i have growlights like these. and i baked my soil for 6 hours at 250/300 degrees prior to use, i don't know if this did anything but i like to think it killed all the nasties in the soil. I bottom water by soaking in an inch of water for 3 mins once every two weeks. thats all i can think of!
I got it on amazon! It came w zip ties and big clips and I haven’t used those yet, I use Velcro plant ties I bought at Lowe’s. The trellises are nice tho bc they’re attachable
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MF3F37W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_3J9QDb45XBVYD
Not much, I typically spritz them with water every few days. If the leaves on the buried props become wrinkled, I use a water bottle with a spout (like this clear one) to water pretty much right at their roots. When they’re young like that you really gotta make sure their roots stay moist but not over soak them. The ones with leaves should perk back up if they were thirsty.
I’m not OP, but I like this type of soil because it’s essentially impossible to overwater if used with a planter that has drain hole: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072HKXT2S/
Honestly though, any soil works, just have to be careful to not overwater 😊
It’s actually a bonsai soil mix from Amazon!

I dug really deep on Amazon
Only complaint is a few of my stack of unused black trays warped under high 90s direct sun but I should have covered it all up. Lost some props that week too.
I just use a squeeze bottle like this (just the first one I found on amazon): https://www.amazon.ca/Flower-Watering-Bottle-Garden-Transparent/dp/B00XHN9NUK
But this is exactly what I do too, I water a small amount every couple of days to encourage root growth
this grow light from Amazon was going around r/houseplants for a minute. Of course I impulse bought it. I’ve never had one but I really like it because it’s flexible with a clamp. I do believe my plants are happier. My succulents were extremely etiolated before, but now they’re growing well!
Beautiful Views Hanging Window Plant Shelves (4 Shelves) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006S8N2PS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_BhDHCb23WFEV0
They don't seem to have the 2 shelf version I bought anymore. Only the 4 shelf version is available on Amazon.
>mycorrhiza
Now that you gave me the name, I found a scientific article that shows it increases growth and reduces transplant shock. Bummer. Maybe They'll grow back.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094W73RBV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Here it is! I’d love to see photos if you end up getting it! Takes a bit to ship (compared to one day) in my experience but definitely worth it
Oh! I have an albo wetstick that’s doing very well in this type of setup under a grow light as well!

this is the grow light I ordered :)
These are small but great for baby succulents and other small props. Each cell is 1.5" x 1.5" and 2.25" deep. It doesn't come with holding trays, you have to get those separately or buy a different bundle, but the price is great for 120 little 6-cell packs. They're not nursery standard; they're smaller than that. I bought this pack last spring and have gotten so much use out of them! They're thin and cheap but when you're just raising up small plants, they're great. I grow my garden seedlings in them too to start with, except for the largest items. 😊
Been using this one I bought when in Japan, but found what looks like the same one on Amazon. Can lightly tap it close to prop roots for a teensy bit of water or pump it over my broad leafed plants for serious misting when needed.
It’s a Root Farm LED grow light! I got it on a clearance sale at my job luckily but Amazon and EBay have them! It’s a great light with barely any heat output.
I used two different brands, they all use the same hooks I just wanted a variety of shapes.

yes!! they’re polymers that hold water. i like using them for props because they can have as much water as they need without being drenched. it’s called soil moist, here’s an amazon link: Soil Moist JCD-05SM 8-Ounce Granules - 100047002 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002CA8WO2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_TJdkFbBQW4BCB

fungus gnat paper does wonders, it's simple yet effective. since each fungus gnat can lay hundreds of eggs, each one you snag reduces the population substantially. you can also use beneficial nematoads or mosquito dunks but i don't even bother with those for gnats at this point.
This is what I normally use for rooting hormone. They have it at most big box garden centers.
it came with a succulent kit i got and i love it. something similar to this. but i did get a little squirt bottle kinda like this when i had my son. 😂🤷🏻♀️
I have something similar to the first one and I’ve had tons of growth on my Ruby necklace and string of hearts. They sell mesh pads that cover the hole & keep the soil from coming out. I haven’t tried them, but they do work. This is one brand:
https://www.amazon.com/Mesh-Pad-Planter-Folowerpots-Hole/dp/B08H8JSMK6
I use three of these linked below in a special grow light fixture, my windows are north facing and dont offer bright light so I supplement with grow lights and my plants love them, I recommend to anyone who doesnt have the perfect lighting in their house. Only one room in my house has actual good natural light.
here ya go straight from China, cheap. The tiny black hose hooks up to the spigot directly. The misleading and tricky bit is that the tiny hose can only support 4 emitters at full strength. 4 emitters can easily cover a 2'x2' square. If you need more I'd suggest manifold with an adapter for any additional lines
Same! I love the purply blue ones too😍
For fertilizer I mostly use Schultz cactus plus! By mostly I mean that I occasionally (but frequently enough lol) use Dyna Gro Foliage Pro. Usually that’s only when I have some left in my watering can (from watering my leafy plants) and notice a succulent that could use a watering lol. I don’t specifically alternate between the two fertilizers, and I always reach for the cactus fertilizer if I have a choice between the two! I’m only mentioning the second fertilizer because I do it frequently enough that it might make a difference, so it’s a more accurate answer😆
A bunch of the ones in your picture don’t look like they are in good enough condition to even try with. I’ve had pretty good luck using a bowl directly under a grow light. Also, for me misting leads to rot. I used a bent tip wash bottleto wet the dirt around the base of the leaves and keep the leaf itself dry. I find the nozzle makes it easy to direct the water. My soil tray is pretty shallow, so it’s dry by morning and I water every day to get them to prop. Good luck!
It’s this one. Honestly I’m really happier with it for the price.
This light fixed my jellies 💕

You could try keiki paste. I’ve used it on some bare pothos nodes. The sprouted new stems. It takes a while though. This is what I used.
Huh, TIL the difference between tubers and rhizomes, thanks!
If anyone else is curious:
>Tubers and rhizomes are both modified underground plant stems that serve as storage organs, but they function in two slightly different ways:
Growth pattern: Tubers can grow in any direction, while rhizomes grow horizontally under the ground and sprout new growth along the underground stem as they grow.
>
>
Reproduction: Both tubers and rhizomes can create new plants, but they do it in slightly different ways. Tubers have nodes (often called “eyes” on potato tubers) that appear anywhere on the flesh and sprout both new shoots and new roots, while rhizomes sprout roots along the bottom of the growth and stems along the top.
I am using this one currently and I've been seeing good results. I keep like light within 6 inches or so of most of my succulents and none of them have gotten burned or anything. Nice little setup if you have a smaller collection.
The rooting hormone in this product, IBA, will work on succulents, yes. Sometimes the outer coating is a little waxy, ostensibly to keep the liquids inside the plant, but a tiny bit of IBA goes a very long way. Try a rooting powder if you wish.
Thanks! Keeping my fingers crossed! I haven’t done it before. So it’s pure chance anyway! 😂 And my friend brought it me for my birthday (she knows me well!), it’s from Amazon; Propagation Station 3 Pcs Bulb Vase Glass Sweet Pea Vase for Flowers Terrarium Jar Planter with Wooden Rack Stand Holders for Green Water Plants Fit for Home Kitchen Table Desk Indoor Decor https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08CDKD6H2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_6DBQ5XD8G0MK92ERSGZR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I dont recommend it for large areas. Only smaller pots like this as it isn't very strong. Some of my plants etoliated under this when I had 2 large pots under it.
Yes it is! Thank you so much! I just fertilize it with those miracle gro koolaid-like packets and have it under a very strong light. It’s strong enough for succulents: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NCVWFUE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_dl_F3P2BW4HGSENW7442Z0G?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Buy this double sided tape and put a few strips under your pot to tape them down to whatever you're siting them on. I've had to do this for various things around the house (including my plants) and no more of this bullshit lol.
Thanks! I absolutely love them in that corner!

it says these ones are unavailable but there's many more just like them!
They have hooks already screwed into the frame of the prop stations and each one comes with these little plastic bits that nail into the wall and hold them up. You can see the plastic bits in the 5th photo and the hooks on the back are shown in the 6th photo.
Found it on amazon. Just did another quick search and this one seems to be the lowest price at the moment. There are a number of people selling them on there.
I used this one from Amazon. It’s the first rooting hormone I’ve ever used. It’s a gel so I poured some out into a small glass and then dipped the tips of each leaf directly into it.
I start by laying my leaves on trays until I notice signs of leaves & roots forming then I move them to shallow terracotta (I use these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GNSQLWV/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_S3XY2P9JEG2FE9HKXD5B) with a fine substrate that is a mix of sand, peat moss and vermiculite. I water them with a syringe so I can be precise about getting liquid on the roots but not the leaves. Then when the leaf has died off I usually move them to a dish I consider my nursery with other similar sized babies.
Thank you! I do put the props directly under the light, just as is pictured here! though, when a prop is BRAND new it's usually just sitting on a different shelf until the wound callouses over, then into the circle shallow pans with the others! the CFL curly lights in the one picture are just 6500K CFL bulbs mainly because i ran out of what i use everywhere else, which is... everywhere else (there's 5 other shelves) use under cabinet LED lights, 6500K color temperature (that's important!). nothing special, i found the cheapest i could get on Amazon and bought a TON of them. also used them under the cabinets in our kitchen and started a grow shelf there, too! links below
LED strip lights: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FF7C7KF/ just make sure they're 6500K! for these i took off the plastic light filter thing so they're just exposed LEDs. each shelf has 2 of these shout 6-8" above the plants
the curly CFL bulbs: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00M6SR1JM again, 6500K color temperature.
honestly it doesn't matter much what lights you use as long as you get 6500K, and watch out for too much heat coming off of the bulb. CFL and LED don't get too hot
if you're talking about the purple/green/blue/yellow ones - Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V9M6B2Y
If you mean the bottom shelf (barely in view, so probably not those) they are foam egg cartons, with holes poked in the bottom of each section and the top half cut off and placed underneath as a drip pan.
the props go through 3 stages: 1. sitting on top of some soil in a small try (first picture), here they get very targeted water to develop deep root growth 2. into egg cartons (the foam kind) so they can grow bigger and expand their roots 3. into the cute colorful plastic pots, and i sell them at this point! i usually let them sit in those pots of a few weeks to establish themselves in their new home, and then sell them!
There are special pots you can buy for them. I have 3 and love them. My violets bloom all year. There is a round base that you add water to then the pot sits in the top and absorbs the water as needed. I only refill mine when the leaves start to droop.

I got these off of Amazon. It showed up in my suggested items an I thought it would be cute wall decor
I think that’s just the color of the succulent when it gets the proper amount of light. My apartment has very little sun and I live in a colder area. These are the lights I have:

Switch to semi hydro! I have not seen a gnat in years and I have...{{{wait....I don't think I can count them all bc I have so many...}}} a TON of plants from finicky anthuriums to korean succulents and several monstera albo.
Seriously though, LECA is the best, especially for people like me who are totally freaked by bugs and germs (don't ask how I have ended up with so many plants despite my aversion to soil bc I do not have a logical answer!) If you're not up for switching, grab some of this (link below) because it's truly the only thing that keeps those nasty gnats away. I use it for my succulents despite the fact that they're in a soiless mix. The best part is that you don't have to apply but once every three months!

It's been in there maybe two and a half months? It's under some cheap Amazon grow lights my succulents seem to love, a lot of them are lightly sun stressed and the lights give off the tiniest bit of warmth.
Watering wise, I use those little clear plastic lab squirt bottles like these for all my succulents and I've just been soaking it about once a week! Bulbasaur actually has a lil drainage hole it's perfect! I didn't expect it to sprout so many babies from a half shriveled and overly treated leaf lol

I’m not too sure, I usually set the thermostat on mine to 72 degrees. :) careful not to set it too high. The heat helps to trigger root development, and to discourage the plant from putting energy into new growth.
I only have a rotary hammer I bought during remodeling, so used it on the "just drilling" setting with a 6 mm bore/bit for concrete.
And with a regular drill, bits for tiles and glass should be your tool of choice. Like these.
To prevent overheating of the jar and the drill I poured some water in the jar, like 1/3 or its full volume.

P.S. English isn't my first language and I never discussed such themes in english before, so I explained the best I could :)
On Amazon they're marked as 1.1 x 1.5in. the 1.1in is across the bottom, though. I measured across the top and they're just under 2in in diameter.
Edit: here's the link https://www.amazon.com/Mini-Terra-Cotta-Pots-Succulent/dp/B0722QR3FM
They have a slightly bigger size (1.2 x 1.6in) as well!
Ha, yeah mine are just some cheap ones from amazon. Got em just to try out the hoody, see if I enjoyed ignoring plants for a few months haha

I snagged these from amazon and they all look good so far
Price went up to $27 overnight evidently. I paid $19.99 last night! I chose this one because it has a clamp to clip onto my table, 60W vs most others with 30W, and 3 wand arms that will work perfectly for me because I use a corner area for my plants. This will fan out perfectly. Also has timers and color modes. I don’t know much about the different light modes, but plan on doin some in depth research and experimentation!
I would recommend a shop vac over a regular vacuum cleaner. They’re made for messier messes and can handle moisture, while moisture can fuck up your everyday vacuum.
My next step would be to either rent a rug doctor from the hardware store or buy a bissell wet vacuum off of Amazon. They’re iirc $120 or less depending on the size of the vacuum and the amount of cleaners and accessories you buy. Lastly, I’d recommend getting some kind of rug or plastic mat to put under your plant area so that cleanup is a lot easier next time. You could get a really cute runner or something like this. It’s clear so it won’t mess with the color scheme of the room and it’s so very practical. Plus, it comes in multiple sizes!
Hey guys :)
I am graphic designer and have designed something for the gardening society.
Was wondering whether you like?
I was also coming to share my similar one, may be helpful cause it looks like your link only has one left in stock! This brand also comes in a 2-tier and 3-tier size
Nice!! Do you do individual succulent leaves or do you cut the stem?
This is something similar I’ve used! But I need to try out the ones from dollar tree!!

these are the gooseneck lights i bought off of amazon. i understand that these cheap lights might not be the true industrial level LED lights, but i think they work great for propagating stuff inside. as soon as i set my lights on my prop tray it almost immediately responded with roots and leaves
There is an updated version of the American Horticultural Society Plant Propagation (1999) book titled "Propagating Plants: How to Create New Plants for Free" (2019) by Alan Toogood (editor). It is available on Amazon for about $24 for hardcover and $12 for Kindle. I own the older AHS version of the book and really learned a lot about all the different types of propagation (seeds, cuttings, grafting, layering, etc). It is very easy to read. It also covers all types of plants such as trees, shrubs, bulbs, cacti/succulents, annuals, perennials, etc. On Amazon, you can view a sample of the book which shows both the table of contents and the complete index. If you are only interested in propagating houseplants through cuttings, this book won't teach you anything new that you can't find for free on the internet. https://www.amazon.com/Propagating-Plants-How-Create-Free/dp/1465480129/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Propagating+Plants%3A+How+to+Create+New+Plants+for+Free&qid=1579172880&s=books&sr=1-1
I ordered mine off of amazon! The two sellers I purchased from are linked below! ☺️☺️☺️
