Get an App called Camscanner and make your own. This app is really fucking awesome for creating scans of your documents and it works very very well and you can add multiple pages to your pdf.
Bare in mind I'm 14 and English isn't my first language so this won't be the best price of literature you ever read (skip the first page) https://www.camscanner.com/share/show?encrypt_id=MHhkZDNhYWRhYQ%3D%3D&sid=F66A5E6A57DD48B2df7ML9e1US&pid=dsa&style=1
>I toyed with the idea of a stand to hold a digital camera (pointing downward) and photographing them two pages (open notebook) at a time.
You can do this all with a phone now. I'm a historian who does a lot of archival work. Over the last 25 years I've gone through a LOT of different scanning/photography/copying technology. The best compromise between ease and quality is a phone ap like CamScanner. With it I can shoot a page of text in a couple of seconds, it is converted to PDF and uploaded to the cloud while I am shooting the next. My last major archival project resulted in over 5,000 pages of documents scanned but it only took me a few 50 hour weeks, a fraction of what it would have taken with a flatbed or even a wand scanner a few years ago.
Time to plug camscanner. I use it when I'm on the road, and it creates really nice PDFs from receipts. The free version prints its name on the bottom of the scan; for a few dollars you can remove that.
Basically turns your phone to a scanner.
I use it for college, instead of taking notes myself I just capture them from others after class.
I think you got just about every state in the comments haha. (Indiana here, but I will check if you update any of the others.)
I mainly just wanted to plug the CamScanner app for if you wanted to digitize this for yourself, quickly and easily. It's a free app for iPhone and Android, with a paid subscription option. It has a batch mode that allows you to take as many pictures as you want in a row, and it turns the images into a single pdf file, which is what I use for things like this. It also has some useful tools, like cropping that squares up angled page edges, and if your lighting isn't good you can choose certain filters that pop text. I've used it to save recipes for myself and send friends, with the free version you just have to put up with a small watermark in the file (pretty sure there is a watermark...), and some in-app ads that aren't very intrusive. You also get a few free uses of OCR (where it converts the image text into actual text). I have the Android version and while I think it's a great app and very useful, there's no way I'm getting the paid version, which is like $50 for a yearly subscription, so I'm really just plugging the free option. I tried a handful of these types of apps when deciding on which to keep installed and use, and this one was my favorite. This doesn't really help with sharing on reddit though, since you can't upload a pdf file to imgur to share here.
>I tried photocopying a book...
Shoot it with your phone, using a direct-to-PDF app like CamScanner. I've scanned many thousands of pages using my phone and it's very handy-- and often faster than using the big scanner in the library.
Little help now I realize, but in case anyone else is reading, digitize your notes.
I use an app called CamScanner(iphone/android/win phone) and save everything to google docs. Now I also store it all in evernote so I can organize and search by tags if I need to.
I've found CamScanner really useful for this. You take a photo with your phone, and it automagically skews/rotates the image into a flat scan. I use it a fair bit for digitising my sketches and it works pretty well.
Highly recommend CamScanner on your phone, taking photos of the checks, and backing them up. Twice.
If OP wants to keep the physical checks, I picked up one of these from a store and keep it somewhere and always have both keys on my person.

CamScanner is a decent app if your phone has a decent camera. I scanned my homework using the app and people had no problems grading it. You also get PRO version if you sign up using your uw.edu email account.
[](/ssexplains) This mobile app. Capable of turning this into this! And the basic version is free for everyone, the full version is free for anyone with a .edu email address! It's meant for taking pictures of documents, but it also works for downloaded images and I've used it quite well.
Do you have a smartphone? I purchased the app CamScanner I think for $3.99 and I use it all the time at the library. It's great because it turns photos you take of books in to great, legible black & white copies. I find handheld scanners are overpriced for what they do. If you don't have a smartphone, you might also have success using a digital camera.
I think you need premium to do this, but you can do this https://www.camscanner.com/mobile/faq?type=edit_and_ocr&id=26
I think it's because they offer cloud OCR feature which involves a lot of processing
My approach is to eliminate writing in the field altogether. I bring a little Moleskin notebook, and then pre-print the notations I need to make as stickers. I tape the stickers into the back of the moleskin, and then peel them off and assemble them in rows (and put them on tubes) to create a record. The stickers have little QR codes, so I can just take a picture of the Moleskin with my phone for data entry. GPS coordinates get tagged the same way; when I have a new location, I open a text file on my phone with all the location codes, and paste the current GPS coordinate onto that line.
Most of the time, field notes follow pretty simple formulas; tube A contains sample type B from sample location C. Sometimes you need the date and time, but you can make stickers for that too (1 hour intervals are usually good enough).
The more of it you can do ahead of time the better. I like to get pre-labeled tubes, and then make a big sticker with all the tube IDs. Then, I just grab a random tube from the bag, look at it's ID, and stick in the sample ID and type code on the row for the tube ID. If you have a pretty good idea of how your field collections are going to go, you can usually find a way to get it down to just one sticker-operation.
For sharing and backup, I use an app called CamScanner, which makes really nice multi-page PDFs from your phone's camera photos of documents.
I did this because my handwriting is absolutely terrible, but it turns out to save weight and time as a side benefit. Also, I discovered that this approach forced me to really think the fieldwork through in detail, which led to better fieldwork.
How many and what kind of swabs do you carry? I like to keep them in sterile Whirl-Packs broken into groups of ~100. That way, I can't accidentally ruin the whole lot.
You take a picture of your notes or any other physical document. It will clean it up and make it searchable (via OCR). Great for taking a picture of someone's notes or a study document. There are some similar applications out there too, but I think CamScanner does the best.
I use kind of basic stuff, but it really shapes how I work.
All my lesson plans are on Google Drive - classwork and homework documents, powerpoints, lessons, etc. I even upload PDFs of answer keys to Google Drive straight from my phone by using an awesome free app called CamScanner.
If you want better quality you can use an Android or iOS phone camera as a scanner. I know that the Google Drive app has a built in scanner and there are probably a few more scanner apps available if you look around.
CamScanner is a good one.
18-year certified document management guy here.
Adobe's tool isn't going to cut it because Adobe's tool assumes that you captured everything a certain way.
My question is this: if it's an Android phone, why not just use tools dedicated for this purpose (from photos)?
Microsoft's own OneDrive capture does a passable job, but CamScanner (Android, not sure about iOS) is my go-to for getting OCR from photos. It knows how to modify the document to be OCR-friendly.
If the goal is to do this through a desktop application your cost goes up significantly, but there are tools.
I'd suggest, if you can try CamScanner, kicking that through to see if it does enough. You should be able to import existing photos to it as well as far as I recall.
pic ^ what I meant is like under this sub-topic "coasts" there were previously like 20 cards, split between "new" and "due"but now it shows 0 on both columns, so when will these 20 cards reappear for me to review again?

Hi Bitcratic Exchange Team and the Founder (Mr. Amrendra), you may wish to pretend you aren't aware of several losses and reports of losses in your scam Exchange (whether you are scamming yourself or you have bugs in your Exchange it's left to be proven) but you can't deny your own words and chat history as captured in this screenshots. This is only one of numerous reports of lost assets that mysteriously disappeared in your Exchange and we would like to expose it to the global community to understand the scam you run and how you treat users' report of lost assets with abusive words against users that report to you about losses. If you speak one more time we will expose you more and expose the types of messy, crude and unprofessional words you use behind chat on your clients after taking their money. We have it all documented, so it's in your best interest to really shut up. Once again we call on the international community to beware of BITCRATIC.COM EXCHANGE. We strongly believe it's a scam Exchange with a very rude Indian man behind it.
Which app are you using to 'scan' the documents on your iPhone?
Most faux-'scanning' software has options to set the resolution or DPI of the 'scan' that is taken.
For example, the popular CamScanner app for iPhone has a resolution setting that can shrink the size of a single page down to about 768KB.
Or are using simply taking photos of the documents using the iPhone's Camera app and then PDF'ing the photos?
Hello Friend,
I am afraid but your solution is wrong. In physics, you will have to draw the FBD and actually see the objects in motion. Formulas might not help all the time but handy for normal problems.
The formula you have obtained for V1f and V2f is derived from finding V1f and V2f from Momentum Conservation and Energy Conservation. This will have the two bodies not connected. In this instance, there is a spring connecting the two bodies. The bodies will move with same velocity after collision. Please see my solution.
Hi Friend,
I am afraid that there are few mistakes. You were going in right direction but VHw will be a negative number. See solution.

Please see above solution
> I could scan it and print it, but I don't have a scanner at home, either. I coul
I'd recommend the same, I use the free version of Cam Scanner (https://www.camscanner.com/) all the time. I take a picture of the document, turn it into a PDF, and then print or send it.
Here you go. I feel like I can make this with just the description but the call outs are making me guess myself.
Enntia uses base 6, with some symbols and names representing multiples of it. A mix I threw in is that different names are used to count certain nouns: in the list, the first ones are used to count humans, while the latter to count any other nouns.
Here are the glyphs of 1–36, respectively. And look, they have start, medial, and final shapes, too.
Numerals from 7 to 11 are formed by putting six and then one, two, etc. after it. So 7 is Śadekk/sonnalïn, 8 is Śadï/sonnissai, and so on. The others are formed using the same strategy: 13 is Dśadïkk/tressalïn, 23 is Dśassɑ̈bnśä/hanäkratalï, etc.
Numbers are put after nouns, so deciding on using which name to say is quite easy to natives, I think.
People count the “fives” using the right hand fingers, then the “sixes” using the left hand fingers. Up to 55^senary (35 in decimal) can be counted using fingers alone, and up to 10,000^senary (1,296 in decimal) can be counted by just putting two thirty six symbols side-by-side.
However, the symbols are a bit complicated. Here's how it works: (read LtR) if the preceding symbol is bigger than the next one, it's addition. If the preceding is smaller, it's multiplication. When two same symbols are placed side-by-side, it can be ambiguous on whether it's addition or multiplication. So other than 10,000^senary , two thirty six-es can also mean 200^senary (72 in decimal).
I tried to install it on a new phone on Monday and it wasn't available. Now it's back, and it's the version without the third party Malware. See here for details: https://www.camscanner.com/disclaimer/gp
The malware was injected through advertisements from a third-party advertisement provider. So this probably means that users of the full version were not affected. CamScanner also released an updated version of their app on their website where ad services not certified by Google were removed.
>Dear CamScanner Android Users,
>Our CamScanner Team has recently detected that the advertisement SDK provided by a third-party named AdHub, integrated in Android Version 5.11.7, has been reported for containing a malicious module that produces unauthorized advertising clicks.
>Injection of any suspicious codes violates the CamScanner Security Policy! We will take immediate legal actions against Adhub! Fortunately, after rounds of security check, we have not found any evidence showing the module could cause any leak of document data.
>We have removed all the ads SDKs not certified by Google Play and a new version would be released. Meanwhile, you may contact for a direct upgrade or tap HERE to download the new version.
>We would appreciate your patience and understanding.

Note: This may be off topic, but just passing another idea along in regards to paper vs. digital maps.
While it doesn't have the ability to show you where you are on the map like the OP mentions, but I've used an app called "Camscanner" for years now for getting pics of receipts, schematics, etc.
Using the app, I take a picture of whatever I want, and I have the option to turn it into a black and white picture (or just leave it as-is) for clarity, I can straighten out the picture in case I took it at a not-so-optimal angle, and then save the whole thing into a PDF file. You can of course send the PDF to others or just keep it local on your device.
I've used it to take pictures of a bunch of documents that I need to leave with the customer but still need a digital copy or to round up all my receipts for expense reports rather than carry a wad of receipts with me.
Perhaps it could be useful for taking maps and turning them into digital copies to go on your phone.
Scanning protip: you can use an app like CamScanner on your phone for free, makes great PDFs quickly from anything. I am historian and have used it for ~10,000 pages of archival documents over the last several years. You don't even need to go to the library.
Faxing is a thing for legal documents.. Here is more on this.. https://www.standardlegal.com/blog/are-fax-copies-of-signed-documents-legally-enforceable-and-acceptable
Personally I use Metrofax it works with both Andriod and Iphone along with PC.. I use another software to scan my documents when mobile.. Its calle Cam Scanner and can be found here https://www.camscanner.com/
Anyway I think faxing will be a thing for several years to come If i was personally into towing industry I would put a black and white lazer printer in the truck as well with a small desktop computer of course power supply swapped out for 12 volt system info found here https://www.powerstream.com/DC-PC-12V-300.htm all SSD drives etc.. But I am have been playing with IT for a few years.. But faxing although ancient has more to do with legal side of things..
Thanks for the reply though!! And cool deal on the Wireless lights!

Looks like a Chinise app to me...
Several ways to go about this. Going digital is the best, but some things you need to hold on to to make life easier. I have one drawer dedicated to paperwork that I save for one year. Receipts, pay stubs, medical etc. Any of the items you may need for something like going to the DMV to replace a lost Driver's License (Just happened to me and I needed a recent bill with my name and address to prove my residence). At the end of the year I purge and shred everything in that drawer (it's a very small drawer space). Anything that I need to archive I use an app called Camscanner to make a digital copy (PDF) and archive it on my server at home that I can upload to remotely. It is also a great app to use for scanning many other things on the fly. Basically all I keep on hand is Birth Certificates and Social Security Cards for me and my child. Organizing and sorting digital files is a lot easier and saves space/time. Make sure your server or disks that are being used are secure.
> Hmm, did you digitize your handwritten notes? Didn't that take forever?
Nope, it takes seconds. For my last book I "copied" over 4K documents from multiple archives, most of them hand written. I simply shot them with an app called CamScanner, which quickly renders PDFs and uploads them to the cloud. You could do hundreds of pages in an hour, then go back later to sort the files into folders, add keywords, etc. as needed.
Easiest way to do this:
If you have access to a printer and prefer to fill the form out on paper, you can always use your phone as a scanner. I recommend CamScanner, which is available for Android and iOS, and lets you email scans as a PDF straight from the app.
Just remember to do it by 5pm on Friday!
Also OMG SOMEONE BESIDES ME KNOWS HOW TO USE CAMSCANNER!!! Seriously guys, if you don't have an actual scanner and plan to upload traditional art, use it. The full version is even free for students or teachers or anyone who has a .edu email address.
That's the biggest thing I would want to ask about if I had the option to sell a house and buy a truck outright. Everything is pretty much tax deductible, it's hard to save receipts because they get lost or fade out. I found the cam scanner app pretty useful just scan and email to a business email that way you don't have to worry about losing the information due to phone or computer problems.
Yup driver I can see being OK. It's all about rules. Not saying the guy should have gotten away with it, just saying the "boss" was acting outside of her legal authority.
