Actually, in this very thread the Amazon page is linked that says vanity items are in the crates.
From Canada the game is $40 at 50% which is still not worth it.
EDIT: Ah, downvotes for speaking the truth. About time. I was wondering where you fuckers ran off to.
Having Origin Access lowers the price of every game on the Origin store by 10%, but it also gives you these games for the duration of the subscription, after it ends you lose the games
Not really...If you do this stuff for a living it should take you between one and two hours to model a more or less complex part... A sideskirt can be modeled in less than 30 miunutes..a hoodscoop as well...
I modeled these two front bumpers for a different game as a mod and it took me two hours each(keep in mind that I did this for fun in my free time and that I am not a professional modeler like the guys at ghost):

I would call this lazyness...I mean they could at least give us te option to black out the tail/headlights for all cars so that "feature" is not literary there for show.
Try installing the update patch (Patch 4). A link to download the update is available here:
https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Need_for_Speed:_Underground
I also had that issue and this patch fixed it for me.
Thankfully there's the https://pcgamingwiki.com/ to get old games up and running.
> Old games need so many patches.
Funnily enough in both cases issues with modern Windows is caused by the DRM used.
Even Most Wanted 2012 had the option to turn off you car by pressing the left joystick. Depending the car the light covers will come down too.
My personal opinion is that Payback is a much better game overall, so I'd go with that. But if you want a more technical reason:
If you are on console, well it's up to you. They are both 30FPS on console.
If you are on PC? Payback 100%. It can actually go above 30FPS without a config file change. Doing so completely kills the simulation rate. For instance if I was to run the game at 120FPS, the EMP lock-ons would be 4x as fast and impossible to dodge, even if the rest of the game is running at normal speed. Lastly, if you get any FPS drops the game will also slow down, due to the "game FPS tied to simulation rate" bullshit.
Hello!
Are you running the widescreen fix? If not I highly recommend you do so, the crashing could be due to a resolution issue (although it’s a good fix to install in general due to the features it brings).
If that doesn’t fix it, follow the instructions here to force the game to run on one of your CPU cores, the aim of this fix is to stop a crashing issue related to entering shops. Hopefully it will also help fix the general crash that you’re facing!
Lemme know if any of this works!
Upvote if you want Linux version of Need For Speed. Do not downvote without thinking about Steam Machines and mostly Steam controller http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1109900 and Vulkan api https://www.khronos.org/vulkan, which is even supported from Windows XP to Windows 10(Even Win XP) and even DICE is involved in the development of Vulkan api as of course the tweet is of Johan Anderson, from DICE.
autohotkey was my solution
1. download autohotkey here https://autohotkey.com/
2. open notepad
3. copy and paste the script below
4. save file with extension .ahk
5. right-click the file > compile script
6. double-click to run the compiled script
F1::Numpad2 F2::Numpad8 F3::Numpad4 F4::Numpad6 F12::Suspend,toggle
you can change the keys to whatever you want, F1-F4 was the most convenient for me, F12 to toggle the script on and off
If it's that one, it's a newsboy cap turned sideways. Here's one on Amazon:
While I am definitely not a supporter of pre-orders, keep in mind that you can refund on Origin. So you don’t need to pre-order last minute, if you are unsure that the game is actually decent.
It is 99% most likely that it will have Origin DRM, its just early on so that haven't stated yet, but im pretty sure they will update info later. Should Pre Order soon though, there is a 20% discount till end of August

>Even though a lot of people here probably don't have any interest in the classic NFS games
Not me, the classic era is the most interesting for me
Weird glitch, I can run NFS5 perfectly in windows 10 and it never happened. Maybe this site can help you
https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Need_for_Speed:_Porsche_Unleashed
Just buy it through Origin. After you first started the game you have 24hrs to evaluate the product. If you're not happy you can just demand a refund for it.
> If you can pay your way to upgrades you supposed to recieve by putting in work, you're being babied. No ifs and or sugar coating that. Only way I can see it as not is if you pay for it and they make the AI even harder (which they won't).
I don't quite see it that way, since there's nothing completely hidden behind MTX, but that's a fair criticism.
> I can see you basically ignored all my main points to justify the game.
All your other points that aren't purely subjective, are either wrong or unrealistic.
I did somehow miss the one with dynamic weather, to which I point out that the game is set in a fictionalized version of Las Vegas, which is not known for it's variance in weather.
Now, I'm not saying that these things will make Payback good, in fact, it could be worse than 2015. But to say that Ghost have been focusing on graphics and leaving behind content is objectively wrong.
If i'm thinking of the car you're referring to, it's a 964 owned by Fish from Risky Devil (I wonder what this guy does for a living, he has so many cars!)
Okay, you guys seen the movie, but did you read the book?
Well, i did, it follows the same story and the same characters as the movie, but it expands it in many parts such as (spoilers) his time in prison, not too bad actually.
Its also on android but not compatible with my device. >:(
Hope they port this to PC and consoles. Reminds me a lot of the pre-release character creator from Saints Row 3.

> Important Consumer Information. This app: > - Is free to download > - Does not include in-app purchases
I'm very impressed that a phone app published by EA in 2019 has no in app purchases.
Colleen was Production Coordinator for NFSMW - https://www.linkedin.com/in/colleen-keyland-60bb971
She actually has listed Mountain biking, rock-climbing and hiking as her interests. Seems like ???? person was Colleen.
Unfortunately I couldn't find anything regarding Cindy.
Yes thank you. I don't think the game is bad but I bought the deluxe edition for my gf and I so we can just drive around and have some fun racing game it was my fault for no researching about if there would be online free roam I just thought it was going yo be like NFS2015 except bigger and better. Oh well, lesson learned for anyone wondering here is the refund link. https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/great-game-guarantee
> As consumers, people have the right to complain about a product they don't like.
This subreddit is nothing but shitting on EA/Ghost right now, it's one giant circlejerk and it's becoming very repetitive and annoying not to mention not very constructive either since all (possibly) negative points have been already stated multiple times. People buy a game without doing proper research / waiting and then bitch when it's not the way they imagined it would be? Buhu, tough luck - not like we could get a 10 hour trial for as low as $3.99 AND watch videos and streams days prior to Deluxe version release or heck, just not pre-order if you're not sure what you're getting and wait for post-release reviews and what not. Casual redditors / NFS players shouldn't suffer because of the mob who feels like they're entitled to everything. Either way, people who absolutely hate this game should just go here and save us all the hassle and endless ranting.
Yeah, pretty sure we'll be fine. Just hope we get a variety of settings to play with, including AA. Probably won't happen but how I loathe CA...
Fuck me, sounds like a beast build. You got any pics?

EDIT: It's the 12 min video in spanish from yesterday.
Skip to 9:44. Not assuming. This is what we've seen of the performance upgrades as of now. As you can see there is no choice for each individual upgrade. A 1 to 5 level scale with just higher price tags attached. Could there be another menu? Maybe, but unlikely at this stage. That is your assumption though.
For the 1995-2008 titles, unfortunately that is the easiest way, since the other way is just second hand discs that are mostly overpriced.
https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Home - this site have have useful guides to solve compatibility problems that these games may have in a modern PC
Windows 10 is notorious for breaking Carbon, for a variety of reasons. I suggest looking at https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Need_for_Speed:_Carbon
It's got fixes for most of the problems you could encounter, and links to the patches you'd need to fix them
it's the exact opposite actually, underground 1 feels complete meanwhile underground 2's city feels so dead that the game is unimmersive as a result
underground 1 never suffers from this because you are not forced to drive around the city aimlessly
furthermore underground 2 drops all sense of speed effects aside from camera shake which makes the cars feel like they're going half as fast as they were in underground - https://hooktube.com/watch?v=QPl3X1Dz-r8
the only objectively good things underground 2 added is tuning and the 3000gt, is300, g35 and rx8.
99% of the customization that the game added is visual cancer (who the fuck wants to put spinners on a supra, the customization is geared too much towards lowriders unlike underground 1 which kept it purely import tuner scene), not to mention a lot of cars don't fit thematically (a3/tt/gto/106/corsa/navigator/escalade/hummer) and they dropped the neon/s2000/integra, the last two being integral to car culture especially at the time. then we have the civic/rsx missing from eu release, integral to car culture at the time as well.
that leaves us with no sense of speed, a dead city, out of place cars, uglier customization - i don't see what makes it better than underground 1 with all of this in mind
You can check out PC Gaming Wiki for almost every PC game before playing. It helps me most of the time. Here is a fix noted there https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Need_for_Speed:_ProStreet#NFS_Pro_Street_Generic_Fix
The Origin pre-order page lists "Styling Sticker[s]" and "Unique Identifying Sticker[s]", so not all hope is lost.
I don't think it's 30 days. https://www.origin.com/en-us/great-game-guarantee It's only 30 days if you can't launch the game due to "technical reasons within EA’s control". ;)
https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Need_for_Speed:_Carbon
Make sure you just put rhe files in the scripts folder in your NFS Carbon directory and go in and enable the settings you want in the .ini/configuration files.
That's a key re-seller I believe, and I think there are some ethical concerns with those that you could look into if that matters to you. Greenmangaming is mostly legit, and if you have an account on their website, Payback is available for pre-order for $50.99.
https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/need-for-speed-payback/
It's not a miracle

TLDR: Project like SoapBox Raceworld won't get sued if
a. The project distant itself from the original IP
b. The project don't take any money
c. The project don't have a mobile port
SoapBox Raceworld ticks all of those boxes
Maybe install Proxmate and Spotify/Pandora package. You won't be disappointed, I personally prefer Pandora, but both are great internet radios.
EDIT: No, don't install ProxMate, it's paid now and bloody awful.
Double Buffered Vsync enabled by default with no in-game option to disable it is the worst culprit. Besides being a surprisingly demanding game, any kind of drop from the 60 fps will fluctuate down to 30 and back up to 60. It's horrendous.
It does based on the speed point card found selling on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Need-Speed-Payback-Points-Digital/dp/B076BDL825/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1508259018&sr=8-5&keywords=need%2Bfor%2Bspeed%2Bpayback%2Bspeed&th=1

Wanted to put the Bunny into the Rocketbunny, hence the color. If it looks washed out, increase your contrast by a bit.
Yes, but oftentimes, as u/ashar_02 said, the performance really does variate between systems themselves, regardless of CPU/GPU. Iris Xe is a million times better than any previous iGPU (on the Intel side of things, anyways) but unless you have the EXACT same laptop, you can expect a different experience. For example, a Gateway (which is essentially Acer on a budget) laptop with that processor would have a way worse performance than, say, a Razer laptop with the same i5-1165G7 processor. Plus, you may not have the same configuration, as the person in the video may be running with a higher TDP on their laptop, and therefore their laptop would be more powerful than one running the stock TDP. Also...are all the settings at their minimum, from resolution to visual effects to display scaling? All of those should get you to about 30 fps, and from there, if you are willing to drop a few frames to increase a few visual effects, you may be able to. But running a modern game on a (presumably) thin and light laptop should not be something that you expect to get super-good performance with. (That is, until AMD's Ryzen 6000 mobile chips drop with their RDNA2/Navi 2 graphics, which will CRUSH anything Intel has to offer...for now). But yeah, enough with my rant. crank the settings all the way down, and save up (or shell out) for a laptop with at least an NVIDIA GeForce 1650 in it (or wait until the aforementioned Ryzen chips launch in a laptop). Good luck and (hopefully) happy gaming!
Depends.
Shit paste that burns out in a month costs 2$ per tube.
I use this, and with careful application it can last for years: https://www.amazon.com/Arctic-Silver-AS5-3-5G-Thermal-Paste/dp/B0087X728K
I have a similar problem. My setup is the same except that I have a GTX 1080.
PCGamingWiki mentions a problem with low FPS - supposedly it has something to do with Origin, but I'm not sure whether there's a fix for that:
https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Need_for_Speed_Rivals#FPS_drops_on_average_machines_with_high_details
Small correction: only Hot Pursuit (2010), Undercover and Shift are on STEAM, the rest apart from Pro Street^1 is available on Origin and Most Wanted 2012 is currently free.
^1 Pro Street doesn't seem to be available as digital download, so for all older titles I guess retail is the only "official" possibility.
>But it imho has a better sense of speed in its physics
the physics have nothing to do with why underground 1 has a superior sense of speed, refer to this video
Yea your controls are fucked mate. Try updating all your hardware drivers, maybe reinstall them. Does the game support your controller (it certainly should, but who knows)? Try resetting the controls ingame, maybe even reinstall the game. Make sure your controller hardware is working fine with a tool like this one.
If it's not supported, you can use DS4Windows which makes games see the PS4 controller as if it were a Windows supported Xbox controller. I've used DS4Windows for years and it works great for tons of games. It works for Heat too.
Also here's confirmation of some other performance upgrades. > The Performance Pack includes an exclusive Performance Sticker, and early access to a High Performance Turbocharger, Engine Block, and Exhaust.
I'm still on the 7M myself and I don't really plan on building it, just taking care of the headgaskets once spring comes. It's a-okay as it is. I know what you mean, though. As much as people like the 1J - some even asking when I'm gonna swap mine - I'm in love with the 7M. Here's mine! http://imgbox.com/g/BdPZxiJMe2
Did you try emulate it to xbox 360 controller? Some games don't support Dualshock 4 natively so you have to use third party program to make the game recognize DS4 as xbox 360/1 controller.
Here is a best software for that
Apparently the second game barely broke even on development costs.
Given that a remake's core demographic would be people who enjoyed the first game, it's understandable, even if it's not an outcome I'm happy with either.
The backwards compatibility is a nice start, though.
Alright cheapest reliable one I could find is here
If you need help just contact me. I'm from Budgetpixels.com so I can find deals for you. Just let me know
NFS2015 is online only. Get a refund if you have connection issues.
If you got the game on Steam, either download DS4Windows and configure that to run as admin, run at startup, and in settings check "Hide DS4".
https://github.com/Ryochan7/DS4Windows
Or in Steam go to settings, controller, general config, check PS controller support (make sure this is unchecked if using DS4 instead).
Common step is to right click game on Steam, controller, and enable Steam input.
It really comes down to personal preference.
Xbox Controller: basically plug n play.
PS4 Controller: works 99% of the time by either launching a game through Steam or using DS4Windows. The only issues I've had is some really old games not detecting the controller.
Try https://github.com/Ryochan7/DS4Windows, I found this yesterday and it's a much better and updated version of DS4Windows. I used the HID thing that was listed in the Wiki, and I was ablw to get exclusive mode working through that.
As for not being able to reverse, it might be your deadzones. The way I calibrated was stopping my car, enabling auto-reverse, and seeing where my car would go. If it went forward, I would turn the deadzone for throttle up, if it went back, braking deadzone up. Make sure you handbrake every now and then to "reset" it. Also, set it into reverse, to see if it automatically goes forward (if it does, adjust so there's more deadzone on the throttle).
Repeat till you get it almost perfect and that's how I got it working for me.
Normally I go to the forums of nfscars.net.
But currently their forums are down, but this is the website they sent me to download it and it worked perfect for me!
https://www.filehorse.com/download-need-for-speed-carbon/?amp
And what exactly do you know about game engines? Because you're all talk, but you need to show some credentials if you're gonna come spew all that bullshit around here. Or at least try to find some proof to back what you're saying, because the programming community begs to differ.
It should be on the app store today according to this. I am willing to bet the app store hasn't been updated yet. Usually around 4PM EST it gets fully updated.
Looks like there will be plenty of street racing and customization in the next Need for Speed.
> Customization, we love it, you love it, everyone loves it. What’s not to love? Rest assured that we’re committed to customization having a home within the Need for Speed series. It’s not going away and it will play as strong a role as ever as we move forward into the next game and beyond.
> There’s nothing more satisfying than getting into a cop chase and feeling the heat on your tail as you tear it up through the city. Cops in pursuit, racers up ahead and then out of nowhere BAM! They bring a Rhino to a street race.
As far as I know, yes.
Here’s a video on YT showing the case and the disc for the PC version as well.
And you obviously also have disc versions for the PS4 and Xbox One :)
I have this system and run 2012 with all settings on high. This is a five year old system, so yours should be fine.
