Are you aware of the allow acceptable ads feature of adblock plus, and would you consider revising your ad policies to take annoyance levels into consideration? I turned them off because I didn't think it was acceptable for me to be getting large pictures of scantily clad "asian ladies in your area" at work. P.S. ad organizations - I listen to asian music... that doesn't mean you should try to sell me asian porn.
Like I said, you can get machine with a 500GB of hard drive, with a bandwidth up to 1GB and with at least 250 MBPS for about 6 euro / month: http://www.online.net/en/dedicated-server/dedibox-scg2
it might not load as "fast" as amazon (as it's not a CDN), but it's fixed costs. If the bottleneck is the bandwidth, not the storage, you can get this: https://www.scaleway.com/pricing/ for 3 euros a month, you do have 50GB of ssd and 200 Mbps guarantee.
Also, I might understand that if a 1000 person are connected to a channel, all dancing with different character, it might be really consuming in bandwidth. (and expensive with aws), so why not disabling that view?
Finally, I do agree that plug.dj wouldn't be like it is today if it had not been a business. However, most listeners are happy with the current state.
They were usign Amazon Web Services which charges a monthly fee and an hourly fee.

if you still don't believe AWS pricing then I don't know what else to say other than show me proof they were scamming people.
Plug.DJ will not work in Chrome if you have any extensions that block the Facebook SDK from loading, like Ghostery, Disconnect.me, ScriptSafe, or Privacy Badger. The Facebook SDK is used for the "Login With Facebook" functionality.
If you use Facebook to log in, you will have to add an exception for facebook.com in these extensions.
If you do not use Facebook, you can use this tiny userscript to inject a fake, non-functional Facebook object into the page before Plug.DJ tries to load the Facebook SDK. It will then use this empty one instead of the one on facebook.com. This way you can enjoy Plug.DJ without having to allow Facebook to track your every move.
You need a VPS server or an old laptop or something that can run 24/7 to host it on. The cheapest server on digitalocean 5$/month should be more than enough to host a bot on, but there may be cheaper or better options out there.
It looks like you have some Adware on your computer that plug.dj doesn't like the look of :(. You can find out how to uninstall it here http://superuser.com/questions/848853/what-is-best-deals-products-and-is-it-malware. I've also been told that Lenovos stock software can sometimes be the bearer of this adware.
In an nutshell there are advertisers & publishers. Publishers are websites (like plug.dj) that have an audience to serve ads to. Advertisers are companies that want to get their message in front of an audience. In this case there is also 3rd party involved (a broker) that matches publishers with advertisers. The advertiser pays the broker to place their ads on publishers websites and the broker pays the publisher a commission while skimming a bit off the top for their service.
We are using Google AdSense as the broker and you can read all about them here: https://www.google.com/adsense/start/
Heya SpeedIPN,
This is a known issue and it only seems to happen on certain computers. I have one thing for you to try (if you want), and I have the solution (don't know if that will slow down your web browsing though). Please try upgrade to the 64-bit version of Chrome if you don't already have that (Get it here: https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/thankyou.html?platform=win64) If that doesn't solve the issue please try turn off your HW acceleration using this guide http://www.solveyourtech.com/turn-hardware-acceleration-google-chrome/.
Please let us know if this solves the issue.
Kind regards,

Ignore the second part - we thought you were trying to play the same song twice in a row. Anyway, does this happen in another browser (just so we can try and isolate the issue)? Do you mind sending a screenshot of your developer console when this happens?
