Chinese government is wanting faster blockchain development. Walton will be right at the top in my opinion. Get ready for those tx fees from child chains.

I looked at IBM's presentation and nothing really stood out to me. They're just putting shipping logistics on the blockchain. There isn't any hardware improvements, no details on the blockchain, no child chains, no RFID, etc.
> Maersk and IBM began working on a version of its software that would be open to everyone involved with every container. When customs authorities signed off on a document, they could immediately upload a copy of it, with a digital signature, so that everyone else involved — including Maersk and government authorities — could see that it was complete. If there were disputes later, everyone could go back to the record and be confident that no one had altered it in the meantime. The cryptography involved would make it hard for the virtual signatures to be forged.
What's different about that from UPS tracking, with a way to see revisions? There's no benefit to using their version if a person still has to upload something manually to the blockchain.
Walton's vision about incorporating RFID to automate information on the blockchain, making things smarter by incorporating IoT together to create smarter ecosystems, and more is more advanced than just what IBM proposed.
I was looking at the Coinmarketcap page
I have no doubt that we will be a top 20 crypto in the next few weeks
WTC recently edged up to #33 from #34 in the past few days.
Also, how in the F do cryptos like BYTECOIN have such a big market cap.
BCN is a total shit coin!
I recently went to a talk with one of the project leaders of IBM. They are using hyperledger but didn't mention anything about RFID scanning. It's basicly a concept where they put all the paperwork that's being done right now on a blockchain and use smart contracts to pay out all the parties involved in one shipping (I believe it were 29 parties). Never really thought of them as a big competitor to Walton, also because there's no public blockchain. They estimated savings in billion dollars per year (Will try to find the exact number) but this made me invest more in Walton :-)
Edit: I also think IBM is a struggling company trying to find a new market in this business space but not really working like a blockchain project.

HitBTC mostly runs shitcoins. (200 coins listed.) The top 10 coins are 80% of trade volume, and top 19 coins account for over 90% of the trade volume.

So there are two looming forks in the next few months. The first that will happen is the bitcoin gold (BTG) fork, there is actually a really nice written article about it here!. I don't think this fork will get much support from miners, exchanges and wallets and has shown signs of being a bit shady. This fork should not have a significant impact on the bitcoin and the rest of the cryptocurrency landscape.
The big fork and the one that will actually shake up the cryptoworld a little bit is the seg2x fork in November. It looks like some of the bigger exchanges are preparing to support this fork and this fork already has garnered some strong support from miners.
If you are, you can buy s2x futures on bitfinex as a small hedge if it helps you sleep better at night.
I agree, although HitBTC has over twice the daily trading volume than Binance over 40% of their trade is solely on BCC/BTC.
See below for clarification https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/hitbtc/
Also, long-term capital gains rates depend on your income tax bracket. Bonus: if you die and leave your asset to your heir, the cost basis is reset.

Binance fees are even lower if you use the BNB token to pay for fees (cuts the fees by 50%). If it is a decent amount, it would be worth it for you to buy some bnb's before making the trade, and make sure to check the checkboxes to use BNB to pay for fees.

Hey not op but dash is about 10.4% according to: https://www.dash.org/masternodes2/
2 dash / week for a masternode which consists of 1,000 dash. 2*52/1000 = 10.4%.
If we get 10% on Walton I will be so incredibly happy lol. I'm being cautiously optimistic though and just guessing 5% (again, total guess. There's no verified return rate out there as far as I know)
Hope this helps buddy

There doesn't seem to be anything on the Ledger roadmap. https://trello.com/b/5nQ1mdzt/ledger-roadmap
I don't hold Walton anymore but when i did i was planning on recovering the private keys using the BIP39 tool https://support.ledgerwallet.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005197905-Restoring-your-Ethers-ETH-or-ETC-without-a-Ledger-Nano-S
As i understand it you have to have the ethereum address private keys in order to claim the new coins after token swap, i don't know if something has chanced since then. This however breaks the security of the device and you should probably buy another one to send all your other coins to.
If you're not holding a GMN, i would simply send them out of your ledger address before the swap so you don't have to compromise the security of your ledger wallet if token swap is before ledger support.
Let me ask you, what was the actual lesson learned?
A random example 'Chaincoin' (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/chaincoin/#charts).. Same hype, same FOMO, huge pumps and community and 2 months later here we are.. A coin that lost 98% of its value ATH. Yes, holding can get you back into the game or alternatively watch your investment get smashed into the pavement never to get up again. Taking a loss early and take small losses and big wins can be a critical element of winning in this game. I agree though that we should look at change in fundamentals rather than investor pump and dumps through which we should hold.
Maybe your partner fell for the scam that's going around. I figured it was a scam straight away because I got 30 of these messages a day on slack.

Interesting, I've never used ShapeShift myself and with a company like Overstock using it, I assumed it had to be decent.
This review seems to speak highly of ShapeShift and says they have some of the quickest customer service. Did you contact the customer service any of the transactions that didn't go through, and they wouldn't refund your gas?
I heard a number of people saying that Walton would only work in China and just wanted to point out that China huge and growing fast, not to state the obvious. If you haven’t watched or looked through the Internet trend report by Mary Meeker, you should, it’s a good read with a lot of fascinating facts.

I see a lot of people already gave you answers on many points. I want add that I am thinking that you took a right approach and first done a proper research before investing. Although, WTC is my favorite and biggest investment I wouldn't advise you to go all in. Also I would wait maybe a bit to see how the future will affect the whole market. Rule of thumb, when BTC rises sharply of falls down almost all the alts are falling. When BTC is moderately stable, alts flourish. For transferring FIAT to BTC avoid Coinbase. They are greedy bastards. I use bitstamp (0.25% fees compared to coinbase's 1.5%) Then you go to binance.
If you didn't open an account yet, you can use this referral link if you like.

I wish you all the best. Good to have another Waltonian
Good news for everyone! U can get 12 cheap Masternodes @0.00055088 sats . Unfortunately i can't operate so much Masternodes because my flat is very small ...
You can join to Binance.com for literally two minutes and you don't need to submit any documents to start trading. The fact you're based in the US shouldn't be a problem at all.
I use a mobile version of MyEtherWallet for now. It works smooth and I've got no issues with it.
I'll share it with you here, cause it's temporarly not available on the PlayStore unfortunately: https://jumpshare.com/v/0vdkxlndOWq5CdTQjzju
/r/ethermining has a detailed guide, I assume Walton mining will be quite similar.
Risers these days are much better.
For my motherboard I use: ASUS PRIME Z270-P
CPU: Intel BX80662G4400 Pentium Processor G4400 3.3 GHz (you can downgrade to celeron for like 10-15 bucks less, but I bought pentium since a $10 difference for a little better processor seemed reasonable. Not sure it makes much of a difference tbh tho)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074Z754LT - these are hands down the best risers ive ever used, they have three different ways to power it and these are some of the newest version of risers I believe, never had any problem with them. They worked beautifully. It is recomended to use molex over sata. Also never use a molex sata converter, and thats why its important to read a guide, lots of reports of fires doing that.
8 GB ddr4 RAM works fine
EDIT: And the bot links to the guide im talking about haha. good bot.
