I have learned a lot from listening to the Broadway stations on Accuradio. I prefer Spotify or Pandora for every other musical style, but I find that Accuradio consistently plays the best mix of musicals.
They also have a great selection of Broadway sub-channels that let you hone in on a particular period or composer - check out their Broadway Page to see the options. I recommend the Broadway's Best and Tony Award Best Musicals '90s-'00s stations for a start, and the Wide Playlist Broadway if you're interested in hearing some deep cuts.
I'm with everyone else here, leave the lights on and have a fan blowing in the room to create white noise. Put on a radio to a station that plays music without a ton of commercials, I use to play this online station as they don't have commercials just a station id once in a while.
I wouldn't put a bunch of covers on the cage as its probably warm where you are and you don't want to make it warmer for the bird with cloth covers.
Good luck!
I recommend this site:
There are many different channels, personally I listen to HitKast most of the time. You can skip songs, pause, mute, mark songs you dont like so they don't show up in the future for you etc. But, for the most part, I just love the music they serve on HitKast channel :)
I listen to the same, favourite songs whether I'm playing games or not. Sometimes when I want to see what's new on the music scene I'll listen to HitKast channel on http://www.accuradio.com/ in the background, or some other internet radio.
CBC Radio 3? See this blog post.

Thanks! That's great stuff. If only my neighbour wasn't knocking down a wall right now! Look forward to giving it a proper try later.
Forgot to mention that Accuradio is pretty good too.
Accuradio also has some pretty good classical channels. If your area has a classical music radio station or NPR-type station with classical broadcasts, that can be really good. I love Performance Today!
Hey tyirvn. Welcome to the world jazz; it's a wonderful world. Also, welcome to this subreddit if you're new here.
Having said that, make sure to check out the posts in the sidebars. Lots of suggestions there so hopefully you're bound to find something you're after (if not, then it's not a total loss. Exploring it is half the fun).
Also, have you checked out services like Pandora and the jazz section of AccuRadio?
AccuRadio has an excellent classical selection, a long with a bunch of stations that focus on specific types of pieces. For free! It's quite good.
I wouldn't want to overstate things by saying that you may be experiencing a bout of depression, perhaps it's more like feeling a little overwhelmed by things at the moment. This is actually pretty normal for being a teenager. Hormones can do strange and funny things to your mood at your age. Small issues can easily become big problems.
there's a lot you can do. Try doing something out of your normal routine. Treat yourself occasionally to a day out or a movie. Get some regular exercise. Eat healthily. Being outdoors and close to nature is one of the best things you can do to improve your mood - go for walks or sit in the park and read a book, get out in the sunshine (depends where you are) and get plenty of fresh air.
I think you should probably ignore the advice above smoking pot. It's really not great for maintaing a stable mood in the long term.
If you feel your mind getting clogged with repetitive thoughts, look into meditation or simple relaxation techniques. Even listening to relaxing music or ambient radio channels can help : this is my favourite.
Making sure that you get stuff done that has to be done, like schoolwork, and make the most of your free time. Develop your interests and you'll soon make new friends.
Take care and good luck.
Accujazz is just one part of the Accuradio empire. Check out the amazing number of Christmas music channels it has (although with that large number of channels, I'm a little amazed that they don't have a Dr. Demento/novelty song channel)!
