Quickpic has a feature that lets you hide and password protect folders, and they're hidden in every gallery app, not just Quickpic, although they'll still be accessible in file managers. Just keep all your nsfw pictures in their own folders, hide them, set a password, and you're set. And you can use Applock if you want to protect your file managers.
You can always root it, and remove the Play store. But that doesn't mean they can't go in and side load apps. Or you try something like This Hope that helps.
Have you considered adding a password to your lock screen? If your phone can't unlock in the first place, it can't dial...
Alternatively, you could lock the dialer app behind a pin with app lock.

Next versions of Android will have multi user but for now, Just go install SwitchMe

Lets see how much I can help you here, First for syncing: I don't know of any way to sync apps directly and I'm not sure why you would want to do that. As for how to install apps to both devices easily the online Play store lets you install apps remotely and it's not hard to install to multiple devices just using the drop down list. (One device then the other, not two in one action). I'm not sure on the specifics but I think Android Beam lets you share apps as well so you could look into that.
For locking apps APP Lock has gotten the job done for me, has a few ways to quickly toggle the lock on and off.
If you just don't want your kids getting into your email you can also Disable the Gmail app (System Settings > Apps > ALL(Swipe right to left twice) > Gmail > Uninstall updates > Disable (Uninstall updates replaces the disable button, so if you can't find the uninstall updates don't worry, just click disable.)
Hope you can figure it all out! The online Play Store is really a great way to install and uninstall apps, I use it all the time and love it.
Also, look into the Google Account sync settings, if you want to limit the Google Account for the kids tablet disabling certain sync features will stop things like email giving notifications.
I've always used AppLock on my unrooted devices. Works pretty well, you'll need to make a list of all the apps you want to password protect.
You can password-protect it with Hide It Pro I think. Applock is good too.
Because it's dealing with doge, I don't know if encrypting it is a good idea. My advice is to backup your doge away from anything connected to the internet and carry small amounts for transactions.
I use an app called AppLock. It allows you to pattern/pin/password lock certain apps and settings, such as the ability to uninstall apps and factory reset

i use this it has the option to show the lock as a force close, you tap twice and hold it on the second tap and it opens the login stuff, it has the option to hide it from the app list, only accessible by the dial pad (#12345#) or something. it has loads of options, even the option to lock new applications as you download them
Are you talking about like if you're screen turns off with the app open you need a PW to open it again? Not sure of one like that but I use this app that you can use to open any app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.domobile.applock
I use AppLock on my 5 year old's tablet to keep him out of system settings, the browser, YouTube, Google Play, etc. Not much to complain about from here.
> (not letting my nephew play with my phone is not an option).
Really? Why?
But to answer your question, just lock the gallery app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.domobile.applock&hl=sr
You can try device level screen lock apps like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.domobile.applock&hl=en_US
I'm a security freak so I have the app lock for pretty much every app except the ones that don't matter - games, etc.
You could get the same app and put all of appliance apps behind a pin/swipe gesture. No more pocket dialing your door
"Safe Browser - The Web Filter" app works now. You can download it from here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cloudacl&hl=en You can lock the other browser, with this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.domobile.applock&hl=en
I use an app called AppLock to lock things I don't want anyone to play with. I like it and would recommend it. There are lots of other alternatives, but AppLock is free and you can even unlock their premium features if you enable ads (which I gladly did).
