I can answer this!! Get one of these wig grip things: GEX Wig Grip Adjustable Elastic Comfort Headband Hook and Loop Fastener Adjustable Wig Band (Tan) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01K9RYL4O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_L0BlBbQ7D37G9
Doesn’t have to be that exact one, I think that’s the one I have tho. It’s like $15 bucks and it’s like this velvet band that Velcro’s onto your head underneath a wig. I swear by it. I did a pole show in April where I wore it for 4+ hours, inverting/hair flipping/all the things, and it stayed like a dream!
I know, I know... looking at this thing it seems like it won’t hold and it’s the most random thing, but it’s been the only thing that has ever kept any sort of wig on my head, I’ve used the same one for years now. I maybe only just use 2-3 Bobby pins in addition to wearing this and sometimes a wig cap (don’t always wear one even tho I have longer hair... my hair is pretty dang thin and fine so it’s easy to hide. And it doesn’t hurt like Bobby pins can! I’ll see if I can find a direct link to a pic from the show on my Instagram of me wearing a wig and pole dancing to show you... I don’t think I have a video, just a pic or two. I feel weird posting my insta on Reddit so I may take the link down later.
Hope this helps!
Edit 2: sorry I should have mentioned—the wig I have in that pic is not that long... but it was decently thick I would say, and shoulder length. I got it from amazon (yet again) for like... $18?? I totally lucked out. If you’re interested let me know and I can try to find the link. For other wig recommendations... if you have Prime, I would just say look around on amazon for ones that have decent reviews and look like what you want (and have prime shipping). That way it’s easy to return if you want. I’ve bought maybe 3-4 wigs randomly off amazon and actually have had decent luck. They’re not real hair, but they’re fun to play around with for pole/any day haha.
Use an antiperspirant-based grip solution - for example, I use something called Carpe (amazon link) that prevents my hands from sweating. I bought mine at a tennis store, and you know tennis players sweat pretty heavily playing outdoors in the heat!
Stuff like liquid chalk absorbs sweat, tite grip/iTac basically just makes your hands stickier, and Dry Hands does a bit of both -- neither help when you're super sweaty!
It’s generally recommended to start with 6 inches, with the thicker heal (the “aspire” not the “delight”). Then once you’ve mastered the 6, move on to the 7, and so on. :)
Edit: forgot to mention the price difference. Style is the main cause for price difference, not heel height. And you can get a pair of aspire from amazon for less than 50.
I just started classes a few weeks ago; I know the feeling. The warmup kicks my ass. I'm as flexible as a 2x4. I can't climb for beans, & my apprentices are iffy at best. I just don't have the strength to make them work yet. The thing that keeps me going is the spins. They're not very good at this point, but are super fun.
Each class, everything sucks a little less. Once you get into a class, if you're having trouble your instructor should be able to give you pointers to help. The other girls in my class are wicked encouraging, and I hope yours will be as well. That camaraderie helps me stick with it too. (That, and I know I need to keep at it 'cuz I wanna do flips & shit. :-P) If your studio is worth their salt, they'll welcome the newest of newbies and help you get the skills you need.
You can do it! Don't discount yourself out of the gate!
Roz the Diva does handsprings pretty regularly so I call bullshit on the not advancing past beginner. Pole is for everyone and some people don't care about the tricks and just want to dance!
I don’t know the model number :( but the description says “8" Silver Platform With Glitter Upper And Quarter Strap”. They might still be available if you search “The Highest Heel silver 8 inch” ! These also came in purple. Edit: they’re from the Zena series. found a listing on Amazon!
Not a OP but another dude who does both pole and calisthenics. Doing this requires a reasonably comprehensive routine as it's a fair amount of pulling, push and core.
Depending on /r/bodyweightfitness has a pretty good routine to start out with that you can find here. The book overcoming gravity by steven low link is also a fantastic resource with very detailed progressions from a ton of exercises.
Overall the exercises you do are going to be a lot of variants for pullups, bodyweight rows, dips, pushups, handstand pushups, l-sits, leg raises. The exact exercises variants you do will depending a lot on what your current strength level is. Personally I add weights to my pullups, dips and leg raises.
You can also do progressions on the human flag, varying the difficulty by how long of a lever you are. Tuck is easier than Iron-X which is easier than a straddle with your body in line which is easier than a full human flag.
Good luck
It’s not for everyone but this came up on my instagram the other day Pole Journal. It might be a way to focus on your own progress, and get out of your head a little? A way to keep notes on all the little victories, like how consistent a strength move is (even if you aren’t nailing it) or how much smoother a spin is feeling!
I made my own version, not for tracking progress as such, but a place to storyboard routines, write down new tricks I want to try and document snippets of flow/transitions/floor work I really like. I write down my conditioning and warms up too, and take it with me to practice. Just an idea!
Right now these are my favorite - 27" over the knee. I look and feel super sexy in them and always get compliments. I'm 5'4" and they go over the knee a bit snug but I have thick thighs anyway. They loosen a little bit the more you wear so I don't mind them tight around my thighs. Plus, it's on Amazon!
Oooooh, totally didn't know we had Ayesha November! :D Awesome, i just got my handspring a few days ago and did THIS with a few friends. :) (I'm the one needing a little help with the foot... xD Since then I have been doing it without footsie, but don't have a video of that yet.)
Also: Layback to Ayesha - love that transition. :) Not so easy in heels because they stick to the pole.
All in all I'm totally in love with ayesha and handspring right now, because finally I'm able to do it. Had pretty good ayeshas last November, then hurt my shoulder and couldn't do them for a while and got a bit afraid of them. Now I'm back!! :)
I filmed 3 entrances to a TG handspring that I know for you guys. Thought you'll find it interesting.
And these are some snippets from my latest training. I would love to hear some feedback on my form and anything really!
X-pole are fantastic, very safe.
Check out this fb page about dangerous poles, there are alot of them
https://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_154988504557034
Peekaboo seems to be the worst, also heard bad things about the Carmen Electra pole but admittedly never been on one. Do not get a spring loaded one what ever you do. Good luck.
You said you don’t want lights that use adhesive but thought about drilling holes to hang the mirrors so I’m not sure which you prefer. But I use fairy lights and put them up with thumbtacks because I didn’t want to create a big hole with nails. But you can always use those tiny nails if you don’t mind holes. Link to the lights. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZKGPVRK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_1001A0A2HTQCB1YJ92DW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Definitely use a leveler. No way around it. Safety first always.
As far as the mirrors, there are plenty of articles and videos online on how to remove the frame from the cheap mirrors. You can then put up the mirrors with Command adhesive strips if you don’t want to purchase hanging anchor kits (only like 10 bucks per kit which is enough for a couple mirrors).
Good luck!
Buy a dance belt to keep your goods civil and out of the way during pole. I opted for the underwear version for longer time comfort over the thong-ish version. Personal preference.
For the short themselves just pick up some shorts like these. They’re above your mid thigh. More skin surface area for moves but not too short to not make “others feel uncomfortable” as you put it. Keep doing you and continue to slay. The studio is a safe space for everyone Links below

Thanks 😊 I got them on Amazon! This is the one I have, but you can search "galaxy light projector" and find lots of options!

Use plain rubbing alcohol to clean the pole to keep it from being slippery and also get some of this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00476MDU8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_anmbGbC7WWA8C
It helps so much! I sweat like crazy, it saved me.
Yes! The heels are Pleaser, Style ADORE-1020SHG. 7" Heel. You can’t really tell in the photo but they are blue/purple iridescent with a black heel. The pole I purchased off Amazon. Pole
I’ve only tried a few Bluetooth headphones, but I actually really like these. Bought them a little over 2 years ago to use to practice my PSO routine, and they stayed in my ears very well for the most part (unless I somehow caught the strap on something which was rare. Cheap too, and they still are going strong years later.

You can buy a thing called a "grip stengthener" off Amazon for a couple of quid. I got one a little while back and it has made a huge difference to my grip. Here's a link to a random one so you can see what they look like :) https://www.amazon.co.uk/CellDeal-Exerciser-Strength-Training-Adjustable/dp/B00O2UZNR4/ref=sr_1_1?s=fitness&ie=UTF8&qid=1492032441&sr=1-1
I couldn't find anything short enough (and non-shiny/denim) on Amazon, so I just ordered from discountdance.com. they've got some neat things for around $10 a pop.
Edit: Plus, right now theyve got a special running for first order $5 off :) (WELCOME5)
Edit2: i was going to order these from amazon but a lot of the reviews say its not good for workouts since its not very sweat absorbent and it rides up. It's an option to look at, but i wound up not buying it.
I am a 3X and I got these from Amazon and they're great, especially for the price. The fabric is a little thin, but not seethrough and nothing to worry about, they just may not last as long. My absolute favorite pole shorts though are swimsuit bottoms from Torrid.
So I have significant heart issues and practice pole at home. I have a pacemaker/ICD and take medication to control for heart rate and arrhythmia (haven't had one in 10+ years though so I'm not so worried about that anymore) and pole has been very good with helping me expand my cardiac capacity and exercise confidence. I have to stop to catch my breath quite often and I have a pulse oximeter (which measures heart rate and oxygen saturation) on hand at all times, basically just to reassure myself that I'm fine. (History of anxiety here, as well.)
Most of the gals on Instagram and Reddit make very intensive work look easy. As effortless as it seems, pole is cardio for everyone. If you start to feel bad, stop and reassess.
On another note, I went on a plant-based diet recently and while boring at times, I am feeling terrific and making even better progress than I was before.
I was taught to practice true grip with a pull up band. You knot it about head high and get into true grip, I swing my leg up. The band helps you feel more supported transitioning from the floor to the air and it's less scary. Once you learn the motion with the band, it's easier to practice without. My bad side took longer but now they're both strong! Good luck! pull up band
I also have a stainless pole and, lately, have found it excessively slippery. This normally isn't a problem, but our dew point is significantly higher lately than normal. I'm wondering if that's part of it. What works for me even when it is this slippery is to rub a tiny bit of iTac into the palm of my hand and rub them together to soften and spread it out. Dry Hands hasn't done it lately, but I got this on recommendation from my instructor who uses it religiously haha!

My instructor has recently started teaching beginning pole on Tuesdays. She's amazing. She does Zoom classes all week. Until Shine Fitness in Las Vegas re-opened, I was taking 6+ classes a week with her and have noticeably improved: Jenyne Butterfly Zoom Classes
I just got mine from Amazon. Vinsguir Workout Gloves for Men... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086WWVZLR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The reason why they aren’t really popular is because some dancers view it as “cheating”. But I don’t see it as any different than using a silicone or coated pole.
I use sweat block on my hands before class. This works ok for me. But I do wanna try carpe next. Just to see what works best for me. I especially need a sweat block for my thighs to help with sits. I also have different grips, dry hands for hands and sometimes my thighs. But I also have a tacky spray for my lower legs and will use tac for my thighs as well.
There are many different grips out there too. So sometimes it just comes down to experimenting. Not every formula is gonna work for you.
yes, i made a post about this a couple months ago!
since then, i've purchased this and will spray some directly on my pole and smear it on: Cramer Q.D.A. Taping Base Spray for Athletic Tape
Let me know how it goes!
Straight legs are harder, but as long as you keep them close to you and the hips close the pole there's not reason you should be fine.
Another thing I forgot to mention (/u/girl-replica you too) is if you have trouble with hips leaning away, try to keep the inner leg straight towards the wall from the start. It will counter weight your body and keep you closer the the pole. And as an added bonus it still looks good!
I do it here: https://www.instagram.com/p/8UsTeozNzg/
I feel like in general inverting in Reverse Elbow is just like inverting to Brass Monkey from a Flag hold, minues the mindfuck haha. They are kind of the same with the butt first lift, but the muscle engagement might be different. Brass Monkey needs a lot of oblique strength and a side crunch (my bulging oblique can attest to that!), while the Reverse Elbow is more straight up (think Iguana Mount).
I might film that tutorial then :) In the meantime, here's my earliest successful tuck lifts: https://www.instagram.com/p/lflmJ2TN5E/?taken-by=nightingalemary
You film your attempts and I'll try to help you with that.
For some reason the pole handstand deadlift is easier than the one against the wall. It helps to cheat a little, bend at the arms slightly and bring yourself lower. Also doing negatives - lower down with legs in a straddle until the point of no return and press back up. One day your toes will touch the floor before you hit your point of no return and that means you won. :)
Those are some awesome ideas for other things to deadlift. I'll add this to the list!
I've been working on the Brass Monkey deadlift for many long months, and I got it so you can ask me anything!
The main thing that helped me were realizing that I need to bring my ass up before bringing the legs up. You should basically tilt yourself forward until your head is under your hips, and legs close to you (in a tuck, half tuck or piked).
The second thing is keeping your hips as close to the pole as you can. When your tilt forward, they should go straight up and end up side of thigh to pole. If your hips start to lean away, it makes it much harder to lift, and also indicates lack of oblique strength.
I considered filming a tutorial for it actually, it's one of my favorite moves!
For the Reverse Elbow deadlift, not sure if all the Brass Monkey work helped, but it's kind of the same except your hips can't fall out to the side. Practice hanging in a tucked position and just lifting your butt to the pole then extending the legs. Committing to the movement (one two three GO!) helps lifting until you gain enough strength.
Which variation of the pole handstand did you try? I may have pointers on this one: https://www.instagram.com/p/6Lm8oETN_r/?taken-by=nightingalemary
As many have said Dry Hands....but extra tip if it hasn't been mentioned already, I like to use an antiperspirant lotion prior to going to pole and using grip.
I been trying this one and it seems to work well. There's also Carpe, but I haven't tried it yet.
Sorry mate. I started pole in the UK, I Recommend this grip—
https://www.amazon.co.uk/PoleGrip-alternative-Weightlifting-Bodybuilding-Gymnastics/dp/B082Q4LVMB
It’s just like DryHands. I wish it was available in the States!
The pole should be fine in these temperatures but maybe other polers can say more to that. I would just suggest you to not do everything on concrete. Your body will thank you for it. I've seen poles in garages using those stackable gymnastic floor tiles. There you can buy just as many as you want.
Probably not the highest quality but I've found https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B09G9J18J8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 in medium to be good! I'm definitely shaped similarly, although I tend to wear a size 6 in jeans, for what it's worth.
honestly… idek 😳 my friend got one from amazon and it felt really stable so i just got the one he has.

I usually buy this from my local drugstore. I put it on at night and then wear socks, because it can be greasy.

Idk why Amazon would remove it, there’s a book called My Mom is on the Pole and that’s Okay that was published pretty recently by a stripper. Amazon just cares about making money. They aren’t out here trying to oppress pole moms lmao.
I’m also a Sweaty-Betty! I was slipping all over the place and having allergic reactions to grip lotions. But I recently found success wearing leather motorcycle gloves! My instructor was uncertain at first but is now amazed at the progress I’ve made. I bought the non-insulated kind with open fingers. They fit tighter than pole gloves made with elastic and are less grippy, meaning I can still spin. Plus, I love the edgy look they add to my outfit!

Hi There! Please do not feel discouraged. Learning Pole Dance is a process and it takes times. People going into this come from different backgrounds. I have always found that there will be some tricks you get quicker than others and some tricks you get slower than others. It will come together but do not quit~
Remember - comparison is the thief of all joy.
I put a beginner resource here that hopefully you will find helpful.
BZB womens high waisted yoga shorts I heart raves high wasted booty shorts
These are two pairs I recently got off Amazon. I really like them! The first hot pink pair are a little on the bigger side for me but still super cute.
Pole junkie has A LOT of options & it’s where I’m going to try next, just more pricer.
Update: I remove the tape because it's getting too tacky and it literally burned my hands when I tried to slip down the pole. I want to practice static and still need some of that slip. So I removed the silicone tape. The chrome has no residue, no damage at all. X-Treme Tape TPE-XT2036ZLB... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HWROV0E?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I have these shorts for rollerskating, and they look a little bulky but they're probably better than having straight padding in normal shorts. They're not too bad overall, and might be good for practicing at the very least. There's plenty of other brands that are a little sleeker but more expensive. Some can be worn pretty discretely under normal shorts, but the only issue might be that they're a little longer and might interfere if you're trying to do work on the pole.
I definitely have issues like this. There are multiple factors that make it worse, but the biggest one for me is my neck and jaw muscles. You don't really think about it unless you have a problem, but those muscles are constantly working hard while poling to stabilize your head through all the spinning and inverting. If you have muscular imbalances or chronic tension, that effort can set off the dizzy/nauseous feeling from a tension headache or nerve compression, and it would stick around for a while if the tension isn't resolved.
I manage it with chiropractic, massage, self-massage, and restorative exercises. Here is a stretching routine I use both for warm up and recovery, and you can use a self-massage tool like this or just a tennis ball/golf ball to release your neck muscles.
I hope that helps. My pole workouts definitely go better when I do my neck exercises first (and when I keep up with my self care!)
Can recommend these to wear under your fun sexy ones. I have these under mine (plain boring blac one lol)

Also, I can't go upside down any more and I used to but i just don't remember how. My toes can touch the pole and I get an awful cramp from that and have to fall back.
A phone mirror mount for recording! I need a place to put my phone when I record and I love this one SO much. I want to buy for my instructors at the studio, it isn’t sticky so it won’t mess up the mirrors at all.

They are latex, but it's the powder that is an issue for those of us with allergies. So this set is free of that issue.
Use a grip aid! I can’t pole without mine!
I use this one, liquid grip!
I’m a sweaty one myself so know the struggle. Did a lot of aerial yoga myself because I could grip the silks.
I still sweat a lot but have found that the Tite Grip 2 helps if I put on a ton of it like 30 min before class and then reapply. The deodorant kind, not the tacky kind.
For quick things where I just need an instant dry, I’ve found that Lupit helps. It’s just chalk but it absorbs the moisture instantly so I can go on poling. I might use it 5x during a class honestly.

I love them!
You’ve only done 5 classes and can climb? That’s a huge win in my book. It took me a month to be comfortable with that skill (as in not think about it) by going to class 2-3X a week. I also had pole kisses on my legs at first. They will go away with more experience, I promise. Then you get more bruises when you learn new moves.
If you want to help ease it a little, maybe try out some Mighty Grip socks. I’ve seen others use these at first and it may help with protecting your skin and with griping: https://www.amazon.com/Mighty-Grip-Dancing-Protectors-Gripping/dp/B07C1VB771
My experience—climbing isn’t intuitive when we learn it and it takes constant practice and drilling. Once I sort of learned how to go past 1 climb, I made myself climb up the entire pole on each side for every class. It helped with cardio and just making the moves more second nature. I still do that to this day, mainly for the conditioning benefits.
Be kind to yourself. It will come. The bruising will decrease but you can try the ankle grip if you’d like. You’re doing great and all of this is just constant drilling.
I love these micro thongs! They're super tiny so I don't have to worry too much about them showing through my booty shorts, but they still give an extra layer of protection just in case 😊

Are you using a grip aid? I don’t love em but they should stop the slipping. Any liquid chalk or firm grip for any sport should work.
Also sounds like you could use some grip training devices. I use this set a couple times a week and I’ve seen so much progress!!
I have these kneepads that stick to the pole quite nicely, and I can still do floorwork in them
I use this one, can fit all my shoes, kneepads, grip, outfit changes, water bottle, etc.
Have you tried masks especially made for exercise? I have one I wear for pole because my regular masks make me sweaty. I work in healthcare so I'm used to wearing them all the time but I totally understand why it's uncomfortable for you. Ive used 3B Neat Hand Saver (antiperspirant) under Dry Hands for my extra sweaty days, including knee pits & thighs. I’ve also recently tried a Lupit grip pad & I absolutely love it.
Lupit Grip Padpad (think like climbing chalk almost) to really improve the stick
I got my first pole a few months ago off Amazon, I have some rooms with 9 ft ceilings and some with 12 so I needed something that would extend further too. The pole I got fits 9ft ceilings perfectly but you can get the extender for it which I have heard works great if you need it to go even higher. Here’s the link
From Amazon top and bottom is on the same page. I also have this set in leopard print also.
I use a spray on grip called firm grip. I have used it on the back of the knee and inside of my elbows. Even on my legs when I do layback or climb. As of recently I can pole just fine without using it now but It helped in the beginning tho. I may need to use it again once winter comes. Here is the link.
Agreed that you need much less momentum while going into spins on spinning pole. Think "lifting off" with your feet rather than swinging to get the momentum you need.
If it's an issue with grip on your top arm, I'd suggest a stickier grip aid. I use this stuff sometimes, as it's more tacky on chrome poles: https://www.amazon.com/2Toms-GripShield-Enhancer-Keeps-Bottle/dp/B01JJAVQN6 I find that dry hands feels kind of slidey and dry on metal poles sometimes. Grip aids with a tacky feeling help you hold on a bit longer.

I struggled my whole life with dry callused feet. I bought this 2 piece set and use it at the end of a long shower. It’s fantastic.

I spin super fast for fun randomly on any given day, holds me up nicely! We do tighten it biweekly-ish!
Cheapo PVC leggings will stick pretty dang well on chrome. I have these ($18 on Amazon). Worth noting they don't breathe at all and you will get very sweaty inside the leggings, but they stick, they're cheap, and you don't feel how sweaty you are until you take them off.
Mighty Grip They are definitely not good for static unfortunately. They help me a lot for learning moves on spinning pole though! The grip aids I use are Tight Grip II which is an antiperspirant and then put on Grrrip which is a liquid chalk. I still have to reapply the Grrrip before during my practices but it was a lot better than the other stuff I’ve tried. Imma sweaty bish.
I’m also a 34DDD. There is a brand called CRZ Yoga on Amazon that makes a bra that I am absolutely in love with - I have 4 of them. They’re definitely still athletic/athleisure looking, but the straps in the back are super cute and they look like a crop top as well. I get an XL but can fit into the L as well. I will say - they are pretty decently supportive for a wireless sports bra and are perfect for pole, but I’d never wear them for intense cardio or running because there’s still a little bounce. Link is below!
Also, question for you if you don’t mind - what size SheFit do you wear? I got one in the size Luxe (going off their size chart and measurements) and it’s supportive, but looks absolutely awful on me. Everything is squished and sad looking (LOL) but so many people love it so I’m thinking I got the wrong size??
this isn't about shoe fit but you could get some legwarmers with a cutout for the heel and it would cover that portion of the shoe from view?

I use a camellia essence body lotion from the Korean beauty counter in my local Korean beauty store. It works wonders! Here is a link for Amazon.
I have a VSX (Victoria Secret) bra and I'm busty (34DDD). I really like it when I'm doing pole because it really keeps the ladies in place. It's just dat price that kills me. So if you don't mind the price tag (or you can get one of their coupons) I do recommend them.
Look for High Impact bras. Those are usually the ones you'll want. Only thing is it's hard to find cute ones that function correctly. So you are usually stuck with pretty generic sizes.
I just ordered two (ONE /TWO) sports bras off Amazon today. I'll be honest I'm skeptical. But they were both around $30 (I also did about an hour worth of watching YouTube and reading reviews to make sure people with bigger busts liked them). If anyone is interested I can let you know what I think of them when I get a chance to try them out.

Took a while to find them in my Amazon order history😂 they're great though I never pole without them!
They have dry hands on Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00476MDU8/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_lGBIDbBZ9M85E
But I know some other ones are Girlie Grip and Dew Point. I've never used those tho so I'm not sure if they're as good as dry hands.
I'd browse around stores with the intent of "would I feel cute doing pole in this?"
Literally wear whatever you want it really doesn't matter as long as you're comfortable and can grab the pole.
Swimsuit bottoms can be cute! Just make sure it's a material you like the feel of. I have some super short bike shorts and also pink jersey shorts that, while they definitely aren't long, have a little bit of a flare and are sooo so comfy. I pair them with a cute wired sports bra.
I'm outside of the USA too but I got these on Amazon and they're really nice for pole. https://www.amazon.com/Shorts-Workout-Activewear-Running-Adjustable/dp/B07RKNKGDK
I got this projector light from amazon which I wish it came from somewhere else but it is what it is smh. Also it’s bigger than I anticipated (I forgot to look at the dimensions lol whoops). And I also don’t really like that it makes a melodic sound and a voice comes on and says some shit whenever I turn it on but the lights are so pretty it’s easy to look past what I don’t like about it hahaha
I will say, this one doesn’t respond to the remote the way I want it to all the time, but it’s pretty enough! You might be able to find a better model for only a little more!
I get really motion sick with cars and I used to get dizzy in dance classes a lot but haven’t had many issues with pole so far. I’ve only done static pole which has less spin and so far I’ve only had a couple of moves that have made me feel dizzy. My studio is very chill though so if I ever start feeling dizzy I can always just stop for a second so I don’t start feeling sick.
Spotting (like in ballet) can definitely be used in pole to help you feel less dizzy. Usually your best option would be to keep your eyes locked on the pole but there are some moves that you can choose a spot on the walls.
I haven’t tried it because I haven’t had any big issues with motion sickness yet, but whenever I travel I use motion sickness bands and they have always worked the best for me instead of taking medicine. You could definitely try those if you have any issues. Here are the ones I use if you’re not sure what I mean by motion sickness bands.
Hey, I purchased this one from Amazon and the deep scan mode worked for scanning through my cardboard and popcorn ceilings to find a joist. Deepscan mode is said to be 1.5 inches from their description.

Like /u/suhayla said, it's a butt-clenching effort. The best DVD instructional I know of for it is an older one by the dancer Suhaila; here's the Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Bellydance-Beginners-Suhaila-Fitness-Fusion/dp/B0006H31PI
You might want to try one of these. Recommended by a custom boot maker for care of their boots. Made in the USA, I believe. Other companies make boot dryers, too. Just do a search on Amazon for boot dryers if you don't like the look of the one for which I'm about to leave a link.
I actually just got a high leg cut whole piece cheetah print bathing suit from Amazon that is great quality! I bought a size too small, but I’m trying to lose weight so it might loosen up in the next few weeks and not be as tight in the torso. Good thing about it being a bit snug is the butt is a bit more cheeky ;) The only other issue is being a scoop back and open sided is my boobs like to come out a bit, so I need to wear a sports bra or cropped top over it since I’m a DD. If you are busty, I suggest going up a size.
I’m planning on buying some more in other colors!

I bought the below headphones last year to use while practicing my competition piece during group sessions. I haven’t had an issue with them falling out and since they have a little wire connecting them, if one were to fall out I suppose you would still have the other one in. They’re not very expensive and they hold a decent charge.
