> They knocked and announced themselves, despite what some non-disinterested neighbors claim.
The only people who think the officers announced themselves are said officers themselves. If only they were wearing their bodycams so that we had more to go on than their word...
And even if they did announce themselves, literally anyone can dress up like a cop and claim they're a cop, and I know of zero cops who would actually wait for a suspect to reliably authenticate whether or not said "cops" are really cops before proceeding with a raid like this.
There's an episode of a podcast I do where we talk about this exact phenomena with one of the /r/startrekmemes mods, /u/flelk, in which Star Trek has a ton of source material but it struggles on not only mainstream memes but memes on Reddit outside of a Trek sub. It's Episode 3 of United Federation of Reddit
They did! "Three mutant offspring - the distant future of human evolution" were included in this creepy mutated Tom Paris action figure: https://www.amazon.com/Playmates-Toys-Inc-16023-Mutated/dp/B0006ZJ7QM
If you're into a little bit of good Star Trek meme discussion there's a podcast episode I have on https://anchor.fm/unitedfederation on Star Trek Memes. It's episode 3 with one of the mods here, /u/Flelk
You know, go check out What We Left Behind if for no other reason than to see Michael Dorn continually pronunce this man's name as "column."

ExpressVPN. It's more expensive than the rest but I got 15 months for the price of a year. You can connect up to 3 devices and the speeds are insane for signals bouncing around the country.
I didn't get it exclusively for Netflix Geo hopping. CBS would have been cheaper, haha.
Bad news: It's real.
Good news: It seems to be a rushed cash grab that not even the author took seriously. Even the official description is a bit of a mess, and the reviews suggest that the writing is equally careless inside the book.
The situation is definitely much worse in America, though cases in Brazil and India are accelerating at warp speed as well.
I thought he was and IMDB still had him down as a writing credit so I thought it'd slide. Because like we talked about in our Star Trek Memes episode of the United Federation of Reddit Podcast it's tough to mainstream memes about Star Trek and Gene was the only recognizable name. We might all know the other person involved in the setup, David Warner, but non-Trek fans would be like "who is that?"
ANOVOS used to make pretty high quality repros but they were expensive and apparently they went out of business, they've been replaced with a new company but no word on whether or not they retain the Star Trek license. I doubt it though, judging what CBS did to Axanar.
You can buy uniforms for about sixty bucks off an official website but they're out of stock now, no telling when they come back in stock or how quality they are.
A quick amazon search only brings up this listing, no telling how good it is but based on the picture, not very.
> There is a reference to the episode in The Making of Star Trek that discusses the apprehension the network had and the positive fan letters that were received from Southern fans that allayed a lot of the concern.
How interesting! Like OP, I would have assumed there would be a furor over this. I may have to pick up The Making of Star Trek myself; sounds like there's still a fair amount I don't know about the production of TOS.
Beta Canon has presented a TNG Mirror Universe before. It’s pretty absurd.
Picard has a beard, which I don’t think is a bad look on him. All the male characters (even Data and Barclay) are ‘roided out. Wesley looks like he’s auditioning for Limp Bizkit.

So my girlfriend got me a gift today to cheer me up during this bleak time. Upon opening the package i started laughing and she asked what was wrong. I said the cap is perfect, it's just the label that's funny.
It's listed as official merch on the german amazon website and links to Amazon/startrek: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B01HEYID3A/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_PaaVEbQX23F2Q
So either someone in the production doesn't know their scifi, or this isn't an officially licensed product.
Quality is awesome so i can't complain. Just thought i'd share this.
