Just to clear up some confusion in this thread, Oldschool Runescape (2007scape) is not being shut down, just Runescape Classic. A lot of people still play old school, myself included, even more than Runescape 3. You can check out the subreddit /r/2007scape. There's even going to be a mobile client releasing soon
Edit: For reference here are screenshots of RS Classic and Old School RS

Likely the easiest way to achieve this, is to just download the entire website and extract the maps locally. Downloading everything shouldn't be too much overhead in terms of data volume compared to large map images. There is no need to write a script yourself, there are plenty of programs for this. I had good results with Offline Explorer in the past, but there are (free) alternatives: https://www.topbestalternatives.com/offline-explorer/
In order to be successful swapping from Win to Linux you better look for "alternatives" because we use a different kernel with different FS most of the time and certainly things work differently. Some vendors create versions for different OS's and they keep the name of the software intact so in that case you can use following it's own install method for every distro. Be aware that most distro repos don't include latest version of software due to stability however you can always inspect vendor site and download using a manual method.

Haha, oh man, I don't know how I missed some of these comments in my notifications! Here's my two cents on that subject....
There are lots of games like Happy Wheels, but it's no guarantee of success. Hell, even Guts and Glory has its own "copy-cats," but it doesn't buy them a ticket to success.
There are also a million "copies" of Doom... ...and Tetris... ...and Mario Bros... ...and Overwatch... ...and Warcraft... ...and how many Battle Royales existed before PUBG?
Some of these did well and some were epic failures.
Also, YouTubers and Gamers in general make associations like this all the time. It's how we often describe games or movies.
For example Ben & Ed was called "3D Happy Wheels" when it was released too! Whaaaat? (BTW, that game was made by only 2 super talented dudes!)
The entire Arts & Entertainment Industry is a collection of things inspired-by other works, and then innovated on top of that; we collectively iterate games and genres and they are judged and directed by markets. (Studying Art History provides some interesting parallels about this too!)
It all comes down to one thing: how much value are you adding to your iteration?
I just looked at more screenshots and it was indeed SimCity 2000. By logo, I guess I just remember seeing the company's name, but we had that exact CD: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/uTsAAOSw2YZbvTdh/s-l300.jpg
Looking at the OG Sims CD it seems like it was really released by EA Games at the time although it mentions they're the creators of Sim City... so I'm unsure whether the game splash screen had any mention of Maxis or not, I might have confused it because I was like 10 at the time and both titles had the word "Sim" (or "Sims") in it, which didn't mean much for 10yo me who didn't know much of English at the time.
I also remember spending a lot of time in Sim Theme Park which I assumed (again by the name) was made by the same company. It seems to be the case since EA is mentionned on the splash screen (https://www.topbestalternatives.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Sim-Theme-Park.jpg).
I even tried reinstalling that game on W7 a couple of years ago for memories. I don't recall if I succeeded or not (likely not) but I'd be willing to reinstall W98 in a VM or some random old PC just to make it work and play again 20 years later (it's crazy, I know). Games used to be... not as complicated as nowadays... I guess. Not sure.
Oh that's hilarious. I thought this was a 3d render made using one of these programs because the tabletop it's on just looked black to me. I tried using one of them once for planning a dungeon and it was such a pain in the ass I stopped.
Both Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis and Arma2/Arma3 are basically an empty gameworld and the missions involve placing some props, units, and scripts in that world. I remember in Operation Flashpoint one of the missions involved waiting for your CO to arrive, and I waited and waited. Finally I walked up the road where he was supposed to be coming from and found he had crashed his Jeep and died lol. Bad AI driving, but it was cool that could happen. Same sort of things still happen in Arma2 and 3, and it even uses much of the same scripting language IIRC.
I do think the setting of 1980s Europe was more interesting than the Arma2 and Arma3 setting though. But with mods (Vietnam/WW2, etc.) it doesn't really matter, and most/all OFP missions have been ported to A3. Arma3 graphics are light years ahead of the original OFP.
Oh man that brought some memories back. I used to love kicking those big purple fuckers off of walls to instakill them.
Anyway, here's an article I found https://www.topbestalternatives.com/spartan-total-warrior/
Fire Emblem Heroes. Plus you can earn some Platinum Points in the game to spend on My Nintendo if that's something you are interested in.
Also some decent games here, though anything there I am familiar with I played on consoles, but I imagine the mobile versions are probably good.
I cant get past how this sounds so much like the golden axe games and dungeons and dragons.
I found this list you can check to see if anything sparks a memory.

That website is pre-built apps that were made portable, but the OP wants to sandbox his own set of apps. So PortableApps.com can't help.
Here's some sandboxing apps that the OP can try -> https://www.topbestalternatives.com/sandboxie/
Oh really? I thought there was an apple version. Mines Android though. Sorry.
Hmm. I went to see who the Devs name was, it's Artflow Studio, so that's not any help, I thought they might have produced it under a different name.
But no.
I did find this though, no idea if any of them are any good:
Cam software has an overlay but I have never gotten it to work for me.
The amd driver software has an overlay that works and input it in the bottom left. But it doesn’t give CPI temps, just gpu.
I am currently playing around with https://www.topbestalternatives.com/agaueeye/
Which has an overlay that seems work well.
Wow! I haven’t heard Pangya mentioned in years! It used to be a fairly popular game in Philippine LAN shops in the mid 2000s.
Also, here’s a “listicle” someone wrote about regarding similar games.
My mac has two fans and it work great on it. Never had any trouble..
You can also try alternatives I will leave the link below so you can check and see if any of those work better on your case.

Some headphones come with the software to do this.
Did a quick search and got this result: https://www.topbestalternatives.com/best-voice-changer-software/
IDK how much any of those costs if anything but additionally, you could search for specific free alternatives.
The art direction is downright bad IMO. Just look at some of the models in the main menu... Mobile games blow this games art style out of the water and it's so baffling to me considering how damn good Titanfall 1&2 were stylistically speaking.

The art-style is really the only thing that I think is poorly done about this game. Everything else is excellent and it's a shame really because the cosmetics are what's suppose to support this game's development.

I'm sure you guys have found some alternatives considering the age of this post. Just thought I'd add this here anyway.
