to reconcile myself that I tend not to like black and white photographs much. Why do photogaphers still use it so much? It's not like Britain isn't already grey enough. Naturism make it less grey not more grey.
The Herrick Gallery website shows five photographs from the book, four of which are different from those on Amelia Allen's website.http://www.herrickgallery.com/naked-britain-1
Curiously the book is cheaper on Amazon than on Amelia Allen's own website. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Naked-Britain-Amelia-Allen/dp/3868288198
Decided to take it a step further and make it official. Check out this link to other options. What do you think? I think it'd be awesome to make this part of a bigger movement. https://teespring.com/stores/rather-be-3
Check out Meetup.com. Search "Nude" and see what comes up. There might be Nude Yoga or other clothing-optional events in your area. Also Google "Non-landed nudist clubs" in your area. They're usually events hosted at people's home; and they're a great way of meeting other nudists.
Beside that and the obvious (resorts and beaches),the options for meeting other nudists are rather limited.
I bought this quite expensive silk robe and absolutely love it for when I would otherwise be too cold to be completely naked. Even though the material is thin, it's soft and surprisingly warm when wearing. You are still pretty close to being and feeling naked when wearing it as silk let's the skin breathe and it's not clammy.
It's called Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking (Amazon link)
I use an applicator strap I purchased on Amazon ( Body Buddy Non-Absorbent Lotion Applicator )- https://www.amazon.com/Body-Buddy-Non-Absorbent-Lotion-Applicator/dp/B00HUUS0X2/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=Body+Buddy+Non-absorbent+Lotion+Applicator&qid=1562692807&s=beauty&sr=1-3
Works great.
There is a app for android. Called Nudist Compass
For iPhones you can use the service in the browser
This app works fine in Switzerland and Germany. Dont know how it works in other counties.
My username there is NudistCH ;)
This isn't exactly what you are asking about but may be the closest app to that: Nudist Compass. It's more along the lines of a travel guide where you can rate locations and has a chat function. So, it's close but not exactly the same.
Not everything has links on the web. A pretty thorough study is the book Growing Up Without Shame. It's out of print. You might be able to find it cheaper on eBay.

In terms of adult-only nudist places, there are some activities in the city usually on a monthly basis. Not sure about their exact contact information but if you do a search on Facebook for 'nude or naked adelaide' I'm sure they will come up. One group is 'Naked Adelaide' and another is 'NGCSA' which stands for "Nude Guys Club So. Aus.".
Also, I have started up a group on Meetup.com, for those in the Adelaide area or visitors to the area, you can check out. Here's the link... www.meetup.com/Adelaide-Naturism-Meetup
Amazon and others have retractable privacy screens
If you're interested in the history of nudism in the USA, this is an excellent read - plenty of citations and academic thoroughness and very well written.

Well, at least for Android there's StreetComplete that helps with adding information.
Unfortunately it doesn't support the nudism
tag, but it's still the easiest option to add a note to a spot for a more experienced mapper to pick up & fix.
You might want to check out Olaf Danielson's book 'Boobies, Peckers and Tits', where he recounts his big nude year.
I think nudism and birding are a great combination and I try to do some nude birding whenever I get out to Avalon in West Virginia. They have a lot of wooded acreage, meadows and some good trails.
It would be nice to find a group interested in nude birding outings at Avalon or MAHESO.
We use something like this. So not able to close completely but able to provide shade. Never had any issues using it anywhere we have gone but other places might be different.
This response goes beyond nudism, but I hope it helps you. There are a few things that can help: 1) no-fap is a community that helps men to quit porn through data, practices, and support from other men. I know them by reputation only but they help out a lot of men. 2) working out, meditating, eating heathy, and otherwise engaging in fitness helps too. In part due to keeping you busy and in part by helping to keep you mind focused towards self improvement. 3) 30 days of discipline: there is a guy named victor pride who released this book years ago and it’s helped me extensively. Problem is that he became a monk and discontinued his site. That said this appears to be the text of his book https://www.amazon.com/30-days-Discipline-Disciplined-Ass-Kicker-ebook/dp/B089DDY7Q1
Which brings us to 4) I don’t know if you have a faith and who you pray to if you do. I can only speak to my experience and the only thing that truly helped me to quit porn and masturbation was returning to church, confessing my sins, and growing in Christ. Everything else I’ve stated in 1-3 is helpful and helped me to get to this point, but God is the one who helped me get beyond the hurdle.
Take what I say with a grain of salt and feel free to pursue what you think will help you. If you are ok with this, I’ll keep you in my prayers that you can stop porn and enjoy nudism the way it’s intended to be enjoyed.
This is a running belt that just barely fits a cell phone and a key. It's about as minimal as you can go:
BTW Here's a useful app for tracking vitamin D creation based on the location and the time of year. It's also useful for making sure you don't get too much sun exposure.

Here is a type of towel I use on a daily basis, but it especially comes in handy while traveling and away from home. They are light, thin, tough, and surprisingly absorbent. They also dries fast too.
Originally, I used McNett's tactical version, but it is a bit more rougher on the skin. I discovered Rainleaf's version and found it to be the same thing, but softer. I have no experience with the others. Rainleaf Microfiber Towel -Amazon
Here (Rainleaf Microfiber Towels on Amazon) is my preference for towels when traveling and visiting resorts and beaches. They are tough, very thin and light, absorb a lot of water, and dry fast. They are also comfortable to use. The McNett (I think) were the first towels I encountered, and while they are virtually the same, the Rainleaf towels are softer.
We have planters that sit over the top of the fence, so with some good plants to then add some extra height could work. We’ve also taken some expandable green privacy screens (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GNDXZFH?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_F133S0TZTY337XAQ7SW7) and fitted them to the fence in such a way that they sit higher than the fence. We like this option since we can then take them down in the colder months and they also don’t need the care/feeding that real plants do.

A lot of people are hiking naked (Read the book Naked Hiking) and sunbathing naked is pretty common on nude beaches and private gardens. Welcome to the wonderful world of nudism!
No, you're not a perv. Hiking, running and doing errands nude is all normal and natural. Many nudists are doing it. But hey, I had the same questions running in my mind when I started to hike naked years ago. I thought I was a weirdo until I discovered other people where hiking naked too (I discovered the book Naked Hiking and it changed my life). I hope that you'll find answers in this community. You can browse my blog too (Nude and Happy) about many topics related to nudism and naturism! Enjoy the freedom!
There is a "Radiation Detector" App which can reveal infrared light sources. See this: Radiation Detector Let me recommend you the best Detector https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.infraredcameraviewer.radiationmeter
I used it to see if a TV Remote Control was working and then realized (learned) some of the Doorbell cameras have Infrared light sources in them also. A few are so strong they show up on ordinary Smartphone Camera views as a wavy-like radiating light [ • )))) ] pattern, I think because these are digital cameras and capture images X times per second (3, 4, more?) and not a continuously record analog video recorder.
The Radiation Detector might also be useful to check a hotel or motel room for discreetly hidden IR sources.

Jerry Johnson is very nude out of most of them. Kirkum and Sacajawea is usually clothed. For eastern Wa the beach across from vantage is nude and popular. I have just finished a book advocating naturism that's available on Amazon; in that book, I cover the basic points of how to introduce naturism to others. When it comes to the issue of Christians participating in nudism, it may help to grab your Bible and walk through all of the Biblical figures who are found naked. Discuss all of them: Adam, Noah, Joseph, Saul, David, Bathsheba, Isaiah, Jesus, Peter, etc. You will see that God did not speak a negative word about the figure who was found naked. The conclusion that nudity is bad is a cultural idea and one not based in the Biblical text. As to vague verses (Romans 14 etc) that Christians today should not be naked, those verses do not apply to naturism because better verses apply (Matt 5:27-30). Because there is no clear, undisputed commandment prohibiting social, public nudity in the Bible, Christians may participate in it as they so desire. When we say don't steal, we don't point to the anecdote of Achan at Ai, but we cite the words of The 10 commandments: you shall not steal.
Talk to your wife about this and pray that God opens her eyes because social nudism is so much fun.
I can't speak to pagan rituals or early or niche Christian practices. I recently picked up a copy of this book written by a devout Catholic Christian. I haven't read it yet, but it's in my near-term to read stack.

Go to the source. Wordpress.com specifically allows non-pornographic adult content. As evidence, [toplesspulp.com](toplesspulp.com) is hosted on Wordpress.com.
If you need to self-host, most VPS hosting plans allow any content that isn't illegal (e.g.: no photos of naked kids). AWS and MediaTemple come to mind, but there are are plenty of others.
Welcome to the wonderful world of nude recreation. A lot has been said in comments, and it's great that you had a nice experience. As a modest adventurer, you can wander in new places and explore more nude activities: https://www.amazon.com/Ideas-Increase-Nudist-Friends-Nudism-ebook/dp/B091M92DKY
Explain the benefits of nudism for her and be ready for the issues that she will likely raise. Once you know those things and can give a cogent explanation to the issues that she will raise, then it's just showing that naturists are like any other social grouping under the sun. We gather to spend time with each other because we share the same belief about 1 thing. Asking the simple question do you want to go to the naturist park with me can work wonders, but if it helps to be more subtle, talk about what you are going to do: swim, hike, eat, play volleyball, video games, tennis, Uno etc while naked. Would you like to come along? If the answer is no, that's ok. Damascus road conversions rarely happen, but people changed their views about nudism over a longer amount of time. Don't be afraid to share naturism. I have just finished writing a book about this topic that is now available on Amazon.

I don't know if ~~this~~ fits your requirements exactly, but it is very thin and lightweight, durable, as well as absorbent and fast drying. Some of them have stitched holes around the edges and most of them have a loop in the corner to hang the towel with. This particular towel is also very soft. There are different sizes to choose from as well.
*EDIT: Seems my link was for a motherboard that I was recommending in another subreddit discussion. My attempt to copy the towel link into my clipboard was an obvious failure, thanks to those that pointed it out.
Here is the correct link

Yes, I could do this definitely. In fact, I have done figure drawing modeling. It is a fantastic experience. It is amazing what the artists are able to do and it is very rewarding knowing that you have contributed to another person's art work.

I too live in a conservative Midwestern state, and the closest reputable nudist resort is about 90 miles distant — too far away to make it worthwhile to become a member, and probably also too far away to make new friends there, especially people who might coincidentally live closer to me.
My advice is to find ways to start being open with your family and close friends, if you aren't already, about how you are very comfortable being without clothes when circumstances allow — when the weather is warm, when you're out in nature or when you are able to travel to a beach, and at home. Look for some inoffensive art to display in your home (for example, see https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DMB8V8L/ — it's a poster that reads "Clothing Optional Beyond This Point" in attractive lettering) that might spark a conversation with house guests. (If someone asks about it, you can decide, based on who your visitor is, whether to seemingly dismiss it as a fun joke or whether to confirm that you do, in fact, find nothing wrong with wholesome social nudity.)
I'm not suggesting that you have to widely and publicly announce "I'm a nudist!" But by being open about nudism/naturism even in subtle ways, over time you might discover people in your circle who feel similarly — who are already comfortable being nude socially, who are curious about trying it, or who at the very least are accepting of other people (like you) being nude around them.
Best robe I ever bought was this Hufflepuff one (shout out to my Puff homeboys). 100% polyester fleece and the softest goddamn thing I own.
No idea what you budget is, but to keep things temporary since you are renting, maybe you could look at some of the gazebo kits that you can add a privacy panel to. Especially if you are just looking to screen a patio and not the entire yard.
Someone else mentioned shade fabric. Found this privacy/wind screen 5'8"x50' for $50, which is far less than I expected.

I own probably about ten pairs and even wear them instead of underwear. So comfortable
I love mine! I would highly recommend, but you have to understand what you are getting! It cost a fraction of full hotbtub, but its performance is at a fraction as well.
This is not a large "party" hot tub. The picture on the box shows 4 in it, but if you think about where they would have to be positioned under the water, you can see it would be very close quarters with a lot of overlap. Two can sit in comfortably though.
It doesn't get extremely hot. 104 is the highest it gets. It's definitely hot. But not ever too hot to sit in like the big ones can get. And as soon as you take the cover off, it will start losing heat quickly.
Here's a link for what I have. But I did not pay anywhere close to full price for this. Keep an eye out for sales or for people selling.

Matthew an author, nudism advocate, and the moderator of the nudism subreddit. His book How to Take Your Clothes Off: A Guide to Nudism for the Interested Beginner is available on Amazon for $3.99 (and I highly recommend it). Aside from his book, we talked about: how he got into moderating the nudism subreddit; the future of nudism; the importance of joining local and national organizations (even if you don’t attend their events); updating the narrative and presentation of modern-day clothes-freedom; women in nudism; and vulnerability.
> There are several available on Amazon.
Bought this one for my guy a few years ago. Several of the reviews suggest the book went into more detail than the reviewer was comfortable with -- which is exactly what appealed to me.
Had him read it privately, then gave him an opportunity to ask any questions -- "anything goes, no question is stupid." He had a few. Went well for us.
Covers all of the "boy material" you'd expect, but also hit basic "girl material," safe sex, abortion, same-sex relationships, etc. I'm comfortable with, and wanted him to learn about, those topics. If you're comfortable with all that as well, I recommend this book.
Essentially a wrap worn in the south Pacific islanders and other cultures. I wear mine with the edge to the side so I can pull it over just in case.

This book may be of interest to the naturist naturalist:
'Boobies, Peckers and Tits, One Man's Naked Perspective', by Olaf Danielson
(I have not read it yet, so not really a recommendation, but it is on my To Read list)
I hope you aren't talking about the Sport-brella. There are a ton of these (me having one).
It's been a very diverse summer and it's been awesome. I also met a ton of new people this year. However, there have been some other negative changes. That sign was way way way further down. Apparently too much lewdness going on in that area. It's also a little louder and rowdier with the bigger crowds since not many people travelled out of the area. There's also been rumors going around the rangers are trying to convert it into a textile beach and using any excuse they can.
It's still remains my favorite beach to go to. I hope we keep it around for a long long time.
In my experience if you stay towards the south end of Collins (near the volleyball courts) it tends to be more family friendly. But I haven't spent a ton of time to the north and the time I have spent there has been perfectly fine. The boundary between the clothed and CO portions are clearly marked but lots of clothed people hang out on or over the border.
We've yet to go to rooster rock but are planning to soon. We've always gone to Collins because I was under the impression that RR didn't allow dogs but apparently I was mistaken.
Either way you can always get yourself a beach tent or similar to kind of block yourself off from lurkers if you feel like it. I'm actually trying to sell mine if you're interested :)
If you buy something like this and cut the liner out they give coverage but are very lightweight and somewhat transparent so they would have a low SPF. Not as good as nude but not bad and the price is not as bad as advertised tan through products. Condor running shorts they are similar to Soffe running shorts which cost just a little more.
There is one type of fantasy makeup that is phosphorescent under long wave UV light ('dark light'). It's kind of expensive (eg. https://www.amazon.com/GLOW-MAGIC-Neon-Body-Paint/dp/B07W79G42M) but looks great. I used it several times.
You can use the trick of not drawing continuous lines or solid surfaces, just dots so you save a lot. Unless you're really near it looks fine. You can draw with conventional makeup more lines or surfaces, but obviously that will not be visible in the dark -just under the light-. To give you an idea you'll need like 100mL (5 of these) for a full body (thin person) using the 'dots' technique.
An encyclopedic new book by historian Fred Harding has just been released which traces the history of breast cancer through the ages and plots the evidence that wearing tight fitting breast garments are a major factor in the disease. For example, as an Egyptologist, he shows that the claim that the disease developed in Egypt is false. The two papyri which the ACS quotes as evidence, he presents to the reader, and guess what they talk about 8 ailments of the breasts of MEN. These include war wounds and sores.
Fred Harding goes through every claim made about breast cancer being an ancient disease and debunks them all. The disease first appeared in the 17th century. The author also presents 7 peer reviewed studies, the Singer studies plus 2 studies not published before that show the link between wearing bras and and breast cancer. The book is called The Tyranny of the Bra, is 560 pages long, full of facts and information.
