But... you die if you jump on the turtles in Mario Bros...
EDIT: 10 downvotes? Y'all need to learn your Nintendo. I'm right. You instantly die if you jump on the turtles in Mario Bros. They are not Koopas.
Here's a link to an online emulator where you can play the game, have fun stomping on those turtles!
EDIT 2: Just got to Level 40... a new record!
"What is NESbox?
NESbox is an emulator of NES, Super Nintendo, Sega Mega Drive video consoles, built on Adobe Flash technology and it can only be run directly in your browser's window."
Did I mention it has online multiplayer?
Edit: IT HAS MULTIPLAYER, GUYS. I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT.
(I do apologize.)
You're wrong. There weren't any spiked ones in the Arcade original.
In the 'Mario Advance' series, the Mario Bros. Arcade game was included and the turtles from the original game (THEY'RE NOT KOOPAS) were replaced with Spinies, a different and more relevant Mario enemy.
EDIT: Here's a link to an online emulator where you can play the game, have fun stomping on those turtles!
^(and DYING)
It works perfectly, press small button on top of controller, and look for Bluetooth devices on phone to connect. If you have UWP emulator you can have every gaming console in your pocket, you can connect to any TV with Continuum with a controller , Impress the hell out of people.
UWP Emulator 📲 http://nesbox.com/emulator
open it in the Edge browser on Xbox One, you will need to get the rom of the game off the internet and upload it to your onedrive account. I Can't tell you where to get the roms its against the rules here.
Luckily emulators and USB controllers allow you to experience those great console games again. It's not exactly the same, but it's still pretty good.
nesbox.com has a great collection of NES, SNES, Genesis (Megadrive for you foreigners :P) and more. Or you can download the ROMs and an emulator.
Don't let your childhood die!
Nesbox.com has all the old games. Here's the Lion King game you were talking about. Motherfucking giraffes. I keep falling. And can't forget the motherfucking hippos.
I'm as guilty of video game nostalgia as the next 80's child, but I don't think I'm gonna waste much time on that one. Give me an NHL '94 hack with today's teams and players and maybe I'll bite.
That's not really the point...I mean, if he just wanted to play the game he could find other ways.
The DOS games Xcom: UFO defense and Cyber Empires aka Steel empires, both very excellent strategy games that still hold up very well, though their graphics are obviously shit considering they're around 3 decades old.
Also, pretty much any NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Game boy, Game Boy Color, Game boy Advanced, and atari game through emulators and roms, sites like coolrom to download them, or sites like Nesbox to play em online. (Obviously you should only download/play games that you currently own, considering that's the legal technicality that they sometimes go with.)
Ps. The game is Balloon Fight for the NES. I know it isn't reddit tradition to tell you what game you're posting about so I'll probably get 1000 downvotes for this, sorry giuz
For those curious it is absolutely dope as fuck http://nesbox.com/game/nes/balloon-fight/rom/f0a482b229c157ffa2f9f0aa792c52a2
TV tropes is without a doubt the best thing to do when bored. Or maybe play some NES- and SNES-games online?
notice me senpai
Ahhh shit man, sorry to hear about the break-up. I went through all kinds of shit with the opposite-sex in my late-teens, was besotted with someone who'd friend-zoned me but led me on like fuck and it ruined my getting-ability.
Luckily, I met an amazing girl a year later who I'm still with now, and we're getting married next year and I look back to the times I was 18 with complete relief that I didn't end up with the friend-zoned person.
Anywho, back to the proposed hilarity. I'm British, so won't send you anything too much related to British humour so have some inspirational words to start with: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zo6weN7VSa4&feature=kp (even though I love my girl, this still fills me with regret about not taking advantage of my younger years!).
2) Secondly, some musical inspiration - I don't really play guitar, but this always mesmorizes me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzEb3SatfNg

I would recommend starting with the classics then. there are websites that have taken old games and made them website compatible.
This will let you try out a variety of the classics and help you decide what genre of games you may like.
this way you don't have to invest heavily before trying some games out. Also steam has mordern games that you can play for free.
Agreed. You could always go here.
This is the first one and you can even download a program to use a controller. There are plenty of other games on there as well for both NES and SNES, though there is no MG 2 as far as I see. Have fun doing nothing else for the next few hours.
