I have no idea if this as useful as the others in the thread but Hyperbeam is an online shared virtual machine browser that you can call with your friends on. I use it to watch movies and stuff since it’s easier than screensharing.
You can use https://hyperbeam.com—it's a shared browsing site similar to Rabbit! We used to be called tutturu.tv a while back :)
Let me know if you have any questions or requests; we're working hard to continuously improve the product!
I recommend you check if your friend can hear you on another site (e.g. Discord). That way you can determine if it's an issue on their end versus on Kosmi's end :)
You can also see if Hyperbeam is a good fit for you (I'm one of the creators).
Cheers!
I struggle with the same thing. I won't be able to see mine irl for around 3 years. Think about it this way though: The longer you wait the better it will be in real life.
But while you wait, here are some ideas. Have you tried hyperbeam.com? You can share a whole browser together and do whatever on there. Try reading a book together. One of you could read the other to sleep each night. Roleplay a bit if you haven't and talk like he's in the room with you.
I'm sorry it hurts so bad, I completely understand :( But you can do it and I'm sure it will be worth it in the end.
https://hyperbeam.com/ does the same thing, though their servers are sometimes full so if you don't subscribe you have to wait your turn. You can pass the controls to other people in the room though, which is really handy.
