> So I'm signed up using the office visa card.
Have you ever seen the actual card? My money is on a virtual card linked to another account that has a control panel on usage such as limit on uses, dollar amount per use, or date ranges charges are whitelisted.
It can also be set up as a one time 'burner' card only used one time etc.
I use privacy.com myself on one time purchases that are to subject to convert to rebills every 30 days just in case I forget - when they try and run it through again it will decline automatically.
Something tells me this is what you are dealing with. Pretty shitty.
Lady driver here. I mostly drive at night when there are big surges. I have the normal dash cam/mace combo, but I also got under seat lighting that make it so I can see (very subtly) if there’s anything going on in the backseat. They are $17 on amazon and look amazing.

>On a side note I can't seem to find how to subscribe to the few positive people i do find here on reddit. I tried to subscribe to your page but there's no subscribe button.
I am not sure if you use the RES extension on your desktop browser, but it allows you to add friends. Don't think you can do it by default.
Its the "safe rider fee". Now the "booking fee" after a lawsuit linked below. Its basically a hidden fee which doesn't go to the driver and makes their rates look lower than they really are.
honestly, it sounds like some driver signed up using your step father's phone number. I'd try to mention this when talking to support.

Can you try to log on through uber.com? It will ask you for your phone number through the login page and if it allows you to enter a password, it's likely that this is the case.
Per the r/Uber subreddit rules, I've obtained permission from the mods before creating this post.
If you're interested in purchasing a copy, here's the Amazon link.
Cheers!
check your state for 1 party consent or 2 party consent. if its a 2 party, get a sign that says something like the amazon linked below. thats all you need and youre good. if its a 1 party state, you dont need to do anything, just get the dashcam and go! also, if youve seen in the news lately, consent is only good for private use. if youre thinking about putting this crap on youtube, thatll get you deactivated if they find out.

You do have options.
http://www.thesaurus.com/browse/deserve "verb - be entitled to"
Do you know what a thesaurus is?
And I agree, they are synonyms when used in the same way, which is what we are doing here, and keep saying. They feel that just performing the action of driving the person from A to B in all cases means they should get a tip, and if not, they are being wronged.
Why are you still arguing this, and ignoring the actual point?
yes, i think i got it.
some time ago linkedin and myspace were both hacked, millions of passwords leaked. my username/password combo for Uber was the same as for one of these sites, as i got old accounts on both (i know, myspace lol, haven't even though about it for like 8 years). look up https://haveibeenpwned.com/ this list of usernames/passwords is going around on some torrents and darknet and wherever, and i guess someone tried their luck with mine.
since the password actually worked with my email, it got to 2 factor authentication, and i got a text confirmation about the continued login attempts. this text was the only thing keeping them from fully logging in to my account and possibly using my card. given the number of login attempts under a minute, i also suspect this was done by an automatic script, just trying for accounts that can be used for some £250 rides to birmingham or something - it happened before to other people.
tl;dr: turn on 2factor authentication wherever you can, it can save your funds
you can always request a ride from far away (ie setting your pick up location anywhere in the world). If Uber doesn't serve this location it will tell you so in the app. Else you have uber.com/cities but it's not a map.
It’s great. I can easily reach over the backseat. At this point, I don’t even ask them to put on a mask.
No mask in August, they’re intentionally trying to kill their family, neighbors, and anyone they come into contact with.

Do what I do with my Note4 Uber setup. Use a tablet for Hotspot AND any waiting time websurfing (also will keep you online while in a phone call). Get
"Lux Auto Brightness" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vito.lux and "Smart Rotate: Screen Control" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sait.smartrotate
apps from the playstore for your phone running the Uber app. These apps will let you turn the brightness WAY down and will let you easily force the screen to change orientation from time to time to prevent burn-in. It's not ideal, but it's a LOT more doable than getting Uber to change something.

>Everyone except you knows who is truly ahead
That is the saddest thing on the internet.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Dude it's time to calm down and move on.
Excellent cam, I have one! I like it better than my $600 blackvue set up. The user friendliness alone makes it more desirable than other brands. There's plenty more to like. ..
They just released a new version a few days ago. A 3 camera set up, front/ interior/ and rear. I highly recommend https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B27ZF5N3
Once she’s 40 pounds and 40 inches tall you’ll be able to use something like this.
Rather than raising the child it lowers the seatbelt to fit the child properly.
If you look at the stack overflow survey from 2017 (and from past years) 88.6% of programmers are male and 88% are white, asian or east asian. I'd love to see more diversity at tech companies but before judging a company everybody should consider the pool that they are hiring from.
They have an iPhone SE on sale at Walmart for $85 out the door including $35 for the first month of service. The phone costs net $50.
The LG G5 listed on https://slickdeals.net/ at eBay works with a 15% off coupon available today to make it about $100 out the door unlocked network. They even have a Red Pocket Mobile special today $204 for 1 year of service. Unlimited Talk/Text and 5GB of LTE data per month for 12 months. Taken together, $304 would get you a new phone and 12 months of at&t or Sprint.
$7/month is not really a lot. If you're that tight on income, you might want to look into applying for benefits. SNAP covers a lot more than $7/month for example.
I would mention ROMs for your phone, but an S3 is ancient. You really do need a newer device. Check https://slickdeals.net/ for some deals from Walmart and others. There was an LG G5 on there.
The current version of uber doesn't have this option. I noticed when I recently deleted and reinstalled uber, that option was gone. So I figured out that you have to download an old version of uber, around the time that feature came out.
This apk has it https://uber.en.uptodown.com/android/download/1676672
I think this one lists most or all of the uber updates. I thought this one would be helpful because it shows the dates for each one. Not all of the downloads are there though. You can google the different versions and find a apk download for the ones that are missing. https://www.apkmirror.com/uploads/?q=uber
You want to wait until uber fully loads after you install it. Then, when you type in an address that's far away from your location that option will appear. You can also update uber from the app store afterwards and that feature will still be there.
It kinda sucks that Uber doesn't include all of this in the current version already. But I installed the one I linked and its been working so far :) Sorry if this is long.
People are saying it's Google's fault, but it might be tied to routing info from OpenStreet Map. See how your house shows up with routing on https://www.openstreetmap.org/ If it's wrong, there are ways that you can edit OpenStreet Map, but it might take a while to get fixed at Uber.
Btw welcome to the stay home and make money Group, we game while we're home and also hit up reddit. Here is my setup. I live with only 1 roommate and he never used tv so I just game and browse internet on TV. http://imgbox.com/41RM3QEs
Lyft has in-app tipping. Uber does not.
As mentioned, some drivers have Square readers. I have Square and change for a $20 on the ready.
There is also Paypal, Venmo, Google Wallet.

I heard about his on the podcast Reply All. What happened on the case they looked at is that he uber account owner was hacked in another website then his credential were sold. Whoever bought those login credentials uses it in uber and the account and password matched. It's not that Ubers security was low, it's that the account user used the same username and password as on other websites. You can find out if any of your accounts have been compromised here https://haveibeenpwned.com/ I hope this helps.
The bold "<strong>DOWNLOAD THE UBER APP FOR ANDROID ></strong>" is a link to the Android app in the Play store.
The section below that is for Windows Phones. The Uber app was discontinued for Windows Phones in 2018. Since you do not have a Windows Phone, this section does not apply to you.

This has been my go-to since I started driving. Excellent quality video with sound, cameras on the front and back, and IR LEDs for the interior camera so you can get a clear picture even in a dark vehicle.
Another one to consider from Transcend. I use an older model of this and like it. It's a lot easier to set up as both the front and rear cameras are on one unit.
If I'm not able to cover my expenses then I look at it more of a hobby than a job. I stopped doing eats orders about 6 months ago as it was a money loosing proposition over time. I will still pick up Amazon restaurant orders and Grub Hub now and then.
A standard automatic tip is fine but the majority of customers in LA don't use it and I don't expect them to. Uber takes a huge cut of the check the customer is paying that they can properly pay their drivers.
Amazon is able to offer $18 hour plus tips to drivers in LA for restaurant deliveries without issues. Uber should be able to do the same or better as they have the volume that Amazon doesn't.
Uber and Door Dash are the worst paying of the delivery services and UE doesn't have a strict delivery time limit on their orders as say Amazon does. With Amazon, you have a time deadline that you MUST make so Uber orders get dumped to the back of the delivery schedule when juggling multiple platforms.
Uber Eats has complaints on just about every review site I've run across.

This is the one I bought from Amazon. Works great for me. I already had a bunch of SD cards so I didn't need to buy a new one.
I use this one - http://www.amazon.com/iOttie-Windshield-Dashboard-Holder-Samsung/dp/B007FH716W/ref=zg_bs_7073961011_7
Make sure you get the model for larger phones if you have a big phone. Have had it for a year and it still works perfect.
You'd probably get more traction with this question over at r/uberdrivers; but, after much trial and error, this is the one I use. Had it for over a year and it hasn't failed me yet!
How 'wrong'?
Like your neighbors house or blocks away?
just curious. You could use GPS Status
I do (No affiliation, it just works) I'm a driver & sometimes passenger, fwiw
