I wonder if something like Crafty Controller can be set up to run inside this. It would be cool to give it a web interface so you don't need to access the console through Putty.
Since Crafty also runs in a VM, I guess you would need to creat a nested VM as well. I'm gonna mess around with it when I get the chance.
https://craftycontrol.com/ as a server GUI/interface/control panel.
For uploading/downloading & file management...that's a bit beyond the scope here. Try https://www.reddit.com/r/admincraft/comments/f0v60h/radmincraft\_subreddit\_information/
Crafty Controller is here:
MineOS is an actual stand-alone OS here:
https://minecraft.codeemo.com/
You create a new VM, install MineOS into it as a clean OS (it's Linux-based, read the wiki), and you'll have a clean default Minecraft server running.
Crafty Controller is just a web front end for an existing server. I actually have this running on a separate Windows server because while Linux is super great and all, fuck the CLI when "unzip | run | follow prompts | it works" is an option.
For now I am settling on https://craftycontrol.com/
It does it by jar and directory. I have decided I just don't want to learn about docker at the moment. Also, I am not sure its a good fit anyway. Docker seems to be more for launching multiples of the same image. Not what I am looking for.
Thanks for the tips. I am trying to get Crafty Controller running. It is a Minecraft server web control panel running. It works fine without traefik, and it tries to connect to 8000, but is not going over https.
After quite a lot of googling, I found a similar issues on traefik forums. Still working out how to resolve it though.
So, Crafty RC2 has been releases and no bugs have been reported in over 5 days of testing. This means that it's very possible this version is going to be 2.0 FINAL. WOOT!. My first big / real release. We have over 150+ downloads so far and going strong. Why not give it a whirl - https://craftycontrol.com/crafty-releases/

Here is the change list since the last beta:
This version of Crafty patched 2 bugs.
Added ability to change port/ip of server connection as part of bug fix.
None
patched bug where usage history was always empty.
This version of Crafty focuses on Waterfall/Bungee Support, Permissions/Roles and cleanup/refactoring to get ready for possible RC status.
So, apparently the link for RC1 didn't update on the site. This has been corrected.
You can download RC1 here - https://craftycontrol.com/crafty-releases/ (link has been fixed)
Three thousand, one hundred and eighty six lines of code have been added to Crafty since it's first master branch push. It's been a labor of love. Crafty started as a "I want something other than Minecrafts server console to look at." It migrated into "I wish I could see the status of my server without running Htop on my Linux server". Later, I decided to make it open source, and put a link on /r/MinecraftServer. Then someone asked about Windows support and I was like, "Nobody runs a server on Windows!?, but I'll add support for it". I then added a ton of security, spent hours on documentation, and released patch after patch. With all that said, I am very happy to say, RC 1 is released, with support for both Linux, and Windows 7/8/10.

Several updates for this week.
A few more bug squashes happened:
Snapshot 2019W47 is on track
This snapshot will also be a "beta" release - so Beta 2. It's a great time to test out crafty if you haven't!
When you get the hang of things, and perhaps get a second/dedicated computer. You can then use something like https://craftycontrol.com to run and monitor your server.
Shameless plug, I'm the creator of that software
Details are here - https://craftycontrol.com/2019/11/09/beta-1-release/
This fixes the weird paths issues some on windows were having.
Just download, unzip, and run_crafty.bat.
The installer should jump off and after some quick questions, get you up and running.
Special thanks to Penguin, DragonNightGaming, and ConnorTron for helping me test this beast and get it working on windows.
