What you're looking for exactly, is at www.spikenow.com. Its really easy when you have a unified inbox - all your email accounts are in 1 place, and you can see ALL your calendar events in a single calendar view. You're right - you have 1 life, you don't need a split calendar.
I love it because it work with Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo (basically any IMAP email) and is on all devices - I have it on my iphone, ipad Mac and use it on web too - it's also available on Android and Windows.
Its really about finding your flow, which can sound a bit amorphic.
- Some mindfulness training outside of work helps.
- Turn off notifications (this is a major one!).
- take short breaks
Great points! Also keep in mind that when you seriously multitask, you may feel like you're getting more done, but you actually are wasting time. It can take up to 25 min to get back into any task once after being interrupted.
I found this helpful to help cut down on all the context switching:

You can setup a separate Sent items folder or include the send items within your conversations
I use spike
I've almost tried all of the recommended mail clients by people.... But i absolutely loved spike mail app.... It turns ur mails into chat. Basically no long list or swiping through each messages of the same sender. Instead spike just bundles all messages of a particular sender and inside it places all of their messages just like any normal chatting app - simple chats with bundled messages - minimal and boosts productivity - one click unsubscribe and auto archive feature - has both unified inbox and individual inbox - has some "spike exclusive" features like - taking notes, tasks and group chat (which i don't use but still they are unique and interesting)
Check out Spike, an app created for the purpose of team collaboration.
Works on top of your pre-existing email and converts your emails into chat-like multimedia messages, based on the people and groups that matter more to its users, while eliminating clutter. Spike automatically turns its users’ old and new email messages to natural chat conversations. Spike supports realtime messaging, document and file sharing, voice and video calls, and collaborative notes and tasks, eliminating the need to use multiple apps to stay in tou
Spike is a really great tool for email productivity.
This tool is— a revolutionary approach to email.
Spike is a complete productivity platform with online collaborative Notes and Tasks, integrated voice and video calls, Groups chat, and more. Helps keep you organized and saves time.
Here’s how it works:

This is the fastest way to find everything in your email or conversation, including files and attachments.
Spike offers quick actions to organize your inbox like deleting thousands of messages in bulk, 1-click unsubscribe.

How to De-Google Yourself and this, but even your search terms are saved, lol, imagine that coming out.
And in exchange, allowing the company to collect and store your email, password, all the emails you've sent and received, contact list, IP address, location data, online behavior, and more?
You shouldn't just ignore privacy policy when it's about personal and sensitive information.
And who knows what else... Considering it's proprietary software.
Spike is the best Email app for Mac/iOS/Android!
Spike is the future of email.
The Spike app transforms your inbox into a imMessage like interface!
I use Airmail, Spark, Apple Mail but Spike is way better!
Free or Business options + Apple Silison support!
I think the best mail client for MacOS is Spike. I've tried all the best reviewed, which is none of the two you mention.
Canary Mail, Airmail and Spark is three of the best reviewed mail clients for MacOS.
But the reason I think Spike is best, is because the client shows your mail like a conversation in a messaging client. Which is a huge plus in my book.
Mail conversations containing a lot of replies can quickly become confusing because the mail contains so much content from quoting.
At the same time, the client is using very very low resources and you will receive a push notification instantly with no delay.
Give it a try, if you want: https://www.spikenow.com/ - I have nothing to do with the company. I just love the way it shows the mail like a message conversation.
You can also try Spike. They don't split your inbox the same way as Superhuman, but it splits it between important items and essentially, junk messages. So your main inbox is much cleaner. They also have a unified inbox, which personally really helps me when it comes to my calendar - since it unifies it. It's also much cheaper than Superhuman.
Yup. That's exactly what Spike does. Emails can be grouped by sender - just like an imessage or any messenger. Super convenient when it comes to see all files/ media shared by the contact.
Thanks. Here's why I will not use Spike. :(
> In order to provide you with the Service, Spike may securely access or store your email address and password, your emails and other conversations and your contact list (including any public images attached to contacts in the list).
Spike works the same way (chat-like message structure). I installed it but haven't used it much yet.
I use a combination of Apple's Mail app plus opening/re-opening Unibox many times until it works. I do what email task I need to do before it crashes again and open/reopen it when I need to do a new task. :(
For sure-Spike, the world’s first conversational and collaborative email platform.
Spike allows you to seamlessly go from email and team chats to voice messages and to video meeting — all in 1 workflow. It creates a single feed for all of your work, so you can stop switching between apps.
The platform works on top of your pre-existing email, giving you a chat-like experience, adding Tasks, collaborative Notes, and now also Video Meetings right in your inbox.

Highly recommend .

You should def try it! I highly recommend
Do you mean like this?
There's also this video on youtube.
Been in your situation before and decided to start using Spike. It's a conversational email app that displays email threads in a chat- like form, where you can add as many email identities as you wish to and either view them separately or unified.
What's really great is Spike’s knows which emails are important and which are non-essential. So for example, your work communications will automatically be found in Spike’s Priority Inbox, while newsletters, promotions, and other junk gets placed right into the Other Inbox to help keep your main feed clean, allowing you to focus on what's important.
It is also a platform where you can manage your entire workflow with Spike's Collaborative Note's and Tasks, Built-in Calendar, Video and audio calls, Group Chats and many more features that eliminate the need to jump between apps :)
Spike is an amazing Gmail alternative!
Its a Conversational email turns mails into chat-form.
It groups emails from all your different accounts into one simple, easy-to-use, and secure app, using AES-256 encryption and a unique key for every message.
In addition, Spike lets you prioritize contacts so the most important emails stay at the top of your inbox, while promotions, newsletters and other junk get moved to the “Other” folder.
You can easily use Spike with your gmail on Windows 10. You get everything from gmail and a ton more options like send later, snooze and reminders. I use it on my iphone too.

Note: I don't work for Spike, nor am I associated with them. I am just a user who didn't find a community of Spike users and decided to create my own.
You should try using Spike. I use it for all of my email and collaborative workspace needs. It's a conversational email so it turns email threads into chat- like conversation making it super easy to navigate inside your inbox.
There are three different modes to organizing your conversations- Inbox, Subject and People which is a great feature for a users that use emails as a main channel of communication and you can add multiple email identities to Spike and choose to view each Inbox separately, or together in their Unified Inbox.
What's also really great is that Spike knows which emails are important and which are non-essential. Spike has plenty of other features and tools so feel free to write to me privately :)
Try using Spike! It's a conversational email that displays your inbox in a chat- like form, making it easy and fun to communicate with your teammates and all you need is an email address!
It has some really great tools for collaborative work like online collaborative notes and tasks, built- in calendar, group chats and priority inbox. the best part is that you don't have to jump between apps since you have everything in one place :)
Yeah, of course, we’re just having some fun.
The generational segmentation is awfully flawed for most uses in product management. While demographic segments can work for some things the trendy approach is psychographic segmentation: https://blog.crobox.com/article/psychographic-segmentation It gets expensive to do the research to uncover segments in your product’s market though.
I do stand by my observation that many older colleagues are stuck using email for near-real time conversations that the threaded chat tools handle better. (Or they switch to SMS/iMessage which is then outside the company’s record retention scope.)
But then there are companies reinventing email to tackle these needs eg https://superhuman.com/ and https://www.spikenow.com/. There’s a aomething for everyone!
Spike will put all your junk messages into a separate Inbox, so you can mass delete junk super quickly. If your goal is to separate all the junk and get rid of it fast, this is the best way.
When Inbox was sadly stopped I did a trial of all mail clients, suggested in forums like this one. There was nothing even close to it.
The other day someone suggested Spike, not Spark, but Spike. I am starting to really liking it. It can bundle mails by subject or by people and has "Others". Mails are grouped by Today, Yesterday, This Month. Much like the Inbox. It misses the accordion style list and you cant collapse and expand section (at least I did not found). But the app is excellent in terms of design, usability, performance. I was able to swipe and archive (like I did with Inbox) group of mails and organized it in a matter of minutes. There is a mobile (Andorid and iOS), desktop and web (!!!) clients.
I am using the free offering and do not see any limitations for the moment.
Hope that helped someone in pain with gmail!!!
We all use Spike email - Spike brings your entire workspace into your inbox: email, chat, calendar, calls, team collaboration, tasks — to one place. Stop switching between apps, cut distractions, and focus on what's important without ever leaving your inbox.
You should try Spike. it has all those features build in to allow you one stop Email/IM/office suit with note taking, chat, video, collaboration app. all you need is a Gmail or outlook account and you are set to go. It has either desktop or web interface and i use it for all my email, chat and management needs @ work (I'm a devops engineer) BTW the support told me that sometime next week they will have a big launch with new features and improvements.

Has anyone tried Spike? https://www.spikenow.com – I'm looking at it now and I like what I see. It doesn't have swipe and it it seems def. early in its development... but promising. Still tinkering and trying to figure things out. Can't figure out how to see other folders like "Sent"
Spike treats all data with the highest sensitivity and security to ensure that the user data is protected. Spike stores the metadata of the email using the AES-256 algorithm. When you click to view the entire email, they fetch it from your provider using the IMAP protocol. Privacy and security are their top priority and is never used, manipulated or shared any of the user’s data or information. You can read more in the security section of Spike Knowledge Base or ask them any security related question via [email protected].
The permission to G Drive, contacts, etc are only to improve your usability when using Spike for seamless integration, etc.
Spike is the only company that really disrupt the old email concept and made it Conversational, modern and fun to use - hence their popularity.
Check out Spike! Its got great email encryption, organizes your inbox with neat bundles better than gmail ever could, and presents mails in a chat-like view so no more annoying and messy header separations.
Spike! You can find them at www.spikenow.com. They have a conversational email format so your email threads look like an iMessage or Whatsapp feed so you don't need to deal with annoying separation headers. It also bundles all emails from each contact so all emails from that person show up in one continuous feed. When you want to unsubscribe or delete mass emails, Spike also makes it super easy. I use it to manage multiple emails from my freelance clients and it saves me so much time with all the tools it has.
People need to leave their phones and computers on silent! Basic decency 🤷🏻♀️ I really recommend noise-canceling headphones. I use Bose and they're great. Now I just need to find a way to take work calls in the open office space without bothering my colleagues (no private office or meeting space yet...)
Mostly, I like it. Or maybe I just got used to it. I prefer shared small office spaces and private offices for meetings/calls. The lack of privacy in the open office can get annoying but it also can help boost collaborations...
It's sort of up for debate if the open space or closed office is more productive. For me, I like the more social aspect (makes work fun) but its extremely distracting when I really want to focus and get stuff done. I think it really depends on what kind of worker you are.
In my job we started using the app called Spike that Adam commented about and it's amazing!
The chat like interface makes so much sense and I finish going thorough my mails super quickly.
Try it out and thank me later :)
We all use Spike email (Conversational chat like) as a team of 12 people - available on all platforms (ios, Android, MacOS, Win and web) - super efficient and fun. We use the Group feature to manage our projects internally and externally with our customers.
Must try...!!
I found an app called Spike that I absolutely love. It has strict secuirity policies and is super comfortable to use. It has a chat like interface and I get through my mails really quickly with it. It's available on all devices (desktop and mobile) and it unifies all my accounts (Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo) into one inbox.
It even has a dark mode on mobile!
Here is a link if anyone is interested.
I personally use the Spike app. It doesn't bundle like Inbox did but it has a chat like interface and I get through my mails really quickly with it. If your employees spend less time jumping between different workplace apps and less time on their email, they would naturally be more effective. I use Spike and what I love about it is my email experience so much more efficient. The search is extremely fast. I can literally find any email or file just by searching for it by name, person, tag - I don't even need to remember who sent it or which email account its.
Spike also has emojis and gifs built in - so maybe if emailing felt just a little more fun, that would satisfy their need for a little more lightheartedness.
I use www.spikenow.com since it works on top of my Gmail and has snooze built in. There are a bunch of other useful features, including email triage, bulk delete, unified inbox. It's conversational, so it feels just like a messenger.
I disagree...Spike (www.spikenow.com) is not a simple face lifting of features, it's a totally new approach to Communication that should be Conversational, Real-Time, Unified, etc....So lots to see in the next few years.
