It seems always online is not a thing, as well as being able to pause.
Also the last game had better customization than all the games previously. I will never understand why people liked the crappy fake aero parts of older games when in NFS 2015 you have actual parts licensed from actual companies that looks good. Sure they can't license every aftermarket part ever made but it sure as hell beats anything that came before.
They've already made a blog post in which they stated NFS17 will have offline and pauses and they also admitted they dropped the ball on the cops. The map loading issue was fixed on my end by disabling shadowplay for some reason.

Looks like there will be plenty of street racing and customization in the next Need for Speed.
> Customization, we love it, you love it, everyone loves it. What’s not to love? Rest assured that we’re committed to customization having a home within the Need for Speed series. It’s not going away and it will play as strong a role as ever as we move forward into the next game and beyond.
> There’s nothing more satisfying than getting into a cop chase and feeling the heat on your tail as you tear it up through the city. Cops in pursuit, racers up ahead and then out of nowhere BAM! They bring a Rhino to a street race.
New NFS title was announced/teased on the Ghost Games blog. Sounds like it's a sequel to the 2015 reboot, but with more of a focus on cops, and the return of high customization. I'm honestly pretty hyped since I love the reboot already. It can only go up from here.
My personal request is a more focused story, like the older games had. I want antagonists, and I want them to be cringe as fuck. Those kinda shitty-yet-cool villains and their signature cars are what made me love the series so much in its golden years.
That said, I wouldn't mind if they still brought back the main cast from the last game. Spike could be a really great douche of an antagonist IMO.
Where is everyone seeing this drift cam? It doesn't look like in-game footage to me, it looks like a promotional video only. Really wanted to see some actual gameplay though and some of the customization options. Their website talked about a little but need more.
