Since there isn't a warranty, there isn't any reason not to at least try rooting with Kingo Root. If it fails your tablet won't be harmed, and if it works you can download this app, run it, and reboot to to be able to freely write to your SD card.
Rooting is fairly straightforward for our device, and there are some hefty benefits. This particular root method is one-click and does not trip knox (i.e. it does not void your warranty). It's not permanent, you can always un-root. If you have other concerns I'd be glad to address them.

Unfortunately that's one of those unknown tablets that nobody wants to support.
Your best bet is turn on USB debugging and try Kingoroot.

Obviously do it on one of the clones, not the original. :D
Much easier experience on any other android I have owned anyway, I simply downloaded Kingo root (windows) , enabled USB debugging (instructions are in kingo root application) and used USB to root the device. The software also unroots which I found particularly helpful.

You can root Hisense devices with a simple app. Hisense leads the TV market in China so it gets plenty of support
Though I agree if you buy a TV on black friday you can get a better deal, I'm just giving the great features of this TV with it being android powered, the software will alst a while and you don't need anything outside of it to load things like XBMC
There's a variety of apps that will do it even faster than that for you, doing it straight through HTC as well. This one gives you the option to lock and unlock and automates the process for you. It has worked on my M8 and E8.
I know... I've been trying to root my phone for days and it just doesn't work...
The easiest way is probably KingoRoot (http://www.kingoapp.com/), but my phone is not supported yet :(
It might work for you though, I can highly recommend trying it!
KNOX is a security measure that SAMSUNG is pushing now apparently. Here is more info.
Since it is thrown in with the newest firmware you could try this method which should downgrade the phone and remove KNOX then once it's rooted you would use the method I showed you before to put on CMW on. After you do that you can put on Cyanogenmod and it would be the latest version.
unfortunately the website says my i605 note 2 isnt on the list.

edit: downloading anyway to try, so far it's stuck on "checking root status, waiting on device" and keeps restarting my phone. pretty sure it doesnt work.
I found this article on here the other day. I was reading about the program they recommended called Kingo Root. I rooted last night and it was pretty painless. The program says it's a very low chance of tripping Knox counter if that's what your worried about. Not an expert, but I hope you found this somewhat helpful.
Just try it with KingoRoot (PC version as it has a higher success rate.) The worst that could happen is it not work, but I have been able to root the cheapest nobrand devices with it.
Does anyone know the best android apk to use when rooting? I require root privileges but due to reasons beyond my control I can't install anything on a computer to root my nexus 5. I'm running android marshmellow (6). Are there any trusted apks/apps that can do it without a computer?
This is the only one I can find, can it be trusted?
Ah, sorry, I forgot not all androids can't be rooted with towel root. Try this instead: http://www.kingoapp.com/root-tutorials/how-to-root-galaxy-s3.htm. I hope you haven't gotten rid of those files yet
Kingo Root is a fantastic application for rooting. It can pretty much root any phones. I have a random Chinese phone, and Kingo Root managed to root it with no problem. Also, it's as simple as clicking few buttons only.
This is more of a question for /r/cyanogenmod or /r/Android. The answer is either going to be drivers on the PC end or in the settings on the phone end.
Did you try enabling USB debugging?
If you use kingo root it's actually ten times easier. You can also use their bootloader unlocking tool to do it as well. This automated the bootloader part, link , and then this one roots it for you
This seems like a lot of work just to root. I had trouble rooting my moms Galaxy Ace I got her for christmas as well as a few other obscure android phones. I used Kingo ROOT and they rooted it really easily every time.
You can try the Kingo program to root your tablet. If that doesn't work, try posting in this XDA thread. Unfortunately you have an obscure or at least uncommon tablet so it can be difficult to find info on rooting it.
I think I need an older version. I need 1.1.6 or older. 1.1.7 added >2, Added schemes to root by flashing custom recovery, which involves risks of voiding warranty claim and soft-bricking.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2630466&page=14 Has a ver 1.1.0 exe
Running 1.2.1
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-I9500
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
Does this mean I don't have knox yet :D ?
Definitely doesn't look like this : http://www.kingoapp.com/image/0-1.jpg
From the sounds of things this is a notification that just won't go away. Unless you go into the application manager and are able to disable notifications from that service/application then you may have to root.
So you can try http://www.kingoapp.com/ but it might fail as I don't see any of the Razr phones listed but they claim to be able to root any device. Don't listen to the nay sayers that are talking about how its malware or anything like that. The program has been vetted by several thousand users including myself (twice).
If that doesn't work check out the XDA forums here to get root:

Good luck.
