For a very brief starter from my own limited knowledge, the present day Ukranian Nazis are direct descendents of the Ukranian Nazis of the 1930s. Rescued from the USSR by America, their cause kept alive in Ukraine through CIA activity and finally allowed to bloom when the USSR fell apart and the forces of Reaction permitted to triumph.

2014 seems to be when the Ukranian Nazis achieved complete victory. Overthrowing the government, outlawing the Communist party, burning Communists alive and targeting ethnic Russian Ukranians.

The current crisis is the reaping of the fetid soils of Maidan.
