I'm not a BTS fan, but your post kind of reminded me of something I've seen.
Now, google seems to think that because I watch quite a few kpop videos on YT, that I automatically like bts and I've had this

Shoved in my face for a couple of weeks now.
I didn't know that BTS were filmed practically all the time. But damn. This just solidifies my pity for them. I mean, just look at the link above. When I encountered this, I felt weird. It was fucking creepy. It's basically an otome (I believe that's the genre name. Think mystic messanger type of thing) game but with real people.
I have a feeling that because they're so popular now, their company is starting to see them as just an ATM. Why else would they constantly film them? I know other kpop artists do the whole "film practically everywhere" thing, but for the most part, it's either a member holding the camera or a variety show type of situation where I suppose they agreed to have a camera on them.
I was equally surprised that none of the other contestants, except Soyeon, said anything. Maybe it’s the whole 밀당 (push and pull) culture? Like they/he thought Jiyeon was pulling away so Sehoon should approach her instead.
Though, I feel like there’s a rule that they can’t straight up say “I’m not interested in you” for suspense. Because I remember some guy asked Jia if she likes him and she said “I can’t tell you that” or “I don’t know yet”.
But then again, maybe that’s what the show is for: to chase and love freely because everyone wants to find a partner by the end of the 8 days.
That's because mainly, Lisa is a very charismatic performer, and she focuses more on presenting that than on giving incredible or very technical dances. I've noticed that she usually executes her movements very smoothly, but not in a sharp and clear way, and she hasn't shown much versatility in different styles other than hip hop, so I can see why you have that idea about her. She has a quite satisfying type of dance to see, but I still don't call her the best dancer of the female groups of this generation, but one of the best. Anyway this is not an unpopular opinion, and as another comment said the fans of a group will always praise a certain member with skills in a thing like the best of all the others.
Anyway I agree with the last thing you said, she has not been able to show all her skills as a dancer.

I agree with you as a korean national but I believe that it cannot be stopped anytime soon. There was Japanophilia, Yellow fever, Wapanese in prior times and they didn’t exactly got stopped either...
This is a really interesting thing to discuss.
Back when I was in 3rd grade my school did a thing called a wax museum, where kids would dress up as famous people in history or celebrities and they'd stand around the gym dressed up as that person with a "button" for people to press so you'd read facts about them in the first person.
Now for context, I'm white. And the person I wanted to do was Pocahontas bc I knew media like the disney film were inaccurate and I found her real story far more important/interesting. But like I said, you had to dress up as this person. So I got a random halloween costume of a typical "Indian" attire (I say "indian" bc I bet money that's what the packaging said tbh) to make things worse, I had a lalaloopsy doll that had this typical stereotypical attire as well since we needed a prop.
Now at the time, I didn't think I was doing anything wrong. No one told me it was bad, I wasn't actively trying to do anything to mock the culture (I actually thought I was doing the opposite since I wanted to tell others the more accurate story of Pocahontas) and none of the teachers nor my family thought there was anything wrong with this. Sadly, where I live there isn't a huge indigenous population, so I wasn't very knowledgeable on these things at that young. Of course I look back at that and deeply cringe, but that was sadly the environment I was in for such a long time.
