I've also been looking for something very similar and was about to post here for it.
I read about using content management systems like WordPress, Drupal etc. (developed mainly for blogging) for journal keeping and similar; not really what I was looking for. Then I found an article listing 10 applications specific to project management. They're all mostly for team projects in a workplace kind of environment and seem to focus a lot on scheduling and tracking.
Out of those, I think I might try this one called MeisterTask. What I know so far:
Seems promising overall, you should check it out. Also, if you find anything that suits you even better, please link it here.
Read about this in HBR last year (agile being used for more than just software projects), but do not currently practice on infrastructure... really requires good project managers to execute (and those are hard to come by). HBR is subscription only, but the below article gives a good enough overview.

Ignor this message if you are not looking for advice. This comment is meant to add another tool to your toolkit, that is all. I listened to a podcast once on the lifesaving power of checklists and despite all the evidence that checklists lead to better patient outcomes many healthcare facilities still do not use them.
>In one example, a hospital used a checklist for one specific procedure for a year. During that time, the infection rate for that procedure dropped from 11% to zero. The hospital estimated that using that one checklist over a two-year period had prevented 43 infections and eight deaths and saved the hospital two million dollars in costs.

The advice they gave was:
If the process is complicated-> Use a checklist
Even if the procedure is routine-> Use a checklist
Even if you are confident and the best in your field-> You will make mistakes and checklists will prevent them
I don't have spare keys so every time I leave my car I have a mental checklist keys, phone, wallet, mask... If I don't do it, I dont leave my car and I have not locked my keys in my car in decades.
Good luck! You got this!
I’ve already submitted the form, but i forgot something so i’m writing it here. Meistertask has a great feature where you can automate operations on tasks when you move them between sections. https://www.meistertask.com/blog/meister-news/2015/06/29/say-hello-to-section-actions/ It could be extended by adding automations for moving tasks out of the section too.
We've been testing out https://www.meistertask.com in our small printery. We have sales/admin, 2 designers, offset print operator and bindery worker. Meistertask works really well, and most importantly for us it's free for the basic level that we need. We create a new project for each job and share it with each person on the team, its easy to allocate tasks to people and see the status of jobs. When a job is full completed we archive it.
I have a few suggestions
Notion.so has also been making news about how awesome it is. However, the above may work. Good luck on your quest. Let us know what you ended up choosing! Cheers!
I've recently discovered MindMeister and MeisterTasks. I've always wanted a mind map tool that allowed me to create tasks from the mind map itself so I could have an idea of what was going on and what other projects were in my mind at the same time. And that tools allowed me to do exactly that.
Also, as the other people said, check Racktables.
Yes! I use a program called MeisterTask which is totally supposed to be for businesses, but it helps me organize my entire life in one place & set calendar reminders for anything and everything. Huge, huge help when I get into the routine of actually using it properly haha
Actually we went the "meistertask" route, which is kind of like Trello, only a bit nicer to use. (https://www.meistertask.com/).
We only use asana to keep track of all our ideas, possible features, etc. It's not used as a project management tool.
