how about these? first google result for "hd600 travel case"
(600, 650, 660s, 6xx, etc etc are all the exact same form factor)
They sell a replacement cable at a reasonable price
I have my original stuff for 4-5 years and it still works like gold, so I cannot speak to the replacement quality, But if I was having issues this is where I would start.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KAKBHKM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I purchased this one 3 years ago and I still find that it works well.
Don't man PC38x doesn't need a dac amp.. only get it if you want and will be using its features. Otherwise, buy a USB A to C adapter like this
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07L92KPBB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_07ASTQRKCYGHGN9QX7MC
And
Add add this dongle
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07K25P3N1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_7ZNV4G2VG36W7CEVKPP9
Trust me, this dongle is better than most cheap dac amps.
Go on amazon and look up the replacement 558 cable or something similar and you'll find something.
I've heard good things about this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KAKGQCQ/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_4LBfxb2H788TG
I'm in need of some replacements for my ZEROs as well (leather split open and the memory foam is exposed and falling apart).
I'm located in the United States. Where is the best place that I can order these? These are the correct ones from Amazon right? https://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Cushions-SENNHEISER-HD380-Pro-Headphones/dp/B005MB8E1Y

I got these from amazon and they work great.
I have Comply Foam Tips on my MTW2 and they are very secure in my ear.
I use the "Sennheiser-specific" version of these tips. They're not specifically designed for the MTW2 and it takes some fidgeting to get them on the earbuds. However, once they're on, they are fantastic.
I don't own these so take that into account. I would recommend ordering some foam ear tips for the ear buds. Amazon has plenty of options. That had resolved fit issues I've had in the past. Best of luck. Here is a link to some that should work???

GSP 600 is noise isolating, not cancelling. Essentially like cupping your ears with your hands. It can be upgraded with an amp/dac but TBH it's not going to make noticeable difference. These headphones aren't meant for their musicality.
The GSP 550 is self sufficient yes.
If you're wanting sound quality but the use of a mic then others suggest going with a mod mic type set up which attached onto the headphone.
I personally don't use that setup. I just have a mic on my desk and use my HD800S. It's all preference.
For better sound quality higher end gaming headsets aren't going to benefit you.
For me I have these because I realize it's not worth the money to me to go much higher.

These are the ones for MTW3. I’d say a 30-40% improvement in bass and noise isolation. This is the mixed pack so you can get the right size.

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same headset. This is the one I'm talking about
I use these to absorb all the sweat. Keeps the ear pads moisture free. Wash them in the sink over time and then put it back on the same way so I don't overstretch both sides but only one. Putting it on stretches one side and you should remember which side so the one that is going on your ear stays more closed. There is a small hole on the ends of them (so you can use the 3.5MM jack from the XM4s) as an indicator of which side I stretch it when placing it on the ear pads. Hope this helps so it doesn't stick on your skin. I used them for the Sony XM4 and XM5:https://www.amazon.com/WH1000XM3-WH1000XM2-Headphones-Stretchable-Protectors/dp/B07QHD7S2L/ref=sr\_1\_3?crid=WMP9ZGO0Z75R&keywords=sony+xm4+ear+muffs&qid=1663953198&s=electronics&sprefix=sony+xm4+ear+muffs%2Celectronics%2C197&s...
I know this is ancient, but it's still a popular google result - If you install the Sennheiser app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sennheiser.control it has a setting called "Sidetone", and adjusting that to "Min" or "Off" helped a lot for me
Thank you for your reply! It seems most people are able to get the well known 3rd party tips on with a little extra effort, as I’m seeing around. First time I’m hearing specifically about Sony’s XM4 stock foam tips. I guess the main concern then is the exposed sound port as most eartips I see have a normal, exposed center hole. I understand the stock MTW3 eartips have the little protective foam in the eartip itself instead of in front of the sound port.
I’ve been holding off on picking up these earbuds because of some possible issues, main one being them not properly seating in the charging case. So then they don’t charge and can connect to your phone while in the case. Some other issues/ design choices as well. These new AirPods that were just announced sound like they will easily outdo the MTW3s as an overall package. But they might not do better in sound performance if they don’t improve the weak bass response from the original AirPods Pro. I’ll have to check out their frequency response measurements when they drop in a few weeks. See where I go from there.
Appreciate your reply! If you or anyone else wants to try some quality 3rd party silicone tips, these ones from AZLA are pretty nice. They’re unique in that they do have a protective mesh in the center to help keep debris from getting to the port.
The MT4, like most other headphones with calling capabilities, pairs to a PC as two different devices. You'll have a standard stereo output and a hands-free calling output. The stereo output cannot work in conjunction with the microphone. To use your mic, you will need to use the hands-free device. The caveat is that the hands-free device is much lower quality. It's fine to make a call, but not fine to use as headphones all the time.
That being said, bluetooth latency is no good for gaming without the proper codecs. AptX-Adaptive is great but you need a transmitter since not many devices support it yet. Enter the Creative BT-W4 which I've been using for a few weeks. It works great and also comes with an analog mic that should work with your controller.
I agree, Adaptive's 80 msec is too high, and LL at < 40 is usually good enough. That said, for a number of reasons, I gave up on BT for serious TV viewing and run optical to a DAC/amp combo for wired headphone listening. Luckily, my room/seating setup was amenable to this.
But about these new adapters, I almost wish I had ordered this one a few days ago when it was still available, even though I have no use for it right now. Now Amazon says there's a 1-2 month wait. Very interesting device, claims to do both LL and Adaptive, and has all the inputs covered.
https://www.amazon.com/eppfun-Bluetooth-aptX-Adaptive-Transmitter-Connection/dp/B0B5GR27MX
No, because Xbox doesn't support bluetooth audio connections. It uses Xbox Connect which is a proprietary 2.4GHz connection IIRC.
You can get a 3.5mm transmitter (I don't think USB will work) like this but it can only do transmitting (sound) or receiving (microphone) at once so it won't work as far as a 'headset' would go. I also definitely wouldn't recommend buying a premium pair of headphones and using them with a 3.5mm transmitter as you're going to generally lose audio quality.
I would recommend getting a headset that specifically is designed for an Xbox. Microsoft's own Xbox-brand headsets really aren't that bad. Or like someone else mentioned, SteelSeries makes an Xbox version of their Arctis headset which is pretty good quality.
Yep, easy fix.
get some Replacement pads for the PXC550. Unclip the old ones off, and clip on the new ones.
Here is a video on YT, for a quick 'How to'.
good luck!
EDIT: You find replacement earpads here at Amazon by audio equip.
More than that, it seems like overkill to spend that kind of $$$ on an earbud for biking. I use a $30 pair that's IPX8 and very secure, and has a case that will last me most of the summer without requiring a recharge, so I can just keep it in the bike bag:
This one is quite nice. A bit microphonic, but not a problem if you're just sitting somewhere. My only other complaint is that the metal bit at the 2.5mm end is rather short, so you don't have that much area to grip when you're twisting the locking mechanism.
I've had the same issue with a brand new PC38x. I ended up buying a replacement cable and it solved my problem. replacement cable
I ended up buying the Comply true grips https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W3Q2C7F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 made for the Momentum, Momentum 2 True Wireless, CX-400BT Earphones and they fit the CX True Plus perfectly. - Sorry In my initial post I realize I did not mention these are cx true plus.
To the point, I do not get fatigue from the foam tips like I do with the silicone tips. I can wear these all day long now. I really enjoy these earbuds alot and the foam is a must, I dont know why they dont just sell foam as an alternative. I wear them from 8am to lunch almost everyday.
I went with these. They took a slight bit of "give and take" to get in, but once they were in, they stayed.

Hey TofuVic,
I too was waiting for Comply to come out with MTW3-specific ear tips. I did some searching and purchased these off of Amazon. They do fit the MTW3's WITH a little bit of give and take, so take my words with a grain of salt. I can't stand the silicone ear inserts so I opted to bite the bullet and try the ones I purchased above. So far they seem to be working fine.

No, don't do an adapter as I told you on the other thread. If you get a correctly wired 2.5 to 2.5 cable though that should work.

Hopefully this would be good?
Yay overall. I use it as my only headphones for PC gaming for like two years now, exclusively wireless.
I personally never tried to use it directly with my PC's BT but instead connected an external BT transmitter to the SPDIF (optical digital connection) of my soundcard. I am not sure if you even can get aptX LL (which really is a total must for gaming with a BT headphone) directly software wise through Windows, but I decided to use my solution to have a higher power transmitter with more reach placed in my apartment in a way that lets me basically stay connected 24/7 no matter where I am and if my PC is turned on or not.
I had some problems with crackling with some two of the available aptX LL transmitters that my Sennheiser MTW1 didn't had so I assume its an headphone issue but the one I use right now works perfectly, with the one caveat that after freshly connecting the headphones I need to restart the transmitter once. I stumpled upon this method on accident and do assume that it would have also worked simply by restarting the other two units.
Anyway, this is what I use.
https://www.amazon.de/Asixxsix-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Wireless-default/dp/B09YQ5X2W9
I can't say anything about the mic because I haven't used it even once and likely can't the way I have connected the headphones.
What keeps me with the Momentum 3 though is the really amazing sound quality even in the wireless mode. I haven't used it wired enough to really say how much better it sounds that way. But if you really only use it wired you likely get either better sounding cans for the same price or the same audio quality for cheaper (I assume).
> 2) I've got a generic usb v5 dongle, will that be fine for aptx LL or do I need a specific one
If you go the dongle route better get those special aptx LL capable dongles. Those won't show up as BT devices btw (and can be used with another BT dongle installed) but instead identify as USB audio devices to your computer.
Both UK and USA links there for the same one.
I use it with my S20 and it's pefect. I used a Samsung one before but always felt quite loose and sometimes the audio playing would pause, but the Anker one I've linked has none of that and works great.
You can just get a TRRS male to female extension cable to use with the single unified cable (which is TRRS) for console/mobile device usage.
Something like this: Cable Matters 2-Pack Headset Extension Cable 6 ft (3.5mm Extension Cable/TRRS Extension Cable, Gaming Headset Extension Cable) with Mic Support in Black - 6 Feet https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KFK61YH/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_G958NB51CK9M2NWA8985?psc=1
my motherboard couldn't drive pc37x properly, i got this https://www.amazon.com/Behringer-UMC22-BEHRINGER-audio-interface/dp/B00FFIGZF6
It would yes work yes, you can attach it to any headphone or headset for any ModMic (Uni, or Wireless), but you will also need a TRRS 3.5 mm splitter if you don't already have one. Then you plug the ModMic into the mic input port and the PC37X headset into the audio output port of the splitter with it connected to your controller.
The PC37X has a fairly unique connector in the left earcup that Sennheiser usually calls UPN. So if you search for "Sennheiser UPN" cable you will find what is available online. The shortest one I could find was the 4.3 ft NewFantasia UPN cable on Amazon
You would want to either find a shorter version of this, or find a way to cleanly cable manage it to your VR headset.
They are still out of stock, but I was able to find the listing for both Graphite (Black) and White:
After my OEM cable deformed so bad I bought the NewFantasia cable, they work just as good as the original, at max max volume without any sound it give me the same ground noise as the originals, they are the same thickness and its rubber. Some amazon reviews states they give cross talk noise with the microphone, the reality is that is not truth, the microphone on the open back pick up sound by the open design, especially at high volume but its not crossing any sound or noise in the cable itself, it works just like the gen cable. Link if interested: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P73QRH1/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_E3Y5FJDA7DKXK47SE6W5
Looks like it will be fine 4 stars, its just 4 wires and a some copper at the end of the day.
I got these from Amazon Brainwavz Replacement Earpads for ATH M50X, M50BT, Steelseries Arctis, Pro Wireless & Stealth 600, HyperX Cloud, AKG, SHURE, Philips & Many More Headphones, Memory Foam Ear Pad Cushions, Black Oval https://www.amazon.in/dp/B00MFDT894/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_G2NQ24TCSHFW0215WTZW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 , and they are not bad , little bigger than original that were there with headphones but not super big or uncomfortable as such.
I apologize. I was wrong. The HD650/600/660s ear pads are compatible with the 58x. They also can be found online readily. Here’s a link for to Sennheiser for reference, or here for Amazon.

If your main usage of the headphones are to use at home only, it will be much better for you to get wired headphones instead of wireless. Not only because of battery, but also the fact that Bluetooth headphones will never sound as good as wired headphones. Since you mentioned the Momentum 3, I am guessing your budget is around $200. For that, you can either get the Sennheiser HD 560S if you want open-back, or Meze 99 Neo if you want closed back.
Sennheiser HD 560s
I am guessing you will only be using the headphones at home, because both of these headphones are open-back, which means they leak sound, and they do not block sound from outside. You don't really need an amp for these headphones.
Return it, you can get the MTW2 for probably the same price as what you got those for on Amazon, although they will be in used like new condition. I did that after coming across the listing on Amazon, which suspiciously you can’t find by just searching up the headphones. Anyways here’s the link to the Amazon post (which is sold by Amazon warehouse btw) for the MTW2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084ZLF1TH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_D1A929R9A68WJYWVFA40?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I use this one for mine. It looks alright and it sure as hell is a lot more comfortable than the standard headphones' cushion.
Yep. Same thing happened to my exact model. I’ve gotten a pair of Momentum 3’s since then but keep these as my backup pair and got these to fix them: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0105DVQFE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_ZMW3JBZ5TN4VSYTE4A14?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Sennheiser does sell replacements but if I remember correctly they are like $40 and I didn’t want to put that into these headphones after they were almost 10 years old. If you get those replacement pads, I recommend glueing or otherwise fixing them to the ear pieces. Good luck!

Genuine Sennheiser Replacement UNP CC Console Cable for Game ONE, Game Zero, PC 373D, GSP 350, GSP 500, GSP 600 Gaming Headset
A bit late to the party, but can confirm that I was able to fit these genuine replacement pads off Amazon to my old HD 280 pro (had them since 2009) without an issue, with the caveat that the fit is so snug that it took me an hour or so to get them on.
Hello,
i had same issues with mine 4.40 BT! But just 5 min ago i found the solution... hope it will help you.
I've disabled the App access to my Mic. Here is the guide.

Thanks for the reply! I've also heard that cables for the 500 series will work.
Do you know why the Momentum cable won't work?
If it doesn't, I found these shorter NewFantasia cables for anyone else looking for this post: https://www.amazon.com/NewFantasia-Replacement-Sennheiser-Headphones-1-5meters/dp/B00KAKBHKM/?th=1
Thanks for the reply!
I'm planning to use HD560s with Ablet boom mic cable, this one.
So same cable for both sound and microphone. I'll give it a try, if it wont be enough, I think I will add AMP/DAC combo to my battlestation.
Thanks sir!
Nope - you’ll need something advertised for the 598’s. I made the mistake a little while back for the same situation
I ended up buying a pack from Geekeria. They’re like 15 bucks on Amazon.com
Sennheiser HD 599 SE and then get a separate mic if you need one. Don't get the newer Sennheiser gaming headsets by EPOS unless you have a really tiny head. I tried the Sennheiser EPOS GSP 600 and while it's a good headset, it's so tight that it hurt my head and I had to return it. I found many others with the same complaint.
Comply website has compatibility checker. Cx plus not listed but CX400BT, MTW2, CX all are recommended to be used with these:
Not used them myself though.
sorry for necroing this, but i do have an answer! I just finished repairing my Game Zero's and replacing some worn/broken/missing pieces to the hinge with 3D printed replacements. I have disassembled it pretty much down to plastic clips, screws and other bits.

All the electronics are inside the earpieces. the only thing that passes through the head band is a 3-wire cable that carries the signal from the left cup (where the removable cable comes in) to the right cup.
If you're careful with it, you could wash the headband part GENTLY (and be sure not to get any water on the ear pieces) and be fine.

If you want to replace the headband, i found this on scamazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Replacement-Sennheiser-Headband-Stopper/dp/B072KLMG96/. I haven't personally purchased this, but it's the only thing i was able to find for it. Hopefully it does fit
Yep. Comply with tech defender from Amazon. Here's a link: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W3Q2C7F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
That kind of sucks. You can buy this official adapter , but if you can return that cable and buy the replacement from drop.com you’ll get the right size cable and might be cheaper? Anyway, you don’t need to buy the Sennheiser adapter, it’s just for example purposes.
The one I got will not come off. It’s the HD650 Sennheiser 3m Replacement Cable for HD650, Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0028PGXRE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZH4VMQSQGG59G72TG7WC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Hi there. Their new CX PLUS that looks like it is due Sept 28th shows as having 'independent earbud use' in the Amazon USA listing:
Only thing is, the shell looks more like the shape of CX400BT and CX true wireless. I don't find the CX400BT uncomfortable but I notice them slightly more on the part of the outer ear where the housing rests, compared to MTW2, so I can't guarantee that comfort will be exactly the same.
Sound should be similar though, and will have to wait for reviews to see if ANC/transparency mode are as good/better/worse.
Found the listing on amazon USA today, will be available from 28th Sept.
EDIT: I was able to find listing on amazon when searching again today, above info is all accurate, and is available for pre-order.
I’ve been looking for the same thing. You could cut and solder it yourself but I don’t trust myself doing that so I just bought a cable manager it’s not the best looking solution but it does the job
Are you searching for a auxiliary cable?, if so you could just buy any auxiliary cable from Amazon doesn’t have to be super high quality (What model of Momentum’s do you have? [1,2,3]) Momentum 1’s are wired from two onward they are wireless. Here is the cable I use : different sizes available -Syncwire 3.5mm Nylon Braided Aux Cable (3.3ft/1m,Hi-Fi Sound), Audio Auxiliary Input Adapter Male to Male AUX Cord for Headphones, Car, Home Stereos, Speaker, iPhone, iPad, iPod, Echo & More – Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I0SI1SG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_D2H0QJP74KQ33FMYYGRS?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
OH, and for the topping dac/amp, you can use xlr cables instead of rca for a better balanced connection instead of single ended with rca cables. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085ZVPVYL/ref=sspa_dk_detail_5?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B085ZVPVYL&pd_rd_w=e7WIy&pf_rd_p=887084a2-5c34-4113-a4f8-b7947847c308&pd_rd_wg=soqZH&pf_rd_r=DFR0F7M98PCQJGS4P5CN&pd_rd_r=97683858-077a-4435-9273-3c044...
You may have to use the other cable if your laptop doesn't support separate mic inputs. Also that port may not support the two in one cable either.
You can try to his also. Get an apple usb-c to 3.5mm dongle and this adapter. SENNHEISER PCV 05 Combo Audio Adapter https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00IM36VU0/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_EA88G3MWH4WCM3H284J8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
If your mic works like that then it's something messed up with your Mobo.
Other last option. Crank your mic input volume to 100% if you didn't already do it and give it an extra 10db mic boost.
USB2.0 USB-C 3A charging cables can get fairly thin and flexible since they use thin gauge wires.

I would recommend just getting this for under $10
Edit: Amazon link (slightly more expensive)
I didn't like the how the original ones were a bit too small for my ears, so I bought these:
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00MFDT894/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_Fev8DbE242RZM?th=1 in dark red. They no longer hurt my ears. The sound did not suffer either.

Considering the age of these headphones, is it likely to restock? I do see them on Amazon for $39 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081SRYVF5) but if I can get it for $24 I would rather get it for $24.

No mods to it, it plugs in just like the cable provided in the 560s box
the perfect headphones for you
but not if you really want a mic
Creating a low end product with bad internals even though much better stuff already exists. These buds could sound better with aptx hd, But they used a chip that doesn't support any of the high end codecs so that they can "improve" the expensive product within a year or 2. That's planned obsolescence. the better chip cost next to nothing to buy. So the only alternative that's left is planned obsolescence. If these guys can get aptx adaptive working, so can seenheiser. https://www.amazon.com/SoundPEATS-Sonic-APTX-Adaptive-Headphones-TrueWireless/dp/B08XBNP5XW/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=aptX+adaptive+in+ear&qid=1618895583&sr=8-6
IIRC with just the 3.5mm cable, you won't be able to use the onboard mic for the Momentum 2s with a PC. I don't think the electronics support it.
Not sure about if connecting your headphones to the PC using a USB jack will make them work as a headset, I haven't used that functionality enough.
If your Thinkpad's audio jack supports a combined 3.5mm headset, one option might be to get a wired replacement cable that has an in-line mic built in, like this:

I have the comply foam in large https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W45LHBT
Size wise they are right between stock medium (which was too small for me and made a bad seal) and stock large (which made a good seal but was too tight and caused discomfort within 30 minutes)
Some people say they get dirty easily, which there's some truth to that, but they're easy to clean off. I'm still on my first tips (they come in three packs) after nearly a year.
~~All good! In all honesty, I only own one pair of BT headphones (VERY picky), and it's the Sony XM4's, which are excellent. Given your price requirement, even the Sony XM3's are excellent, and can be found for right around $200 (give or take). They're so insanely comfortable and light, you almost get to the point of feeling like you're not even wearing them. The noise cancelling is great, and even the sound is really quite good.~~
~~If you can find a deal on the XM4's though, they have some added features, including the latest BT standard, and the ability to switch between two devices at once automatically. I'm not one for Sony headphones, as Senny's have become my fave, but Sony does BT exceptionally well, and are pretty much as good as it gets. If noise cancelling is mostly not needed, try looking at some of the lesser models just below these.~~
Forget everything I just said! lol. I just remembered the headphones I got for my parents (got each a pair), and these puppies are phenomenal. My parents are bass heads, and these MORE than satisfy that need. Check 'em out. The only downside I've seen is that they do have hard plastic hinges, etc. that are prone to cracking or breaking, but take care of them, and this'll probably become one of your favorite pairs of headphones. Can't comment much on the mic, as my parents don't really use it, but it does have 'em. These fall right into your price range, and I think you'd be quite happy with 'em.
So would ear pads from the 598 work on something like the 569? I was thinking about buying this because mine are getting gross as I'm wearing them 10+ hrs a day being under quarantine.
This is what you want. See the Tech defender aspect? Find this on your Amazon in your Country. This is USA or maybe they will ship. What a pain in the ass..
amazon. The cable is the same for just about every Sennheiser gaming headset. This will work.
Sorry i was talking about the adapter, not really pricey but didnt have the best reviews for the price.

Only one i found like it thou, wish there was other options.
I don't know exactly what you're hearing, but my PC audio improved dramatically since I got a discreet USB audio adapter. It was under $20 and had a TRRS connector. Even if it doesn't fix your issue, it's a cheap way to test it.
This might be the one I got: https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-External-Support-Headphone-Windows/dp/B08G44JY6Q/
I do not, but I do recommend the Slappa Hardbody case or this one from Accessory House for your momentum 3s.
They are but bulky but the overall quality and protection of these two far exceed their price.
Edit: I should mention though that Geekria has many solid products that I’ve bought before, so it’s a brand that I wouldn’t shy away from.
