Edit: I think the lace backed ones look more natural than the plastic backed ones. They come in 2 different colors and four different styles. I recommend trying a few different styles to see which fits your face best. I tried 732, 733 and 734. 734 was a little too thick for me and 732 was a little too long. The ones in my picture are KS-W733 color #3.

From what it looks like in the picture, you can definitely put on a nice headband. But the best solution I can give you is this product right here. ITS A LIFESAVER.

Holy Moly that is expensive! I know it sounds absolutely crazy but I never paid more than $80 a pack and they were super high quality. Try the website fullshine or on amazon, using GooGoo hair. I couldn't afford $600-$800 and honestly, I've never used synthetic they've always been high-quality human hair.
These are my go to! I hope this helps.

Since you pull with your teeth maybe you can try a no bite polish. It’s usually made to prevent people from biting their nails or some people use it to prevent their child from sucking their thumb. But I think you could also use it in this case to prevent you from using your teeth and mouth from pulling your hairs on your fingers. This is the product that I used to use to prevent mail biting. I would say that it works because it really tastes disgusting 🤮

I know I tend to pull less (or not at all) when I'm around other people.
Would you consider taking an art class or finding a writing buddy? Craft stores, community centers, continuing ed programs, and places like Painting With a Twist or Color Me Mine could be good outlets. Check something like groupon.com for smaller/local shops with similar offerings.
You might find a writing partner or group on meetup.com. You could also try writing at an open space in a library or coffeeshop.
It could also help to create a barrier, like bandaids on your fingers, or an oil or wax on your brows.
Don't give up your creative outlets! Just work on modifying behaviors surrounding your hobbies.
Best!

Hair fibers like Toppik are great for hiding thin spots. They're made of keratin and work by sticking to the hair that you have and thickening it, and I swear it's like magic. A product like Big Sexy Hair's Root Pump will give the illusion of more volume in thin spots (also useful in the areas around a bald spot). A wax pomade (doesn't really matter what kind) helps tame down the short wispy regrowth when it wants to stick up. A hairbrush with tight close bristles (e.g. a boar bristle brush) helps spread thin hair over the area you're trying to cover. Depending on where your spots are, you can pull your hair up in a ponytail/bun/etc. and/or use hair clips to keep hair in place over any bald/thin spots.
I found some silk scarf headbands on Amazon that are my current preferred method for both covering bald patches and acting as a barrier to keep myself from pulling.
Here is the link! They are not perfect and kinda fall off all the time, but they help a little and I’ve actually gotten compliments on them, lol. There are others like this in Amazon, so look through!
If you're looking for a cheap wig that won't be immediately seen as fake, get one with bangs. The hairlines of cheap wigs always look really unnatural, but bangs solve that issue. If you hate bangs and/or are willing to pay a bit more, get a lace front wig from a wig shop which can be blended in with makeup for a more natural hairline.
If you do buy a cheap wig, you have to sort of 'break it in' to make it fit you--cut the bangs to the length you'd like, trim the ends a bit holding the scissors vertically so they're not ridiculously even, and pull out hairs from along the part so it isn't a synthetic perfectly straight line. You can also dab a bit of foundation along the part so that it matches your skin color.
I got a pretty nice $20 dirty blonde wig on amazon that I've worn from time to time, but it does have bangs and I know some people hate them! It's not quite as curly as pictured, but it's heat resistant so you can style it as you'd like.

I use a lightweight, satin lined cap thats usually labeled "sleeping cap / chemo cap" if you Google it or search Amazon. It's breathable, lightweight, and easy to wear all day. Best part is that because its lined with satin, it's gentle on your hair and scalp with no hat hair. ❤ This satin lined beanie has adjustable bands to fit your head.

I happen to like this one because it’s cheap and works well, but there are tons ❤️
I have one of these head massagers/shampoo latherers like this. They're soft silicone, and I try to reach for that instead of using my nails to scratch now as it's much more gentle but still helps the urge.
Your lashes will grow back! That’s where I mostly pull.
For me having fake nails helps because it makes it so much harder to grip my lashes. I also just got these silicone bracelets I wear while I work. For me I hardly notice I’m playing with my lashes so this has helped at least give me a bright visual cue that my hand is at my face. Plus they are fun to play with so they’re keeping my hands busy for now.
I’ve also started wearing a different mascara (when I have to) that has some vitamins in it but it’s also not water proof or anything so if I do pick I usually pull off the mascara and not my eyelashes. Not a great method but sometimes I need to wear mascara so it’s what works for me.

I had two thinned out spots. I go after thick, wirey hairs that were dispersed throughout my head though. I did this YouTube hair regrowth recipe when I first stopped pulling and it did seem to help! Also, I am currently following the hormone balancing nutrition plan in this book and have been since November and I’m seeing a lot of improvement on hair texture and regrowth (apparently my thick, wirey hairs indicated a thyroid imbalance this whole time!)
This! Yes! I have most definitely noticed a complete change. I didn’t pull before birth control and I did after about a year of being on it. I’m currently working on getting off of it in two months, I’ve been on it for 12 years and I think it’s ruined so much of my mind and body.
Anxiety skyrocketed—also due to life circumstances—depression and suicide ideation also skyrocketed, I began having issues with allergies and general inflammation that I never had before, have been experiencing issues with my gut, liver, adrenals and thyroid the past two years. And now it appears I have a thyroid autoimmune disorder now, thanks to BCP (women are 300% more likely to develop an autoimmune disease on birth control pills)
If I were you I’d stay away from them!!!! There’s SO many other options!
I highly recommend reading Beyond the Pill before you commit to really stay on them. It has helped me SO much, I can’t imagine the difference it would have made if I read this 12 years ago instead of beginning BCP
I’m still unraveling the connection between trich and BCPs, but it’s VERY real. Your body has a delicate balance of estrogen and progesterone that changes throughout the cycle and these hormones, along with several others that are interdependent to estrogen and progesterone, help us with anxiety. When that is overtaken by the pill the impacts can wreck havoc throughout your system
I do, but I can't confirm that it's played a big part...can't confirm it hasn't either LOL. I figure it can't hurt. The main thing was keeping my damn hands away!
This is it..

Hi there, I’m sorry you’re having a rough time. I feel like I’m in the same boat. I pull and pick at my eyebrows. And it’s been pretty bad lately. Half of my left eyebrow is gone. I’ve noticed that for me it’s something I do mindlessly when I’m in an extreme amount of stress. Something that has really helped me is asking trusted loved ones to help me become conscious of my pulling. My boyfriend will gently remind me to not pick when we are on FaceTime. Or when we are in person he’ll hold my hands. I also think fidgets are a huge help for me. This gives my hands something other than pick at my face. I’ll try to find the link to these rings that really helped me. They give me the same sensation of picking my face. I hope this helps :). One of the things that really helped me was knowing that I was not alone.
Here is the link to the rings: https://www.amazon.com/Spiky-Sensory-Finger-Rings-Pack/dp/B06XKD9WCK/ref=asc_df_B06XKD9WCK/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198090886690&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15643145943234728063&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev...
Hey, I pull in the same area! I've found that these specific kinds of fidgets have helped me a fair bit, they have a similar feeling
They may not be your kind of thing, but they do help a lot! very durable too. some can also be worn on the wrist to be more subtle
lash serums have always worked for me! i mostly pull from my eyelashes and after pulling episodes, my eyelashes will grow back within 2 weeks from using a serum. i use VieBeauti, and i have used RapidLash in the past. just follow directions and make sure you use it on a daily basis, not missing any days.
I also would love to find something similar those things are amazing!!!
My second favorite is those things with the marbles trapped in them. They fit into the same category in my mind, like I would never buy this separately from a variety pack but they work better than anything else
I never related more! My hair is my favorite feature of mine and now i feel more insecure than ever. This has helped me a bit though recently, it works great!! Hopefully the link will work but if not it’s the “L’Oréal Paris magic root cover up” and it’s only like $10! rootcover!
This is the one I got! I had tried some smoother rings, but I found the raised detailing of the sun/moon/stars is more texturally satisfying to spin and much easier to as well because it’s more grippy. ☺️
https://www.amazon.co.uk/metagio-Spinner-Stainless-Meditation-Relieving/dp/B09GXVX3HY/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?crid=2083LZWE9TYDQ&keywords=fidget+rings&qid=1670504202&sprefix=fidget+rings%2Caps%2C83&sr=8-15 the one in the middle is the most helpful for me, but all of them help (this is the uk version of Amazon but if you live somewhere outside that just search up fidget rings and eventually you’ll see some good ones pop up)
You can also buy ally GNC or vitamin stores. You can take 2400 a day which is 4 but I would start with 2 in the mornings. Totally affordable and over the counter
This is my favorite product ever. Really REALLY recommend. It doesn’t budge until you wash, the texture is a good reminder not to pull, and it looks natural!
It's the coarse, wiry hairs for me too. I never used to pull the hair on my head until I discovered those strands a few years ago and now I can't stop. It almost feels like if I pull all the textured ones out then I'll stop and be fine, but then they grow back with texture and it's a cycle.
I've tried reflecting on my feelings when pulling before too. When I stop to think how I am feeling, I acknowledge that I feel anxious or stressed, but then continue to do it bc it doesn't make that feeling go away. IDK why I can't just stop. I too feel shame and embarrassment when I do it, and when I have really bad episodes it takes a toll for sure. I am here for you 100%.
One new thing I just recently bought is this pop bubble fidget thing. I got this small one and take it with me everywhere now. I do really like it and it's one of the few that has actually helped some. I find myself playing with it for a while but then start pulling again when I put it down, unfortunately. I am going through an especially stressful time right now, so I am hoping the urge slows down in a few weeks-months. I hope this can help someone!

This is helpful. Once I narrowed down where I am and what I’m doing when pull, it helped me be more aware of the pulling. I still don’t know why I pull, but like other commenters explained, there is a strong urge and a feeling of relief when I’ve addressed the feeling.
I don’t have a solution, but I read a post recently recommending the use of silicon finger sleeves. I wear them when I’m in one of the scenarios when I frequently pull (like when I’m driving or watching tv). They seem to be helping me, though it’s only been two weeks.
This is what I’m referring to: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096SRXY37?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_G8BZPW08ES602GFBHK8Q

I believe they had the hole at the top so you can wear it as a gaiter or something but I promise it twists shut and was never an issue
great post thank you!! I recently got silicon finger covers and have a pair to put on my thumbs near my couch, my bedside table, and my backpack (for when i'm studying/doing schoolwork on my laptop).
I've tried fidget rings, fidget cubes, wearing headbands, hats,.. it feels like I've tried it all but the finger covers have really worked for me so far :) I got them on amazon, I added the link to the ones I got but anything similar is great as well.

I bought a set of guitar fingertip protectors and they ended up scattered all over my house, plus my fingertips were constantly sweating (which was weird) so wearing them too long got super uncomfortable. I’m currently loving this tape because I can still use touch screens/wash my hands.
I just got this fidget and loooove it. I think it’s closest to the sensation of pulling and pushing the pins back in is really satisfying, too. desk donut
There’s this powder on Amazon that I use to cover my thin spots as they grow back in. This might be the only thing you can use, other than a wig topper to allow yourself to feel like you can relax without constantly wondering if people notice.
This is the kind I got and it’s literally on all the time unless I’m out of the house. I also sleep in it! I’m just amazed. I actually have hope to grow my hair back right now… silk hair
I work in an office and I was pulling more and more every day, so I finally bought these rubber finger covers and I keep a pair in my car, next to my bed, at my desk, anywhere I know I pull. And it works! The hard part is just putting them on if I’m not wearing them and I start pulling, that trance is the hardest to break out of. They’re easy to type in, and I only keep them on my index fingers. Hopefully this helps someone else out there, the link to buy them is: https://www.amazon.com/Fingers-Protector-Paperwork-Cutting-Supplies/dp/B0892FXQTT/ref=mp_s_a_1_6_sspa?keywords=rubber+finger+tips&qid=1659023982&sr=8-6-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzNVRJMDZFNFQ5SDY5JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPU...
I bought this roll of tape over a year ago and it still looks brand new. $10 investment! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GL8SF6K/

Cut the tape into 1 cm strips and then tape it from your finger nails over to the finger pads. This is 100% works for me as long as I have the tape on. The tape makes it feel weird and different when you try to pull and touch your fingers together. It helps me to be mindful and zaps me back to reality. No mindless pulling. Good luck!
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GL8SF6K/
Buy this tape and cut it into little strips. Tape your fingers. It is NOT noticeable from a distance or even up close. Only you will know the tape is there. It provides enough of a tactile response that it'll jolt you out of mindless pulling. Good luck!
Hey! First of all, we are all here for you! I have pulled my eyebrows ever since middle school and I’ve gone through years of trying to find a way to have convincing eyebrows. I would highly recommend micro blading because it’s semi-permanent and you won’t have to worry about putting them on every day, or them being smudged on shirts during hugs, or melting away in the water. It is expensive though. What I have been using for the past year or so are adhesive eyebrow stickers! They are kind of like the temporary tattoos that you get at the circus. I use this brand: https://www.amazon.com/Godefroy-MyBrows-Lasting-Transfers-12-Pairs/dp/B089LNVQX4?pd_rd_w=U2GfJ&content-id=amzn1.sym.94349326-ca8a-4b0d-94f0-6931485b8573&pf_rd_p=94349326-ca8a-4b0d-94f0-6931485b8573&pf_rd_r=7SSBPPZRA3NE70ND1DWQ&pd_r...
I love them. You can get them in different shapes and colors. They usually stay on for a good day or two. I’ve used them in pools, on two day long hiking trips, etc. They are made out of adhesive, so be careful if your skin is sensitive to that.
You aren’t ugly, so please don’t let trich make you feel that way.
If I could give you some advice, it would to be to not try and hide it so much. I feel like when I hid my spots, the styles that I put my hair into (buns mostly) it would just enable me to pull more. Because my spots were covered with more hair, I would just go and pull that hair 😅 And when you’re always worried about a spot showing, that increases anxiety, which increases pulling.
Lately, I got a hair cut and the stylist recommended a product to me called XFusion by Toppik. This is a keratin powder so it’s made of the same stuff your nails and hair are, and it’s used to cover thinning areas and spots. Ever since i’ve started using it I have felt SO much more confident with my hair. It doesn’t transfer to fabrics and only moves if you touch it, and it stays until the next time you shampoo.
PLUS, when I have gone to pull + touch my scalp the powder has come off on my fingers, alerting me to my pulling and helping me stop.
I hope this is helpful!! Good luck on your journey.
Buy this tape, cut it into strips. Tape it over your fingers. It's not visible from a distance so you'll be able to wear it all day at work. This is what helped me get over trich. Just like how wearing braces for 3 years cured my nail biting https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GL8SF6K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

A couple things that help me:
Apply lotion to your eyebrows. When I put lotion on my face, I make sure I get plenty on my eyebrows. This not only darkens them and boosts my confidence a bit, but it makes them a little more slippery.
I’ve found that a lot of my pulling comes from the “itching” sensation. I pick a lot at my desk, and I bought this set that I constantly stimulate my eyebrows with. They feel really good against that itching sensation.
Know that you are not alone!!
oh my gosh thank you so much! it’s available on Amazon here!
Oh my gosh thank you so much 🥺🥺❤️ It’s available here for anyone who wants a copy.
Hey! I used gloves for a long time. They are really hard to do anything with. I started using thumb covers instead of gloves, and they work really well! They're less annoying too. I get these ones off Amazon although I'm sure there are others: https://www.amazon.com/LEE-Tippi-Micro-Fingertip-Grips/dp/B0031585GC/ref=sr_1_24?keywords=rubber+finger+tips+for+paper&qid=1643650679&s=office-products&sr=1-24.
Since you use your thumb to pull, if you aren't able to use it anymore you won't be able to pull with your other fingers. At least that's how it is for me. The covers do get sweaty after a little while, so I just have to remember to take them off occasionally (and put on a hat), and then put them on again later.
Long acrylic nails might help, you need to be careful not to try to pull with them, or you could find a way around them. Acrylics can be hard on your nails, so you could also use stick-ons to see if they help. Or do gel polish and grow your nails out really long. Stick-ons are annoying but pretty effective because you don't want to mess around in your hair with them or they'll come off.
Are you in an office? These things from Amazon really help me. All you need to put them on is your thumbs and you won't be able to pull at all. If someone asks, you can say you were using them to look through paperwork (which is what they're meant for). Link: https://www.amazon.com/LEE-Tippi-Micro-Fingertip-Grips/dp/B0031585GC/ref=sr_1_24?keywords=rubber+finger+tips+for+paper&qid=1643650679&s=office-products&sr=1-24
I also agree with the ideas to use a wide headband or a professional looking scarf. Target and other shops should have some good options. But yeah... you'll likely want to pull around them which is a problem.
I use these because they're longer than usual so, cover more. I normally wear them under headwraps and they are a little elastic-y but when I wear them alone they don't move :)
I've had this experience ever since I started pulling 18 years ago. As a child, my mom would cover my hair in conditioner (too slippery to grip hair), and have me wear a hat that was secure enough to stay all night with gloves for extra precautions. As an adult, I just apply castor oil and wear a satin sleeping cap with adjustable elastic bands so it doesn't slip off.
Some examples of sleeping caps on Amazon:

Hope this helps you :)
I have purchased both this set and this set. The first comes with bonus guitar picks, if that helps, lol.
FWIW, another thing I've been thinking about a lot is taking up guitar again. I have never gotten very good at it, but when I've dedicated time to it daily, I've managed to start developing calluses. I've been wondering lately if the calluses would be a help with trich!
I read the book Overcoming Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors and it changed my life I’m currently 68 days pull free. The book was written by therapists and did more than any “specialist” I’ve seen in person. Here’s the link Overcoming Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors: A Comprehensive Behavioral Treatment for Hair Pulling and Skin Picking https://www.amazon.com/dp/1684033640/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_XHVNJ8Y3VZ5A0G4BAJBN
I really like this, I’ve tried something similar. There’s these silicon finger gloves you can get on Amazon that do basically the same thing. They’re skin colored (though I’ve only found ones for white skin tones and not any other skin tones which is unfortunate) but they do help a lot. I like everything you said, and I have just one technique to add. There’s these finger gloves on Amazon that are made of super soft silicon that can stop you from feeling your hair and pulling it. They’ve helped me in the past not with urges but with the pulling itself. Here’s the link: Gel Finger Support Protector Gloves, Gel Finger Cots/Covers - Different Sizes Silicone Fingertips for Hands Cracking, Eczema Skin (20pcs) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M5W7QCP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_Y27E1RX2TTQHCWV0XGHF
Hey, I’m sorry to hear you’re going through this. You’re definitely not alone in this, though I haven’t been through as many struggles (based on the post) as you have. Despite that, I shall do my best in tying to help. I’ve found that not many things can make the urges go away, but I’ve found techniques in just stopping myself from pulling that have worked a bit. There’s these finger gloves you can find on Amazon that are made of super soft silicon and are skin colored that you can wear to stop you from pulling. I’ve found the texture of my hair is what makes me choose which ones to pull, so removing my sense of touch/not being able to feel the hair itself has helped me in the past. I’ve just recently been thinking of using them since I’ve started pulling again two months ago. While wearing them try and keep yourself from boredom, as for me boredom is one of the main causes of pulling. You can go for a walk, draw, learn an instrument, cook, etc. But those are all easier said than done so I understand that it’s not a clear answer to the problem, just a suggestion. I’m still on my search for more coping mechanisms so that’s all I have for now, but I hope it helps and I’m wishing you the best of luck on your journey. Here’s the like to the finger gloves: Gel Finger Support Protector Gloves, Gel Finger Cots/Covers - Different Sizes Silicone Fingertips for Hands Cracking, Eczema Skin (20pcs) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M5W7QCP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_Y27E1RX2TTQHCWV0XGHF
Here’s a decent bit about it from webMD: "For trichotillomania (hair-pulling): N-acetyl cysteine 1200 mg to 2400 mg daily has been used." from: https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-1018-n-acetyl%20cysteine.aspx?activeingredientid=1018
It doesn’t work for everyone, but 250 capsules was only $18 so I figured I would give it a try!
Talk to Human Resources, ask them what they need to allow it due to this medical condition. They should be able to accommodate you. Then talk to your doctor to get written permission to wear a beanie. For now, try wearing large hair wraps and scarves. Like these. https://www.amazon.com/Woeoe-African-Headbands-Knotted-Hairbands/dp/B087PYJQ65/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=head+wraps+for+women&qid=1642630668&sr=8-8
As a side note, yes a beanie is not the uniform, so just make sure you look clean cut and professional in all aspects of your apparel. After a while, they won't even notice.
This is really unfortunate, but please don’t be discouraged. You could try those finger/paper protector things. My therapist just recommended them and I actually just bought some today. I am unsure how they will work but I plan to wear them at work. I’m going to wear them on my pointer and thumb finger because those are the fingers I use to pull. I bought some clear ones off amazon. TheseFinger Covers. They could be worth a shot! I think they are clandestine enough for your boss to not even notice :)
I got them off Amazon but there’s tons of options on there. Good luck!

i bought this spray BRIOTECH Skin Spray for my cartilage piercing. it reduced the bump and pain so much, i started using it on my face and then my legs/pubic area after pulling and it completely got rid of that pain you’re talking about.

GrandeLASH-MD Lash Enhancing Serum is amazing! It is a bit pricey, but I saw noticeable lash growth after about 2 months of using it once daily. You can buy it at Amazon and Sephora. Sephora is also currently having a sale right now if you sign up as a member. GrandeLASH-MD Lash Enhancing Serum
I’ve struggled with this in my regrowth. I always come back to these problem areas on my eyelashes and I’ve been looking for products I can apply to my last line to prevent/treat this sort of inflammation but I’ve had no luck. For my scalp I’ve had success with using a scalp massager in the shower: https://www.amazon.com/Scalp-Massager-Shampoo-Brush-MAXSOFT/dp/B074ZDXFL6
You could consult a behavioral child therapist who’s experienced with habit reversal therapy. Here’s a resource for parents for parents by Susan Mouton Odum A Parent Guide to Hair Pulling Disorder: Effective Parenting Strategies for Children with Trichotillomania (Formerly "Stay Out of My Hair”)
I personally use this daily and it helps. You of course have to leave them alone first for them to grow. I wish I had an answer for how to stop. I've stopped about 90% of my pulling but I still mess up sometimes. Also castor oil is good for them and I find when they're oily, they're harder to grasp. I also keep my nails long so it's harder.
I also pull my beard hair! But, I like how I look with facial hair. So, my strategy has been to keep it trimmed to a short stubble and then use an eyebrow pencil to draw in my bald spots. First I fill in the bald patch and then smudge it to sort of make a shadow, then I make sure the pencil is really sharp and draw in a few hairs. The key is not to overdo it. Just a little can really do a lot.
Wearing rubber finger tips has been helpful for me. I use this brand, the only tricky part is that I had to buy different sizes bc my thumb is bigger than my other fingers: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003150RQS/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_a_0KBXP93J8SZHHAXNN2RP
Also, even though it’s annoying to do at home, when I’m really wanting to grow in a bald patch I wear a mask. I just roll it down around my chin. I make sure to change the mask out regularly (I have a few that I only use for trich prevention and don’t wear in public) or spray it with alcohol sanitizer to clean it off.
I’ve gotten out of practice, but last year I got into a good mindfulness / meditation daily morning routine and i noticed that it significantly helped me be in tune with my mind and body. It’s easier to recognize urges to pull and implement a coping/prevention strategy (for me, keeping my hands busy or putting my rubber finger tips on) when I’m in a more mindful state.
Talk therapy has also been beneficial. Trich can be a really private experience, so talking with someone about it and trying out different strategies really helped me.
Good luck!! You’re not alone!
Try using Slightly Robot. For me monitoring the no. Of hairs, I pulled, helped me reduce it gradually. However, it is really important, to be honest with yourself, even if it is a tiny hair, it does count.
For me any ring helps but my fave is one like this: https://www.amazon.com/PROSTEEL-Meditation-Stainless-Jewelry-Spinner/dp/B08HWXX6W8/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=28SXNQEYM6HDW&dchild=1&keywords=chain+spinner+ring&qid=1633386707&sprefix=chain+spinn&sr=8-3
I can get my fingernails into the grooves of the chain and for whatever reason that helps satisfy the urge. You're very welcome and I hope this helps !
I use one of those shampoo brushes to massage my scalp. This is the one I have.
I find my Tangle Teaser brush and a fine tooth horn comb work better for scratching the itch. The shampoo brush is more for massage.
Ok weirdly enough, the absolute best fidget toy I've found for this wasn't even actually a toy. It's a reusable silicone sponge like this: https://www.amazon.com/Silicone-Sponge-Washing-Kitchen-Scrubber/dp/B076ZLL5ZS
I think different things work for everyone, for me I tend to get triggered at night in bed. Whenever I’m in bed and I start getting that itchy/sore feelings in my eyelids I grab a cooling/weighted eye mask that I keep in the freezer, this is the one I have IMAK Compression Pain Relief Mask and Eye Pillow, Cold Therapy Headache, Migraine, Sinus Pain, Patented, Universal Size, Great for Travel & Sleep, Blocks Out Light https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001HTYJLO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_WG4Z3TF18N8YV8KM462N. Originally purchased it for headaches but I’ve noticed it also helps for my trich, I probably wouldn’t buy this specific one again because the elastic headband get stretched out. In thread a couple days ago one person mentioned that she had just purchased this for her daughter who is a lash puller, she hadn’t gotten it yet so idk how well it works https://trichotillomaniastop.com/product/trich-stop-oil/.
As far as regrowth caster oil is good, but be very careful if you’re going to use it on your eyelids because it will burn if you get it your eyes. I would recommend you use it at night when you’re going to sleep.
This works wonders for me. Shampo+conditioner.
Hope this was helpful <3

It’s really helped for me, I haven’t had eyebrows for about 7 years, started using it about 3 weeks ago and am seeing growth in bald spots where I never thought hair would grow back on. Here’s the link to the one I’m using: Jamaican Mango & Lime Black Castor Oil (Mango Papaya) 4oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KGD3SBY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_X5W43WXP0NBKVWHTGPPG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Supposedly this is supposed to be very good, it’s hard to tell because this has been a rough year for me.
Trichup Oil
keeping ur hands busy might also help distract you, but wont necessarily make the urge go away. one fidget thing i love are popits and these stress balls: https://www.amazon.com/Impresa-Products-Stress-Relief-3-pack/dp/B01HN3RYDC/ref=sxin\_21?asc\_contentid=amzn1.osa.4d5fcbe4-e576-4b1c-bd23-f03e4ee6e50f.ATVPDKIKX0DER.en\_US&asc\_contenttype=article&ascsubtag=amzn1.osa.4d5fcbe4-e576-4b1c-bd23...

Ok I am late to the party, but I LOVE these fidgets (many different ones available on Amazon, this is just an example) I love the texture and I got a multi-pack so I have them within reach all over my house.

Ikr? I'm lucky that I saw the idea on this sub a while ago.
These are the specific ones I got: https://www.amazon.com/Guitar-Fingertip-Protectors-Protection-Instruments/dp/B08113SYL9/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Guitar+Finger+Protectors&qid=1615396189&sr=8-3
Hats and fidget toys have helped me a ton. If I’m at home, I try to keep a scarf or beanie on. I also channel that energy into something else. I bought a couple of this fidget toy and keep it places where I pull. I like that one in particular because it has different things and it looks like a remote.
